Got vouchers for my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. Mel came to their home and we had an enjoyable, fun and informal session getting photos in the garden and round the house. I would recommend Mel to anyone looking a photo session Wilford family and friends. Thanks Mel!

We booked an outdoor photo shoot with Mel with our 14 month old daughter. From start to finish Mel was great, she took time to play with our daughter first so that she would relax which made the whole experience much better. We got some lovely natural photos and plenty of the three of us as a family too. As well as the outdoor shots we also took some within our home and Mel was full of suggestions and used her experience to create some great memories. Heartily recommend Mel and she deserves all the five star reviews you see here, will definitely use her again in the future.

Mel came to the house to take newborn and family photos when little one was 3 weeks old. She was very easy to work with and made us all very relaxed and at ease. We also have a 2 and 4 year old who she was brilliant with and had fun littles games to get them smiling. All round great experience.

With the challenge of a toddler and new born on a cold November afternoon for an outdoor autumnal shoot, Mel came prepared with hand warmers and balloon/bouncy ball/ Polaroids to introduce our toddler to the session and to keep them engaged. Even with toddler tantrums, Mel was calm and we did not feel pressurised. She was very approachable and made the session fun. The photos and colours of the scenery are beautiful in the final prints. We love them and are beautiful memories for us to keep. A special thanks also to Mel who accommodated a change in date when the children were sick.

Melanie is a fantastic family photographer. She has all sorts of tricks up her sleeve which ensure photos have a natural look to them. I had family photos taken, she took a range of photos in different settings . The kids absolutely loved the colour bomb photos!! What a fantastic experience we've had with Mel. She captured the grandchildren just as they are. She was very attentive even when my granddaughter wanted to look for daisies with pink petals, Mel spent the time exploring and talking with her. Honestly the best afternoon we've had with the grandchildren, and the photos are simply beautiful. Well what can I say came across Mel on suggestions on Facebook and decided to contact her. The experience I received from first contacting her was excellent. I was looking a photographer for our wedding day told Mel what we were looking and she said she would like to meet up and do some photos so met at lady dixon gardens. The photos were so relaxed none of this oh stand this way do that pose. So Mel took loads of different photos some she took that we hadn't even realised. So she then few days later sent us our photos and we knew straight away that's who will be doing our wedding photos. The wedding photos were brilliant and what a fabulous album Mel had put together. I cannot recommend Mel enough. She was absolutely brilliant! I was in pursuit of a professional photographer capturing the magical moment of proposing to my girlfriend. Mel helped to capture the emotion of the engagement combined with the naturally beautiful Northern Irish coast, which is a very special and meaningful place to my now-fiancé! She put us at ease immediately and made the whole process fun and entertaining! She went along with a very elaborate plan to make the proposal a surprise, and suggested a few ideas herself - communication was so easy given that I was planning this from England!! She was invested and interested throughout the build-up and during the whole session. In terms of what sort of ultimate photograph I was looking for, she was brilliant in making that a reality, and we now cannot wait to recieve the photo album from the day of the photography session 😄 i have one very happy and surprised fiance now! We had the absolute pleasure of working with Mel Hudson recently. She joined us for a Post-Covid family gathering where she took formal and informal pictures in my dad's garden. My dad has a love of classic cars, many of which he has restored and Mel was excellent in capturing his collection as a backdrop in our photographs. Mel was fabulous from start to finish during the day. She took time to listen to what we wanted to capture, got to know us all, showed great patience and vision along with a real passion for her job as well as helping us all relax and enjoy the day. Nevermind amusing 9 children and keeping them all in line! Brilliant photographer who I would highly recommend.
