Following a high degree ankle sprain, I started my treatment with Jonathan Scott, who has been an absolute saviour. His knowledge and great patient care have really made this long recovery much more bearable and actually enjoyable as I was quickly regaining strength in my ankle. He always explained everything clearly, from what's been injured and how, to showing all the exercises, meanwhile also giving a lot of useful tips about other aspects of recovery. I've also really enjoyed using the app they have for the treatments, so doing physio became a daily routine which I surprisingly enjoyed. Cannot thank Jonathan enough! The reception staff have also been so lovely and welcoming. If I ever need physio again, I'm not going anywhere else :)

A very professional operation. I went following a ‘new knee’ operation. I should clearly mention that Jade has changed my life , after feeling disappointed and frustrated, suffering from the "Frozen shoulder" pain and not even being able to put on my Jacket to another level of being able again to go to the GYM and going back to my normal life.

Had an amazing experience at Chiswick Physio - just finished the London marathon Sunday thanks to the great work! I initially came in here with knee pain with about 7/8 weeks of training left and very scared as I was running on behalf of a charity and did not want to let them down. I have seen Nathan for various aches and pains over the years. Diagnosis, diagnosis, advice and follow up have always been excellent which invariably sorts the problem out. He is always willing to pick up the phone to my personal trainer to ensure that they work in harmony to sort out any problem. Most recently, I had a knee problem which had been painful for weeks and was getting worse. I was soon on the mend once I had seen Nathan and began the planned exercises and associated advice. I've been here for two different injuries - once in 2016 after years of shin splints and once in 2021 after prolonged pain following an ankle sprain. Both times helped me immensely and I received fantastic treatment.

Nathan and Jonno are both super knowledgeable, friendly, easy-going, organised physios. the advice and treatment I received really helped me to reduce the pain and gain strength in my lower legs.
Programme:
the use of the PhysiApp app was excellent for seeing how to perform the exercises, and tracking my adherence to the programme. My recent sessions with Jonno were very helpful - gait analysis, exercise demonstrations, personalised advice designed to fit around my lifestyle. He was a great listener and tweaked the program every session to adjust to how my body was responding to the exercises.
General Experience:
The staff are very friendly and helpful - Gill at reception was very organised and easy to talk to. The location is very accessible - a few minutes from Turnham Green Station - and the site feels very clean and calming.

I continue to be very impressed with the treatment I receive from Chiswick-Physio, I have been a client for several years now. I aggravated my shoulder recently while swimming and Jonno quickly diagnosed the cause of the issue and came up with a plan to allow the irritation to settle down and avoid a reoccurrence. I play hockey at Richmond Renegades, who play in the London Over 40's league 2. In the middle of June, I had to admit that an injury I had tried to live with (and not successfully) over the previous three weekends needed treatment. It was particularly important that I was fit to play for the South in the Regional Hockey Masters Tournament in Wakefield at the end of July - as being fit and doing well there would (I hoped) enable me to take part in the final trial for England "Masters" the weekend after, with selection to play in the Home Internationals Tournament in Nottingham on 14th-16th August (where we would play Wales, Scotland & Ireland) being the ultimate goal. Having seen Nathan at Chiswick Physio last year, I contacted him again in mid-June and we agreed a pretty intense stretching and strengthening regime for the first couple of weeks, increasing the intensity and regularity of the both types of exercises in the next two weeks, including some anaerobic activities, and - in the week before the Wakefield Tournament - some gentle running..., and then rest. And it worked - brilliantly. The South won the Regional Tournament (winning vs. West, East Midlands and North), and I stayed fit throughout and played well. I attended the trial and was selected to play for England in Nottingham, where we won all three matches... It was hard work but I knew I needed to stick with the regime Nathan recommended (some exercises were repeated three times a day), and I am - of course - very pleased with the outcome!!!

Nathan has treated me for running injuries at various times over the past five years and always gets me to point where I can return to the sport I love. The last time saw him (with a broken leg and locked ankle as a result of being in plaster) he introduced me to his new employee, Jake. Initially I was unsure as I’d always trusted Nathan and didn’t want to see someone new, I worried for nothing.. Whilst Nathan had got me walking etc, Jake took over the aftercare and rehab to re build strength and increase movement, providing structured sessions in the gym and giving me feedback and exercises to do between visits. Nathan is by miles the best physio I've ever come across -- and my mum was a physio so I should know. I was in extreme pain and fairly immobile a couple of years ago when a complete stranger saw that I was suffering and insisted I consult Nathan. Amazingly he got rid of all the pain and got me back on my feet very quickly. Since then I've been to him with various things and recently he brilliantly diagnosed a neck compression which had been mysteriously giving me headaches for about a year. He diagnosed and fixed the problem expertly and pretty much immediately. He's also great at pain prevention, teaching effective measures to stop it happening again. I recommend him to all my friends now because there's nothing he can't fix. He's also a great bloke and fun to be with. I always come out of sessions feeling great.

