We contacted Andy last minute, 3 weeks in fact before our wedding in June. Hands down Andy saved our wedding day. Our original Lincoln-based wedding photographer had started to mess us around and make our life incredibly difficult for us. Alarm bells were already ringing once we had signed our original contract, particularly as the relationship immediately changed once we had paid. It was merely transactional. We felt extremely rushed and knowing what we know now, should have gone with Andy in the first instance and not had to deal with any of this unnecessary nonsense. Unfortunately, we were also one of the many unlucky couples throughout the country who had had their 2020 wedding cancelled. Twice in fact, once due to covid-19 and then our wedding venue went bust at Christmas soon after. No surprises which Lincoln landmark that was. At this point it wasn’t funny anymore so to have our original wedding photographer treat us like ‘cash cows’ and with contempt we had just about had enough. All the fun and excitement leading up to the wedding had well and truly disappeared due to their sheer lack of professionalism and self-interest. At this point in time we were on our second wedding venue and third wedding date. We contacted Andy after we had searched his business Facebook page and website and were very impressed with the high-quality award-winning work, pricing and existing customer reviews. Fortunately, Andy was available for our wedding date. This was a no-brainer. Within 24-hours of obtaining all of our money back from the original wedding photographer, we had spoken with Andy and signed a contract. This contract was much easier and user-friendly to read, a stark contrast to our old contract with the former Lincoln-based photographer which looked more like mortgage paperwork with a helping of red tape chucked in too. Soon after signing Andy’s contract we spoke several times over the phone to confirm and finalise our wedding plans, which was very reassuring and set the motion and our motivations ahead of the big day. Within the short space of time not only had we developed a significantly better rapport with Andy, something we had only hoped and dreamed we would have achieved first time round, but felt like we were treated as if it was our special day again – something we had all but forgotten. Don’t get me wrong our other wedding providers throughout the 2.5 years leading up to our actual wedding day including The Lincoln Hotel, Angelic Delights - cake, Lincolnshire Co-op flowers, Utopia Hair, makeup and wedding dress shop were equally brilliant and treated us with respect and made us feel valued, Andy revitalised this through his professionalism and passion for his work and the significance of the occasion right when we needed it the most. Come the wedding day this was the first time we had actually met Andy. What can we say … absolutely brilliant! We gelled immediately. We instantly relaxed and proceeded to enjoy our wedding day. Andy was just fantastic our family and friends both cited during and after the wedding how professional and friendly he was. Hands down the best decision we had made for our wedding. No sooner had the wedding started it finished in the blink of an eye. Our wedding day was fantastic, it couldn’t have gone any better even with the restriction of 30-guests. Andy sent over a few teaser photos on social media soon after the wedding which were superb and then sent us a few additional edited teaser photos in an email a few weeks later which we incorporated in our ‘thank you’ cards for family and friends, which were well received. We recently just received the final digital wedding photo album which were outstanding. We have just ordered photos which are due to arrive soon. Can’t wait to show family and friends these and reminisce about our wedding day and share stories. Overall, Andy was outstanding. Andy is a true professional and comes highly recommended. If you want high quality photography, a good price and a thoroughly decent bloke to capture your wedding day – Andy is your man!

We can not recommend Andy enough! Having a wedding photographer was my biggest worry, Andy invited us to his home for an initial consultation and we where instantly drawn in by his enthusiasm and passion for what he does! During our engagement shoot he made us feel completely at ease and we could just act natural. When we received our engagement shoot photos back and We where completely blown away and knew Andy was the photographer was for us! On the day Andy just blended into the back ground for most of the day obviously apart from the intimate/group photos. We have had some teaser photos and they are amazing, we can’t wait for the rest! We have had so many compliments about Andy and one of our friends have even booked him for their own wedding. X

Andrew wheeler is a lovely man and a very gifted photographer. The idea of having a trial shoot or engagement shots is a very good one, he was able to give us handy hints on how to stand etc for the best results and set us at ease as we both were uncomfortable in front of a camera. On the day he was unobtrusive and really captured the feel of the day. With great energy he was able to create great group shots under pressure of time constraints. I am totally blown away by the images of myself and my wife, they are stunning, the colours are amazing, the compositions are very clever. My wife never thought she would be in a photograph so beautiful. Friends and family were not only talking about the wedding but also how amazing our wedding photos are. Money spent with AW Photography is money well spent, I can't thank Andrew enough.

I would thoroughly recommend Andrew as a wedding photographer. Andrew took the most fantastic wedding photos we could have asked for. He was on the day very professional and creative/artistic. This shows in the final results with everyone who has seen the photos would attest to. On the day he was very unobtrusive and nothing was too much trouble. Indeed again all the guests commented on how good he was at keeping in the background and making the obligatory group photos fun. The pre wedding photo shoot with our kids was a great afternoon around Lincoln Cathedral, it got us to know him and him us, got the kids used to having the photos etc. Again brilliant photos which really assured us about the phots of the big day. The only downside we had and continue to have is a lack of communication and fob offs. Let me explain. Overall Andrew has a gift for photography that is evident in his excellent work and style. Having seen him in action and viewed some of his shots from their day we decided to meet with him to discuss our big day. One of the first things that struck us about Andy was his genuine passion for not only what he does, but also for our wedding day. From that first meeting to the day itself Andy could not have done more to put us at ease and ensure our special day was captured.
