I've been to George for a deep tissue massage three times now and the latest time he did some acupuncture too. It's been great every time. My muscles feel much less tight and the pain across my upper back and shoulder eases a lot immediately. There is a really friendly and relaxed atmosphere and George is very easy to chat to and gives great advice on treatment and exercises. He's very knowledgeable and clearly loves what he does. Had my first physio session (sports massage) with George Mccain tonight. He sat me down where I discussed the main areas I felt needed work most and he focused more on those areas while working on my entire posterior chain. After being misdiagnosed by a GP a couple of years ago, my first session with Ross was incredibly educational. Ross successfully identified the root cause of any issue I was having. I have now had 3 sessions and all 3 off the issues I was concerned about have vastly improved and are no longer a concern. I initially attended the clinic with a issue with my right shoulder. Ross was able to diagnose it as a shoulder impingement, Ross explained everything well and give me rehab work to work on in the gym and at home. After about 5-6 weeks of physiotherapy and rehab my shoulder issue was resolved and I was back in the gym with no issues at all. On the back of the above physio I decided to get monthly sports massage with George. George is very knowledgeable, good at what he does and offers great advice when I get little niggles in the gym. Both Ross and George are a credit to Regen Physio and would recommend them to anyone.

Saw Ross last night as a bit of an emergency same day apt to get help with a painful unstable shoulder. Before I attended I had no idea the physio is inside a huge muscle gym. However do not let that put you off! I'm not a member of the gym and by no means a fitness finatic but I have recently taken up running, light weights and yoga. Ross put my mind at ease and sorted me right out. Gave me a massage on affected area and took me through a exercises to do at home. Shoulder feels better this morning and I've managed my best run yet. Room is private and spacious. Ross listened to my worries, was very professional and understanding. Thanks Ross! On a side note although gyms isn't my thing - the gym and equipment looked absolutly mega.

Best place to get a sports deep tissue massage in the North East. Excellent facilities and George is a fantastic guy, he makes his clients feel at ease and is equipped with a wealth of knowledge to understand the issue and gives the correct combination of treatment. George stays connected to his clients and shares additional supporting exercises and stretches to be completed at home. I came in with very sore and weak mid to lower back muscles after I tore them deadlifting. After a few sessions I started feeling less pain and was able to move more freely and continue lifting. I book in every 5-6 weeks for a regular check up and loosen off any tight muscles.

I visited Ross several times regarding a problem I was having with my lower back for months. Before this, I had been repeatedly advised to completely stop moving in order to fix this problem, which made it worse over time and I became really paranoid about exercising (affecting both my work and my mental health). Ross quickly helped me to unlearn all of the bad habits I had picked up and gave me the confidence to start training again. He gave me progressive exercises to do to fix the underlying problem as opposed to just temporarily easing the pain, and helped me to understand the issues. Ross Regen Durham put me at ease straight away, listened to my description of why I was there fully and gave me a list of comprehensive explanation of his treatment/recommendations. The site itself is full of state of the art kit that I have used in the past so I know that if need be there is the potential for great exercise therapy. And when I asked about wether I needed a reasonably quick follow up appointment instead of booking me straight in Ross advised that I give a number of weeks to see what impact the advice he had given me had, which I felt was very genuine of him, rather than just taking an easy follow up appointment (which I have had experience of a therapist doing in the past). I went to George with really tight hamstrings - we had an initial chat about what activities I was struggling with and how he was going to treat the area. Throughout the treatment George explained what he was doing and regularly asked about the pressure he was applying as well as the specific areas of pain so that he could further target those areas during the session. After putting up with a tight often painful upper back for more than 3 or 4 years the area was improved literally within the first 5 to 10 minutes. I won't battle on and ignore muscular problems anymore and will book straight away with George. The range of motion has improved dramatically and I've booked in again for another session next weekend. I am a bodybuilder and get worked on quite frequently from various Physios in Glasgow. I was travelling for work down south and popped into Ultraflex to train for a few days. While i was there i decided to book in with George at Regen Physio as i hadnt had work done for a while. George was very professional, very friendly and very knowledgeable. He listened exactly to my needs and requests during the initial consultation and tailored my treatment exactly to my needs & requests. Throughout the treatment he asked me for feedback on how firm i wanted him to go which for me is extremely important as in the past ive had physios who go way overboard with firmness and vice versa ive also had Physios who dont put anywhere near enough pressure into the targeted muscle. Georges "strength"/pressure was exactly what i needed and wanted. Enough to get deep into my muscles but not so hard that it would leave me in excruciating pain. Fantastic place to go! I had a back problem that was bothering me for a long time, through seeing Ross over the space of 4 weeks we have worked to fix this and I can say it has worked a treat! Would recommend anyone with long term issues to give these guys a visit!

Quick thanks to Peter from ultra flex gym at Durham When I was training I felt a long sharp pain in my right shoulder and had to stop immediately I then asked Peter to look at me and he kindly squeezed my in on his busy schedule After a good thorough examination he told I had not tore anything to my relief but had damaged the rotator cuff and helped me with my movement and I have already booked back in to see him next week to check on my progress Thanks Peter
