Richard is an extremely unique and talented photographer. He captured our wedding in a way we didn’t even know was possible! Our photos are ones that we will treasure forever, they are incredibly special and we feel so lucky to have had Richard there on our day. The colour photos are out of this world but our black and white film ones are just incredible, still get speechless when I look through them. Not to mention he is a really lovely bloke and he made us feel both at ease throughout the whole day (especially this nervous bride)! Absolutely loved working with him and we absolutely recommend him to everybody.

Richard is a brilliant photographer, as soon as I saw his black and white film portfolio I knew I wanted him to photograph our wedding and we weren't disappointed. The photos are beautiful and absolutely captured our day and the happiness we were feeling. Having both the black and white film and digital colour images means were have a very special and unique record of our wedding day. Every stage of the way dealing with Richard has been easy, professional and stress free. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Richard to other couples. Thank you so much Richard.

I met Richard at a wedding show last year. I was immediately drawn to his stand because of his amazing black and white photography but also his relaxed and casual style. I am so pleased we booked him for our wedding. To start with, he is the nicest guy and makes you feel really comfortable. We knew we were in safe hands with him! We also knew we could rely on him for lots of candid shots as well as the signature wedding “money shots”. We had a wonderful time in France with Richard there to capture every moment. Unlike other photographers, who shoot all their film on digital cameras, you get the old fashioned black and white film shots with Richard which look incredible and are super special. I’ve just collected our USBs and our black and white negatives which we will need to examine before selecting the ones to be printed. From the contact sheets alone, I’m already blown away! If you want something truly unique and you want a photographer who really knows his stuff, you need to book Richard!

Richard's style of photography was a breath of fresh air. The way he captured our wedding made it feel unique and special. He captured the essence of the day and all the raw emotion. So many wedding photographers we looked at just looked the same - staged, posed, unnatural. He just blended into our day and it felt like he was part of the day. Oh, and his prints are fantastic. Shooting on real film makes things look more natural and real. We would highly recommend him.

Richard was recommended to us by a friend, whose wedding he was soon to shoot, and who had himself learned of Richard through word of mouth from other couples who were impressed by his truly unique approach to wedding photography. Upon meeting him, I was instantly struck by how passionate Richard was about producing the shots that he does - which is the real, human interaction and emotion that happens at weddings, and some (way) cooler than your average shots of the bride and groom - and how refreshingly unpretentious he was. I was convinced within about 3 seconds that he was the guy for us, but stuck around for the full meeting with him and enjoyed going through his portfolio - partly to enjoy how great the shots were and partly to see how much Richard genuinely loves his craft, especially real black and white prints. On the day, Richard turned up when he said he would, stayed until late (as he said he would) and then, shortly after we returned from honeymoon, handed over shots which were everything we hoped we would get from hiring him.

We got married in August last year in the North East and Richard's photographs are perfect. Richard's style of photography was exactly what we were looking for; natural, unobtrusive and highly professional. Richard really knows his stuff and is very passionate about his work and this is really evident from the pictures, we have had so many comments from guests about how beautifully the pictures captured the day. We would recommend Richard to anyone!

I highly recommend Richard as a wedding photographer. When we were planning our wedding, and visiting various wedding fairs, I was disappointed as to what most wedding photographers were offering. I felt they were all the same- they offered the same packages, all wanted a pre-wedding test photo shoot (something that didn't appeal to my then fiancée and I), and all a similar price and style. I wanted something more original however, so when I saw Richard's stand at the Eltham Palace Wedding Fair, it immediately grabbed my attention.
I love black & white photography, so to be able to have a photographer to take black & white shots on a film camera, and to produce the prints in his dark room was perfect. Of course, you also get digital colour images too, so the best of both worlds. On the day, Richard blended in and we hardly noticed him taking the photos. It was perfect. If you want something a bit different, Richard is a great option.

Richard's photography is more than about beautiful pictures (which they are), but capturing special, personal moments. He was enthusistic about our unconventional setting (with a big top and farm animals) and captured the vibe of the event and our guests perfectly. As people who don't enjoy having their photos taken in everyday life, Richard put us totally at ease.
We would wholeheartedly recommend Richard for your Big Day.

It is a rare quality to find a photographer who shoots in Traditional Black & White Film, in addition to digital. This is by far Richards USP. The images captured from my wedding were incredible. The hand black and white prints, truly are a work of art. He is so passionate and this is captured in his imagery, you get your staged family shots but his style is documentary and his images capture unique moments throughout your special day. Well worth every penny, i love reminiscing through my wonderful images. Highly recommend 5***** xxx

Just the best photographer there is! We couldn't be more thrilled with our beautiful photographs, I burst into tears when I saw them! Every aspect of the job he did was perfect. Before the wedding he really put as at ease. During the day, he somehow managed to capture all of the special moments, without having to direct or stage shots. We got to spend the whole day enjoying ourselves with friends and family, rather than spending a few hours of the day posing for photographs, yet we have a collection of perfect photographs which capture the day and the people we love perfectly. We could not be happier and would wholeheartedly recommend Richard.

I first met Richard at the Condé Nast wedding show in London. In the swamp of what I call ‘Ikea photographers’ ( photographers that just take 1,000s of digital prints and then put them on a cheap bits of canvas for £££) His photography caught my eye instantly for its artistic technique and glossy black and white prints. Richard picked up on our interest in his work and we got chatting. I really admired his strong work ethic and found him to be very knowledgeable on his skill. He develops all his photographs by hand in a dark room and touches them up himself and offers you the actual film not a rubbish usb stick.
He is really just a breath of fresh air in this increasing market of common wedding photographers that think just because they have a digital camera that’s ok.
I think it’s so important to have photos that not only show beautiful emotion but are also presented as a Work of art that Is totally different from the ‘usual wedding’ format and has real talent to it.
He’s also a lovely person to chat to on the phone and always made time for all my enquiries.
