Tatjana is a brilliant massage therapist
I had bad back pain and she has completely cured it! She is very skilled, using traditional massage as well as hot bamboo to eliminate any pain. She is also always positive, and extremely kind. I recommend her unreservedly- the best massage therapist I have ever had.

Shefali assessed me after I was diagnosed with a bulging disc in my lumber spine and designed a rehabilitation plan for me over several months. Her assessment was thorough and accurate, giving me insights that felt like it came from years of experience. She has an honesty and care that is beyond expectation, and really customised my rehab plan in accordance to my preferences and my physical baseline. Easily one of the best physio experiences for what was one of the most personally worrying injuries, and delivered with a personality to match. I would thoroughly recommend Shefali. Thanks for the great care you showed and getting me back to Tennis in such a short time.

I attend the clinic for sports massages with Tatjana and she is excellent. I’ve been to many sports massage specialists over a few years and Tatjana is the best - both in terms of identifying & focusing on the correct areas to work on; and the techniques themselves she uses to treat the muscles. She is very dedicated to each massage and passionate about making a difference to her clients. Tatjana also follows up with suggested stretches after the sessions which I found very helpful.

Audette did a great job in getting me through some neck, shoulder and arm pain. She is a really caring, positive and highly skilled physiotherapist and far more effective than any other physio I saw before her and I've seen a few! She did a very thorough initial consultation. She then gave me some exercises tailored to me which were very manageable and very effective. She monitored my progress very closely and changed the programme whenever we needed too. So now my body feels very different to when I first saw her-no pain when I wake up in the morning for a start. I absolutely recommend her.

I had post-operative physiotherapy sessions with Jamie following an operation I had on my finger. Jamie was very professional, compassionate and thoughtful in all of our sessions. Being a medical student, it was important for me to regain full range of motion in my fingers. Jamie impressively came up with solutions to improve the function of my finger, whilst recommending solutions that would fit in my busy schedule. At the end, the results exceeded the expectations I had. The team at Central Health were easy to approach and friendly at all times! I would highly recommend Central Health to anyone in a similar occasion as mine's.

I have had online physio sessions during lockdown with Aisling Condon for my hamstring, and I couldn't be more grateful for the care and attention I've received. I thought I'd never be able to run again, but thanks to Aisling's amazing guidance, I am back to walking and running completely without pain - she has performed a miracle. Highly recommended.

Jamie was great. After 10 sessions I have built my strength up post 3 shoulder ops. Best physio I have ever used.
J. H.
I've done two sessions, 4 years apart, with Jamie Lee, one of the practitioners there. I was very impressed with Jamie's knowledge and professionalism.
Both times I went, a problem that had been worrying me for months was was solved after just a 50min consultation.

Central Health has been instrumental in my recovery from a shoulder dislocation earlier this year. I would highly recommend Lucie, as she has been incredibly friendly, and supportive yet pushed me to work hard to strengthen my shoulder with different exercises and stretches. I had very limited range 6 months ago, but am now back to full strength and back to my yoga classes. Absolutely recommend.

Superb facilities that are available during the physio session. They are incredibly flexible to accommodate you as a client and regularly are in contact to make sure you are satisfied. Cathy Barrett is superb at her job, she provided me with physiotherapy and managed to help me achieve what no other physiotherapist has. If you are not sure who the best physiotherapist to see is, she is incredibly caring and committed to you as a patient and the results are phenomenal. I would recommend her above anyone else in the profession, she has helped me to recover from my shoulder operation three months before the projected recovery time and put on over a stone of muscle within weeks which has helped me get back into a good standard of Rugby. Truly outstanding experience with Central Health, nothing more to say...
M. L.
The best physios by far. I damaged a nerve and also have had a irritated disk. Both times, Jamie and Paul were really engaged, positive and gave me a targeted yet achievable program of exercises to support my recovery. I feel confident about their expertise and highly recommend them.

I received physio treatment at Central Health for rehab for a knee injury. Booking appointments at Central was really easy & quick, and there was good availability at lunchtimes and end of the day, which is really helpful.
Lucie, who treated me, was excellent. She took the time to really understand all the context around my injury and lifestyle and was able to help me quickly recover and re-build strength. We were able to progress quickly through the recovery process, which meant I was able to start running again sooner than expected after a knee operation.
I'd totally recommend Lucie & Central Health for physio treatment. Thanks!

I recently had hip replacement surgery and went to Central Health at the Royal Hospital Chelsea for physiotherapy. The treatment and care I received were first class and greatly facilitated my speedy recovery. My therapist was Faye Peck who was fantastic. Her knowledge and experience provided me with a high level of confidence and comfort in undertaking the necessary exercises for rehabilitation. I had both hydro and land sessions with Faye and made tremendous progress between sessions as she provided expertise guidance on the targeted activities for me outside of the sessions. I can highly recommend, without reservation, both Faye and Central Health for post-surgery recovery.

This is my first review on clinics. My physio was Jamie Lee.
I had tennis elbow since early Apr 2019 due to my badminton play.
I was expecting a much longer recovery time as tennis elbow typically takes. But Jamie did manage to help me come back to the court in 3 months' time.
When I try to thank Jamie. He said treatment process is a teamwork. It needs me to strictly follow instruction and provide feedback, and then he can analyse the feedback and tailor-make the treatment technique that fits into my situation. 40% of the patient don't follow instructions. I think his advice is very useful for future patients so I decide to write this review.
Again thank you Jamie.

I visited the Chancery Lane branch of Central Health when I incurred an injury to my calf whilst running. I needed prompt effective treatment, as well as guidance on getting myself back to fitness, as I had an upcoming run which I was already committed to. David O'Neil not only treated my injury but also gave me excellent stretching and strengthening exercises to do as the weeks progressed, as well as guidance and advice on what I could/couldn't do to get myself back to "normal" as quickly and safely as possible. This was my first sports injury and visit to a physiotherapist, David was approachable and friendly as well as being professional and knowledgeable in his treatment and advice. If I was unfortunate enough to sustain another sports injury, I would have no hesitation in returning to Central Health to see David O'Neil.

I used the centre in Chancery Lane after hurting my back. In previous instances when I have done myself the same mischief it has taken nearly 6 weeks to be back to running again. With being able to get a quick appointment and conveniently being so close to my workplace I was looked at by amazing professionals who after a very good exchange of information did what they needed to get my back fixed. I was back to running withing a couple of days and back to full on movement and completely back to normal within a week. The physio was even nice enough to walk me through how to work out better to help my back.
I could not recommend them more. I have used them a couple of times now and each time they have been amazing. Just excellent.

My experience with Central Health Physiotherapy was great. I attended 6 sessions recovering from a knee injury. David Wales was very systematic in his approach of suggesting exercises, monitoring progress and adjusting the program as needed. He listened well and gave thoughtful advise during the recovery period. He was very knowledgeable, understood very well the issues at hand and was very good at treating the knee to relieve pain. Overall a very good experience and I would fully recommend it!
S. G.
I attended the Chancery Lane clinic for over four months for treatment on a knee injury and was looked after by Lucie. Lucie immediately made me feel welcome and very quickly diagnosed the cause of the underlying pain. Through a number of different strength building exercises, specifically designed by Lucie based on her experience, my knee gradually got better to the extent that I now feel no more pain when running. Lucie is a very personable individual and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone who is looking for a physiotherapist with a strong interest in patient care and someone who can make a difference.

I was referred to the Chancery Lane clinic after shoulder surgery last year. My physio was David Wales who I found to be very professional and knowledgable about the treatment required to get me back to normal as soon as possible. 4 months on and I have found myself back in the gym and on track for a full recovery.
Having been treated for various sporting injuries by about a dozen physios in the past decade, I'd have to say that David is one of the best I've come across so would highly recommend him.

I went to Central Health's Chancery Lane practice after starting to feel knee pains while running. I was initially very well impressed by their efficiency and customer attention, and most importantly by the success of the limbs strengthening that the physiotherapist recommended me. I now continued my workout activities in the gym and doing leisurely runs once every month with no further pain. I couldn't recommend Central Health more.

Great service, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jennifer Sharpe. I broke my radial head in a cycling accident, and after 10 days in a backslab was left with very limited mobility and stiffness and only vague exercise instructions from my consultant. Jennifer worked on relieving both muscular and bony stiffness in the joint, gave me plenty of exercises to build up strength and after a few sessions I got back full mobility in the elbow - all in time for a summer back on the bike. I picked out Central Health on the basis of these positive reviews and am very happy to add my own recommendation.

Shefali is a brilliant physiotherapist - she adressed my complaints and gave me impartial advice on my desk set up at home, my posture, as well as exercises to strengthen my neck and back.
She is friendly, professional and I would not hesitate to recommend Central Health Physio to anyone in my circle (in fact I already have)
After 1 session I was 90% recovered, and after 3 I was completely fine.
I hope I don't need their services again, but should I, I will definitely be re-booking myself in with them

I couldn't recommend Central Health Physiotherapy more. I'm a keen runner and have had a series of annoying running-related injuries (shin splints, runner's knee, IT band issues, plantar fasciitis - the list goes on!) and Shefali has each time quickly diagnosed the issue and provided expert guidance on how to rehab as quickly and painlessly as possible. I was aiming to run sub-3 hours at Manchester marathon this year and with Shefali's help, I smashed my goal, running 2:53. Thank you very much to Shefali and Central Health.

I had an excellent experience with Central Health in Chancery Lane. I broke my arm skiing and following two surgeries and rehab I needed follow up physiotherapy. Katriona Ryan treated me and was excellent throughout. She reassured me from my first appointment that I would get near full movement back and by following the exercises she gave me I am thrilled with how much my arm has improved and is now back to normal. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Katriona and Central Health.

Over 8 years of regular strength and conditioning training I've issued myself a handful of sports injuries. Central Health has by far been the best experience I've had with a physio. Jen quickly identified the issue and provided very clear insight as to the cause, the surrounding anatomy and how to rehabilitate the joint. 3 sessions later I'm back to my fitness with guidance on how to avoid repeating the problem. Recommended to several friends and colleagues.

