I have just attended Justin’s Long Exposure Workshop on the Suffolk / Essex coast as part of a small group. Justin has a relaxed and informal style whilst being very informative and attentive. He gave clear explanation of techniques and greatly expanded my understanding of the use and effects of filters. As a result, my knowledge, and my confidence, are greatly improved, helped by seeing immediate results. A word of thanks also go to the others in the group who were very friendly and great company. All in all a most satisfying day’s photography. I can thoroughly recommend attending one of Justin’s workshops.

Had a fantastic 1-1 landscape photography workshop with Justin in Essex. Justin is a great guy and pro landscape photographer! He's allowed me to really focus on my composition and helped me to think outside the box. If you want to take your landscape photography to the next level, book in on one of Justin's workshops to learn the skills and techniques you NEED. Don't have any more wasted trips to locations walking away with "average" photos because I've done this for years. I learned more in 6 hours than in the last 2 years! Looking forward to getting booked in for another 1-1 soon.

Having been on several Group workshops with Justin, I would highly recommend attending one if you are seeking to take your Landscape photography and processing skills to the next level. Justin has a very relaxed, friendly, informative style, helping you to get the best from any location, conditions or camera. I attended the 'Constable Country in Winter' workshop with Justin. The workshop was very well planned, the pace was excellent and I have come away with plenty of tips and 'In camera shortcuts'. Justin's long exposure workshop delivered on all counts. I had little experience of this genre and can find all the detail a bit overwhelming so needed some hands on tuition. As part of a small group, I benefitted greatly from Justin's patient teaching style, and the way he tailored the 1:1 time to suit my needs. The fact he had loan equipment that I could try before making an investment was a big bonus. I am definitely looking for a future workshop with Justin to further enhance my learning. UPDATE: So impressed with the previous workshop, I managed to get onto another workshop in March 2021 (I was on a waiting list since the day had been sold-out). Once again, another great learning experience. The day was extended by an hour to take advantage of the sunset timing. Very pleased that my images seem to have improved and I had clearly retained information from last time as I was much more confident with the filters.

Just returned from an enjoyable and productive Suffolk workshop. Justin’s intimate knowledge of locations made shooting sometimes difficult scenes (due to their simplicity) somewhat easier. As with many good tutors, he encouraged, assisted and gave constructive criticism when required, without enforcing his own style. This was my first workshop with Justin, but I doubt it will be my last.

I was on a Workshop with two friends in August (2020) and came away with a good few images. Justin is a very pleasant instructor who quickly understands the level you are at and then helps you in the areas you need. In my case, he helped me on alternative compositions and explaining reasons why you may want to use different vantage points. His local knowledge is excellent which helps with the schedule for teh various locations he wants to take you to. I would definitely recommend a Justin Minns Workshop for any skill level.

An excellent workshop. Justin has a very natural, relaxed teaching style and certainly knows his stuff. He worked with us all, individually and collectively, to help us get the most of the locations and our cameras. The workshop was incredibly well planned throughout and we were taken to some great locations. The group bonded very well and I plan to meet up again with one or two again in the future. Enjoyed a fantastic landscape photography workshop with Justin in Hunstanton. We couldn't have asked for a more approachable tutor. Justin is incredibly talented and makes it look easy. I ordered The Photographing East Anglia book by Justin Minns and it arrived super quick! Love the book, amazing photos and in depth info with directions to the viewpoints. I’ve never visited East Anglia before but it’s definitely on my list from now on. I looked at booking some workshops with Justin Minns (I’m an amateur photographer) but they are sold out. This book seems like it will guide me to great locations to photograph.

Had a great 1-2-1 with Justin on Tuesday in Norfolk on the broads and coast. His knowledge of the area and photographic knowledge are both excellent. Like all good teachers he talks to you, not at you. All day he is imparting information and giving relevant tips to improve your photography skills. A really good day with Justin on my first landscape photography session. An early start was rewarded by some great light and locations. Justin is very experienced on the technology but always starts by a focus on the composition and vision of the possibilities of the image and location. A relaxed and pragmatic approach, and very helpful friendly style. All in all a great day and one I intend to re-book in the next few months to take the learning further.

I had a really enjoyable day yesterday at Justin's Secret Suffolk workshop. Justin took us to a couple of locations that I would never had found without his help and provided brilliant tuition along with some new ideas. With such a small group it felt a bit more like a 1:1. I bougth three 121 tutition sessions on Lightroom and Photoshop from Justin. These were spread over about 5 weeks. Justin found out what it was that I wanted to cover. I was ok with LR and a bit of a novice with PS. I learnt a significant amount during these sessions. The speed was just right with Justin tailoring this to what I knew and what was more difficult for me. The format was great. The sessions being on Zoom meant that I could concentrate at the time and then watch the session later as I practicsed. I wanted to add to my earlier review. I have recently been editing some of my photographs and by having the recordings I was able to easiliy remind myself of the tips and techniques that Justin covered. So if you are short of ideas for a last minute Christmas present for people- or indeed yourself- this one will keep on giving. Thank you.
