Reviews of Pure Sports Medicine Bank
P. I.
I have been treated by Miranda Mason for a running injury (glut medius) in Jan and Feb 2022. Miranda is terrific and understands the runners' mentality. She is very knowledgeable, friendly, supportive and goes the extra mile to get you back doing the sport you love.
I also want to add, a great reception team, I always feel welcome and find them really helpful.

Excellent service from Pure Sports Medicine, who treated my knee injury which I sustained while running. I was in the very capable hands of Charlie Goodchild - he provided a fantastic gym programme that had be back running ahead of schedule. He's an excellent physio and explained everything so well. Very grateful for the support and service received here and would definitely recommend!

Pure Sports is a fantastic facility. The reception team are delightful and always happy to help.
Rebecca has been brilliant at each step of the journey and has kept me motivated despite set backs- I’m very grateful for her expertise and dedication to helping me overcome the injury. I’d highly recommend PSM.

I have had amazing support from PSM over the last 2 years. The reception staff is always welcoming and efficient. The facilities are well designed and a pleasure to use.
Most of all, I am very grateful to Rebecca who has tirelessly helped me through a long journey of diagnosis and recovery. Thanks to her holistic, structured and supportive approach I am in a much better position than when I started and have a framework to self-manage going forward.

PSM is a fantastic organisation. I’d recommend to absolutely everyone. I have extensive experience of sports injury rehab and this is the best experience I’ve had. I would say:
1) reception friendly, comfortable, helpful and efficient
2) facilities are the best I have ever seen at a physiotherapist and rehab centre.
3) Charlie Goodchild is an excellent physiotherapist who treats AND educates to enable his patients to make informed decisions on their rehab. He also went the extra mile to accommodate my rehab requirements in his and the teams personal training time, by allowing me to train alongside them. I feel like the speed of my progress literally doubled being under his care at this facility.

This was my first ever experience seeing a physio and Manni was fantastic. He took the time to listen to me, was very good at explaining the reasoning behind things and when we started the rehab his style was supportive and encouraging. Perfect for someone who hasn't done these kind of exercises before, it really put me at ease and after a few months of consistent work, my running injury is now better! Highly recommend.

Great Physio - been working with Charlie Goodchild on my chronic ankle instability and he has been very thorough with my plan to strengthen it back up to help prevent it happening again. Very informative and has helped build up my understanding of why I have had this issue of rolling my ankle previously. Would highly recommend Charlie and Pure as a physio. Great facilities.

I went to see Manni after experiencing pain at the back of my knee when running. I received the best treatment in terms of support, building my understanding of what was going on, referral for an MRI and a comprehensive strength training plan which he adapted after each physio session. I'd highly recommend Pure spots medicine and particularly Manni, now I am running pain free.

As a disabled athlete who's working through some challenges Simon Lack has been excellent - thoughtful and empathetic, and expert yet open minded, I honestly couldn't ask for more. He's listened closely, worked with me online, swiftly helping to identify some underlying issues, and supported me to work through them at my own pace. Brilliant physio, excellent learning partner.

I injured my leg in March 2020 which meant I could barely walk let alone run, and for the past 7 months I worked with Alex Quinn in order to heal my leg and prevent future injuries. Alex has been fantastic in diagnosing the issue and providing a robust training routine that accommodated my needs (especially during quarantine), and supporting my recovery throughout. I am now back to running regularly pain free having completed my rehab and i cannot recommend Alex and PSM enough. Super friendly and supportive staff who take their time to help you as much as possible. Thank you again!

