After having to re-book our wedding due to COVID, we decided at the last minute that we wanted a photographer to capture our small wedding and reception. Darryl came recommended to us and we are so pleased with the photos we have received and the level of professionalism from Darryl. Due to an unforeseen circumstance prior to the wedding, we had to reduce our hours at a moment's notice and Darryl was so kind and understanding about our situation which myself and my new wife Ellie are so grateful for. We would highly recommend him - the photos we received were a mix of natural and formal which is exactly what we wanted. Thank you again!

Darryl is a highly skilled and experienced wedding photographer. He put us completely at ease at both our pre-wedding shoot and the big day itself. He is great fun to work with and was able to build an instant rapport with both us and our guests. We had Darryl for our wedding photography on 18th June 2022 and I cannot recommend him enough!! We had the images back within a week (which is incredible) followed closely by the USB. On the day, we barely knew he was there but looking at the photos you would think he was everywhere. I personally wanted more posed images than naturally and he literally nailed it, the posed images are fabulous and the natural ones are so fab to look at and see people enjoying themselves 🥰❤️ Highly recommend him!

I got in touch with Darryl after I attended a friend's wedding a few years ago because I just loved the pictures which he was taking of them at their special day and I wanted to book him for my own wedding. We had to move our wedding once because of the pandemic and I was scared I will lose all of my suppliers but it was no problem at all for Darryl. He is very professional and such a nice person to be around. We did a Pre-Wedding shoot at our venue a few weeks before the wedding and that alone was great ! When the big day had come,Darryl arrived on time and made stunning Pre-Ceremony Photos of me,my daughter, my mum and my maid of honour getting ready. He also captured the little things like our wedding rings, the cake, personalised cuff links and just all the things, I would have forgotten about. Stunning ceremony pictures and beautiful pictures of all friends and family in a very natural way. I received a lot of compliments from all of my guests of how beautiful my pictures are . Would always recommend to anyone if you want beautiful pictures of your special day or any other event.

We booked Darryl as our wedding photographer, we had been recommended by a family member who had also booked him For their wedding before hand. Darryl kept in touch throughout the 2 years of wedding planning (I booked 2 years in advance), we had our pre wedding shoot and met up with Darryl at the venue, which was good as this way we knew exactly what to do for the photographs. On the day, we were soo lucky the sun came out (wedding was in November 2019) and the photographs taken were amazing, Darryl came to my house for a few photos as the ladies were getting ready, then met the men at the venue for some more photos, we had a selection of natural shots, group photographs and then just of us, the photos were brilliant. Our wedding album is fantastic and we would HIGHLY recommend Darryl as a photographer. Darryl was really friendly and made us feel comfortable throughout the day!! Detailed, personal service throughout. Darryl was fun, made myself and my guests feel at ease throughout the whole day. The pre shoot was great and Darryl was wonderfully accommodating given that my husband and I weren’t in the best of states physically. Darryl photographed our wedding in July 2019 and we could not have been happier. Darryl explained how everything would work well in advance, visiting us at home and bringing samples for us to review. We did a pre-wedding photoshoot at our wedding venue, so that we could get used to working together. He is very relaxed and professional and put us at ease which is great when you're not used to being photographed! On the wedding day itself, Darryl arrived in plenty of time, dressed very smartly, made sure we knew he was there and then captured all of the important moments before the wedding itself. He was like a ghost during the day, appearing at just the right moments to get the pictures we wanted, but also suggested shots we hadn't thought of with some great results. Darryl spent ages arranging the layout of our album so that it was just how we wanted and we're very pleased with the quality and design. We picked a slightly unusual pale blue cover which went with the colour scheme of the wedding. Darryl had lots of options for us to choose from. Overall we would happily recommend Darryl, and in fact we have already used him again for a different event, a family photoshoot.

My first shoot was in a gym environment, never done anything like that before but Darryl made me feel at ease and so much fun! Then going onto to do a slightly different shoot in the studio, we got some amazing shots, always very professional and reassuring. Darryl photographed our wedding back in 2016 and we couldn't have asked for a more accommodating photographer! He tailored the package to our wedding needs and the guests were all impressed with his organisation for the group shots. The package included a pre wedding shoot which was great because it gave us all a chance to get the feel of what it would be like on the day. This was useful for me - someone who doesnt particularly like being photographed and we got some lovely photos to keep as memories too. I have also had a maternity shoot with Darryl. I really wanted some lovely photographs to keep as memories of such a special time and Darryl did just that. I was rather anxious when I arrived at the studio but Darryl was great at making me feel at ease and took photographs I felt comfortable with. Finally, a newborn photo shoot for our baby girl at 2 weeks old. Again, Darryl was accommodating and very patient (being new parents everything took a while!). The photographs are beautiful and we were extremely grateful that we managed to have these taken before lockdown! We are now able to treasure those moments and share lovely professional photographs with our family and friends. Recently, Darryl stepped in at my sisters wedding at short notice (he arrived within the hour!!) until her booked photographer arrived capturing some of her most magical moments. Overall, a highly recomended photographer.

