Booked in with Amy for a physio review. Have had a knee injury which feels like forever but Amy has me back running again which I didn't think would be possible. Amy is excellent and knows her stuff. She is very encouraging and will get you back to fitness if she can. I always come away confident after each session. Will definitely be back.
The set up here is really good especially the fact you have the gym set up to demo exercises. It makes a difference.

Couldn’t recommend Fixit enough! Around 5 weeks out from my first marathon, I injured my hip and found even walking difficult due to the pain. In my first session, Rebecca was able to assess my injury and explain how I had got there. She provided me with detailed rehab structure and the confidence that I would be running pain free and stay that way. Within 5 sessions, I was able to do just that and completed the marathon pain free! Amazing physios and facilities, 5 star!

Had a physio treatment with Amy W today, which was fantastic, she did an initial comprehensive assessment and was able to pinpoint all the weaknesses and areas i had pain in, without me saying a word. She has eased so much of my muscle tension and i feel a lot better already. Amy also gave me sets of stretches to do at home everyday and to do before my daily gym training sessions. I highly recommend Fixit - Amy has been helping me to recover after major surgery that impacted multiple areas of my body, and over 7 sessions so far my strength has increased, I have much greater control over my movement, and Amy always picks up on little imbalances and corrects me, so that I’m doing the exercises without injuring myself. Honestly, it’s been the best investment post-surgery for me with regards to recovering and getting my strength back again. I’m usually very active and was struggling with not being able to workout properly, but I’m finally feeling like I’m getting back to normal, and a large part of that is thanks to Amy’s careful assessment and training, so thanks!

Fixit physiotherapy is amazing and they have a fantastic setup. I have been working with Amy to help build muscle and general fitness while also working through long running lower back pain. I am currently on my second set of 10 Physio led PT sessions and I will undoubtedly buy many more as I am loving the transformation that is happening! Amy is fantastic and does a great job with explaining and demonstrating the exercises. I was very cautious and apprehensive regarding lifting weights as this was my source of back pain. However, Amy has built my confidence and has instilled proper form and technique, enabling me to progress without pain. She keeps a close watch on every rep, giving reminders / guidance to ensure everything is perfect. Within less than 10 PT sessions, Amy has transformed my outlook of avoiding lifting weights due to fear of injury, to being eager and wanting to challenge myself. Everyone at Fixit Physiotherapy is lovely and I cannot recommend them enough!

Highly recommend Phil at fixit for any sports injury. After injuring myself in the gym I had chronic back pain that I thought I would never get rid of, it left me unable to play sport, or even sit down for long periods of time. This is an amazing place if you have a back or other muscular pains as both my wife and I have been for treatment and Amy has been fantastic as is very thorough in her approach, explains clearly the issues and then the treatment with follow up video exercises on email to help with the healing. This injury had been ongoing for nearly three years, with exhausting all avenues of self rehabilitation myself with constant failure and disappointment. I had totally given up on the thought of ever getting back to a gym and training again. I decided to seek professional help. Glad I did as Amy had put a program in place to help me recover. Which I’m pleased to say worked within a few months, My advice would be not to suffer for so long like I did and just seek the professional help that is some times needed to recover from these types of injury,

After rupturing my ACL playing rugby I came to Fixit to help me through my post-op recovery. From the initial days after surgery to now, almost 4 months later, Rebecca has helped me to gain strength and confidence in my knee and allowed me to consistently progress throughout my recovery with well-tailored, enjoyable sessions and an individualised rehab plan.
Rebecca is highly professional and knowledgeable and, having gone through an ACL injury herself, really understands the recovery process, helping to motivate me throughout. While I won’t be back playing rugby again for another few months, I am excited to continue working with Rebecca and I am confident I’ll be back playing rugby stronger than before!

My Physiotherapist, Amy was able to quickly pin point the cause of my limited range of motion, she helped relieve tension and discomfort in the muscle in the first session and also gave me exercises to start at home, in order to rehabilitate the muscles and joints to help me get back the full range of motion and hopefully back to working out pain free in the future.