I tore my anterior cruciate ligament in September 2016 and was recommend to central health by my surgeon.
They have been fantastic throughout my recovery process initially with my physio Shefali who was has been great in initially understanding the extent of my injury, realistic about my recovery time and great encouragement throughout my rehab.
And then with Jamie who runs the lower limb class on a Tuesday. I would recommend this class to anyone who has suffered an ACL injury. It is great having a physio leading the class as you feel in a safe environment to push your injury and confident you are not doing any further damage. The class is tailored to your stage in recovery and you will be pushed further each time you attend.
The classes usually only have a small number of attendees and it can feel like a personal training session. Also, they are a good workout which is a bonus!
I have and would continue to recommended Central Health to anyone who needs physio treatment.

Central Health was recommended to me by a leading ACL surgeon and I have been delighted with this choice. David Wales has guided me through my recovery and is the best physio that I’ve had. He is knowledgeable and takes the time to explain how best to train and recover. Furthermore, the Chancery Lane clinic has been accommodating to changes in appointment times and is well situated in Central London. Highly recommended!

I visited the Central Health clinic for a few sessions of physio in February and March 2016 in relation to a shoulder injury. After a frustrating few months going through the NHS system and finding it difficult to get appointments, I was very pleased to receive the professional service offered at Central Health (e.g. I was able to get appointments quickly at times which fitted in my schedule). The physio I saw was Katriona Ryan. She provided me with excellent advice and a tailored exercise routine. I started seeing improvements very soon after my first session and my shoulder was pain-free in under two months. I was very happy with the service and I wish I had gone there sooner.

I had an excellent experience at the chancery lane clinic. I was booked in to see Jamie, who was fantastic and professional throughout. Within my first appointment he had identified the problem with my ankle and the plan of action to try and rectify it. I was sent away with exercises to do regularly in between appointments and told to email should anything happen before my next session. During my sessions we continued to build my strength and gradually introduced running back in to my routine. I had 10 sessions in total over a couple of months and my sessions were booked in to support my progress rather than for the sake of it! From being in pain whilst I was walking I definitely did not think I would be running again - however thanks to the exercises, advice and expertise from Jamie I am now running regularly through out the week (and I have been saved from steroid injections!) It was by far the best physio experience I have had - I would highly recommend Jamie and would not hesitate to return in the future!

In recent weeks I have had a calf strain injury and being a very keen runner any injury such as this is a bit of a concern. Paul King provided me with some excellent physio as usual and then suggested I have some soft tissue massage. I made an appointment with Lizzy Hewitt and she has proved to be top class. I have now had a couple of sessions with Lizzy and each one has proved to be highly effective and I cannot recommend Lizzy highly enough for sports massage. She has given me guidance on stretching, too and is definitely my go to person for any muscular tweaks and aches and pains. Five star!

I have been going to Central Health Physiotherapy for many years for various sporting induced ailments (you would have thought I'd have learnt by now!). They have always taken care of me very well, with sensible advice, professional treatment and plenty of support. Particularly good is the fact that they retain the history of previous treatments so there is no need to keep going over old ground even when it might be many months between visits.
Thoroughly recommended.

I had physio at the Central Health, Chancery Lane clinic. I fractured my back and required long-term physio to get back to being active again.
I would strongly recommend David Wales. He was my physio and really made a difference to my recovery. David had a really good understanding of what would work and his primary concern was getting my back back to 'normal'. He only saw me the necessary amount and was able to assess my progress really well.
I will continue to use Central Health and in particular David.

Lucie Bond was my physio and in just over a month she helped me cure my ITB injury. She not only helped me with the injury but also gave me overall running techniques and advice which will help me avoid future injury and improve my endurance and running time. Overall, great experience, she is extremely nice and understanding and followed up all the appointment with emails outlining my progress and exercises which I should do.

I tore my ACL in Sept 2014 which meant I required intensive physio therapy before and after my surgery. I was glad Central Health was recommended to me by my surgeon, Paul King my physio carefully designed a range of exercises for me to do firstly to bring the swelling down on my knee and to strengthen it making sure it was in good shape to be operated on and giving me a chance to recover quicker once surgery was done.
Once surgery was over, Paul carefully monitored the progress of my knee and stepped up or slowed down the intensity of the work out depending on the feedback I gave him. Overall I was glad to be in safe hands along with someone who know what I need to do to achieve my target of getting back to playing football. I am now back at training and playing football while carrying on the strengthening work on my knee thanks to Central Health!

I had physio sessions with David Wales after shoulder surgery. He was simply excellent. The exercises he gave me were always perfectly suited, in line with my progress in recovering my strength and motions of the shoulder. In addition to his expertise, Mr Wales was always flexible, extremely kind, helpful and positive (which is obviously key to get confidence back after surgery). I can now start sport again after many years of frustration or fears of dislocations. To be clear, I joined a club of thai boxing.

My sincere thanks to David O'Neil from the Central Health team for helping me recover from my shoulder injury and getting me back to competitive swimming.
After a bad fall off my bike and making little progress for two weeks I started to get concerned that I would need an op. Then a friend recommended Central Health and I was referred to David. He has helped rehabilitate my shoulder and I have seen it progress to full recovery over a period of weeks under his treatment, guidance and encouragement. I am now back in the pool swimming 3 times a week.
Treatment is very professional but friendly. As a keen sportsman I highly recommend.

I was receiving treatment at Central Health for sciatica. This is the second time I had an attack and I wish I knew about the Mc Kenzie therapy a lot earlier! When I was looking for a therapist it was very easy to choose: Audette is the highest qualified McKenzie therapist in London with lots of experience. I really think that the treatment and advice I received improved my condition dramatically in a very short time. I was encouraged to take part in the healing process and I was taught how to look after myself, which I really liked. Thank you very much Audette, wishing you all the best!
M. S.
I had an initial assessment with Shefali Desai a few weeks back and was very impressed with her knowledge and the approach she took to diagnosing my issue and providing some well thought out treatment and exercises to help resolve them. The treatment room was clean and spacious. The waiting room is a little on the small side though and was very busy when I was there (although I still found a seat). I thought that it was quite expensive when compared to other central London Physios I have visited, but to counteract that the level of service I received was very good. Would definitely recommend this practice to anyone.
S. A.
I had been experiencing some severe shoulder pains and having been messed around by another physiotherapist I was keen to get some treatment and get back to health. I had several appointments with Gemma. On the first appointment she took a considerable period to understand how my pains were occurring and gave practical advice as to how I could mitigate it. The following sessions were based on treatment and advising on exercises I could undertake in order that I no longer needed treatment.
Every member of staff that I encountered from reception to the physios were extremely professional. I would have no hesitation in returning should I need to do so in the future.
E. O.
I was recommended the lower limb strengthening class after having surgery on my knee, and not quite feeling like I had recovered fully 9 months on. After having a couple of one-2-one physio session with Jamie Lee I was ready to start his Tuesday morning classes. My knee has gone from strength to strength – I saw definition coming back within a month and the minor aches and pains melted away. I have also been able to go back to playing Netball too! I would highly recommend both Jamie Lee and the LLS classes.

I was training for an Ultra Marathon, picked up an injury and was recommended Paul King at Central Health by a friend. I was able to get an appointment within 24 hours and they were able to deal directly with my insurance company to arrange the admin. With one session Paul was able to address the problem I was having, giving me exercises to stop it recurring and reassuring me that I could carry on with my training programme. I was so impressed that I booked in for a further session to get advice on injury prevention during the rest of my training. He made some suggestions and after this session I not only felt more confident in the training I was doing but felt myself getting stronger, quicker and was more resilient. I'd recommend Paul to anyone.

As an avid sportsman I have had my fair share of injuries over the years which consequently has resulted in many visits to a physio. I have to say that of the dozen's I have seen, Central Health has without a doubt been the best. I first visited them following a shoulder operation as a result of multiple dislocations, my rehabilitation has been fantastic and I put that down to Shefali. She is not only very knowledgeable but genuinely cares about your well being and rehabilitation. I have since recommended her to a friend who said the same! If you want a physio that is skilled that you can trust with your rehabilitation, look no further. Again special thanks to Shefali for an amazing job on my shoulder!
D. M.
Central Health gave me really good, solid advice and physio services. My Physiotherapist was Lucie Bond and I was treated for a hamstring injury. I am now back up and running again (literally) after 6 weeks of treatment. I would recommend Central Health Physiotherapy and especially Lucie, who has treated me really well for 2 separate unrelated conditions in the space of one year.

I cannot begin to express my gratitude to Kieran for all he did to get my knee back to its happy, healthy self. He’s an excellent physio - he listened to me, validated my injury in a way no health professional I’d previously seen had done. He took my injury seriously, but made the visits enjoyable with his dry sense of humour. He didn’t make me feel weird for crying over an injured knee and he motivated me to push myself to full recovery. Thank you Kieran for getting me back to my active self. He not only improved my physical health, but my mental well-being also. I’m so appreciative.
S. G.
I started visiting the clinic in March after a car accident left me with severe neck pain and nerve sensitivity in my arm. Thanks to David O'Neil's expert treatment I am now fully recovered.
As well as treating me in the clinic with a range of techniques, including acupuncture and massage, David was able to give me excellent advice on how to work on my recovery at home. He ensured I was fully equipped with a repertoire of stretches, advice on exercises and guidance on how I should be sitting & sleeping to ensure a speedy recovery.
David has a very pleasant manner and clearly has great knowledge and expertise in his field. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a fantastic physiotherapist.
D. A. L.
I had a few sessions with Katriona Ryan to treat torn ankle ligaments, and after the initial session (at which time I was wearing an air boot and using a pair of crutches!) I was able to walk on the air boot alone within a week. She gave me back my confidence by clearly explaining how to exercise daily and also was very helpful in explaining how to prevent future injury while running. I was able to get early morning or late evening appointments to suit my working day and would highly recommend Katriona if you need a physio who will diagnose the problem early on and immediately start to ease the pain! Great service and I always found it easy to get in contact with the practice when I needed to book appointments at short notice. Highly recommended

Had a great experience at Central Health. Having broken my collar bone, my surgeon referred me to the practice for a course of physiotherapy. Jamie Lee was fantastic and ensured that I had as speedy return to good health and mobility as possible. Would definitely recommend.

I am very positive about my experience at Chelsea Central Health Clinic. It is a difficult time recovering from injury both physically and mentally and the support and advice I received was invaluable. Thank you to Jamie Lee for ensuring I made a full recovery and thank you to the whole team who are always friendly and helpful- Jasper in reception is always welcoming. After my experience, I feel positive about my future health.