I have been experiencing hip joint dysfunction for many years having had a hip arthroscopy 9 years ago. Unfortunately I was still experiencing pain coupled with another injury and so wanted to speak to a team who could provide a more holistic approach. I could not have been happier with the level of care provided by the pure team as there has been specialised care both on the medical side from Dr noakes and the physio side from Mr Goodchild. What has most impressed me though was when I had a small set back on the recovery and went to receive a further MRI. The analysis of the injury and the treatment plan was done in a collective manner between both the medical and physio side with the results explained to me by both physicians collectively at the same time so that we had a coordinated plan. This is an approach I have not seen anywhere else. Thanks again to the team for their help

As someone who enjoys exercise, unfortunately from time to time I so suffer injuries. Pure Sports Medicine is my go to place for rehabilitation. Most recently I have been rehabilitating a knee injury caused by a loos piece of cartilage and strengthening the areas around both my knees as unfortunately I have osteoarthritis in both knees (probably from not taking care of myself when I was younger). Sean Towers treated me when I first injured myself, he referred me to Dr James Noake who diagnosed the loose cartilage and referred me for surgery. Post Op I have been working with Andrew Britton to strengthen the area around my joints so I can continue doing the things I love and delay any major surgery for as long as possible. I have been delighted with the care I have received from all the practitioners and cannot recommend this clinic highly enough.
S. K.
Charlie Goodchild is excellent and I cannot recommend him highly enough. I was referred for physio following extensive inconclusive tests by various doctors to find the cause of extreme nocturnal back pain I was experiencing during lockdown. Following a detailed and considered remote consultation, Charlie instantly recognised my pain was inflammatory rather than mechanical in nature and referred me to their Rheumatologist Dr Etherington who within a matter of weeks was able to diagnose Axial Spondyloarthritis a condition which normally takes many years to diagnose. I have since seen both Charlie and Matt Virden to manage the condition through physio and have seen a marked improvement with their expert help. I will always be very grateful for Charlie’s incisive initial consultation which proved to be instrumental in getting the correct early diagnosis and treatment.

I sustained an ankle injury 2 years ago which put me out of action from all exercise for a year, during which time my muscle strength deteriorated and I experience severe knee pain when i tried to resume exercising. I saw 2 other therapists before being referred here and I have had nothing but a positive experience.
This is the best physiotherapy I have ever received for my knees, which is saying something as I began my sessions in March and then we went into lockdown due to COVID 19! My sessions from then on were online only with Tim & Rebecca. I still felt well supported and listened to, and like I was making excellent progress.
I have since had the chance to come back into the centre and resume my therapy with Rebecca Christenson who is an absolute star.
She has been very informative and open about what she expects my body to be able to do, and what exercises I should be aiming to do between sessions. She listens to me attentively and is super clear about what is going on with my body to help me understand how to get better.
I would also like to add that the centre is lovely and there is lots of high quality equipment there for us to practice movements together before going off and doing exercises independently between sessions. Other physiotherapies I have had elsewhere haven't included this but I think this has been very important in my recovery.

When I first went to see Charlie Goodchild, I was having some serious back pain and had tried to multiple different physio’s and wasn’t getting anywhere. Charlie put together a customised workout routine that has me feeling significantly better. I would 100% recommend him and the practice.
J. C.
Well equipped facility with professional and knowledgeable specialists. I have been seeing Emmanuel Ovola for a foot injury in a lead up to an event, he has identified weaknesses in certain muscle groups and we are working to get me race-fit. Would highly recommend.
G. G. V.
I've had 2 significant treatments there, both of them related to pretty serious injuries, and in both cases they have been fantastic and I recovered fully and most importantly avoiding an operation.
Most recent treatment was with Alex Quinn to deal with back problems. I have 2 slipped disks in my back that I have been managing for a long time now. Back in November couldn't even walk and last month I did Berlin marathon in 2 hours and 45 minutes to give you an idea of my improvement.
Not only Alex is a great physiotherapist who has helped me with hands on treatments, exercises stretches and more, but he's also a runner himself and understands that world perfectly and how to integrate your recovery with a running training plan.
He's also helped me in the past with a hamstring injury and best thing is he's also giving me exercises and a plan to prevent same injury from happening again.
I would highly recommend Pure Sports Medicine, their therapists and their gym facilities there, and in particular Alex Quinn.
T. M.
Simon Lack is a true professional. He helped me return to play from a torn ACL, MCL, double-meniscal tear and strained MCL. Without surgery I was back jumping, skipping and developing multi-directional movement.
Having taken the decision to have surgery, the team at Pure helped immensely with my rehabilitation. A year post surgery and I was able to cycle 160 miles in two days and walk 100,000 steps (52 miles) in a day. I can’t recommend Simon enough.
c. n.
I couldn't recommend PSM highly enough - and especially physiotherapist Rebecca Christenson whose expertise in rehab has helped me recover from a long term running injury. I had seen two other therapists before Rebecca and my injury was seeing no signs of improvement. Rebecca's thorough approach and recovery plan still included me being able to run a marathon within it (!) but most importantly making my body stronger so this injury would be kept at bay. I have seen her for over a year and without a doubt would not be in such a strong place with my running if it wasn't for her consistently tweaking my rehab, guiding me around controlling the intensity of my running and being clear about the end goal. Even through COVID she was in regular contact and able to help me remotely. I'm very pleased my last two sessions have been back at PSM HQ - and each time I have felt thoroughly safe and that the centre is taking the correct precautions in the current times. Thanks for everything!

