Rodney is a photographer like no other. Rodney is charismatic, patient and the best photographer to shoot with. From guiding me through poses I hadn’t thought about before, introducing ideas when styling outfits and having the best energy throughout.. I would recommend him to any women from 0 to 100 + years old with experience in front of the camera but also to anyone that has no experience at all. My experience shooting with him was amazing! I don't know even how to start. Rodney is someone special, not only by his amazing work (but I have to add - he is a master and what he can do is just insane) but just the way he is. Wow I have so much to say about my experience with Rodney. As a professional makeup artist I have worked with many photographers but non quite like him. He's very professional and I loved his approach from start to finish. I am not the one to be in front of the camera however after recently having 2 baby's and being in lock down I felt it was time to do something for myself. When I arrived at the studio, I was greeted with a warm smile and felt welcome and comfortable from the very first minute. Rodney absolutely exudes good energy and his bubbly personality is infectious. I smiled all day! I think a lot of the time, we all wish that we looked like someone else, but Rodney made me feel fantastic, just for being me. I completely trusted his direction and I have no doubt, that he could make anyone feel like a super model and the most powerful version of themselves. Reviewing the final images, was like seeing yourself through someone else’s eyes. It is so easy to be overly critical of yourself and pick apart every aspect of yourself, but I loved Rodney’s photos so much, it was almost impossible to choose favourites. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Rodney. Shooting with Rodney is more than just a photo experience, he is a highly skilled creative and authentic soul, who lights up the studio and it was a pleasure to meet him.

What to say about my experience with Rodney Pedroza! As soon as I arrived at Rodney's studio I was greeted with the warmest smile and biggest hug. This immediately put me at ease as I was very nervous on my drive to the studio. Rodney wanted to know about me, first and foremost before taking any pictures. This gave him an insight as to how I feel about myself and what expectations I had for the photoshoot. Rodney did not disappoint! He gives such great direction which are evident in the photos. Even now, a few weeks later I am amazed at his talent. Rodney has a natural way of not just capturing your outta beauty but most importantly your inner beauty. It was such a wonderful experience that if I feel a little low, I immediately go to the feelings that I had at my photoshop and this helps my shift back on track! Where do I start? Rodney is one of the most amazing photographers I've ever worked with. He is so professional and his direction is fantastic. He knows the best angles and is so precise. His vibes are so positive and he's so fantastic and friendly to shoot with. Through my shoot with him I learnt to love my smile. I've never been comfatable with my own smile in photos and avoid smiling in them wherever possible. I just have never liked my smile but when I saw the photos all I photos I picked and liked were all of me smiling. What a total surprise. I was totally wowed. Life changing photography day . From the start where Rodney sends you a guide on how to prepare for your photo shoot to the reveal of the pictures when they are ready. I truly believe that every woman should experience a photoshoot with Rodney, I would highly recommend and here’s why: I found Rodney on Instagram and I loved his style, when I saw his photos I just thought “wow, I need images like this for myself”. I got into contact with him and we planned a photoshoot, he then sent me an email with all details about what I need to do, what to expect and directions to the studio. When I first arrived at Rodney’s studio I was so nervous because we had not met before and wearing facemasks all day had given me really bad spots on my face and I was worried that this would ruin the images, I did not feel very confident at all. When I arrived, he was so kind and welcoming, he instantly put me at ease. I had never done any modelling before; Rodney talked me through everything. After two minutes I felt completely relaxed, he was so reassuring, he explained that If he asks me to do something and I can’t manage or don’t feel comfortable that is not a problem at all. It was so refreshing to meet someone with such great energy who was enthusiastic and professional. The shoot went really well, I feel that Rodney and I worked together throughout the whole shoot and I had a really good time - he is so much fun. When I saw the images, oh my, I cannot even put into words how amazing they looked. It was like seeing myself through the eyes of someone who loves every part of me. I did not ever believe that I could look so beautiful. Rodney captured my most perfect angles; I feel like a new person. I am so unbelievably happy with the final result; I feel so confident in myself I can’t stop smiling. I wish I could afford to buy them all. Well.. what can I say... when I turned up at the studio I had nerves!! As soon as rodney opened the door and said hello half my nerves disappeared! Where do I even possibly begin? I saw Rodney's portfolio and knew there was something... There was just something unique and alluring about his work that I was hugely drawn to, I couldn't put my finger on what it was initially however, I would look at his work frequently and often before I made contact. The first thing I will always remember about Rodney is how he made me think. One of the first things he said to me is that he told me I love your accent, to which I responded no I hate it. As an actor, we can usually hide behind other masks. I've never been confident with my own accent, for years I have tried to articulate my speech in hope that people will understand what I'm saying. Rodney asked me why when it is apart of me and I should not only love and embrace it but be proud of it because it makes me me, it is unique to me and only me. Through our conversation, he enabled me reach the route cause of my lack in confidence within my accent, which then opened up a whole can of worms to dissect and lack-in confidence issues within myself. He gave me an exercise to do, which was to record myself everyday (vocally) for the next month, just talking about anything and everything. I did this task, every day and I just kept a vocal daily diary for myself, which subconsciously gave me structure, clarity, motivation (and has enhanced my memory and co-ordination skills). I now run and manage my own YouTube channel, talking with my own accent, which is a HUGE milestone. I thought I was just heading to a photoshoot- but I wasn't. This was something much more deeper than that, more revolutionary in terms of loving and accepting oneself fully! This session was easily and arguably the most comfortable time in my life when I just completely let go of anything that once held me back, and I felt good to genuinely smile with beams of energy and happiness! I feel genuine self improvement- (And seriously, the results are in the images, you can feel all of this bursting through in the images Rodney has so beautifully captured). Rodney isn't just a "Photographer" he is not just a "mentor" he is not just "wise" or "talented," nor someone I consider a phenomenal friend who knows exactly what he's talking about. He is a powerful combination of all of those, who has helped me MASSIVELY through a dark time in my life, who has helped me to see certain things in life for what they are and truly love and accept myself (and to be content with that-more importantly). He's shown me the beauty and balance of prioritizing myself and my career, helping me to positively instil that "this is where I am, not where I am destined to be, or going." I spent the longest time trying to pick images because they are all absolutely enduring, and effortlessly stunning. It's easy to walk into a basic photography session but Rodney works on a completely different level that's truly incomparable. Thank you SO much, beyond words Rodney, I'm so grateful that the universe brought you into my life when it did, because my life has changed dramatically since our session and image selection skype. I feel empowered on a whole new level. To capture and instil selflove is a gift that not everyone so naturally has. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