After sustaining a knee injury at a bjj competition I went to Phil for rehab and advice on how to strengthen my knees against similar injuries in future.
Phil was great throughout the whole rehab process, laying out a clear plan with a progressive return to training. Phil answered any questions I had, provided videos of my rehab exercises, and most importantly helped my knee recover. My knees and hips feel better than they have in years. Amy is a miracle worker, she is patient accommodating and very encouraging . I came to Amy after injuring myself 5 weeks before the Belfast marathon. I had little hope of completing the race as I was in excruciating pain and found basic task such as climbing the stairs difficult. Amy provided me with useful exercises to help reduce the pain in my leg. Each session was so informative and the facilities are second to none! Amy made the impossible possible as I completed the marathon this weekend, I couldn’t have done it without her help! Highly recommend!

After having bilateral hip arthroscopy surgeries in 2018 & 2019 and then trying many different outdated rehabilitation methods with no success - I contacted Phil in June 2021, as a last ditch effort to get back to high level sport.
Phil was able to help structure a step-by-step progressive plan over a 12 session period. The level of knowledge & ability to work out what movement issues I had, and how I could reintroduce these into my plan was outstanding & by far the best treatment I have received.
I have now been able to return to football with no pain, which I never thought would have been possible prior to booking in to Fixit. Couldn't recommend this practice enough!

I’ve only been with Amy for a couple sessions so far but when I sat for my consultation I felt Amy understood my training lifestyle and how intense it can be. She really listens and cares, as in every session she wants to hear how I am and if I’ve had any pain/issues. After being with a few physios, Amy is the first physio to find the root cause of my pain, which I’ve been suffering with for 2/3 years. Really recommend fixit physio. I have been suffering with hip pain for a number of years. I’m a keen runner but the pain was gradually getting worse over time to the point that I would pull up with sharp pain after only a mile or two. I couldn’t progress and was becoming frustrated because the pain was constant and I was unable to do the thing I enjoyed.
I called fixit physio and made an appointment with Amy. I found Amy to be very friendly and someone who you could have a laugh with. After my initial assessment Amy drew up a rehab program for me. She explained very clearly the steps each week to get me back running pain free. With a combination of deep tissue massaging and strengthening exercises I feel much stronger and confident I will be running again soon. As well as showing me the exercises Amy also emailed videos of the exercises so I couldn’t go wrong. Also after treatment I received a courtesy call later that week to check how I was progressing and if I was having any problems, which I thought was a really nice touch. I’ve been to several physio’s before and have never had a follow up call so it’s was nice to know they generally had an interest in my recovery and progression. Highly recommend this place.

I enrolled in Fixit Physiotherapy and Training a number of months back after damaging my achilles. On research, reviews where very positive and after my first session it was clear it was a very professional and well equipped setup. Rebecca started treating me for an achilles tear which after awhile exacerbated a long term hip issue which seemed to deteriorate while compensating for the achilles.
Rebecca is a very knowledgeable Physiotherapist. Each session starts with a review of progress and assessment, then exercise plan going forward in a private consultation/assessment room. Exercises are well explained by Rebecca and with the use of anatomy videos makes for a good visual understanding, these exercises are preformed and assessed in what is a very well equipped gym area. I was very impressed when I received my exercise plan via email which could be uploaded with all the exercises on video and explanations from Rebecca to preform correctly at home.
I am aware that my injuries will take time to get back to normal but with a very varied exercise plan after each visit I know I am going in the right direction thanks to Rebecca and the Fixit Team.

From the initial assessment where a 10 week plan was created, that provided me with a lot of clarity on what was happening with not just my hip, but my whole movement pattern. Since then, new exercises have been introduced every week which has been challenging but also rewarding to see how quickly progress and change has happened. Rebecca constantly answers questions and provides cues and movement thoughts during in person sessions, which mean I get exactly what I need out of each exercise. I went to fixit at the recommendation of my gym after I experienced a disc injury from weightlifting. At the time, I was in a lot of pain and struggled to carry out some of my day-to-day functions, so I was quite worried about my injury's impact on my quality of life. I was seen by Rebecca for six sessions, and now a few months on I feel completely back to normal! I am back in the gym and I can go about my day completely pain free.

