Staff seemed to be very knowledgeable, but the young lad seemed to be a little short with us at times. My partner had a couple of questions about flash devices only to leave the store with more questions because we felt like we were being rushed out of the store. (Must of been lunch time) We did however purchase a second hand flash device but with no instructions or how to even use it.

I found these guy's on the web. I don't live near by, so order my goods through mail order. It's a super fast delivery service and good communication, and the staff are very pleasant and go out of their way to help. Highly recommended.

Great little shop, went in for a camera bag, they let me pretty much fill the floor with bags and my kit while I tried them all out to see what fitted best, they were up and down the stairs fetching the second hand stock they had just in case it would fit things better even though it would have lost them a lot in sales revenue. Ended up buying a great new bag so well worth the trip. I'm not the most clued up so can't comment on the quality or range of their stock, all I can say is they were friendly, accomodating and helpful, what more can you ask for?!

A lovely ‘proper’ camera shop located on the Wellingborough road with plenty of parking in the area. There is a big range of new and used camera equipment both digital and film. Skears offer full repair and service on all camera gear and can also offer a film development service. The knowledge of the staff is excellent and shows the passion for photography. Well worth a regular visit if only to see the latest in used equipment as it constantly changes. Skears also has a very good website if you cannot get to the store.

Great service as always from Skears. I dropped my camera and needed it to photograph a wedding at the weekend. Went to the shop desperate to get it fixed in time. Had the camera back in full working order 24 hours later. Highly recommended. Great shop and staff.

A cozy independent photography store selling a wide range of products and services. Despite the size of the store, it is packed with an excellent selection of goods both second hand and new, without being crowded and claustrophobic. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable with a keenness to help however they can. Any questions will be answered honestly and without bias. A highly recommended store to visit!

How delightful to find a traditional photographic shop - it's all on-line now. At Skears I found a shop with staff that would allow me to handle a prospective purchase (lens), to have patiently described to me the pros and cons of the various options. I felt that I was talking to staff who were technically competent and knowledgeable to answer my questions rather than someone on the phone looking at a computer screen. I will return for my next purchase.

A useful proper photographic shop. Interesting looking selection of cameras and lenses. Stocks a range of films including Polaroid 600 cassettes. Processing chemicals and processing service. Evidently service cameras as well not that I've experienced this but this was what another customer was having done

I recently discovered this business. What an eye opener. What seems to be a smallish shop, has massive stock, and the staff all have larger hearts, than that. Every one an enthusiast. I bought the new Pentax K3, an electronic remote, and 2 cracking lenses. I was even given, an unasked for discount, on the total price ! I received 2 years warranty too, and a voucher for a FREE SLR sensor clean worth just under £30 ! If you wish to be treated well, by knowledgeable staff, and get what you want at the right price, then you are at SKEARS ! 10/10 on all fronts.

I moved here 3 years ago but when i changed my camera last year i as always chose Skears, yes i could have saved £500 on the net but when you're in trouble you ring the man and he says "i only sell them mate, know nothing about them."