I reached out to Alex for a Knee injury after seeing four therapists in a span of 2 years at leading clinics in London. I am an everyday athlete and lover of outdoors who enjoys being active – running marathons, hiking, climbing, swimming, cycling, so resolving this injury was important to me and I really felt helpless.
I didn’t want to again spend time and money with no results. But after my first session with Alex, I knew this time it would be different. He formed me a plan of strengthening and rehab and within few weeks I started to see a difference. To make matters worse I had a tibia stress injury few weeks later and Alex started to treat both.
A plan for strengthening and rehab which we regularly reviewed, clinic sessions supplemented with running coaching for me to reach that start line of Chicago marathon. He always described the strength exercises really well. He is a runner himself which makes a massive difference. He personally understands the physical and the mental requirements & challenges of runners both for professionals and everyday athletes.
His plan was tailored to allow me to do what I COULD with cross training while I got stronger for running. Alex is an expert, upto date with his knowledge and is continuously learning & innovating.
The biggest point for me was that he genuinely wanted to help and cared so I could trust him.
I just didn’t reach the start line but got a 21 min PB in Chicago and running another marathon in a short span of three weeks. I feel so much more stronger and looking forward to next year
Pure sports medicine also offers great gym facilities during treatment, the staff is super helpful and friendly.
I would highly recommend Alex and Pure sports medicine

Prior to the COVID-19 lockdown I had been seeing Rebecca Christenson for a high hamstring tendon injury and received excellent treatment from Rebecca. As I have been unable to see Rebecca during the lockdown, she referred me to Alex Quinn for remote video physio sessions and these have worked out really very well. Alex is a top notch physio and as a keen runner himself he has been very understanding of my desire to get back to fitness and to the level of running I wish to get to. During our sessions, Alex has in addition to the physio treatment, given me some really helpful advice on achieving my running goals and I look forward to continuing working with him going forward. 10/10 for Alex and for the remote video physio sessions.

Manni is a superb physio. I have seen several in the past and struggled with short-term type fixes to alleviate pain which then comes back. Manni focusses on the root cause and ways to fix that in a long-term sustainable and preventative manner. He’s provided sound advice on several aspects of my recovery, nutrition and training. I would recommend him as a physio to anyone.
P. S.
I sustained a trimalleolar fracture last summer and was recommended to see Manni by a friend. I have been seeing Manni for more than 5 months now. He's brilliant and really knows his stuff! I can't thank him enough for getting me well on the road to recovery.
Great gym facilities, the staff is very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend.

I first visited Alex Quinn in October of last year when I was about to start training for my first marathon and was suffering from a double whammy of a hamstring injury and sciatica pain. Over the following 5 months, Alex combined the rehab and building up of the strength in my hamstring and glutes along with helping me to create and implement a personally tailored marathon training program to get me to the start line of the Seville marathon in the best possible shape to try and achieve my goal. His support, advice and experience along the way meant I ended up completing the Seville marathon last Sunday in a time of 03:40, a full 5 minutes ahead of my target time. I credit Alex 100% for all of his help and guidance that meant I ran the perfect race - A 1 minute 40 negative split (I didn't even know what this was when I started), no hitting of the "wall" and the ability to actually enjoy the whole experience, especially overtaking 1,400 people in the second half of the race.

