Paola is not only an amazing photographer but also an amazing person to get to know. Before meeting her my wife and I had spend many a long hour researching the right photographer to capture our wedding; we especially wanted someone who would be able to perfectly document the fun, love and laughter. We decided on Paola after meeting her at a wedding show and were blown away by the quality and creativity of her portfolio, also because we felt an instant connection with her. She was genuinely interested in knowing about us as a couple, our vision for the wedding and offered so much helpful advice to ensure the day would be visually special and memorable. Between the initial booking and the day itself Paola was in regular contact with us, always ready to provide guidance and creative suggestions when it was needed. We also, got to spend a few hours with her for our engagement shoot (included in the package) which was great fun. This gave us the chance to get to practice being comfortable and natural in front of the camera and get to know Paola. I can honestly say by the end of that day we felt we had become good friends, which in turn added a very special element to the wedding day. On the day of the wedding Paola and her assistant shooter were faultless. They were able to engage naturally with all our guests and helped to provide a relaxed, fun atmosphere which allowed everyone to be photographed at their most comfortable best. We feel every aspect of the day was documented from the perfect angles, in fact looking a the pictures now we are amazed at how quickly they were able to move around without being noticed!!! Our final pictures are outstanding and we are blown away with the quality and quantity of them. Paola is not only very talented with the camera but also with her editing skills, possessing the ability to add a uniquely creative stylistic twist that we love. Booking Paola was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding and we would happily recommend her services to anyone.

An artist, a professional, a friend. From our first meeting over a year ago, to last weekend when we met Paola to see our wedding photographs, we have been bowled over each and every time by her kind, warm, loving personality and ability to make you feel like lifelong friends. Very few people are able to be completely professional and like best friends at the same time, and Paola does it with ease. With one of us an overly excitable puppy, and the other a photo-phobe (possibly a vampire), Paola certainly had her work cut out. But she, along with her beautiful family and amazing assistant, won our hearts and those of our 150 guests - though, having met with Paola a few times before the big day, we knew she would. There truly aren’t enough words to describe how great working with Paola has been, and it is a big part of the wedding day we will sorely miss not being able to do again. Paola was understanding, patient, creative, and brought everything she had to the table to make sure we got the best possible photography on the day. She delivered 100%, and then some. The photographs Paola has captured on our wedding day are stunning. And this is coming from someone so anti photos of himself he considered wearing a bag over his head! Paola’s photojournalistic style, blended with a few formal portrait photos, have captured every little part of our day for us to enjoy forever. Every time we look at the photos (so far, 4 times in a week!), we are able to relive the day with everyone we love. Paola captured it all. Anyone unsure of having wedding photography - yes, you need it. Take it from a convert. There are a million moments on the day you will miss or forget, and photos bring it all back. And for those not sure who to go with - we hope this review helps you make the best choice. We hired a photographer, but we leave the wedding with so much more. We are honoured to have had a such an artist as Paola capture our day, and we are delighted to now call her a good friend. Shortly after booking our wedding date the next task was to choose our wedding photographer. Once we clicked on Paola’s website and viewed her portfolio we knew we had found the ideal photographer for our wedding! After discussing options on the phone we met with Paola at a wedding fair and it was great to meet in person and look at more of her fantastic work. From our engagement shoot in Borough Market to our London Wedding in September we were beyond happy with the service we received, Paola gave us lots of helpful tips which were gratefully received and we loved the enthusiasm the whole way through. Also a big thanks to Paolo’s Assistant Shooter on the day who followed the grooms party around town, taking some fantastic shots. We met Paola at a wedding fayre and it was the quality and style of the photographs she had as part of her display that caught our eye. After about 30 seconds of speaking to Paola, we knew she was the wedding photographer for us. We arranged to meet shortly after the wedding fayre and the chat we had over coffee really confirmed our first impressions that Paola had to be our wedding photographer. She is such a warm person and has such a passion for her work and for making sure that the whole wedding day is a beautiful, amazing experience. We immediately felt that we had found a friend and we knew that her ethos would be just perfect for our wedding. We arranged to have an engagement shoot with her, which proved really valuable. We didn’t realise how nervous we would be having our photographs taken but Paola made it such fun and the nerves soon went. Having the engagement shoot meant that, by the time the wedding came, we were both relaxed enough to totally forget about the camera and really enjoy the day. The photographs from the engagement shoot were truly beautiful and resulted in an online feature on confetti. We love them! Our wedding was in Italy and Paola helped us so much by liaising with the local providers. She made sure to contact all of the suppliers, the venue representative and our celebrant well in advance to make sure that everything was organised and perfectly co-ordinated. She even took a huge detour from her holiday to go and visit the venue in advance! She really went above and beyond the call of duty for us, it is hugely important to her that you really have the best day possible. Paola brought a second photographer with her to our wedding, who was really friendly and we were as relaxed with her as we were with Paola. On the day, they both did a great job of making sure everything was co-ordinated and that we were as relaxed as we could be. Their advice that morning was really helpful and helped the day go smoothly. We can’t wait to see our wedding photographs and we just know that they will be as beautiful and magical as the day itself was! We feel that Paola was more like a guest and friend at our wedding than a supplier of a service - this is what really sets Paola apart from other photographers. Her personality, passion, flair and skill just make her the perfect wedding photographer and she is so dedicated and meticulous. She really cares about the wedding and that you have the most perfect of days. To anyone considering which photographer to choose, we would say that the people you hire to help you with your wedding are as much a part of your wedding day as your guests. It is really important to make sure you pick the right people to be a part of your day as they can really make all the difference. Paola is an absolute gem! We had the pleasure of having her as our engagement and wedding photographer after finding her business card in a suit shop and it was the best decision we could have made. From the moment we met her and had a flick through her stunning portfolio we knew right there and then that we had to have her as our photographer. Paola DePaola Photography is an impeccable display of joy and active tranquility. The most difficult part for me was choosing among the many beautiful photos that Ms. DePaola's talent has produced. Finally I narrowed it down and purchased 2 photographs from Paola and from the very first time I contacted her I felt we were on the same wave length. She asked specific questions about the size of the prints, the price was fair and the prints arrived promptly. I had expected some good images based on what I had seen on her web site, but the actual results way exceeded my expectations. The two photographs are now hanging in my office and both colleagues and students (I work at college) have stooped to admire, meditate and express their sense of beauty inspired by Paola's work. The photo of a child with the red parasol aiming to reach higher and higher, the serenity of the Italian seaside all combined with an harmony of color and movement. The fairly like quality of the child in the second photo is a pure expression of the love of learning, of making sense of the puzzle of a young life. The pale pink dress and the slightly out of focus edges contribute to a sense of wonder that is fully expressed in Paola's work. I would highly recommend to anyone to purchase and cherish such great work. I hope that Paola will continue to capture more joyful and powerful images, and maybe have the change to have her take my portrait.