I had seen roughly 9 physio’s in 18 months before Paul and Kieran for my ITB band knee issue. Paul and Kieran are worth more than all those 9 combined. Paul is a highly knowledgeable physio who puts you at ease, explains the situation in a reassuring way whilst taking the nervous system into account. I already feel better after his recommended strengthening exercises and nerve sliders. I had been dependent on orthotics for many years as well however he did a detailed video analysis which showed me otherwise. Worth the 60 minute commute from Wimbledon.

Very professional and knowledgeable. I had a really painful achilles tendon for months and it was getting worse and worse. My GP said it was probably tendonitis which could be with me forever. I was hobbling when I got out of bed like a very old lady and limping all the time. In desperation I booked an appointment at Central Health and on my first appointment Jamie Lee, the physio, told me to stop all of the stretching exercises that I was doing in order to try to strengthen my achilles. He did other stuff with me at the appointment, and I can honestly say it started to get better from day one. I only had three appointments and by the end of a month my pain was completely gone and it hasn't come back. I was so happy as I thought I'd got it for life! I would completely recommend Central Health and already have done to friends and colleagues, one of whom has already attended Central Health herself and was also happy with the outcome.

I have never used a physio before but had an unexplained pain in my ankle after a hiking holiday. The usual googling of symptoms was confusing. I booked in with Paul King based on a recommendation of a runner friend of mine. The session was great and diagnosed the issue correctly in a friendly and informative manner and gave great advice for getting better, including advice on not pushing back to exercise too quickly. It was well worth the money and very professional yet friendly atmosphere. Paul was great as recommended and have since recommended him to friends.

Audette James is Wonder Woman as far as i'm concerned. When I first saw her less than 6 weeks ago, I was regularly experiencing quite debilitating migraines and my sleep was suffering. I thought it was from shoulder pain but she quickly established a neck issue and after weekly visits and following the recommended neck exercise regime, I feel a million times better. I now have nearly full movement in my neck and the joy of sleep has been worth every single penny! I'd highly recommend Audette and this clinic - very friendly and really helpful both in person and over the phone. I'm not wishing myself any more injuries but if I did have one, this would be my go to place!
C. J.
I was treated by Emma Levy for pains down my left leg and shoulder. Emma has been professional and very thorough from the beginning of my treatment to end. She was recommended to me by a colleague and I am so glad that I took the advice. I would recommend Emma without a doubt. My appointments always started on time which helps as I go in my lunch hour. If I need a physiotherapist I would not hesitate to use Emma again.
j.
Where to start. I cannot recommend Lucie highly enough. I can honestly say I wouldn't be where I am today without her - and I'm on my way to full recovery without needing surgery. I sustained a fairly complex leg/knee injury earlier in the year so have been a regular patient. Lucie is thorough, attentive and has a very strong appreciation of your needs and return to full fitness. And she has personally taken the time to write me a program to assist with my rehabilitation even though I am moving cities. I've had a few injuries over the last decade so have visited many physio clinics in London and New Zealand. Central Health stands above them all.
Happy rehabbing.
S. C.
I wholeheartedly recommend Central Health Physiotherapy - in fact I badger everyone I know with any sort of physio problem to go there at once! They have sorted out a number of things for me over the years, but most recently David Wales has done simply brilliant work in working out why my lower back was seizing up, and helping me to reactivate the (long neglected) muscles needed to stop this. With a staged programme of exercises I could feel constant steady progress, and feel I was contributing to my recovery. Fantastic stuff!
P. F.
Firstly, it is a friendly environment. Although you have a timed appointment, there seems to be no rushing, it makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. I have had physio and massages from various people over the last year and there is indeed a great deal of knowledge, everyone has their own style, but everyone listens...
I run marathons, so I use my visits mainly as maintenance for my legs, but have been helped my various niggles and injuries I get from time to time...
I 100% recommend CH to anyone!

I went to Central Health with lower back pain just after Christmas. 2 months later the pain has reduced dramatically and I have been provided with exercises and strategies to prevent the issue reoccurring.
Shefali undertook a very detailed assessment at the outset and then, in addition to hands-on work, showed me a number of stretches/movements to improve my condition.
This included a session in their gym with weights to strengthen by back. She also provided training advice as I enjoy to run. The facilities and quality of therapy was excellent. I couldn't rate Shefali more highly.
M. L.
I could not thank AUDETTE JAMES enough for the fantastic therapy I’ve had from her. I was frustrated with the mis-diagnoses from other physio that I was referred to her. She was very thorough with her assessment & precise with the treatment & exercises taken home. With just a total of 3 treatments I am now pain free but working on my muscle strengthening. I will not hesitate to recommend her for physio needs. All the best & thank you once again.
A. M.
Lizzie Hewitt has treated me twice for painfully stiff and tense muscles in my back and neck. She has worked firmly but sensitively, checking frequently that the deep tissue manipulation wasn't getting too painful. She has been clear in her analysis of the likely causes of the muscle spasm and recommended Pilates exercises to help reduce or avoid recurrence of my problems. Lizzie has a delightful manner and I have been very pleased with the results.
C. M.
I visited Catriona at Central Health after damaging my Achilles in a half marathon. She gave me some simple exercises to do with a realistic regime and soon had me back up & running, my old distance and pace. Most importantly she didn't stop me from running completely in the initial stages of recovery which I would have really struggled with.
I would thoroughly recommend Central Health services to anyone recovering from an injury or wanting to prepare for an event.
H. J.
I suffered from a ruptured ACL injury and wanted to get back to playing sports as soon as possible. I had the reconstruction operation and started my physio with Central Health. I saw David Wales and he recommended the lower limb rehabilitation class. I've been attending the class for a few months. My knee and legs feel almost as strong and stable as before the injury.
I can wholeheartedly recommend the physio and class. I'm not far away from my comeback and it would have been a lot longer if it wasn't for the encouragement I received from the folks here. The whole team are fantastic and such a friendly bunch.
Thanks loads, Harvey.

I saw Shefali Desai with acute hip pain arising from running. Following a careful history and examination, she reached a clear diagnosis of tendinopathy and provided me with clear advice on strengthening the surrounding muscles in order to take the pressure off the tendon. Her advice was spot on and after a period of the necessary rehab, I have been able to return to running. Shefali is friendly, professional and extremely able - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her services. She also provided great after care, contacting me by email to provide literature and diagrams reminding me of the exercises she had shown me in the gym and checking on my progress. Thank you for a first class service.

I called the Chancery Lane clinic after having severe back pain and sciatica, and was offered a same-day appointment. Everyone who works there is really lovely and helpful! I saw Jamie who was absolutely fantastic with both diagnosing my issue and aiding my recovery and I couldn't recommend him highly enough.

I've had a number of sessions at Central Health with David Wales. Overall it's been an extremely positive experience. I had been experiencing knee and hip pain due to muscular weakness stemming from an old injury. David quickly identified the problem and helped develop a targeted programme to rectify the issues.
In addition to the first-class physio treatment, I found the set up at Central Health to be extremely professional and the staff personable.
I would recommend Central health to anyone looking for a physiotherapist in Central London.

I have used Central Health a number of times over the years but most recently in relation to symptoms showing themselves initially as achilles tendon pain. I was treated by David Wales who was very thorough in his examination and recovery plans and treatment.
One of the things I find consistently impressive is that they do not try to oversell their services. They are always there to help but provide details recovery plans to implement yourself rather than simply pushing appointment after appointment. It's one of the reasons I'm very happy to recommend them and will keep going back as more bits fail!!

Hi All. had a problem with my knees for 6/7 years. David Wales was recommended to me by my surgeon after my knees operation. After seeing so many specialists/GP/physiotherapists.... I have to say, I was quite reluctant and tired to start over with a new physiotherapist.
Since the beginning with David, I felt I could trust him and went to see him on a regular basis. I have improved quite a lot. I went to a follow up session with my surgeon a year after my operations and he told me not to “come back to see him” as I was cured.
I have just started joining the group session on Fridays to keep building up muscles around the knees as well as to strength some parts of my body and make sure I can re-start doing sport with a body fully prepared for it.
Thank you very much for your help David.

After 6 weeks in a sling with a broken collarbone, shoulderblade and rib, I could barely lift my arm up to my face to brush my teeth. Jamie Lee immediately reassured me that I would be back to 100%, and in his good care I am now back to all my normal activities. He emphasised the need to get my shoulder moving as soon as possible to avoid frozen shoulder. He prescribed me a range of exercises, gradually building up the range of movement and difficulty, whilst ensuring that until I was discharged by the orthopaedic doctor I didn't do anything that put too much load on the shoulder. He was always very encouraging about trying to use my arm normally as much as possible.
I really do feel that thanks to Jamie's exercises and treatment I was able to avoid a frozen shoulder, as the NHS physio was taking my case much more slowly. I can highly recommend his treatment, and the clinic is well located and well equipped with the right facilities.

Been to see many physios over the years for various different injuries and I would 100% recommend CHP and David Wales over any other. The practice is extremely professional and it's great to have the flexibility of several locations. David was recommended by my surgeon after major ankle surgery and the results have been great!

I was referred to Central Health with a knee injury caused by cycling as I had an event I was training for. I saw Hayley, and found her to be extremely thorough in the initial diagnosis of the injury, and honest and open with the timescale I could be looking at to return to cycling. The treatment was very good, and the exercise plan she devised was manageable in and around my daily life. Overall I would definitely recommend their services and would you them again in the future.

I have been working with Lucie at Central Health Chancery Lane on and off for over a year now, due to an ongoing knee injury. Since my surgery in March, Lucie has been incredibly helpful and motivational and thanks to her dedicated support and advice I am now only a few weeks away from returning to football for the first time in 16 months! I would definitely recommend Central Health!

I was studying abroad in London for 6 months and injured my rotator cuff in class. My schedule was quite busy and I only got a chance to attend about 5 sessions, but Central Health was always able to schedule me in and Hayley Dalton was a great help. She gave me many exercises to rehabilitate my shoulder and got very specific with me when I wanted to know something. All I can say is that you MUST put in the work. I got very busy with my schedule at the time and could not find time to do my exercises every day or most of the week. If you put the time in to do the exercises, then you will see results. Two Thumbs Up!