I have had excellent shoulder treatment from Rachel Leary in the past avoiding surgery which had been suggested as a possibility. There has been no need to return for this condition in the past 8years. Recently I had a hip problem which had occurred while traveling. What had caused suffering for some weeks was quickly improved by Rachel's excellent expertise and non invasive way of working.
The supporting structure of Pure Sports Medicine Bank has only ever been helpful and courteous. Also a pleasant reception environment.

I've had brilliant support to return to health from the team at Pure Sports - Rebecca the physio has been absolutely brilliant. There's been a clear plan and lots of support and encouragement. A special mention to Elissa, her soft tissue massage helped manage pain and felt like magic. I was in near constant discomfort / pain and an hour of massage with her left my legs (and head) in a much better place. It's almost not getting better to keep n having massages....

I sustained an ankle injury and was referred to Tim Maynard here by a specialist, and I can only speak positively about my experience over the last 3-4 months. Not only is this situated perfectly for anyone who works near/in the City, Tim was absolutely fantastic and I would request to go back if I ever sustain a similar injury again. Being quite active in general, I was keen to get back to my normal training routine and Tim was very accommodating of this whilst also being realistic with what I should and shouldn't do. I would encourage anyone to visit this practice and more specifically Tim if you have any leg/ankle-related issues.

I had been having recurring calf issues for a number of months so sought physio and acupuncture at Pure Sports Medicine. Following my session with Lisa Posnett, there was marked improvement and I have been able to return to regular training with little/no issue. I was very grateful for the advice Lisa provided for managing the injury forward and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone in a similar position.

I have been doing Strength & Conditions with Graham Ferris for the past 3 months. I originally came to Pure Sports with knee injury, not being able to walk without pain for more than 20min and was seen by Simon Chambers, who then suggested some Strength & Conditioning sessions with Graham. The team have been helpful and effective with my recovery and I am now able to exercise regularly without problems. Would highly recommend!
N. F. L.
I did several sessions at Pure Sports Med to treat a shoulder injury and this was by far the best experience that I had with a physiotherapy clinic.
Jonathan Cairns was a pleasure to work with. He put together a very comprehensive recovery plan, that evolved in each session according to my feedback and his assessment, so entire process felt very dynamic. Not only did I see notable improvements in each session, I left the clinic with a much better body and muscle awareness, honed from going back and forth on different exercises with Jon, and later with Graham Ferris.
For an empirical mind like mine I really appreciated how often Jon mentioned recent academic papers on the subject or how the knowledge of specialists on my particular injury type evolved over time. The process surely felt much more like a application to my particular case, rather than a generic treatment prescribed to these types of injuries, which from a patient perspective I see as an amazing outcome.
Definitely recommended!

I was diagnosed with a knee injury that seemed I may need to have surgery at some point and my running days might be over. I started working with Neil Smith (Physio) and Alex Ross (Podiatrist) and I am pleased to say surgery was avoided, I am stronger, my technique and understanding has improved and I am back running looking to do a Half Marathon less than 6 months after I thought it was all over. The guys knowledge, understanding and rehab work set has been invaluable and I a can not speak highly enough of their abilities and support. Both guys have taken a personal interest in my progress and follow up via email regularly, which has given me confidence and inspiration.

I cannot recommend Ben Saldivar and Pure Sports medicine enough. I arrived to Pure Sports Medicine with severe pain in my right leg and an overwhelming sense of distress, as the half ironman I had spent 10 months training for was looking incredibly unlikely. I was referred to Ben who gave me a thorough assessment and quickly provided me with a clear and structured programme to get me back up and running (pun intended). He had an excellent bed-side manner and made me feel incredibly comfortable throughout every aspect of my recovery. After just two sessions, I could instantly feel the improvements in my knee and grew in confidence as I slowly upped my training. I managed to compete in the race last week with no pain whatsoever and my leg is now back to 100%. All in all, the service I received from Pure Sports and Ben was nothing but exceptional and I could not be happier with the results.

