I have never met anyone so positive, enthusiastic, and passionate like Matt. I truly see his passion. My partner and I wanted to take engagement pictures but we were lost and did not know where to begin. After many days of research, I came across Matt´s website and portfolio. I saw how stunning his pictures were but what made me contact him , is that he understands that many couples feel uncomfortable in front of a camera so he makes a friendly and comfortable environment. We commissioned Matt for our wedding photography in 2018 and he was fantastic from start to finish. With photography being one of the most important elements of the day we wanted to ensure we selected a photographer who understood us and what we wanted to achieve in terms of our wedding photography. We knew we were onto a winner from our initial consultation. Matt's relaxed and personable approach made it easy for us to talk through our ideas while providing us with some inspiration for the style of photography we could achieve for our big day. Communication was excellent in the run up to the wedding. Matt was always responsive on email and he organised a skype call closer to the day to run through the essentials and make sure he had captured everything on our wish list. He proactively worked with our other suppliers both in the lead up to the event and during the day to make sure every detail was perfectly captured. On the big day itself we were completely at ease as Matt was there to capture all the important moments and details without even realising he was there! This was so important for us as we knew we didn't want to be pulled away for staged photos and miss being in the moment. Matt also got along really well with our guests and we got a lot of positive feedback about his interactions with them! Above all else we were absolutely delighted with the results. You spend months (or even years!) building up to the big day and it goes by so quickly. It was so easy to share links to photos through Matt's website and family and friends could order their own prints if they wanted. Matt captured everything perfectly and we have so many brilliant photos to look back on and make us smile. We have no hesitation in recommending Matt for your wedding photography, a truly stellar job - you won't be disappointed!

During lockdown we decided to elope at a local registry office. As we couldn't have a big event we decided to pay for an engagement shoot and for a registry office shoot. Our engagement shoot started at at Katherine's docks and we got some great shots of the dock, tower bridge, the tower of London and St Dunstans in the east. Matt was a fantastic wedding photographer and we would highly recommend him. His style is documentary photography so you will be left with candid, touching, photos of your day, rather than lots of highly stylised and edited photos. For us that was perfect. You still get the mantelpiece shots but you don’t spend half your day posing. We really enjoyed Matt’s working style. He has managed to strike a really unique balance of being incredibly easy going whilst remaining highly efficient. When you’re planning a wedding this is a dream combo. You really want to minimise the number of irritating wedding vendors who constantly hassle you, but you also don’t want to be anxiously chasing someone to check they’re actually going to do what you want them to do. Conversations with Matt felt like talking to a pal, but that meant he could drill down to exactly what you wanted very quickly. He never required any extra input, was as unobtrusive as a ghost on the day, but afterwards returned with this wonderful portfolio of images. Matt is like a warming cup of cocoa in wedding photographer form. Comforting, stress relieving, but always delivers. 10/10 Gent.

We weren’t huge fans of the traditional wedding photos and wanted a more laid back style the capture special moments of our guests that we weren’t able to see. If you are looking for an incredible wedding photographer (specifically documentary style wedding photography), look no further! Matt is not only an amazing wedding photographer but also just an awesome human, all around. Just starting from our very first consultation you can tell that he is just such a thoughtful person who listened to what we were looking for and really does his job with so much passion and precision. He asked us thoughtful questions, he sent a questionnaire to learn more about us and the key people in our families to include in our shots and he was superbly good at communication because he was so consistent and easy to reach. That was all before we even met Matt! Then he came to Mexico and Matt was just like family. It was a super long flight for him because of crazy delays and transfers but he was ready to meet with us with such a positive attitude and excitement to shoot. He blended in with our family and friends and really made a point to hang out with everyone before the wedding, snap some amazing shots and learn the group dynamics. Even my mom embraced him like a long lost family member! I truly hate taking pictures which can be very difficult as a bride but he made us so comfortable and was like pretend I’m not here and be you and so we were able to relax. As a result, he captured so many genuine and sweet moments. The wedding photos he captured for us really helped us relive our wedding because he took pictures of the authentic moments and it was just so incredible to laugh at specific movements and catch things we hadn’t seen! One of our goals for our wedding was for it to feel like a family reunion and for everyone to really be themselves and since Matt was there, in literally every nook and cranny taking incredible shots, we were able to be ourselves!. Everyone who saw the wedding slideshow he made for us LOVED his pictures and many of our guests are thinking of tapping him when they tie the knot! I know this is a lot for a review but Matt deserves it. However, if I were to summarize: Matt’s photography is the antithesis of a selfie - it captures the best moments, the real authentic stuff without interrupting it or having to pose for it. Fantastic photos and a totally unobtrusive style of photography. Matt can do the big staged shots for your Nan's mantelpiece but his best work is the organic moments he captures through the day - many of my favourite shots don't include bride or groom at all, and almost all the guests have at least one picture of them and their friends that they absolutely love. Matt was an absolutely amazing photographer to work with as I planned my proposal! Before choosing Matt, I touched base with several other photographers in London, and Matt was by far the best to work with. I had a rough vision outlined, and Matt was happy to communicate via email, phone, and Skype. He was able to suggest the EXACT locations and we explored them together on Google Street View as we Skyped. He had a vision for how he wanted the photos to come out and he achieved it. He sent us a diagram of where to stand so he can secretly photograph the proposal. He made a plan B just in case weather didn’t cooperate and he video chatted the day prior to make sure all details were ironed out. If you’re looking to hire someone for your special day, Matt is the man and he will certainly make sure it is indeed special!

However, his quick response to our initial email, professional website and skype call service gave us a great impression straight away. Matt is an outstanding photographer and we would highly recommend him. You really feel he has great enthusiasm for what he does and ensures the whole experience reflects this. From the initial contact emails, to the engagement shoot, wedding day and photos, everything is done with great efficiency and he really takes an interest in your day. He also liaised directly with other suppliers and took note of all the details so he would be in the right place at the right time on the day.