I was always able to contact him and ask as many questions as we liked. Before the wedding we had a pre-wedding shoot which was a great idea, it helped us get used to the camera and get to know Darryl more too. This made us more relaxed for our special day. On our big day, Darryl was amazing he put everyone at ease. We wanted natural photographs with a few group ones. During our church ceremony Darryl was wonderful he snapped quietly away making sure not to impede on the importance of the ceremony. For the group shots afterwards he was relaxed and organised everyone calmly without being pushy. At the wedding breakfast and evening do Darryl was great. He had taken some lovely photographs but we hardly noticed he was there. He wasn’t ‘in your face.’ He worked really hard. Our wedding album is truly amazing. The quality of the photographs are magnificent. Everyone whom we have shown it to loves them and we do to. Being a Professional Dance Teacher and Performer, I understand about attention to detail, passion for your profession and, above all, talent. Darryl has all three in bucket loads, along with an exuberant enthusiasm that can only come from someone who loves his job, and is highly confident within it. I have worked with Darryl on Dance/Modelling Portfolio shoots, and have always been delighted with the shots captured. He listen to ideas, and presents his own in a none imposing way, in order to get the best out of the individual. He explains poses and directs in a very comfortable and relaxed manner, making it a pleasure to be photographed. Darryl was also booked for my annual Christmas Ball, where he set up his own backdrop and lighting allowing dancers to have photos taken in their finery. When the chance came, he melted into the background to take some wonderful 'Action Shots' of people dancing and enjoying themselves. All of the shots captured are wonderful, and I have had excellent feedback from the many dancers that ordered their photos. I was surprised of the sheer quality and time Darryl had obviously taken to provide such amazing photo memories. When at work, he seems to have the ability to simply disappear, allowing the most natural shots possible, which is a great attribute to have as a Wedding Photographer. I also booked him for an Animal Photoshoot session, where he visited the family home, and took LOTS of pictures of all the fluffy critters, including 2 horses, very lively Boxer Puppy, a tortoise and a Citroen 2CV. This was meant to be for a calendar (which turned out stunning!), but I took the chance to order 2 large framed prints of my Mum's puppy and my Dad's 2CV, his pride and joy. When they arrived, I must admit I had a little cry at just how gorgeous they were. They were received as Christmas presents, with my Mum in astounded tears (Daughter Brownie Points). They are now hanging in pride of place, and we are in the process of ordering more from the online album Darryl created for us. As you can see, I cannot recommend Darryl highly enough, for ANY kind of photography work. Thank you.

Considering it was a small venue he managed to create a really diverse range of shots. Finding a photographer for your special day is one of the most stressful things to check off your list. We found that the list of what you want from a photographer grows the more you think about it. Do you really just want someone who can come, take good shots and leave? No, you need someone who can interact with all guests; someone who can pull everyone in line, so the photos are not taking hours; someone who can capture the day and not just take the usual shots; and most importantly someone who understands YOU and YOUR needs and doesn’t charge the earth. We got all of this and more from Darryl. As a bride, I wasn’t too keen on the thought of all these pictures being taken and knew that I would feel uncomfortable on my wedding day with all the poses, the smiles and the photographer. My worry was I would have the same hideous smile on all the pictures. However, this was definitely not the case! Darryl listened to what we wanted, and hit the nail on the head on the day! He managed our big wedding party extremely well. Every single guest at our wedding said what a great photographer he was and this was all due to his interaction on the day. He had us all laughing when doing the posing shots so no-one felt uncomfortable and then went about his own way, taking some beautiful shots without anyone knowing. Our wedding photographs were amazing! He captured the whole day perfectly. Everyone was relaxed, smiling and having fun. When we saw the pictures, they were everything we wanted. So much so that we had trouble picking the pictures for our album, we loved them all. When we did finally pick and receive our album, it was beautiful! We simply cannot put into words how much we thank Darryl for creating such a perfect array of photographs and the perfect album. He listened to what we wanted and delivered exactly that. If you are reading this and are in two minds about your photographer my advice would be, pick someone who can interact, take beautiful pictures and capture your special day. So many wedding photos can be the same traditional style and the same traditional look, go for what your day represents. Your day represents love, family, friends and happiness; the man to capture that is most definitely Darryl. If you feel uncomfortable and feel you are not quite as photogenic as you would like, Darryl is the guy for you. With the pre-wedding shoot he gets to know you, and sees what he has to work with, and let me tell you, you will love the outcome of those too! Trust us; you will not be disappointed by Darryl Brooks Photography, his talent, his interaction and his professionalism.