I had a very good experience at Central Health Physio, Chancery Lane. I had an old injury to my shoulder and wrist complicated by CRPS which were still giving me problems, I was lucky to have worked with Lucie who was absolutely excellent. She was sensitive and knowledgeable and after a few months of physio and exercises my shoulder and wrist are almost trouble free.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Shefali guided my physical therapy as I overcame an ankle injury. She helped me remember not to take things too seriously, that everything was healing just as it should, and that any little concerns I had were resolvable. After a few months I feel much better about my ankle. The therapy is exceptional, but what really made the experience great was feeling like Shefali genuinely cared about the entire process. Highly, highly recommend. Thank you Shefali!

A first-rate experience all round! I was at a fairly low ebb carrying a knee injury, caused by running, which hadn't been resolved with a long period of rest. I couldn't run more than 2km, let alone complete the half marathon I had planned. In my first session Shefali was thorough in identifying the problem and set out a clear plan to get me running pain-free again. She targeted the specific weakness but also gave me a whole host of other strategies and activities to improve and prevent further injuries in future. It was a holistic approach rather than just focusing on the current pain I had. I ran the half marathon I had planned last weekend in a faster time than I could have ever hoped for and am delighted! Without Shefali I wouldn't have even made it to the start line, but she's also helped me become a fitter, faster runner in the long term - I can't thank her enough!

I was referred to Central Health Physiotherapy and was thoroughly impressed with the care and service I received. I was able to see Paul King immediately and was advised to start the Lower Limb Therapy class as part of my recovery process. The small group class was just what I needed to stay motivated and positive about my progress. Everyone was supportive of one another and it made for a more encouraging atmosphere.
I would recommend this class over and over again. A HUGE ‘Thank you’ to Paul and to everyone at Central Health!

I had been to plenty of other physios for 2 years before I approached Central Health Physiotherspy for an ongoing shoulder injury that none of the other physios beforehand could explain. After two sessions at Central Health, I was informed it could be something more serious and I was referred to one of Central Health's recommended specialists. I found out that i needed a small operation to fix my shoulder. After my operation, I started and completed my rehab with Centrls health and 3/4 months after my operation my shoulder was more or less back to normal. Thank you very much Shefali!

Had a few appointments at Central Health Physiotherapy with David Wales for a case of hip FAI. Was quite worried on my first appointment but David took the time to understand my side of the story as opposed to only rely on what my scan was showing. It took 3 appointments and a range of exercises to do at home to help with my hip. Happy to say that since then my condition has improved a lot and I've been able to go back to sport as normal.

I would give 10 stars to Central Health Physio and Jamie if I could. I have had a severe back pain along with an irritating sciatica pain (L5-S1 disc protrusion) and before I met Jamie from CHP, I have visited 1 physio in Turkey, 2 physios and 1 chiro in the UK and not only did not they build the trust that i needed, but also I have not improved at all. I can not recommend Jamie Lee more. During the difficult time I had, he has always motivated me, encouraged that I can heal myself, referred to a doctor when needed, took me to gym, instructed and trained me like a personal trainer. So to those who are reading this and having difficulties with disc hernia, go find Jamie, and do whatever he recommends with patience. You will then thank Jamie and me as well :)

I was referred to Katriona with Plantar Faciitis about 4 months ago I injured my foot on the London 10k - could hardly walk - after only 6 sessions I am now 95% healed - ran 6k this morning pain free - I could not give Katriona a better reference - she really knows her stuff especially about running - she is really diligent and responsive and has adjusted my treatment in line with my recovery. She also has advised me on running technique, stretching and strength / conditioning work to make sure the problem does not come back. She is awesome!

I started going to pilates classes at Central Health Physiotherapy (CHP) after a slipped disc injury, as part of their recommended core building long-term recuperation plan. I haven't looked back since. It seriously helped me not only get over my injury, but also get more out of my active lifestyle. 2 years on, my core strength is now stronger than it ever has been, my flexibility is back, my fitness as a result is better than ever! And what I have realised over the years is that pilates classes at CHP are SO much better than fitness studio classes! The classes are small, mixed, the instructors are highly attentive and aware of their students capabilities, knowledgeable of the human anatomy (comes with working in a physiotherapy studio), professional and focused on teaching the correct methods, rather than just packing a room full and treating it like a fitness class. I cannot recommend the pilates classes or the team doing them highly enough!

I'm so pleased with the treatment and advice I received from Shefali. I've previously seen physiotherapists for similar tendon problems with little success. So I was a bit cynical. Shefali really took the time to understand exactly what my problem was, rather than provide generic advice. Over a course of 4 or 5 appointments in a couple of months I've seen a massive improvement.
It was also really simple to schedule appointments at convenient times and to reschedule when I needed to.
Thanks so much! Very highly recommended.

I had a great experience with Jamie Lee after surgery when I tore ligaments in my foot. I was limping when I started seeing him a few months ago and now I'm back in the gym a few times a week and feeling healthier than before and am grateful for his steady, support and encouragement. Would definitely recommend. Chris

After seeing Shifali with knee pain (and noises) I took up the leg strengthening class with Jamie (10 sessions) and have to say they were incredibly good - the first session taught me I had muscles I'd never used but after that each session felt stronger in my legs. I would highly recommend this course and Jamie makes it a lot easier with his positive attitude and encouragement.

Shefali is great! She's the best physio I've ever seen, not that the others didn't know what they were doing, but she is so friendly and really makes you feel like she cares. She's been helping me with back pain during pregnancy and has provided plenty of other advice to get through the 9 months.
P. J.
Central Health helped fix my back after it ceased up recently, as well as with shoulder issues in the past. They were very thorough and I got brilliant and very personalised treatment. Shefali made sure to she got to the source of the problem as well as helping with the immediate symptoms. I thoroughly recommend them. I've been to both the Chancery Lane and Chelsea clinics. Both very friendly and great treatment. Thank you!

I used CHP for physiotherapy sessions following a knee operation.
I highly recommend my physio (Lucie Bond) - she was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and the sessions were well structured. The sessions I had with Lucie ensured that I achieved progress incrementally each week.
CHP is also a well-maintained facility with both private consultation rooms and gym for a more dynamic session.

The service at Central Health Physiotherapy from reception to medical advice was excellent. The reception desk was timely, helpful and flexible in accommodating a short-notice referral from a PMC doctor.
The facilities at PMC & Central Health Physiotherapy are top-standard - with comfortable seating & facilities.
Most importantly, Dr. Sean Seymour-Cole was helpful and provided excellent medical advice. My mom, dad and I went to see Dr. Sean Seymour-Cole after a referral from a orthopeadic surgeon on focusing to improve muscle strength in my dad's legs. Sean tested my dad's strength & asked detailed questions to understand his conditions and goals. He clarified the important steps to achieving sustainable health and which medical symptoms/physical signs should be alarming for him.
He spent time educating all of us on the importance of muscle strength, the conditions that led to my dad's medical discomforts and how to best combat them.
Most importantly, Dr. Sean was flexible to accommodate us at short notice yet again to review a proposed treatment plan he prepared over the weekend. He spent time walking through the exercises. This was very much appreciated by all of us
My family and I could not recommend Central Health Physio, the team and Dr. Sean Seymour-Cole more wholeheartedly.

I attended Central Health for help with a torn and slipped disc injury. Over a period of two months I saw Claire Benjamin for acupuncture and physio to treat the injuries, followed by one-on-one pilates with Rene to focus on core strength. I could not have recovered so well and so quickly without their help. The level of treatment and overall treatment plan was spot on. Initially, when I was not always mobile enough to make my appointments, Claire contacted me by phone to keep a check on my condition and mobility and provide guidance on what I could do to progress with recovery, while preventing further injury. I cannot thank Claire and Rene enough for the excellent level of service and care they provided.

After tearing my ACL, David Wales has been the main reason I have been able to recover as quickly as I have, he is a sports injury specialist and week after week set me manageable and achievable goals. He has helped build my confidence and talked me through each stage of recovery, both before and after surgery, I highly recommend the treatment I have received.

I was referred to Central Health as I started to get a persistent back problem! I was lucky enough to have been attended to by Shefali!
She quickly identified the key factors which were resulting to the back issues and put together a great set of exercises to do each day to strengthen the muscles. Within a week I was back to normal. It was money well spent and I can't thank her enough!
Brilliant service, very knowableable and easy to book an appointment. I strongly recommend them to family and friends.

I am really pleased with the results I achieved with Shefali at Central Health. I started to see Shefali in April due to neck and shoulder issues (tightness, pain and weakness) that were limiting my day-to-day activities. My goal was to be able to get strong enough to get back to doing yoga classes regularly, as in April I was finding even the simplest poses aggravated my condition. Shefali started me on a strengthening programme, including tailored exercises to build my strength and work towards the poses. My strength and confidence in trying the poses increased by huge amounts due to her support and tailored management, and I am back to enjoying regular yoga classes which make me feel great!

First rate service from an excellent therapist has kept my hypermobile daughter going ,highly recommended

Shefali treated me for pelvic girdle pain during my pregnancy which had been so severe I was struggling to walk. After a few sessions with Shefali and following the exercises she gave me, the pain completely eased and stayed away for the remaining 7 weeks of my pregnancy.
Shefali’s warmth and kindness, together with her expertise and knowledge, meant I was completely at ease from the very first session and trusted her entirely, something that was particularly important to me while pregnant. Thank you Shefali for making the last couple of months of pregnancy bearable!

I have actually used Central Health for two different injuries over the last 6 years. Initially after knee surgery where I saw two different staff members - and more recently for an ankle problem with David Wales.
Quick, friendly, professional diagnosis and a range of treatments. As with all physio - you get out what you put in with the exercises at home, but it helps immensely to have someone you trust pointing you in the right direction.

Miracle workers. What more can I say?
I experienced very bad knee pain whilst training for the London Marathon and got diagnosed with PFPS by Shefali at the start of March. Following her exercise regime religiously each day and seeing her every other week to check-in on my progress, I was not only able to start the marathon, but also recorded a new personal best. Having had to sit-out three weeks to give my muscles some strength again in the crucial build-up phase wasn't perfect, but seemed to have worked incredibly well. Shefali was very understanding with regards to my aim, personalized the plan accordingly and gave honest feedback to questions around additional classes. She further allowed me to send her emails in the run-up to the race which helped cast the last doubts from my mind.

