Great service although it took 3 months turnaround for lens service it was during 2nd covid wave so i understand.... Im knocking off a star because its very expensive here.... skills cost money i appreciate that but stoke labour should be cheaper than sending it to London.... no offence to stokies!!

I sent my Nikon d5300 to Lehmann's and used their insured pickup and delivery service. The communication I got from them was second to none and I felt reassured my camera was in good hands. I was updated that my camera required a replacement part to fully refurbish the viewfinder (which I knew and was expecting that diagnoses) there was a week or two wait for the part from Nikon (not unheard of) and as soon as they had it they fitted it and phoned me to tell me it was on its way back. On receipt of the camera it was fully serviced and the viewfinder was free of dust and blemishes and no visible signs of substandard workmanship. Overall I can't fault their service and had a very pleasant experience using Lehman. I would recommend the service from my experience. Good job guys.

Overall very good. Sent my camera for repair they quoted provisionally £90 but came back at £230 when they actually got the camera which is fair, as Canon direct were quoting a similar amount. They did the repair, got it back nearly perfect but had a small issue which they kindly repaired again. Got the camera back today and all good. I have used them before many years ago and still professional. Would recommend.

Very impressed with the service we received at Lehmann...we took our Nikon camera and lens to be repaired. The advice and technical support was excellent. I was so impressed with the service provided by Lehmanns. I left my camera with them and within a couple of days they had e-mailed me to say that they had checked my camera and that they had reset the settings which had probably been altered by my three year old granddaughter. There were no faults and therefore there was no charge. They could have just as easily charged me £50/£80. How honest is that? I told them they definitely deserved a good google review. So here it is. I would highly recommend them for their honesty and speedy service.

Absolutely terrific service! put my DSLR and Sigma 150-600 'C' in for calibration they quoted me a turnaround currently of a week to 10 days - its done and back for collection in just 2! I'm amazed at the level of service and would highly recommend this shop. Credit where its due and well deserved.

I was recently gifted a Canon 24-105mm L series lens. It had developed a slight focusing issue & was no longer used. I contacted Canon for a repair estimate & was recommended H Lehmann as official Canon repairers. I think the whole process from first email to return of lens was approximately 2 weeks. Very happy with the quality of the work. My lens is now working a treat & it cost me a fraction of the cost of a new one. I would heartily recommend H Lehmann to anyone thinking of sending their equipment for repair/service.

Went to H Lehman with a problem with my Canon 6D's viewfinder and the focusing screen, the kind gent who served me took my camera for inspection and came back with it within 5 minutes and had the problem solved to my amazement. The service I got there was top class and the staff were all very polite, the gent wouldn't even take any money for fixing my camera, so I bought an accessory - or I'd feel bad! (Needed the accessory anyway.) I have to say that I don't agree with the reviewers who have had a bad experience with emails or problems getting in contact via telephone, they're quite a small business but are very very busy so it's to be expected that the phone line is busy - I had to try a few times before someone answered, but I'd rather be going somewhere busy as it shows they're good! A separate email inquiry regarding servicing was replied to within 24hours, can't fault that at all.

About 5 months ago I needed to have my Canon camera repaired. As my warranty had expired a week earlier and the company I had purchased the camera from had been most unhelpful I contacted H Lehmann who sent the camera back to Canon and it was fixed and returned to my home at no charge. Cannot rate highly enough - sent my 5DIII for repair of a faulty card reader, and was met with helpful staff, a very fair quote that was sent quickly, and a decent turnaround time. A breath of fresh air compared to a couple of other repair centres I've used in the past - I'd strongly urge you to consider them if you're in need!

Today I had a fantastic customer experience at H. Lehmann Ltd. in Stoke on Trent. I have used them about 5 or 6 times for repairs and sensor cleaning and always found them excellent but today was above and beyond. I contacted them last week about my flash gun and camera not working well together and decided I would drop them off today on my drive from Carlisle to Northampton with them repairing and sending them via the post whenever fixed. I arrived, showed the problem, took a seat for 10 minutes and was amazed when the man came back with the problem fixed. It turned out to be a loose hotshoe on the camera and he had taken it off and then fixed it back in place and tested it. So I could take the camera with me. I'm very Happy :)

I have dealt with H.Lehmann for over 20 years whilst working for Francis photographic, Carmarthen Camera Centre and my own business RS Photographic and have always found them fair, cost effective and honest. The turn around on repairs has been swift and can only say that when I see negative reviews that it must be from competitors. Keep up the great work guys and girls.

Visited with a friend who had dropped off a lens for repair. The shop itself is quite small and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The repair didn't go as planned and it looked like some paperwork and miscommunication had occurred but Lehmanns rose to the occasion and sorted the problem straight away. The lens is as good as new. The shop is a Canon authorised repair centre.

I feel very lucky to live within an hour of Lehmann Ltd. My D5 MkII had been unreliable with a flash gun for a while and had now refused to recognise either of my flashes. Staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly, camera was taken straight into the workshops and the problem diagnosed within 15 minutes. Very reasonable quote given on the spot and repair completed within a week on by the promised date. Can't recommend them too highly.

Great customer service – thank you. I took my Canon G12 to Lehmann’s in Stoke-on-Trent to have its lens replaced. When I first enquired, the camera had a small scratch on the lens but was otherwise working perfectly. By the time I took it to the shop the lens had jammed, but that would be resolved by the lens replacement. The camera was quickly returned with the lens replaced and having been cleaned and serviced. However, a few weeks later it began to misbehave: while taking photos at a wedding the control buttons ceased to function, and then the bride turned green (luckily only in my photos). Since the repair carried a warranty I took the camera back to Lehmann’s and it was returned having been checked and cleaned and the optical unit replaced, free of charge. Unfortunately that wasn’t the end of the story. The problems with the control buttons returned. It was one of those horrible intermittent faults. The camera would begin a day working fine, but after being handled for a while the controls would cease working. It seemed to be caused by body heat or movement, but if I put the camera down for a couple of days it would work fine again. It was very frustrating, but after a couple more visits to Lehmann’s during which the rear cover assembly was replaced (again free of charge), it all works fine. So, although the original repair seemed to trigger (I assume) problems with electrical contacts, they persevered within the 6 month warranty until everything is again working fine. They took responsibility for the camera no longer working and resolved problems at their own expense. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Not sure what the comment about the phones is about...they are a busy company,which is a GOOD thing isn't it? Spent three days trying to take apart a section of a binocular eyepiece. I finally gave up before damaging the item further, I decided to search for a local camera/binocular dealer and discovered H.Lehmann in Stoke. Quick and very polite service at the counter , the item was taken upstairs to a technician who separated the parts as required for just £1!!! Why did I spend 3 days - leave it to the experts at H. Lehmann ! Very many thanks to all the helpful and polite staff at H. Lehmann! John