I would like to say a big ‘Thank You’ to Rebecca Christenson, my excellent physiotherapist. I am seeing Rebecca each week since the covid19 started, using online technology.
Rebecca has helped me recover from a long-term hip injury. Rebecca's thorough and professional approach and recovery plan worked well from day one, despite the fact we never meet face to face. Most likely Rebecca can run a successful rehabilitation session even from the moon :-) she knows her stuff well. Rebecca’s expertise in rehabilitation, extensive knowledge on human body and mind works really well.
I recommend Rebecca to all of you out there battling pain or sport injuries.
Thanks for everything!
R. G.
I was treated by Tim Maynard over a period of 5 months following ankle reconstruction surgery. Tim’s experience working with elite athletes was evident and the treatment, advice and follow-up throughout the rehabilitation process was akin to that of a club physiotherapist. Tim always provided exercises tailored to my specific goals and went beyond the call of duty to keep in touch between appointments and adjust exercises as and when necessary. 5 months post-surgery I’m already back playing competitive football and can’t thank Tim enough for his help and support in getting me back on the pitch.

For me this is a top of the class strength and conditioning experience. Graham Ferris has the unique ability to observe detail and customise training to take you to the next level and unlock your potential. He has taken me from zero to athlete! I’m am now excelling at Power lifting and Olympic lifting which feels immense. He has a real passion for rehabilitation and performance and I enjoy how he shares his expert knowledge during our sessions to aid my understanding of what goes into my training.
The ease of access to all the other disciplines at the clinic makes this one of the best sport medicine clinics. I would highly recommend Pure Sports Medicine as your Go-To-Facility for anything from rehab to taking your performance to the next level!
E. F.
My experience at Pure Sports Medicine was incredible. I received excellent physio care from Charlene and equally excellent PT from Graham. The facilities are modern, location is convenient, and scheduling services extremely accessible. I can't recommend this company and team highly enough!

I have been receiving first class physiotherapy treatment from Clive for a problem with my neck. The combination of this and the excellent pilates sessions with Joanna has helped me make a full recovery. The practitioners work closely together to help you reach your goals. Highly recommended!

For the past 4 months I have been doing strength & conditioning training with coach Graham Ferris. Graham is very good at what he does - always prepared, on time, dedicated, friendly and firm, yet empathetic. A skilled professional who clearly knows and understands the body and its workings well. Graham gives good instructions and enables sessions that are positive, encouraging and challenging, with just the right amount of persuasion. The clean and fresh environment of the clinic is a pleasure to work out in, alongside quality equipment. I truly enjoy my sessions at Threadneedle Street, and I leave feeling uplifted (mentally, if not physically!). This clinic and its team of professionals are not just for sports celebrities, but for anyone needing to review their lifestyle and take stock.

Having had longstanding niggling injuries in my shoulders for years I went to Pure on a recommendation from a colleague. I have since seen a variety of professionals including a Sports Dr, physio, osteopath and strength and conditioning coach and have received nothing but exceptional care throughout. Everyone seemed on top of their game and had impressive CVs which showed in the speed of diagnosis and ultimate treatment which has got me back to triathlon and sitting at my desk pain free! I will be recommending to anyone I come across who needs their expertise.

I came to see Simon Lack after suffering a severe bone bruise to my right knee in mid June. I'd been on crutches for several weeks unable to bear any weight by the time I saw him. I was concerned about being fit for my hiking-based deferred honeymoon (which included a hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and which we had booked more than a year in advance. The start of the trip was at the ambitious end for bone healing and fitness recovery time.
Simon took on board my goal and worked hard to get the bone healed and recover strength in my leg, right up to a few days before the holiday. I also had a great session with Jim Zouch to keep making progress when my holiday and Simon's ran back to back.
I was able to do 70 or 80 miles of hiking 16 weeks after the injury, 8 or 9 weeks of which I was at least partly using crutches. I was fine at the Grand Canyon - or at any rate my right leg wasn't any worse than my left. I then had a follow-up with Simon to talk about how to rebuild the cycling strength /endurance I had pre-entry having achieved my main goal.
I can't recommend the team at Pure Sports highly enough. My wife and I were very worried I wouldn't be able to enjoy a special holiday to the full and I was thanks to their efforts. I hope not to need physio again any time soon but if I do I would go back to Pure Sports without hesitation.