I have visited Kieran O'Dea for consultation regarding my right shoulder, my golfers elbow and my hip joint. thanks to his advice and therapy, all of them are now far better in less than 2 weeks. What I really appreciate about Kieran methodology is that it is holistic and not only looking at the symptoms and how to make them better. This helped me to look at the root cause and measure my recovery progress as well. I really acknowledge Kieran for his professional knowledge and also for his ability to connect with the human side of me as a patient. Thank very much Kieran and keep helping people this way, you are very good at it.

I recently had a consultation with David Wales following an injury I picked up in my lower back. David very quickly understood my injury and using various different treatments, including acupuncture, he was able to successfully treat the problem.
This wasn't the first time I have needed the assistance of David and each time I have been extremely impressed with the treatment I have received.
I would have no hesitation in recommending David and Central Health.

I had a knee injury when I played football. I saw a couple of physio but they could not find a way to solve my issue. Within the first 10 minutes of our appointment, David found my issue and gave me a 3 month plan to solve it.
The great thing as well is that he is doing supervised gym sessions on Fridays mornings to strenghten you knee and build your confidence back.
David was working at a physio at Arsenal FC so he clearly can help for any sport related injury especially football. I would truly recommend him !
M. E.
Following a bike accident I was referred to Central Health Physiotherapy for treatment of my shoulder and hand injuries. I was treated by Shefali who was excellent and did a great job in fixing me and getting me back to fitness. I would have no hesitation in using them again and recommending Shefali.
L. H.
I had never been to physiotherapy before and was a little anxious about what would happen. I was treated by Shefali and she put me at ease instantly. I feel as though she assessed me fully and really understood my injury and treatment required. I also trusted in her suggestions and the length of treatment required. I would highly recommend both Central Health and Shefali personally.
E. C.
I've had a lot of running related injuries that were stopping me from training as much as I wanted. Shefali has been able to identify the problems and has given me a number of exercises which have helped immensely - I am now able to get the mileage in that I need for a successful marathon and have never felt stronger.
Shefali is very capable and professional - every visit has been a positive experience that has been both informative and enjoyable.
A. B.
I went to see Shefali with pain in my left shoulder. She has improved it very quickly and as well as providing great treatment has been very helpful in giving me exercises which I can easily accommodate within my working day. She also turns out to be an authority on places to go out in London! Now I'm better I'll have to rely on Time Out which won't be nearly as good.

Brilliant massage from Tatjana Tranchina Finding all my muscle knots and chasing therm away

I suffered a fall from my horse recently, and ended up with whiplash, cracked ribs and a badly bruised pelvis. Jamie was instrumental in helping me recover as quickly as possible, but more importantly making sure I recovered fully and with a full range of movement. I can't recommend him and the whole of the Central Health Physio team enough: they all know their stuff, of course, but also understand how recovery for people involved in active sports needs to work.

I have been coming to Central Health at Chancery Lane off and on for many years now with a variety of muskolarskeletal issues. I am 50 now and they rack up over the years! Although the physiotherapists have changed over the years, the standard of care has been consistently excellent. I am currently seeing Jamie Lee who has helped me a huge amount. My insurers changed their policy a few years ago and wanted me to use another practice on their panel earlier this year, which was cheaper. I did use this practice for a few weeks because it was closer to my office and I thought I would keep an open-mind. I then pleaded with my insurers to come back to Jamie at Central Health. Why do I like and recommend Central Health? They know you. You are not a number. They do not faff around and get straight into hands-on care and therapy. They are plain-speaking. They are organised, friendly, professional and efficient whilst retaining old school manners. Basically I trust them. They might not be the cheapest practice out there but my goodness, you get what you pay for and I think in the long run, it works out cheaper. An argument I ran by my insurers. Over my many years of using Central Health, they aim to get you "fixed" and out the door without prolonging unnecessary care. Because of that approach, they get repeat business from their existing client base. They are a top quality practice. I thoroughly recommend Jamie. As well as being a really nice bloke, he just cracks on with stuff.
S. E.
I was referred to Kieran O'dea by my knee surgeon. Kieran was thorough in taking down the history of my injuries. He worked with me and gave me very clear instructions about the exercises I had to do at home in between physio visits. My injury definitely improved with his help and it has stood the test of time. It's now been a year and I was able to ski again with Kieran's exercises and guidance. I would recommend Central Health for everyone's physio needs.

I have been working with Shefali for over a year now on my neck issues that were resulting in bad headaches and chronic pain throughout my cervical and thoracic spine. I can't tell you how much she has helped me and got me to a place I am almost able to manage it on my own - when I first came to see her I didn't even know where to start to make it better and felt quite frustrated with how much the pain had taken over my life. I believe the reason I have had such successful treatment and progressed os much is Shefali's 360 degree approach to care - from helping identify factors at work, in personal life and physically that were contributing to my pain. Her holistic treatment plan + high energy + wonderful disposition has got me to such a better place and I am forever grateful! Even when I finish my treatments with her I will take all that she has taught me and I am confident that I won't end up in the position I was in when I entered her door - all because of her!
O. P.
Top notch treatment from the very knowledgeable David Wales. I broke my leg last year and after two operations required regular physio. I was pleased to find that Central Health could provide such expertise with David having rehabilitated professional footballers from the same injury. Highly recommended

I have found all the physiotherapists at Central Health knowledgable, supportive and helpful. The receptionists are friendly. Chancery Lane is well located for me and the centre clean. I have been grateful for the good availability of appointments.
My latest sessions were with Shefali who took time to find out what I wanted to achieve from the sessions and appreciated that I could not always do all of the exercises and prepared a flexible plan for me where I could prioritise exercises according to the time I had.
E. P.
I go to Chancery Lane for massages, usually to help with back pain. They are brilliant. Everyone is friendly and efficient at the front desk, and Lizzie is absolutely wonderful: an excellent masseuse who always gives me useful, practical tips on exercises that I can do myself. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

I found Central Health to be unrivalled in helping me to manage severe and sustained back pain following a prolapsed disc, which caused ongoing and intensifying pain for more than two years. I had previously been referred to two other physiotherapist practices, both of whom had failed to make any progress with my pain management. My therapist at Central Health was Kieran O'Dea, who I returned to several times, having found the treatment he provided to be the most effective, as well as being impressed with the highly professional manner in which he worked. Kieran took the time to listen carefully to my symptoms, making thorough notes and continuing to probe for really specific detail relating to my pain, as well as further acting upon improvements at each stage. Kieran was astute in recognising when he could encourage me to push myself further, which in turn gave me the confidence to persist with a specific pain management regime and the conviction that irreversible spine damage can be greatly improved with the right sort of physiotherapy and expert guidance. I would have no hesitation in using Central Health again or in recommending them to others.
K. S.
Central Health team is amazing, I keep recommending them! Special thanks go to Shefali and Paul, they have been supporting me all the way through my rehabilitation after ACL injury and surgical repair. They are patient, supportive, and went extra mile to tailor the physio to my lifestyle and goals.
K. F.
My physio David O'Neil was excellent. I was having some pain after a historic hip operation and he really helped me with both the pain and my posture. I've not had any issues since I have seen David and the exercises he's taught me have helped immensely. I would highly recommend him.

I have a small piece of kneecap missing in my right knee and over 2 years ago, while playing footbal, I twisted the very same knee. I spent over 6 weeks on crutches and then was referred by a consultant to Central Health for some physio.
Within the next 10 weeks David put me back on doing everyday activities and now riding a bike, swimming and diving.
Currently I am attending classes which help me stabilize the knee and help to build the muscles around it.
I would really recommend them as they helped me a lot.
A. L.
I was recommended to Natasha Price for physiotherapy by an orthopaedic surgeon regarding a problem with my shoulder. I found the sessions with Natasha very helpful and the exercises given to me made a difference. As well as the physio side of things, I was also impressed by Natasha's humane and considerate approach towards patients. Thank you.
N. B.
Excellent service! I had a shoulder injury for a few months and wasn't able to go to the gym. Had a session with one of the consultants called Jamie. Helped with the pain and mobility immediately and then followed up by emailing me over a plan to continue the therapy on my own. 100% recommend.
C. A.
I have been to Central Health on several occasions for physiotherapy and sports massage.
They were always able to fit me in at short notice around my busy work schedule and the team are friendly and professional.
The advise and therapy given to me by Gemma Newell really did the trick and my chronic back ache and head-aches disappeared after seeing her and following her advice.
I would highly recommend Central Health to anybody and wouldn't hesitate to go back should I experience any more chronic aches and pains!

This is a review of Emily Low - I just had a half hour massage with her today on my shoulders and upper back. Thank Goodness! I feel much better now with a lot more freedom in my neck and shoulders. I definitely needed this as I've been working on computers a lot lately. She has such strong hands - so got to all the muscles that were tight. Thank you Emily!

Jamie at CH Chancery Lane worked on a lower back issue I had. He was terrific. Really systematic in his approach to isolating where the problem was emanating from and also checking for feedback on discomfort levels. Problem resolved after a few sessions. Great conversationalist too as he worked away on me.
I really liked his approach to exercises too. He gave me ones that I could do very simply, at work or home, that didn't require a lot of time or remembering complicated routines.
Top notch service all round.
S. I.
I was very concerned about my knee which had started to give me problems on long walks and particularly when on a steep descent. I am so grateful to Kate at Central Health who assessed my knee problems and with her help and some exercises performed at home, I have been able to return to walking with no further problems. I will certainly return to Central Health Physiotherapy if I have problems in the future

After a couple of months of treatment with no improvement in my hip and back issue, I was referred to Central Health Physiotherapy where I saw Shefali Desai who was brilliant and worked with me on finding the root of the problem and then treating it appropriately.
I found her to be positive and encouraging which was especially helpful as I was feeling very frustrated with the injury when I first visited CHP.
K. W.
I have been to Central Health Physio twice now. Initially with a hip problem and most recently a knee issue. Both sport/gym inflicted issues. Kieran spent the time to find out about my lifestyle and exercise regime and then took me into the gym to show me how to continue my rehab properly. I can not recommend Kieran O'Dea and Central Physio highly enough!