I have recently finished 10 sessions of physiotherapy with James. I initially went to him for help with several issues: regular migraines (happening 2+ times per month), pain and limited mobility in my shoulder, and an old hip injury that kept flaring up. I have had a great experience.
James is really knowledgeable and I feel better today than I have in a very long time. From the first session I felt improvements and am delighted to say that I have only had one migraine since we started working together (near the very beginning of my physio sessions). I can't emphasise enough how major this is.
I also have significantly improved my shoulder mobility and strengthened around my shoulder. My hip has never felt better and I can do things without the fear of injury hanging over me. Also, I have a bank of exercises that I can do if I feel my shoulder/hip starting to bother me again.
I have now transitioned from physio to the group classes, which I really enjoy. Everyone at Fixit is so welcoming and knowledgeable and I love being able to exercise again without worrying that I am going to hurt myself. I have learned so much from the classes and am so happy to start feeling strong again.

I can’t thank Phil enough for getting me back to training out of pain and I the fear of pain, after recurring back problems for years which gradually became worse after training for a marathon, I had come to the point were I thought I’d never run or cycle again, I saw multiple physios, chiropractors etc, and was at a loss, then I came across Fixit physio and thought I’ll give it one more go, 3 months later my recurring pain has subsided, I’ve learnt how to move again without fear, and I’m back to doing all the sports I love, they really are masters at what they do! Have just finished up with Kayleigh for a lower back injury. Kayleigh is very knowledgable and talked me through everything she was doing and why she was doing it. All of the exercises and rehab drills were all shown to me on the gym floor so I knew how to progress them and regress them if needed. First class service. Kayleigh helped me with an old football injury, which caused debilitating back stiffness and pain which worsened over about a year. For a number of months, having tried to solve this via NHS and our club physios and getting nowhere I stumbled upon Kayleigh in Fixit Physiotherapy from a recommendation and it was a god send! After a few months of treatment with Kayleigh, she had completely solved the issues, allowing me to get back to pain free training with improved mobility and no more worries. Can't honestly thank Phil and co enough. For 5 to 6 years I had bounced around various treatments for lower back pain, physio, massage, chiro, TCM and acupuncture, you name it. This is the first time I found someone not just with a proper understanding of what's going on, but also with a clear path as to how we move out of it. Honestly life changing, I am so grateful!!
First few sessions were hands on treatment with simple exercises that then develop with variations as you progress in terms of getting the body comfortable and feeling safe. We also did lots of breath work which is key to what's going on. This led to less hands on, and more movement coaching and analysis of movement, correcting and re-correcting as we go, and addressing issues and technique along the way. This is key - your journey to recovery doesn't move in a straight line, it will have ups and downs and bumps in the road - there is no quick fix!!
Many places give you their attention on the first few sessions then you're left to your own devices - the level of attention Phil gave to each and every session was incredible and it's this attention to detail that makes ALL the difference. This transfers into your own determination to help yourself in the correct, safe way, as ultimately this is what it's all about - him giving you the tools to fix yourself. Something that every other person I went to lacked. You don't go to Phil for him to give you a short term fix (which you will of course experience), you go to Phil because he knows how to teach you how to fix yourself.
My range of movement has hugely increased without the pain that was there before, my body is actually less stressed and panicky as a result. This helps me do my job (drummer). The breathing stuff is part of my everyday life now. I'm motivated to keep up the work knowing I'm getting proper results in a safe way. I now know exactly what I'm doing in the gym, and why I'm doing it, whereas before any attempt in me trying to make myself better often led to further injury!
The communication after sessions is fantastic, with tailored emailed rehab plans and links to videos that help you remember the key points to these exercises.
Honestly - cannot recommend enough!! I progressed into the group classes Fixit have on offer, which are essentially personal training from a physio. All the staff here walk the walk as well as talk the talk!! The knowledge I have gained from these group sessions has been invaluable and bolstered and supported my rehab programme.
This is all a long-winded way of me saying - go to Fixit!! You won't look back!! Your body will thank you. - best investment I've ever made!!

Couldn’t recommend fix it enough!! Worked with Rebecca from 4 weeks post clavicle surgery from the point of having no movement in my arm or shoulder to now post 4 months having full range of movements and back fully lifting weights in the gym. I recently worked with James due to recurrent knee pain which started whilst squatting but was starting to impact daily things like going up and down stairs.
James was fantastic to work with. He explained everything, from how to complete a rehab exercise to why I needed to do it. Not to mention the resources provided and the support when out of the clinic.
As a powerlifter, working with James was invaluable as he is also powerlifter and has first hand knowledge of the sport. He provided tips that have massively improved my lifting as well as providing a rehab program that has completely resolved my knee pain.