The 50/50 class lead by David and Graham is a wonder. This was recommended to me by Clive following treatment on my neck and knee, and since attending the class I feel stronger, looser, less injury prone and a lot more knowledgeable when it comes to training and exercise. The routines are not only limited to the class but can be done at home or your gym. I planned to attend only 5 sessions to bring my confidence back following my treatment, but the benefit was so visible that I have continued to attend the classes and will continue to attend the classes for as long as I can.
S. O.
Great attention from all the staff in general. After a month of not being able to walk because of a strain that wouldn't get better, Physio Lisa Posnett at the Bank branch helped me recover in about a week. I immediately saw improvement after my first session! Thank you so much.
A. N.
Always friendly and helpful. Completely understood my complicated injury history and built a program around me. Well equipped gym available for use as a client which made rehab a lot easier. Once I was no longer so dependant on my Physio, Neil, I was moved over to a sports and conditioning coach to ensure my body was ready to go back to more vigorous training.
S. N.
As a physiotherapist treating predominantly runners, I have worked with Dr James Noake over the past few years and he has been brilliant in helping manage a number of complex and challenging injuries that patients have presented with. He looks at the patient as a ‘whole’ and considers all contributing factors to an injury that can often be overlooked, such as the of diet and nutrition. He is always on-hand to offer advice and reassurance to clinicians and patients alike and is great to work with.
C. M.
I've dealt with several physios over the years but nothing like the comprehensive service I received here. Troubling knee issue which for four years had brought my running down from 2 hours to 10 minutes was dealt with brilliantly by Jim Zouch. The injury was more psychological than physical and a combination of change of running style, leg strengthening and techniques to distract the mind from thinking about the knee have helped me to a full recovery. Highly recommended,
A. O.
Visited Pure Medicine eight weeks before the London Marathon for a training talk and came away so well informed & reassured about it all. I booked in to see Neil the following week because of a knee injury and he could not have been more helpful. He provided me with a full training plan, useful stretches and taping techniques. Right up until a few days before the race, he was available for a chat to discuss a few issues I was having. All-in-all, a brilliant service!
J. P.
PSM's approach to treatment is by far the most impressive I have encountered. I struggled with a shoulder injury for a number of months before visiting the Bank clinic and was immediately encouraged that I was working with someone that knew how to resolve the lingering issue and to do so without giving me boring exercises that I had to commit hours to - yes, I still had to do the exercises but the progression was pretty swift and I could include the exercises quite easily into my usual gym routine.
In addition, during the course of my treatment for my shoulder, my physio (Charlie) noted the longstanding problem I have had with my back and he endeavoured to work with me to resolve this, including bringing in others from the team who have different specialisms to complement the treatment/advice he was giving. As a consequence, I'm now back lifting weights in the gym properly and have taken up running again (having stopped for a +/- 2 year period because of my back), which led to me recently completing a 10km race within my target time only a few months after engaging with PSM.
Their approach to my problems was much more dynamic than others I have seen previously - rather than avoid the issue, they tackle it head on, which creates confidence that you will be able to overcome your injury.
C. K.
Treated by Dr. Noake for a hip stress injury.
Service was on-point and I felt very supported; I was also very impressed as James took the extra mile by following up with communications providing additional information for my long-term rehabilitation and nutrition. Left with high confidence in my recovery plan in collaboration with the physio. Reception service was also excellent; super-fast to provide letters, referrals and sent them to the relevant clinics directly as well.

I attended 6 sessions of the 50/50 (Pilates and strength and conditioning class) led by Graham Feris and David Johnson at Threadneedle street branch. These classes were excellent- they are small so both instructors give you an incredible amount of 1:1 input, challenging and inspiring for home work outs too. I am not a natural gym person and have a bad back after surgery, so needed a safe and supportive and challenging environment, all of which David and Graham provide without fail.. and dare it say it, a lot of fun too!
I look forward to attending the class again this summer.

