We had Mark as the photographer for our wedding in August 2022. He was recommended by a family member who had seen some of his work. From the outset Mark was easy to deal with, he explained everything clearly and was receptive to what we wanted. On the day of the wedding Mark was everywhere at the advertised time, he put even the most reluctant subject matter (me) at ease and has produced an amazing set of photographs. We could not have wished for better and we highly recommend Mark.

From start to finish, Mark was incredible. During our first meeting, he was easy to talk to and helped us decide on what we wanted for wedding. When the day came, we couldn't have asked for a more dedicated photographer. He was polite, fun and helped us feel at ease during the entire ceremony and the shoot after. The pictures we were sent from the day where nothing short of spectacular, and out of the hundreds we received from Mark, there wasn't a bad shot in the bunch. We couldn't recommend Mark highly enough. Quite simply, a fantastic photographer and a nice guy.

I would highly recommend using Mark for any and every occasion you wish to have photographed. He photographed our wedding and the photographs he provided were simply stunning and exactly what we wanted. Mark has such a relaxing and friendly presence he made us both feel so at ease when we were getting our photographs taken. We had him the whole day and he arrived promptly in the morning to captured both of us getting ready and my arrival at the church. Apart for our group photos he was the invisible man but managed to captured every moment of our wedding in such a natural way, nothing looked staged and nothing was missed. He has such a great eye for photography he captured some lovely quirky photos which we always have now to remember and cherish of our wedding. I will definitely be calling on Mark again in the future for family photographs.

Mark shot both our city hall legal ceremony (just the two of us and our parents) and a second wedding party a few weeks later (including friends and family too) and he was beyond brilliant. He was super helpful before both events, making himself available for calls to chat through everything, and on the days themselves he was fantastic - he captured so many amazing pictures from formal set-ups to the candid shots of the day. We were absolutely delighted with his work (which he also turned around very quickly after the wedding). We would recommend Mark in a heartbeat!

Working with Mark on our engagement photos was an absolute pleasure! I reached out after finding his site via google and checked out his facebook page to get an idea of what sort of photographs he would take. I was certainly impressed by what I had seen and what really stood out was quality of his work. After a couple of e-mails back and forth we arranged a Whatsapp Call to disuss the ideas I had for my secret proposal. Mark had a couple of great suggestions for places to do the shoot as I am currently living abroad and had no real scope of the northern coast. We agreed to work together and everything worked out really well. He was very punctual and made the shoot seem effortless and kept us both at ease as we had never done anything like this before. No awkward poses, no cringe moments... everything was spot on and that all goes down to how Mark managed the whole situation. Mark photographed our wedding on 26/04/19 and he was wonderful!! I would highly recommend him to any newly engaged couples who want amazing photos! Mark was so easy going but also very professional and he had great attention to detail. He gave us lots of helpful advice to help us feel at ease in front of the camera! He captured all of the emotions from the day and has provided us with photos that we will cherish for a lifetime. He is also very efficient with his editing (we received a fabulous slide show of highlights within 3 weeks of the wedding!! And the full photo repertoire a week later!). Mark was quick to reply from the start, and was very flexible given current circumstances with COVID-19. He had previously taken photographs at our venue, and his knowledge of the site really showed in his photographs. He made us feel at ease and was keen to make sure he got the best photos on the day. He took more photographs than we had expected, and each and every one helped to capture our day perfectly! He even took some pictures with our dogs who joined us on our wedding day! After the wedding, he was very quick to upload our pictures onto his website, and we were able to download them all securely as high quality images. Mark was our photographer at our recent wedding, and we can't rate him highly enough. In the run-up to the wedding he was fantastic at giving us advice, particularly when it came to timings. He was super flexible and happy to work around what we needed. On the day he was an oasis of calm amongst all the madness. Our friends and family all commented on how lovely he was, and how much he put them at ease. He was able to travel between the venue, the house where Jon was getting ready, the pub Jon and his groomsmen went to for a quick pint before the ceremony, and back to me at the venue again, without any issues. Finally, the photographs themselves - we were both STUNNED. I really hate seeing myself in photos, but Mark has managed to make me feel beautiful (no mean feat). He captured some amazing moments and fantastic shots. Looking back through the photos is like reliving the day, I can almost step into them and feel like I'm there. From the traditional family shots to the natural, candid photos, they're all incredible. We can't recommend Mark enough, a genuine lovely chap and a wonderfully talented photographer.