Make no mistake - a knee replacement is a major operation and you need the best people in support to help you with preparation and recovery. My surgeon was excellent and I chose my physio, Nathan Carter, because he recommended him. It was a good choice. Nathan is very knowledgeable about the procedure having observed the operation at close quarters in the operating theatre, and I found his guidance and treatment invaluable. I continued drawing on his expertise throughout much of lockdown on WhatsApp which proved beneficial to my recovery.

Jonno at chiswick physio has been helping me with an injury, and he's been really helpful and I've made great progress and I'm not in pain anymore. The exercises he's set make sense, and the app helps with accountability and also gives the option to update on progress between sessions.
I was hesitant to see someone in person due to covid, but I needn't have worried. The studio has precautions in place and it feels really safe.

I have been running for over 15 years and got myself injured a couple of time. Throughout this time I saw of 5-6 physios but Nathan is the best, without a doubt.
In June last year I was running 35-45km / week as preparation for a marathon. I started experiencing tightness in my hips and later pain the knees. I saw a local physio who diagnosed this as ITB tightness and recommended foam rolling. Unfortunately things got worse and then I saw Nathan who was recommended by a friend. Nathan diagnosed immediately diagnosed me gluteal tendinopathy with potential bursitis. Both were later confirmed by an MRI scan.
Nathan put together a plan of exercises to strengthen my glutes and was happy to work with my PT to make sure we follow the recovery plan. The recovery was long but I am slowly back to running and just did run 21k with no pain.
I would not see another physiotherapist even though I get physio sessions for free though work. I would rather pay Nathan than see someone else for free.

Nathan is an expert physio when it comes to sports injures and he will help resolve the problem and get you back to training and competition. He diagnosed my knee injury initially over a Zoom call during lockdown and then with an in person follow up when that was possible. I’ve been training hard for an IM, and he essentially prevented an injury from destroying my season. We caught the issue early, and he helped me correct the problem and stay fit for training. Nathan is awesome! I started seeing him post lockdown for a neck pain. Since day 1, he and his team have taken an extra cautious approach to seeing patients under Covid19. It was very reassuring (and still is!) that hygiene and patient safety is of utmost importance to them. He's done miracle work with my neck too! The neck had improved loads just after a few sessions. He's suggested exercises, with demonstrations and also took video of myself doing them so I don't forget. He's also great at explaining the biomechanics (I like to know why pain/muscle works) and very generous with his time when answering my many questions and explaining things. All and all, a great physio practice - professional, clean, safe, reliable, friendly, caring! He is now my go-to physio and I definitely will refer him to anyone who's looking for a great physio.

Jake's support had me back to my regular fitness regime in super-fast time. I had broken my ankle and when I was discharged from hospital it was still sore, weak & swollen from the break & pinning operation. I have seen Nathan for various foot/leg issues over the years, but most recently tendinopathy. He is a really excellent physio: positive, thorough and realistic about recovery timeframe. It's definitely not a 'one plan for all', it's a personal approach geared to what you actually need, how your body moves and what will get you back to full fitness in a speedy but safe way, with a view to maintaining this improvement long-term. He is so good that I have referred two people to him so far and would recommend him to anyone else in need.

Nathan has provided fantastic support for me during training for my Ironman events through both biomechanics assessments and support through injury (totally caused by me). I had the misfortune of picking up a hip injury a week before the Covid 19 lock down and was unable to see Nathan in person but via a video session and through referencing back to my biomechanics assessment Nathan was able to quick identify the issue and build a plan of recovery movements for me. During this process Nathan uncovered a flaw in my running form that we have now worked on to correct, thus ensuring I'm well positioned to prevent further injury. One of the key reason that I'll be continuing to work closely with Nathan is that he works closely with my Triathlon coach to ensure my overall training programme is perfectly aligned to my injury recovery. By doing this we've been able to get back on track as quickly as possible and we've ensured there is no relapse in progression. I also love Nathan's practical, down to earth approach to working through an injury and his focus on getting you back to training without further injury.