James Noake was able to quickly see me and diagnose my neck issues which had been causing me some issues for some time. Following an MRI, James referred my to Alex Quinn for Physio. Alex was great, understood the issues i was having and provided me with an exercise programme which sorted my issues out and enabled em to get back to normal. This is the second time i have used PSM Bank and they are exceptional.

I have sustained a complex bilateral knee injury after an unfortunate skiing accident and owe my full and complete recovery in no small part to the excellent care provide by Leo Chiu at Pure Sports Medicine both pre- and post-surgery. Leo is knowledgeable, attentive and extremely positive. He knows how to build a rapport with patients, set goals, and works methodically to address issues and maintain a steady pace of progress. Leo went over and beyond and made himself available to provide advice and counselling outside the scheduled sessions. Over 9 months of treatment, I'd come to look forward to my physio sessions and the staff at Pure Sports were friendly, personable and particularly accommodating. I've gone from despair and near-panic, to fully recovered and ready to hit the slopes again! highly recommended.

I came into the clinic as I couldn't run for six months. After seeing and osteopath and a deep tissue massage therapist without results, a friend of mine recommended me to see Alex Quinn. Alex sorted me out in three sessions. I had all the time that I had a tight piriformis but what I had was a tendon injury. Alex gave me exercises to strengthen my glutes, abs and hips. Now I am running at the same level that I was running before the injury. I highly recommend Alex.

Great experience with this clinic. I was treated by Lisa Posnett in the lead up to the London Marathon after having issues with ITB syndrome. She helped me physically (in both strength terms and in running technique to reduce the impact going through my knee) and was a great support mentally throughout the whole process. I am pleased to report I completed the marathon her help. I would highly recommend.

I have been treated over the summer for Iliotibial (IT) Band Syndrome by Lisa Posnett, who has been brilliant as usual. As a regular long distance runner this has been a challenge but I have had great confidence in overcoming it at Pure under the professionalism and expertise of Lisa. Her support is ongoing with regular email advice (even when out of the clinic on holiday!) and I feel as though I have had the best possible rehabilitation under her guidance. I often struggle with recovery and niggles given I suffer from Ankylosing Spondylitis. Lisa has always understood what is a complicated condition and her assistance has always got me back on the road running marathons despite my medical condition. I highly recommend Lisa and Pure Sports Medicine for anyone suffering from sport injuries and requiring treatment.

A very professionally run practice with a very knowledgeable and personable team. I would have no hesitation in recommending the team at Pure Sports Medicine who provided me with excellent advice at the point of diagnosis and superb physio input during my recovery process.

I would highly recommend Tim Maynard at Pure Sports Threadneedle Street. Tim was extremely professional and diligent throughout my 4 weeks getting back from a grade 2 hamstring tear. His diagnosis was honest and thorough, then provided a comprehensive programme to follow which he updated after weekly consultations. He put my mind at ease and I returned to full fitness quicker than expected thanks to his guidance. I will see Tim again should I get injured in the future.

I have been seeing Rebecca Christenson for more than a year now, and I’d highly recommend her.
I came to her with lots of aches and pains, partly due to Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and partly with FAI/labral tears/tendinopathy in both hips. I’d already had one surgery, which I hated, and another one was being threatened. I was pretty sceptical about the value of seeing yet another physio - probably like most hypermobile people, anything hands-on tends to make me feel worse rather than better. I also think a lot of physio outfits are unable to deal with people who have complex musculoskeletal issues.
Rebecca was worth every penny - and I self-paid for most of it. She gave me a detailed exercise programme, explaining everything about why and how along the way, starting off with very small things and slowly building up. A year later, I can do things I didn’t think I’d be able to do again - I went skiing (twice), I can squat again, I am cycling, I can walk for miles...yes, I still get some pain but it’s incomparable to last January, I am stronger, and I generally think differently about both pain and exercise.