Having Mark as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. As a enthusiast photographer myself, this was a very important part of the wedding for me, which I was given full permission to decide! We liked Mark's natural style capturing those special moments throughout the day. His unobtrosive and relaxed attitude made us feel very comfortable throguhout. We met with Mark to discuss our special day and he was more than accommodating when we asked him to take photos for a separate day (part of our chinese wedding celebrations). The photos arrived quickly after the wedding and Mark gave us full control over the layout of the album. Where do we even start with thanking Mark. Mark captured our wedding in August this year, he also did an engagement shoot for us. Prior to booking our wedding photographer we did lots and LOTS of research. Mark was on a shortlist with one or two others, what swung it for us was our skype conversation. We immediately knew that he would be lovely to have around on our wedding day- do not underestimate how important it is that you get on well with the people who will be there on your wedding day. Mark had a fantastic ability to understand exactly what we wanted, he was really open to what we said and just seemed to remember everything we had talked about before our big day- I think he really listened to us. He was so easy to have around, in our houses he seemed to know what moments to capture and was so respectful of the fact that it was a special family time. What I just LOVED was that we got time at our drinks reception!!! I have been at so many weddings where we didn’t see the bride and groom until dinner- we were mingling and chatting with our family and friends. The last but probably most important part is the photographs!!! I couldn’t believe that mark had them with us by the time we arrived home from honeymoon!!! Both our engagement and wedding photos are so so beautiful, he’s really captured the mood of the day and even has all the little bits that we might forget! If you are in doubt of who to pick for your wedding photographer I fully recommend Mark, Particularly if you like a relaxed style but I honestly feel that mark would 100% get your vision and capture it beautifully , whatever it is. Mark was our wedding photographer on Easter Monday 2019. We cannot recommend him highly enough. We met with him before the wedding and he was very helpful with advice and tips for great photo locations but also for managing our time to ensure we got the most out of our day. Out of all our wedding suppliers, Mark is without doubt the best experience we had. His professionalism is second to none, from emails, to phone calls, and especially on the wedding day. Though I didn't think about it before our wedding, it's likely you will spend more time with your photographer and videographer on your wedding day than most of your family! With that in mind, you want somebody who you can get along with, and enjoy their company. Mark was great to have around on the wedding day, and both Kaye and myself were delighted to share the day with him. Before our wedding, a photographer friend of mine advised me to get a photographer with close to or more than 10 years experience of shooting weddings. I could see the reason for this both on the wedding day and when we got the photos. Mark was able to see shots and photos no ordinary photographer could pick out. From shots in the house before the wedding, to the church. Even in the speeches, Mark was able to pick the people out who we were speaking about in the speech and take a picture of the moment - fantastic. Tip: We did an engagement shoot a few months before the wedding and it was a great idea. We got more comfortable on front of the camera, and were better able to relax with the camera on our wedding day. Plus, we have great photos from the engagement shoot. As I said already, of all our wedding suppliers, Mark Barton was by far our best decision.

I really can't believe that Mark's rating on Google is 4.2. There's only one 1 star review dragging it down and to be honest I don't know how you could ever rate him at 1 star. Weddings are very important things so I appreciate you're not often going to have a lot of 3 star ratings. It's a boom or bust world as a wedding photographer when it comes to reviews...plus there could be some bitterness creeping in to reviews (especially as time passes from the wedding). For me and my wife Mark has been nothing but a boom. The man was a gent throughout. He was so easy to have around the place at all times, took great photo's and captured all the fun we had. If you're looking high quality photo's and someone who you never feel intrudes throughout a manic day then Mark's your man.
