A complete joy to work with Steve, he was professional, responsive and easy to work with. Despite being an outdoors shoot in freezing January times, Steve made me feel at ease and he knows how to bring out the best in people. Had an excellent time. Steve is very professional and it helps he is great company also as being relaxed when getting head shots done makes all the difference. He got down to work and there was no time wasted, which I appreciate. I got a contact sheet of around 40 shots a few days after the shoot. My agent saw at least six he liked and I saw the same with a different 6, the standard was high throughout all which I was pleasantly surprised with. Got a final four that I picked (had the option of black and white or colour) all of which are now adorn spotlight page. Steven seems to know exactly whats required for these shots.

Steve Lawton is one of the best actor headshot photographers I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. For someone like me who is quite shy having his photos taken, Steve made me feel very relaxed and comfortable, resulting in me actually enjoying my headshot session. I was able to split my headshot sessions into two; one where I had a beard and one where I was clean shaven. Both sessions went great! He gave me some great advice on how to look in my photos as well as helping to achieve into what I personally wanted. The end result was fantastic. All of my photos looked amazing which gave me the difficult choice into choosing which ones I wanted to be retouched. I ended up choosing eight headshots instead of the required four. On a side note, as soon as I posted my headshots onto Spotlight, within a week I received an audition for a professional short film. I highly recommend Steve Lawton. Any photographer can snap a headshot with a little background blur that looks halfway decent. Steve, however, will gently tease your "essence" into the shot the way only a pro can. It's a subtle difference that carries substantial weight. Yeah, he costs a few extra quid, but in today's digitized world, second-rate photos for one's "personal brand" just aren't an option. Very pleased with my headshots.