After a awful 3rd pregnancy due to
Prolapsed discs in my back and a slow postnatal recovery I went to see Jade as she had been recommended to me as I was 15 weeks in my 4th pregnancy. She is professional and so knowledgable about women’s health physio and the link this has with my previous back issues and now pregnancy again.
I had weekly and then 2 weekly sessions with Jade for release work and Pilates exercises. It is through the help of Jade that I stayed well throughout my pregnancy from the strengthening exercises and constants reminders of the importance of my pelvic floor exercises.
I will forever be grateful to Jade that at 37 weeks ok out walking with 3 small children every day and feel so well.
I will be going back to see Jade for my 6 week postnatal check up and to start my exercises again once recovered from c/s.

I was reluctant to continue treatment virtually for my hamstring injury as I am used to having physio treatment in a typical ‘hands-on’, 1 to 1 environment. However, I gave it a shot as needs-must!
I have to say the online-session ran almost exactly the same as a normal physio session.. With a bit of camera maneuvering on both ends, Jade was able to advise me on the next progression on my exercises by first demonstrating, and then commenting on my technique when I tried to replicate the exercises.
After feeling that my rehab would stagnate with the current lockdown, I now feel happy that I can continue to improve with Jade’s online physio service. Many thanks.

He managed to manipulate it to release the tension and then recommended exercises, using an app which worked very well. The app allows you to access videos and contact the physio with any questions. Hi 18 months ago i met Nathan with a severely fractured T12 hardly able to walk and in great pain and distress .

I was recommended to see Nathan as I'd had issues with disc bulges in my lower back which required 2 steroid injections. Nathan Carter is super fit and healthy, which is relevant because it colours his vision of physiotherapy, which is, quite uniquely. to get his patients 100% back to their previous level of fitness, pre injury.

Having suffered an acute gym- related back injury, I contacted the Chiswick physio for advice. I had an initial session to diagnose the injury and felt that through various tests and specific diagnostic questions the physio was able to ascertain my problem correctly and gave me initial advice on how to manage the acute stage. I have since had three online sessions where Jade checks my progress, demonstrates and watches my exercises, and builds on the previous weeks, just as she would were I in the clinic. I was unsure as to whether this would work, but it really is. I have an app on my phone onto which she adds my exercises, and there is no danger of forgetting them or how to do them (a problem in the past!). She is at the other end of the phone or email if I have any questions, and I feel totally supported, even without the hand-on intervention, which I genuinely have not missed. It is also very time-efficient.

Went to Nathan on the recommendation of a workmate. I had a diagnosed tendon issue in my wrist, most probably caused by a combination of work related RSI as well as being a keen Tennis player.
The thing I like most about his approach is that he's not wanting to have you come back every week when you don't really need to. He sends you away with strengthening, stretching and self massage advice so you can do your own treatment.
After a few weeks of following his advice I'm back on court and playing with no pain. By far the best money I've spent in a while!

Following a Total Knee Replacement (TKR) I wasn't progressing as I should have been and the time between hospital physio appointments was too long. Jade turned out to be not just a brilliant physio and thoroughly nice person, but a bit of a TKR expert. She combined exercises, stretches and massage for maximum impact, so that, with her intensive help over two weeks, I was able to get my knee back on track and even slightly ahead of the game. I saw Nathan Carter with regards to a shoulder injury I had sustained from skiing back in the winter. Months had gone by, and it wasn’t getting back to normal. Chiswick-Physio was recommended to me from people who held a professional opinion, so it seemed like the right place to go.
In short, I should have gone there sooner. Nathan diagnosed the issue in short order, helped me improve manoeuvrability on the day and set me some exercises to continue the road back to normal. He followed up with a call 3 weeks later, to hear how things were going (all mended!).

I found Nathan by searching the internet after I'd had a bad knee for several months. I'd been diagnosed with a Baker's Cyst and Nathan explained to me more clearly than the NHS or anyone else how it develops, what it is (a symptom) and then he did movement tests on my hips and knees to see what the likely cause was. There's no doubt that he has extensive experience of problems like mine. He recommended just two exercises to begin with that aim to strengthen the muscles in my buttocks and correct the alignment of my thigh bone with my knee cap. I am working on these now. When I see Nathan with a further set of questions he answers each of them fully and clearly. He has my complete trust. I believe he is one of the best physiotherapists there is.

Now in my 70s I go to Nathan for an MoT with occasional or recurring pains for which I need physio or (often) advice on how to ease a pain or prevent it happening again.
