C.Sarah is a wonderfully talented photographer - I knew this already when I booked an autumn mini-shoot / maternity shoot with her because I'd seen so many examples of her work on her website and on Instagram. What I didn't know was how my toddler would respond to the session. He's a 'lockdown baby' so we had never done anything similar before. I didn't know whether, despite her talents, we would get any nice shots at all if he wasn't keen on the experience. I didn't need to worry. Sarah combines all her experience as a photographer with her experience of family life and knowledge of the realities of the toddler mindset - she just *got* it when my little one was feeling shy or uncooperative. She found so many ways to get him engaged and excited despite his initial nerves and we got amazing photos. One moment she caught was my son trying to listen to baby in my tummy - it's such a special photo which I will treasure.
It's clear that Sarah really cares about her work and wants families to have a good experience and great photos: my son started to feel ill on the way to our first session and it quickly became clear that he needed a bit of TLC at home rather than to be outside in the woods. Unprompted, Sarah insisted we go straight home to look after him and we rearranged the session for the following week without any fuss.
I can't wait for our next sessions with Sarah!

Sarah is not just an amazing photographer but also an amazing person that makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed. Sarah has always been fantastic with our eldest son and instantly makes him feel comfortable and happy. She captures the true expressions and personality of him in her photos by giving him the opportunity to just be himself.
We have had a few shoots with Sarah over the years and there was honestly no one else we would have considered to help us take photos with our newborn.
The photos she has taken are everything and more. They are something we will always treasure.

J. W.I can’t recommend Sarah enough! I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from a maternity photoshoot but Sarah made the whole process so easy and made me and my partner feel totally comfortable. Her communication prior to the shoot made me feel like I’d known her for ages! Sarah totally understood what we wanted from our maternity shoot and was more than happy to also include our dog in the pictures, which was important to us. Thank you Sarah, the pictures are gorgeous and exactly what we wanted to remember this special time.

We went to the shoot with my toddler as well as newborn, and she was patient and put the children at the centre of everything. My tiny baby needed feeding a lot during the shoot, my toddler was reluctant to sit and have a photo with his new brother, but Sarah worked around all this with ease. P. P.Following on from a fabulous mini sitter session with my son, I decided to book Sarah for a double birthday celebration photoshoot in September 2016. I'm so pleased I did! Shooting outside in the fresh air, the kids had great fun playing in bubbles and running around. This resulted in beautiful natural shots. There's something special about Sarah and her ability to capture the true characters of children.
Sarah helped with every stage, from planning the props, the children's outfits and designing a special layout of art panels for me. She managed to translate exactly the image I had in my head, into the beautiful images in my gallery. It is obvious that Sarah really loves what she does and I look forward to many more sessions, capturing my family's special moments and milestones.

What I wasn't expecting was how many ideas Sarah would bring about the sort of pictures I needed and how to set them up. She had thought of a lot more things than I had! She made me think about what information I wanted to get across, what posts I would post throughout the year and where these posts were going to be used, social media or marketing etc. We even did a little covid picture!
I now have many beautiful images that I can use for a variety of things for a long time to come and I couldn't be happier 😊

It was very welcoming to talk to somebody different who understood me well. I absolutely LOVE my images, for the first time in quite a long time I looked at one that shows my belly and liked it! I feel proud of what my belly and body has done growing my 4 children. My photos are natural, I don’t where make up and didn’t even wear the magic knickers as I really wanted the photos to be true to myself! N. B.I found Sarah after Googling breastfeeding photo shoots in my area and not really finding anything in the style that I wanted. I'm not local to Colchester, but am so glad that I travelled to get the results I wanted. Talking to Sarah ahead of the shoot I could tell that she understood the love and strength that I wanted to capture to reflect my breastfeeding journey with my son. Sarah works in a way which is baby led, so no need to stress on the day if your little one is in a grump or teething (as mine was!). Sarah was totally relaxed and encouraging. Her knowledge of the local area and the light / weather are fantastic teamed up with her energy and understanding of children and motherhood, plus of course, her talent for photography. She captured the special moments and chatted and laughed with me through other bits. (One spit up and baby outfit change was no biggy!). She even helped with my feeding position which is a total game changer. I hadn't realised I'd been sitting in such an uncomfortable way and building up a load of tension. As for the results, the turn around time for getting to look at the photos was fast and the results were phenomenal. I had to buy extra as they were all amazing and I have very few professional photos that I really love of myself. The best thing is she managed to get 'that look' that my son gives me when we are close and feeding. Something I will treasure for years to come - as I'm sure one day he will be towering over me and the memory of him cuddled on my chest will be far, far away. Thank you Sarah!