I was very impressed with the service provided by James at Fixit- he was very professional and knowledgeable and I would highly recommend.
I went to see James as I was experiencing elbow pain during squatting and some shoulder pain during benching. I had 3 sessions and during each session he would assess my range of motion and mobility. After each session he would send over the rehab exercises in video format with clear instructions. Whenever I had any questions about any of the exercises, he would respond promptly.
I can now squat and bench pain free and have also achieved a few PBs since which is a bonus.

Best physio experience I’ve ever had. Totally different approach that works! I was led to believe from treatments elsewhere I wouldn’t be able to train the way I wanted to anymore and with James’ help we’ve proved that theory wrong. I have referred many friends to Fixit, even while still in the middle of treatment because I knew they were that good. I came to Phillip because I had an injury that I acquired when competing in CrossFit, I didn’t want to stop training altogether which is what most physiotherapists would recommend and didn’t understand the intensity that our training had to be. Phillip was able to not only mend my quad back to normal strength whilst still training hard, but it became even stronger, where I was able to hit PR weights in less than 8 weeks which I just never thought was possible. I was in pretty severe pain with my neck and shoulder when I first booked in with James for a consultation. James knew exactly what I needed to get through that acute phase with some simple breathing and small movement exercises. Moving on from there we’ve been working on building up my upper body strength and mobility so that my neck isn’t taking so much load in my everyday activities, which should prevent the pain returning. Cannot recommend the team at Fixit enough, in particular James has helped me completely turn my Training around. I’m really happy with the help I received from Rebecca. I was getting back to running after two pregnancies but had to stop due to knee pain. Rebecca performed a comprehensive assessment and got to the root cause of the problem. It wasn’t a quick fix but through a series of exercises, I’ve strengthened my hips and core and I feel confident about returning to running. I’m also really feeling the benefits in my every day movement and other sporting activities.

Five physio sessions completed with Phil, and I'm starting to see good progress in what were some fairly long term problems.
Phil is highly professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and very approachable and friendly. I felt totally comfortable with him right from the first appointment. He clearly loves his chosen profession, and his infectious positivity means so much when you've been in pain for a while.
During a session, everything is always clearly explained, and a list of home rehab exercises is sent out later the same day. This is accompanied by videos of any new exercises, so it's all totally clear.
Phil provides a first class physio service. Highly recommended!

I started with James in March after a long struggle with knee injuries which had prevented me from running for approx. 5 years. When I started with James my knees were starting to impact my daily life (even short walks were a struggle). I had basically giving up on ever getting back to proper fitness.
Now approx. 7 months down the line I am running 5km+ two or three times a week, I'm squating, I am deadlifting, doing plyo training and best of all the daily pain is completely gone.

I was introduced to Kayleigh and Fixit through a competition on Instagram with Coop coffee co. When I arrived at Fixit, I received a warm welcome from Kayleigh who completed a full body assessment during the physio consultation. I had no injuries. However, when completing the assessment, Kayleigh noticed there was a weakness/stiffness to the left side of my body. As a result, Kayleigh explained what strengthening prehab support would involve in Fixit. The tips given and breathing exercises were very helpful. I can't recommend James enough. I have had back problems for many years with periods of ups and downs and a prolapsed disc. I was also generally tight and stiff from head to toe and sometimes fairly trivial movements, like stepping down an unexpectedly high kerb or step would cause me issues. I had problems with my back, glute etc. during lockdown 1 with working from home all the time. I always lacked stability but when I returned to the gym after lockdown 1 it had deteriorated. For example I would rock around when trying to do lunges. My balance on 1 leg was always atrocious! When I first met James I found it hard to believe what he told me could be achievable.
However, 8 months on I have made significant progress. I am now much more mobile and confident bending forwards, backwards, side to side and also rotationally as well. My hip movements are vastly improved. I have movement in my feet. I did not even know that your feet could or should have movement in them! I also have greater stability and particularly on my weak side.
I recently returned to the gym after lockdown and my lower back really stiffened up and was irritated. I was a bit despondent as I felt like I had taken a real step back. I spent 1 hour with James and felt taller on the way out!
In the gym I feel I now have noticeable improvement in my range of motion and my stability compared to last year. I am now able to try and progress things and feel confident in doing so.
I have also learned a lot and am much more aware now of what reasonable mobility for me looks and feels like. James has given me a huge array of exercises that I can fall back on if something drops back a little or I feel something tight or not moving quite right etc.
I incorporate the exercises James has given me into my warms up so I am in a good place when I start my work out.
I have had to work hard on what James has given me. It has been entirely worth it. I can see myself using what he has taught me for a long time.