After a Nerve Root Block (steroid) injection for severe sciatica was wearing off, I saw Shefali for 4 sessions over about 8 weeks. Having tried physio some 20 years ago with poor results I was cynical about I what would be achieved. Shefali was very diligent in identifying what my symptoms were, then gradually developed a program of stretches, mobility and strength exercises, plus attention to posture and un-learning bad habits - all of which elevated my back and nerve pain completely before the final session. A 3-month preventative program of more dynamic exercises was the final prescription. Shefali was extremely knowledgeable, understanding, positive and encouraging throughout and provided good back-up on email between sessions. Things have clearly changed in 20 years (!) and I would highly recommend CHP.

I suffered a seemingly innocuous injury to my left foot whilst playing football in August 2013, but after 8 weeks it still wasn’t improving. I was referred to see a physio and chose Central Health based on their proximity to my office. I saw Caroline Fox for several sessions but we were both concerned it was failing to respond to any rehabilitation exercises. She referred me to see a foot specialist and it turned out I had suffered a Lisfranc dislocation and required surgery (December 2013) to screw the bones in my foot back together. Following the surgery, as Caroline had moved to Australia, I saw a different physio, David Wales, to begin the long process of rehabilitation.
The rehab started in March 2014 and over the following 6 months I saw David about 10 times. He always encouraged me, was good at answering my various questions and provided me with different exercises to perform as my foot gradually recovered. By October 2014 I was fit enough to be able to complete the Three Peaks Challenge.
I had a very positive experience with both Caroline and David and highly recommend the physiotherapists at Central Health.

I was referred to this clinic by someone in the industry and I'd been through about 10 physio's before it.
I was lucky enough to have Gemma who has been so supportive and kind. She encouraged me when I lost track and had flare ups and tried to tackle a number of things in my life that might be aggravating the conditions. She also didn't pull any punches and told me when she thought I was not doing the right thing or making a condition worse mentally.
In short I'd highly recommend this clinic. They care and that's unusual but it's so helpful.

Over the past few years I have been treated by Mr David O’Neil for a bad back, swollen leg and very painful calf. With my back after his expert treatment, I could walk and sit without pain and I had been in agony. My doctor had no idea why my leg was swollen but when I went to David he diagnosed that the trouble was coming from my knee. Then he sent me to a specialist who confirmed this. David has been dealing with it, I now have a normal leg and the pain no longer wakes me up at night. The entire Stall at Central Health are so welcoming and helpful, you miss going when you are better.

I've been training for 9 months for a white collar boxing event (yes I know, mid life crisis) and at 49 years old picked up loads of injuries, especially as the training intensified, so I have been a regular visitor to Shefali at Central Health Physiotherapy. She has been nothing short of a 'miracle worker' every time. Got me back to training as soon as possible but most importantly after a serious sprain 6 weeks out, got me into the ring on the big night. And I won ! Thank you Shefali, I could not have done it without you.
L. d. M.
David Wales provided me with first class treatment for my neck pain - his diagnostic skills were faultless and the treatment I received from him has been enormously effective. Central Health provides excellent services which have supported the treatment I have received from David, including pilates classes and work station assessments.

I was very impressed with Lucie. I have seen more physios than I care to remember but she has been really good at identifying minor problems on my road to recovery and targeting them effectively. Generally a good setup (though be aware that some of their work may send you to their Farringdon location, if location is important).

I have had brilliant care from Jamie Lee at Central Health. I cannot recommend him enough. Took the time to really understand what I needed following shoulder surgery, what I wanted I achieve and by when. Jamie worked with me in the apptmt but also gave me valuable exercises to do in between apptmts. It's been great knowing I can ask someone questions regarding my recovery who really knows and understands what I need. Thanks Jamie!

Had been working with Hayley at Central Health prior to and after keyhole surgery on my knee. Approach, knowledge, and professionalism of Hayley, along with the rest of the team was unquestionable. She was really able to help and the recovery phase after the operation was very successful. I was pushed to make sure progress was being made, but all the time ensuring that no unnecessary risk was being run as a result. Overall, a very positive experience, and would recommend Central Health and more specifically, Hayley.

I first went to Central Health in December 2010 following a road traffic accident that left me with almost no mobility, or range of movement in my right hand, arm or shoulder.
Initially, I saw Natasha Price (who heads up Central Health). It took her only a handful of sessions to realise that, in addition to the known injuries I had suffered, there I also had a problem with my axillary nerve. She recommended that I go see a neurosurgeon and get an EMG. Natasha was proved right and I had to have a further operation to repair a severed nerve that was further limiting my ability to move and rotate my arm and shoulder.
Since June 2011, I have been treated by Caroline Morrissey (nee Fox). She has been incredible. She has understood that my combination of injuries has is unique and somewhat unprecedented and she has taken that into account in treating me. She has come up with a variety of regimes which have been adapted or changed as my condition improves.
Not only is she a professional and excellent at what she does, her bedside manner is exemplary and although she pushes me to my limits frequently, she knows when an gentler session is required.
If only all physios could be like Natasha and Caroline. I have recommended their practice to family, friends and colleagues. I would never have achieved the degree of rehabilitation that I have done without their hard work and the diligence and thought that they have invested in my case and my treatment.

Only 6 days ago I was suffering from an acute lower back problem, and couldn’t put my left leg in front of my right without spasming.
Today I did a strenuous 6.5 mile walk on difficult terrain in Snowdonia.
Could never have done it without Lucie Bond’s help in just one session 6 days ago.
Strongly recommended.

I've had on-going problems and pain in my back for the last year or two. My physio, David Wales, has really helped me - with just the right combination of encouragement and challenge! His lower limb classes I think are excellent.
O. M.
Fantastic service! I had pulled a tendon in my arm from the gym and wanted to check it wasn't anything serious so rang up and was given an appointment to cone same day at lunchtime. I met Paul who diligently asked and checked my history as well as looked at the problem - gave me exercises to do and massaged the problem area. Brilliant service and I would wholeheartedly recommend Central Healtj Physio for any problems.

I have seen David O'Neil for 2 separate unrelated complaints, and have been very pleased with the treatment and outcome.
With the first issue, it was soon clear that physio was not going to sort the problem, and he referred me to a surgeon. More recently, a trapped nerve in the shoulder took some time to "fix" but David's treatment ameliorated the pain, and I am hopeful that if I follow the advice and recommended exercise, the problem will not return.

Having suffered pain in my shoulder and left arm for some time I succumbed to seeing a physio privately, but after eight sessions with no significant improvement I couldn’t help but think I was being conned in some way. I’d spent close to £1000 with this guy. A friend of mine then recommended Shefali at Central Health to me and literally within ten minutes she had diagnosed the problem and begun work that would help alleviate the pain considerably. Shefali has always been incredibly honest with me and has gone beyond the call of duty in checking in on me. I couldn’t recommend Shefali or Central Health more highly.

I was feeling a bit worse for wear after breaking my elbow snowboarding and having major surgery to put it back together. I didn't know how long it would take to get my elbow working again and exactly what the final outcome would be.
After a number of sessions with a physio following my return to the UK I was still feeling a little unsure. Someone then recommended Central Physio to me - I gave them a call and was able to See Gemma Newell the very same day.
Gemma's approach was excellent as she understood from the off that I needed some reassurance, and that I was the sort of person that needed to understand everything about my injury inside out and wanted to be able to accurately measure the results of my rehab.
With this in mind, through a series of sessions and a range of techniques, Gemma was able to get my elbow pretty much back to how it had been before the injury.
Thank you!

I have a chronic lower back problem so I've spent a lot of time getting physiotherapy for pain relief. The treatment I received at Central Health was excellent. I usually have to go for quite a few sessions before I start feeling some relief, but within 3 sessions David managed to get me back to "normal". Thanks David! Not only did he relieve me of my pain, he also helped me to correct what was causing the pain.
A. P.
Fantastic service - I booked an urgent appointment with Shefali to look at a knee injury a few days before a half marathon. She provided a first class service with excellent advice and tips which enabled me to complete my race. I would recommend Shefali and the team without any hesitation!

I've had dealings with Central Health several times over the past few years, both as manager of an in-house contract for physio services and to consult about my own aches and pains. Natasha Price runs a tight ship in a delightful way and all the physios I've consulted have been knowledgeable, skilful and fun to know. Most recently, Hayley Dalton helped me secure a diagnosis for a hip labral tear that a consultant had failed to spot and has done much to ease the symptoms. She is also a first rate Pilates teacher. Previously one of the team diagnosed the faintly bizarre condition of boxer's knuckle, which hugely impressed the orthopaedic specialist I then consulted. I can't recommend the team highly enough.

Laura Fidler is an expert therapist. I have asymmetric muscle strength in my shoulder that was causing me pain and muscle spasms for several years. Doctors had no clear solution, so they prescribed me physiotherapy. Laura had seen my problem before and knew exactly what exercises and therapy was required. I had particular success with three sessions of acupuncture from Laura, which profoundly loosened the muscles which contracted over the years.
Laura Fidler comes highly recommended, and will be the first therapist I call if I ever need treatment again.
M. N.
David "The Prince of" Wales is a terrific guy. He effectively treated my neck/shoulder/arm injury with accupuncture and manipulation. Henry St Claire is a fantastic massage therapist with very strong hands. I highly recommend Central Health Physiotherapy.
L. L.
I had been recovering from a slipped disc injury and still experiencing pain and discomfort. Paul King queried my situation and gave me a pretty comprehensive examination. I asked a lot of questions and he was gracious, clear and patient. I found that Paul is a consummate professional who was able to give guidance on posture as well as showing me exercises to get me to recovery. Thank you!

I visited Lizzie Hewitt for a sports massage both before a half marathon and then before the London Marathon - there is no doubt she helped enormously with the 2 races! I also visited her after the LM, which then allowed me to walk again.... I can recommend Lizzie and Central Health very highly - she was very soothing and professional.

