Chris is incredible at his craft. He's an exceptional photographer and a brilliant teacher. His workshops are all so different, so it's worth going to them all if you can, you'll always learn something new and come away with something different. The models he books are so professional and versatile. Chris will always ensure they are looked after and respected and there's always a fun, friendly and safe atmosphere at his studio. His lighting set ups are flawless, he can create so many amazing set ups in the studio and elsewhere. I was particularly nervous when using the studio equipment (knowing how expensive it all is) and had to ask Chris to tell me how to do simple things over and over again but he didn't lose his patience with me (thanks Chris). No matter what your skill level is, he can help. He is passionate about his work and always delivers service of the highest standard as a photographer and when teaching others in his workshops. His studio has evolved over the years as he's often adding new features. I highly recommend Chris, the studio, his workshops - any service he's offering!

It has always been amazing, joining a workshop or event in person or a remote Shoot with Chris at the studio. He always make sure you are getting the best experience and get some great images. As a family we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable at the studio. Nothing was too much trouble. The environment was clean and equipped with the necessities needed. We felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. Chris even asked our children what music they liked to listen to and had it played throughout our photo shoot. I've used Trident studios on several occasions and always found the proprietors, Chris and Amie, delightful to deal with. Both were more than happy to help and answer any questions. The studio itself is thoughtfully laid out with a very spacious changing room. It has more than enough equipment such as backdrops, lights and various modifiers to meet the demands of any photographer. I believe it's the best appointed studio in the South West.

I have used this studio on many occasions as both a model and photographer and in my eyes, there is nothing comparable to it locally. As a model, the changing room is on another level with ample of space and so warm in the winter months (A huge perk) The shooting areas are well prepped with plenty of props, backdrops and everything you need. I have worked with Chris at Studio Hire Plymouth many times via their Remote Photography sessions. Some of these have been themed and a couple have been 1:1 with Chris and Amie-Jayne. The sessions have always been super productive and when I have asked for specific set ups for the 1:1 sessions, they have been accommodated 100% and always to a really high quality. The studio has one of the best range of lighting, lighting accessories, props and add ons that you could ever need and Chris is a master when it comes to setting up / assisting with the lighting. My goal in 2023 is to get there in person but if you want a studio that is top notch and you are in that area, don't hesitate to book with Chris and Amie.

A beautiful and well equipped space with potential for a whole range of creativity. As well as Chris having excellent communications and being an accommodating host , (especially during a heatwave!) The whole experience modelling for a studio day here was professional, productive and enjoyable!

Fantastic experience all-round. I have learnt so much from those on hand and those who join the scheduled events, gaining knowledge of lighting/ camera settings and photo shoots, to confidence in every aspect, including direction of models. I’ve enjoyed every event, whether booking the studio myself, or attending the many events throughout the year. The models booked, never disappoint, Chris always goes that extra mile to find a variety of well known models and each event is full of fun and friendly likeminded people. The equipment and venue are second to none, intimate for an individual photo shoot and large enough for a 9piece band. I can thoroughly recommend Studio Hire Plymouth.

I have used studio hire Plymouth on a number of occasions from one to one shoots having been out of a studio for a while, and on group shoots with six other photographers the studio is well equipped with all you need to take outstanding images with Chris on hand to help out if needed, I can not recommend Chris and his studio highly enough. I do prefer to shoot in person but living in the North of England it is a bit far to travel to Trident but I have found that the remote shoots offered by them are excellent value for money. Themed, styled and well organised, I have taken part in a few over the last year or so and enjoyed them all. Always a pleasure to meet up with Chris and Amie even if it is remotely. Who knows, I may even get to the studio in person one day!

Fantastically equipped studio, one of if not the best in the South West. I have rented this studio in the past and attended many Portfolio Builder events hosted by Chris and can highly rate and speak from experience when I say this studio can cater for all needs from amateur to professional.

Great studio, filled with everything you could ever think of regarding equipment. Run buy super helpful and experienced people. I would highly recommend using it for all your photography and videography needs.