I reached out to Phil March 2020 after spending 10 years with an ankle restriction/injury from playing football. When the injury happened it was misdiagnosed as a “sprain” leading me a year later to have surgery after being in excruciating pain daily. The operation was not a success, I was not able to walk or run or complete everyday activities without pain. Phil provided me with a plan to work on at home due to covid and immediately started to see results! Once lockdown had lifted we then moved straight away to 1-1s. My ankle dorsiflexion when started with Phil was around awful in comparison to my right ankle. I am now 7 months into our 1-1 program and dorsiflexion is completely even to my right, i can walk and jump without issue! He has now give me the green light to attempt running! After spending numerous hours and money over the years with physio’s Phil is by far the most professional, dedicated, knowledgeable and encouraging i have ever met! I learn from his expertise every time we meet! He does not know this , but prior to covid i was awaiting a date for fusion as i was at my limit with it , i cannot wait to tell the nhs that i no longer need the surgery! Thanks Phil!

I’ve been to couple of physios in the past but nothing compares to the treatment I’ve received from Phil. I suffered a fully ruptured ACL and torn meniscus while playing netball and exactly 12 weeks after my injury and getting treatment I’m able to run, hop, skip, lift and perform various workout exercises with no pain. I have also regained 90% of my range of motion in my knee- can’t believe it! Phil takes a super holistic approach to his treatment plans, taking your personal goals into consideration and also any other ailments that could be contributing to your injury. It's great that I can go to Fixit Physiotherapy to work towards my fitness goals, but I can also receive a range of extra sessions from pt to physiotherapy. Phil has great knowledge in sports science and in physiotherapy as he always takes time to explain his teachings and any questions I have for him. He's always made me gain a greater understanding of what I'm doing, but also why I'm doing specific exercises to help in my performance. This has ranged from rugby strength and conditioning to all round fitness. Through all the time I've trained under Phil, he's helped me recover from a broken collar bone, glandular fever and any other niggles/ strains that I've endured over the years. E.g. Over one summer, a goal of mine was to get stronger and gain more muscle, so we sat down and set out a specific gym plan and also reviewed what I was eating. From Phil taking the time to personally sit down with me and help me figure out what food I needed to eat and how much of it I had to eat on top of my training, I was then able to put on 10kg+ over one summer! This is one of many examples in how we've been able to talk out aims and objectives and then meet these targets. The gym itself has an old-school feel to it, which really puts me in the zone to smash every workout. Phil has always given off a more calm/ relaxing feel during sessions, which allows me to focus, understand and learn more about the exercises I'm completing. This means that every time I'm pushed to perform to my best and I leave the gym feeling better every time.
Would highly recommend anyone to try Fixit Physiotherapy who is looking for training or recovery sessions.

I went to see James after a car accident caused a lot of pain and stiffness in my neck and shoulder. In only a few sessions James managed to completely relieve both the pain and tighness. I had a sports accident with result of complex knee and ankle injury and two years later my ankle range was stuck with reduced plantar flexion. Had an initial consultaion and treatment with Phillip last week to see if he could help. Glad I attended as he managed to break down some scar tissue and thus gained extra range which has improved my movement. I am very happy with the outcome at the end of my first appointment. I can't speak higher of Philip! He offers a unique service that doesn't really exist in Northern Ireland. I have been to a lot of physiotherapists and Philip's treatments are right up there! He has helped get through back spasms, knee and neck pain.

Highly recommend Amy and Fixit. Came in with neck and back pain which was causing even sitting at a work desk for more than 30 minutes at a time difficult.
Amy was not only able to work the tension out giving clear and insightful explanations as to exactly what the issue was and what was being done to help relieve pressure but also was able to give really useful exercises and stretches to continue to strengthen the painful area. Have been able to fully get back into sports and the gym again completely pain free and don't know if anyone other than amy would have been able to get that done.