I have been treated by Gemma Newell several times over the last couple of years for aches and pains associated with sitting at a desk for hours on end in my profession as a lawyer for over 20 years. I cannot recommend Gemma highly enough. She is professional, thorough, extremely capable, quick and effective. We also have a nice chat as she weaves her magic. I never feel ripped off either. Gemma pinpoints the source of the pain quickly, fixes me and sends me on my way until I return, generally about a year later because I have not undertaken the lifestyle changes that she has recommended. Gemma does not seem to prolong the treatment unnecessarily, like some physiotherapists I have seen. I have therefore returned to see her, frequently bypassing my doctor. She has not failed me yet.
On a more general level, the treatment rooms at Central Health are clean, functional and the staff are friendly and also very professional. I would recommend the Chancery Lane branch of Central Health to anyone but particularly to people with busy lives.
A. B.
I went for a sports massage with Lizzie, due to my tight shoulders. It was fascinating to learn that other parts of my body were causing it. Lizzie's advice was very straightforward and easy to follow. I would definitely recommend her..

Attentive, targeted physiotherapy. My physiotherapist (David Wales) has been great. His holistic approach has helped me bring an incredibly unstable shoulder (dislocating 15+ per year) under control by not only trying to find a cause but look at all aspects of my life and potential contributing factors. Subsequently they developed a progressive programme with day to day postural adjustments to rehabilitate my shoulder and increase it's stability. The issues i have with my shoulder injury is something i'll have to maintain for the rest of my life but with the treatment and knowledge i've received from David and Central Health I'm in a good place to keep my injury under control for the future. Highly recommended.
I. H.
Highly recommended - knowledgable, professional and friendly.
I do muay thai, run and play football. I had a recurring achilles tendon injury for nearly two years. Over the course of 4-5 sessions, Shafali helped me identify my own areas of strength and weakness, and better understand how they might impact my achilles. Small changes in biomechanics, targeted stretching and strengthening exercises have resulted in 6 months without a recurrence - a very encouraging result - thanks Shafali and Central Health.
S. F.
I went to Central Health for a shoulder problem. My physiotherapist was Shefali Desai. She is very knowledgeable and professional. She immediately identified what the problem was (her original diagnosis was later confirmed by an MRI scan), and her rehabilitation programme helped me regain full functionality very quickly.
E. W.
Jenny Sharpe was brilliant for a ballet related calf injury. She didn't just help me rehabilitate, she gave me ways to avoid further injury in the future (which I am still using). She was also incredibly reassuring (very important!).
R. R.
Central Health Physiotherapy carried out an ergonomics assessment of our office in August/September 15. We found the service to be excellent, very professional and friendly all the way through from initial contact, to the visit from Faye Peck and subsequent communications and recommendations.
Would highly recommend to anyone considering their services.
D. W.
The Chancery Lane set up is very smart and professional and a very handy location. The reception staff are also great and very helpful. David Wales has really helped with my knee injuries and I've seen a great improvement in the last few months and I’m hoping that this is a long term solution. Overall, a very good service that I would recommend.
G. G.
I went to Central Health with pain in my neck and shoulder. The physiotherapist, Jamie Lee, gave me advice on changes to my posture at work and exercises to do at home. After 6 appointments i have noticed a significant improvement in the pain and range of movement in my neck. Would certainly recommend.

I came to Central Health after injuring my bicep muscle, which was later diagnosed by Shefali as a tear to it. The support and help she gave me over a series of sessions was first class, total professionalism.
I would highly recommend both Shefali and Central Health to anyone seeking a physio and working in The City.

I came in 2 weeks before I was due to run the Dublin Marathon with some serious knee pain, just walking was painful. Gemma Newell was amazing! So caring and friendly, she helped with sports massage, exercises and taping to get me back to race fitness in just 2 weeks and only 2 sessions! Even joking that I didn't give her much to work with in such a small time-frame! But it worked. Smashed my target for the marathon and my knee still feels better now (after the marathon) than it did before I walked into Central Health. And even more importantly Gemma explained why it happened and how I can avoid it in the future. A very happy runner indeed, cannot thank Gemma enough!
K. W.
Jason is a fantastic physiotherapist, and also something of an expert living-with-hEDS/HSD life coach/mentor/counsellor. He has gone above and beyond to look after every part of me, planning out not only a very careful programme of physio to manage rehabilitation and retraining my boom&bust tendencies, while looking out for my well-being in all aspects of life. I still have a long road ahead of me but Jason has made me believe and trust that I will get there. I have to travel for 2 hours each way to see him, and he is absolutely worth the effort.

I ran my first marathon last weekend and could not have managed it without Caroline Fox's expertise.
I had hurt my foot late into my training, just as I was needing to complete those long training runs (16 miles plus). Through a combination of sports massage and dedicated exercises, Caroline's advice was amazing in ensuring I was able to complete the run, developing what she dubbed the "accelerated programme". The programme took me from not being able to run just 6 weeks before the marathon to completing the 26.2 miles on the day!
Thanks Caroline - couldn't have done it without you.

The muscles in my back and neck were very tight and I was in a lot of pain with muscle spasms due to a neck injury. I had very limited movement of my neck and shoulders. After seeing Kieran O'Dea I can happily say that I am back to normal and have no pain with any movement. I'm even back at the gym with guidance from Kieran as to what workouts are best for me. Keiran worked on me for just over a month and I'm amazed at how quickly I got back to being me! I highly recommend Keiran to anyone needing physio, he works wonders! Thank you again.

I went to see Gemma with terrible back and sciatic pain after I had been kayaking, that meant I couldn't walk for more than a couple of hundred yards without stopping.
Gemma couldn't have been more helpful; she was kind and understanding as well as knowing exactly what to do. Her treatment had me up and walking/running comfortably again, and I can't thank her enough.
Gemma has experience of lots of different types of therapy and she is good at explaining what treatment is appropriate and why. She is also very understanding of your job/life situation and how best to fit treatment round that.
I have already recommended Gemma and Central Health to friends and colleagues, and wouldn't hesitate to do so to you. The staff at the clinic are helpful and cheerful - it is not impossible to get an appointment, and the clinic always runs on time. Excellent all round.

I attended Central Health clinic eight times to help remobilise my forearm, which I broke in two places. My recovery was marvelous and a lot of it was due to the expert advise I received at Central Health.
I can't reccomend this clinic more highly. I was seen by Hayley Dalton, who gave me excellent advice, was very personable and responded to my queries in between sessions. I can't reccomend this clinic and its professional staff highly enough.
If I ever need physiotheraphy again I will definitely attend this clinic.
Best wishes,
Riku

This is a review for Lizzie Hewitt:
Not only does Lizzie treat physical problems; I always leave after a massage feeling de-stressed, relaxed and optimistic. After only a couple of sessions I felt a noticeable difference in the tension in my body, and also well educated in what I could do at home to prevent the problems from coming back. Whether or not you have a specific problem to target, I'd say there's always an hour to spare to let Lizzie work her magic.

I started with CHP around February because of a serious slipped disc situation. Kate Jupe was whom I was referred to by my doctor and honestly it was so amazing to see that she wasn't scared to change the plans or the system we were using the moment I expressed some discomfort/boredom or if she felt it was necessary. In the past i have had experiences where there is one plan that must be followed no matter what - but with Kate I learned that the 'plan' had to fit me and my situation specifically: she was always attentive and smart, and arranged everything beautifully.
In her care I saw real improvement, up to the last moment - and not only physically, our chats during each session were always related to real-life issues, and Kate always pushed me to do better for me, in all aspects of my life. Overall I can only express my gratefulness! Go team Kate :)

Shefali has led Pilates classes for our office for over a year and a half. I cycle alot and have found the classes invaluable giving me a chance to step back and listen to my body, understand my imbalances and weaknesses and building up my core strength and spinal flexibility, with a mix of Pilates & Yoga. The classes are a highlight to my week, suitable for any level.

I've used Central Health physios a couple of times over the years, but this time Shefali Desai was a real life (or at least work) saver. I had been immobile and sick with pain all weekend, so was relieved they could fit me in on the Monday. Shefali was really thorough in understanding what the issues were and all the related cranky bits. I was off the painkillers completely by the next day, and with two follow-up visits am up to speed on ways to strengthen the problem areas so it needn't happen again. All that and a lovely, personable person too.
D. P.
I found out about CHP online with no background information and going in, I didn't know what to expect. Once I got there, the service was amazing! I was referred to Shefali, who is great at what she does. By the end of the 1st 1h session, she had not only identified what was actually wrong with me (when my doctor had told me something else), but told me other things about my body that I hadn't known about! Within a week, I was already off my crutch.
Her words of encouragement about my progress and the way she explained everything so that I understood what was going on at all times was beyond helpful.
L. R.
Shefali has been helping me on and off for the last six months. She has been absolutely brilliant. She really took the time to understand my problems and explained why she was giving me different exercises and how they would help. On top of that she is so lovely and friendly and made me feel completely at ease. I feel so much stronger and happier. Thanks so much!
R. D.
I've just had a very good session at the Chancery Lane practice. The treatment I received was very friendly, helpful and professional. They identified and explained the problems I'm having very clearly. The treatment helped straight away and they followed up via email within the hour with detailed exercises to help fix the problem. I'll definitely go back their if I have any other problems.
r. B.
Great care and expertise from Shefali. The approach was both highly professional and very friendly, quickly getting to the route of the problem and providing a schedule of treatment that has proved to be successful. Shefali linked up with my Consultant ensuring that the treatment was 100% appropriate, and generally went above and beyond, including following up with detailed exercise instructions by email.
L. B.
After being approached by one of the lovely reps from Chancery Lane when she saw how I couldn't turn my head to cross the road I had the absolute pleasure of working with Shefali.
I'm confident in the knowledge that I have the tools to strengthen and keep this problem at bay. Shefali is incredibly professional and a her passion and expertise in her field are undeniable.
Aside from the pragmatic help, Shefali has a really lovely demeanour. She really puts you at ease and has a genuine interest in you as an individual. I would recommend her and Central Health to everyone!

