From initial meeting to receiving our photos Martin was a pleasure to work with.! My wife and I loved his work, especially the natural photos of a wedding he was able to capture. Due to covid we had to have our wedding plan meeting via zoom, nevertheless we had a great hour of discussing our requests for the day and getting to know each other, a good relationship was made and we we’re looking forward to meeting in person on the day. Martin was with us from early morning until well into the night, his ability to blend into the background for the natural shots but still take control of any situation when needed was great. His attention to detail was fantastic and we instantly had the confidence in him to let him do what he does best. Martin whisked is away just before evening guests arrived to a secret location, the photos we had from that half hour shoot will be on our walls forever. We were so happy we had Martin for our wedding day and we can’t recommend him enough.!

We knew as soon as we started talking to Martin that he was the photographer for us - loves surfing, the natural beauty of the Gower and taking candid photographs. Not only did Martin take fabulous photographs which captured every emotion and memory of an amazing day. I can't speak highly enough of Martin, he was our wedding photographer and he was amazing. We had to rearrange our wedding due to covid and Martin couldn't have made the process of changing date any easier. We had a meeting before the wedding and Martin was friendly and professional and very helpful with our awkward family dynamics. On the day, Martin introduced himself but quickly stepped into the background which made the whole experience very comfortable (as I feel quite awkward when someone is taking photos of me, but I didn't realise Martin was there a lot of the time). He helped with the flow of the day, organised where people needed to be and helped with the safety with the sparklers. He took us away from the venue to have photos, and despite it being a very windy day, Martin made sure we had the right shots but also made sure we weren't standing around for hours in the cold. Nothing was too much trouble! Martin was at our wedding for about 12/13 hours and he did not stop. We've had so many guests come to us since to express how fantastic Martin was as a photographer, how he must have taken so many photos, how hard he worked and how friendly and professional he was. Thank you Martin for making our day so magical, the memories will be with us for a lifetime! I cannot recommend Martin enough, he is brilliant!

Martin’s photos are simply stunning! We had him do some photos for us at an event just before lockdown, and we’ve spent the whole of lockdown looking at his incredible pictures and remembering what an amazing evening we all had! I work in the events industry and I can honestly say Martin is in a class of his own! Not only does he have unrivalled taste, but he also really knows how to capture moments and how to create the perfect contrast between light and dark. Not a single shot was a bad angle and the colour reproduction was simply stunning. He also made a really lovely book of photos of the event, much better quality than I’ve seen from other photographers. My fiancé and I are very much hoping he’ll be available for our wedding in 2023! ;) You don’t need to look any further, if you want photos that go 1 step further and truly capture your event/wedding, Martin at My Big Day is the photographer you’re looking for!

The biggest thank you to Martin who beautifully captured our wedding in June from start to finish. He arrived early in the morning and stayed late into the night. He is very professional, friendly and passionate. He helped organise the whole day. All our guests commented how amazing he was and how he blended in and they hardly knew he was taking photos. Martin captured so many natural, special and funny moments that we will treasure forever. The sunset photos are breathtaking and we can see why you were so chuffed! Neither of us are particularly fond of being at the centre of a spotlight, or of having our photos taken, so finding Martin was a stroke of luck! Not only are the photos we received beautiful, but he made us feel relaxed and comfortable, and seemed to always be in the right place at the right time! Hiring Martin as our wedding photographer was the best decision my husband and I made for our big day, other than finding and marrying each other. He was amazing from start to finish. Meeting up to discuss our wants before the wedding, scoping out the venue and seeing the type of couple we were to determine what photos we would like. On the day he was faultless to a t. He helped calm me down, produced amazing shots (who knew pillows were essential to a good bridal shot), brought a few in jokes into the shots and stayed way beyond what we were expecting. Martin was my wedding photographer in 2016 and I was absolutely blown away by him, his presence on the day was a godsend, he was so articulate, helpful and polite, he was like an extra bridesmaid, taking care of little things here and there and running around in the background making sure the day ran smoothly! I cried my eyes out the day I received my photos and it look me weeks to finalise the ones for my album and we were able to keep ALL the photos on a digital album too! We can't recommend Martin enough. From the moment we enquired if he was available, to the consultation which lead to us booking him there and then. Martin has been nothing but professional, friendly and extremely talented. On the Big Day Martin was there from the crack of dawn while my beautiful Bride and her bridesmaids were preparing for the day ahead. Making sure things were ticking over at the right times and making the morning run smooth with no hiccups. Martin captured everything, even things that were seemingly unnoticed by everyone else around. Even trekking through some sand dunes to get some location shots before the reception were well thought out and a nice chance to spend some quality time with my wife before the reception and party. I was shocked to see that he was there well into the night. I recall a faint tap on my shoulder at 23:30ish asking if there were anymore photos to be taken. I was flagging at this point myself yet he was eager to make sure our special day was well documented. The photos were fantastic and a healthy array of 400+ photos to choose from trying to edit these down to a collection to put into an album has been somewhat challenging but we got there in the end. Awaiting on the album now which is highly anticipated by all our family and friends.