I went to see Stefali after doing something to my back last week and ending up in severe pain. In the morning I could barely move, I saw her in the afternoon and in the evening I was able to attend a dance class almost without feeling any discomfort. I do not know what she did, but the improvement was miraculous. Stefali also seemed able to understand what I had done quite quickly after only a few questions and explained it all to me in a helpful way. Her manner was also warm and friendly, which made the whole thing enjoyable, despite the pain. I would recommend the practice, and Stefali in particular, to anyone with muscular problems.
N. H.
I received treatment for some ligament damage to my ankle from Kieran O'Dea. He resolved the issue in no time at all and I was back playing football after a couple of visits. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him and Central Health Physiotherapy to anyone.
J. F.
I have utilised the services of Central Health frequently over the past 10 years. All the team are good and show a lot of interest and provide support.
My last group of sessions was with Katriona who worked with me to ensure a very good outcome.
C. S.
In one session, Lucie Bond managed to exactly diagnose what 4 GP's, 2 other physiotherapists, and numerous other medical professionals had not came close to spotting, across almost 2 years of appointments. I don't know how to write a better review for her, and Central Health in general.
J. N.
I suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon and was recommended Central Health by a colleague. They were extremely professional and provided me with all the advice and treatment that was needed. As a result of David Wales' treatment I am about to undertake my first triathlon.
G. H.
Excellent! After a serious shoulder injury and operation I was referred to Central Health Physio, being treated by Jamie Lee. Thanks to his advice and treatments I recovered way more swiftly than I (and the operating surgeon) had expected.
N. C.
I injured an elbow when doing some housework. Jamie at Central Health was very helpful in dealing with the pain by massaging the arm and elbow joint and also showing some exercises to do at home to speed up the recovery - a few sessions and regular home work and no more pain. Thanks, Jamie!
I. S.
Excellent experience all round. Kieran sorted a number of muscular and joint issues for me, with complete mastery of his subject, patience and good humour. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and Central Health Physio.
J. I.
I consider myself fortunate to have found a physiotherapist who specialises in vestibular physiotherapy. Hayley Dalton is highly skilled and professional, and I have always found her concerned and supportive. I can recommend her services without reservation.
C. J.
I visited David Wales after searching for football specific physio's within the London area. I had torn my left calf muscle and was hoping to get some help with that and also with my long standing calf problems.
David was excellent throughout. He was very specific on what I should do to help with my injury but was also really keen to get to the bottom of my calf problems. He recommend I see a specific sports specialist, I did, who then referred me to a vascular specialist and a problem I have had for 10 years had finally been diagnosed. Although the diagnosis is not great news for me (PAES) it's a relief to finally be diagnosed and not feel like a hypochondriac everytime I got back to a doctors or physios.
He's given me some great info since being diagnosed, put me on a specific program in a bid to manage my symptoms and has also given me some great pre-game diet advice.
It's rare to find a physio that is actually interested in getting to the root of a problem (trust me i've seen enough over the years) and not just providing you with a quick fix just to get you out the door and the money out of your pocket.
Can't recommend these chaps enough, like I say, especially David.
Many thanks
Chris Jose

I had a consultation with Paul King in the run up to a marathon (excuse the pun).
Paul gave me a very comprehensive running "MOT". We agreed a training regime that suits my schedule. Paul recommended some stretches to relieve my injury. We discussed what to eat during running [glucose] and what to drink after running chocolate milk!]. From a video analysis of my running style on the treadmill, Paul gave me tips on running more efficiently. Finally we looked at exercises to improve my strength & pace.
All the staff were friendly, professional and hugely knowledgeable. I left the clinic with a spring in my step.
A. E.
I have been seeing Kate for a few years after she was specially recommended my rheumatologist. She has been extremely important in helping me cope with ankylosing spondylitis by giving me tailored exercises depending on how I have been responding to previous treatment and personal circumstances (incl. pregnancy). I would highly recommend Kate for her specialist knowledge for anyone else suffering with AS.
D. C.
Having being diagnosed with snapping scapular syndrome my right arm was borderline useless... That is until David Wales from Central Health Physiotherapy fixed me!
Each session was really helpful to my recovery and now I can once again participate in sports and lead an active life! Thank you David.

Gemma Newell did a great job!
I had a trapped nerve which was giving me excruciating pain down the left side of my body. I also lost feeling in my left hand and the movements of my little finger and thumb on that hand were severely curtailed.
Gemma gave me intelligent and firm advice and guidance. She was spot on with the work she did with me such that after about 6 or 7 visits my nerve no longer troubled me. I'm now no longer experiencing pain, all the feeling has returned to my left hand and the movement of my little finger and thumb is almost back to normal.
Gemma has a really nice manner about her and was very diligent in letting me know when she thought I no longer required any more sessions with her. Physiotherapy is not cheap, so I appreciated her not pushing sessions onto me when she thought she had helped sufficiently.
Gemma is fantastic, and I highly recommend her abilities, experience, knowledge, and helpful approach to anyone needing an excellent physiotherapist.
D. R.
I've been going to Central Health for a number of years now, and been seen by different specialists. This is the first time I have been seen by Shefali. One thing that you notice is the consistent approach and level of service, whoever treats you. It is always a rigorous investigation with a courteous manner, and the diagnoses and treatment are always spot on. Shefali was no different, and she's top of my list to call when I next need them.

I would Like To thank Jason at St Johns and St Elizabeth,, who has helped me reduce dislocations down by 50% and managed my EDS better, and helped me get home when i had a double dislocation before the appointment i could barely walk when i went to the appointment, he checked was all back in place, and got me home safely, central health has a superb level of quality of care well done. a well deserved brownie point.
A. F.
I went to see Harinee with shin pain about 7 weeks before a marathon. She was very practical and gave me progressive exercises to fit in with my usual training, which got me from not being able to run to completing the marathon in my goal time in 7 weeks! Thank you.
A. C.
I have used CHP on and off for a fair few years now. Why? They're just really good and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Lovely team, professional and they always manage to get me back in shape. Most recently I had a few sessions with Katriona Ryan to fix a damaged shoulder and she's just brilliant. Also highly recommend their pilates classes too.
P. R.
I go to Central Health for Pilates and really rate it. It's not as well branded or trendy as other places but it's run by great physios who know what they're talking about. Friendly and very instructive! I can feel myself becoming stronger and more stable
J. v. N.
Extremely thorough and holistic approach - Gemma not only focused on the physical symptoms of what i was going through, but explained in detail how it was caused in the first place and how to avoid it in future. I would definitely recommend this practice and Gemma in particular to anyone who needs a physio in a really convenient location if you work in the area!
T. G.
Katriona did a brilliant job on a persistent lower back problem, which had become so bad that I couldn't even get a proper night's sleep. She worked out what was causing the issue, gave me some simple but effective exercises, and successfully used acupuncture (to my astonishment) to fix the problem.
T. K.
I cannot thank Kieran enough for getting me to and through the London Marathon this year. Six weeks before the race both knees gave up the ghost. I was convinced that I would not be able to run. Kieran assessed me, explained what was wrong, reassured me that there was no structural/permanent damage, and worked with me on a plan to get me to the start line. This involved lots of therapy and very little running (other than on non-impact machines) and was utterly terrifying as a result given the 26 miles ahead! But it worked! He was nothing but practical and positive throughout and it made all the difference.
J. W.
I saw Paul K from Central Health physio for a pinched cervical nerve and was impressed with his level of service. I asked many questions about my symptoms and he demonstrated patience and knowledge with thorough answers. Thanks again.
I. P.
I had never been to a physio before and Shefali at CHP was fabulous. She really helped me with a back injury and (unfortunately) an injured shoulder. I would highly recommend the team at Central Health.
L. A. C.
Having physiotherapy, acupuncture and massage for my very tight back with Kieran has helped me immensely. I am able to get though the day with no pain and doing my exercise keeps the problem from coming back.
E. S.
I had a very successful consultation and rehabilitation programme with David Wales. A recurrent ankle issue which suffered a trauma was dealt with thoroughly. I wouldn't hesitate to go back though I hope it's not too soon!
M. E.
I visited Gemma Newell for help with a twisted ankle. She was very knowledgable and professional, as were her colleagues that I visited a few years ago. I highly recommend Central Health to anyone looking for a physio.
R. F.
Having been to a few physios in my time I can confidently say this is one of the better ones. It's also reasonably priced for central london. The service is friendly and the staff are very experienced. I won't hesitate to book again in the future.
D. S.
I am very positive about my experience at Chancery Lane Central Health Clinic. The support and advice I received was invaluable. Jamie Lee- you're a star, thank you so much for ensuring I made a full recovery.
O. V.
I went to a branch at Chancery Lane. You can expect good facilities, lovely staff and a very professional assistance! I am very grateful to Jamie, who fixed my knee. Highly recommended!
L. B.
I saw Emma Brown for a shoulder impingement. She was very reassuring and calm and really soothed my nerves and gave me confidence I would get better soon. And with her guidance and encouragement, I did!
E. K.
Paul King treated me to help me get back to running after a foot operation. He was fantastic - very knowledgable and he worked me hard.. we had a set goal and we worked at it until we achieved it. He also had a very positive attitude and really motivated me. Thanks so much!
A. C.
I go to Central Health for massages to help treat mainly lower back pain. The staff there are excellent and are very good during the treatment and also in providing advice and practical methods to resolve my back issue as well as other problems.
K. L.
I've been going to this physio for several months now for a problem with my lower back. It's an excellent team of professionals and my physio was very knowledgable and helpful. Overall, I would recommend it to anyone looking for an accurate assessment and personalized treatment.
J. L.
Excellent service, David was a great therapist and helped me to quickly sort out a troublesome shoulder. Not only that but it was easy to get an appointment at fairly short notice. Keep up the good work!
l. p.
I saw Jamie at central health and thought he was excellent. He was thorough, efficient and helpful. He saw me on time and used the hour really effectively. Luckily I only needed one appointment but I would definitely go back to him.
A. G.
Great service! The therapist David Wales was really informative and helped me with my back problem. Would definitely recommend.
Came second time wiht another back problem and had sessions with Shefali Desai who was also amazing. Hopefully won't have any more back problems but if I do I'm coming back here again. Great service!
H. K.
My experience of Central Health was very good. David Wales was very thorough in my treatment and explained everything to me clearly. I would highly recommend Central Health for any physiotherapy needs.
A. J.
I have had a very good experience with this company. I felt as if they diagnosed me quickly; felt comfortable with Jenny and the treatment and exercises later, I hope i can soo run again. Jennt is very chatty but professional and caring. I'm happy to recommend them!
E. C.
I had treatment with David Wales for chronic pain in my hands and arms. As well as effective treatment, he also gave me great advice for how to set up my workstation and drawing board to prevent the issues recurring.
J. H.