I have been seeing Lisa Posnett and she has helped me recover from my recent neck and shoulder injury and now I’m back in the gym and even skiing again. Last year Lisa encouraged me to take up Pilates and Yoga to strengthen my core as I have a sedantry job and she suggested a desk which allows me to stand . I followed her advise and I haven’t had a lower back injury since.I am confident in her expertise.

To everyone I worked with at Pure Sports Medicine, thank you for your amazing professionalism. Achieving the goal of becoming an Ironman athlete shows Pure are the best in the business! With ACL injuries in both knees as well as recent achilles and hamstring injures finishing a challenging endurance race is definitely the standout moment of any race I've entered.
I would trust Pure's team and recommend their service to anyone, the fact
it was the first time I crossed a finishing line in a race 'not' injured with no signs of any strains since a 2008 is incredible! Keep up the good work!

I have had a shoulder injury with several dislocations (+40 times) across my entire life which left it extremely weak. My passions are snowboard and surf, and when the shoulder injury worsened, I had to keep away my surf and snowboards. I haven't seen the snow for 3 years now...
Jonathan and Graham (Pure Sports) designed a completely personalized programme to strengthen and increase the endurance of my shoulders, but also for me to recover the confidence through incredibly clever exercises that would test my shoulder under unexpected situations so my brain would be able to react accordingly to the kind of uncertain events that always happen when snowboarding or surfing.
This way I have now recovered the confidence and am ready to take the dust off of my snowboard and throw myself down the slopes this winter.
Thanks guys!

Fantastic treatment, I've suffered with a bad back for a long time in the nhs system and privately with no progress or solution. I went to Lisa Posnett and her advice on number of sessions and likely progress has been sport on, particularly as I'm self funding my treatment. My back has improved so much I'm now the most pain free I've been in years and progressing towards a return to sport. Couldn't recommend Lisa and Pure Sports more highly.

Highly recommend this practice. Especially MSK specialist Dr Seth and physio Yasmin.

Alex Quinn is fantastic! He recently helped me to combat a knee and foot injury ahead of Amsterdam marathon. Alex went above and beyond to make sure I was race ready, helping me to understand my injuries, what caused them and what I could do to aid recovery. It is clear that Alex really cares about his patients and wants us to succeed and reach our goals just as much as we do. Thank you!

Can't thank the staff at Pure Sports Medicine enough for their friendly and helpful demeanour. Have had great support throughout my 11 month recovery so far and Simon has got me back playing rugby quicker than I had anticipated. Couldn't have done it without them as a support network and never doubted their expertise and approach.
Thanks for everything!

Absolutely brilliant service at PSM Bank. All staff are very friendly and welcoming and the practice seems to run very smooth and efficient. The treatment specialists are great at what they do and genuinely care. Not only do they give great treatment for the paid sessions but you also get follow up emails recapping the appointment and giving advice on stretches, recovery methods. Will definitely be sticking with PSM for future sessions.

I received excellent treatment and care from the physios, esp Charlene O'Leary who has helped me become pain free for the first time in a long time.
Very efficient booking and communications and good facilities.
Highly recommended.

I can’t recommend Tim Maynard enough: in just 8 weeks, Tim helped me recover and train for a half marathon, from being unable to run at all, to managing to run the race more quickly than I ever imagined. Tim was very clear and structured with my recovery and training programme and gave me great confidence.

Excellent facilities and knowledgeable staff. Having suffered with on and off back pain for many years, and been in and out of various physios, I've been impressed with the way the physios at Threadneedle Street and the personal coaches interact with each other so programmes are designed to aid long term recovery and strengthening.

I have only had the one appointment with James Noake at Pure Sports Medicine Threadneedle Street so far but was greatly impressed by the amount of equipment he had at his disposal in his room. I have never been so confident since 2011 that I have found the right consultant for my bi-lateral feet pain which I have been experiencing in varying levels for various reasons. At last I am looking forward to a quality of life I haven't had for some time.

I was treated at this clinic for initial stage of stress fracture. Both the doctor (Dr. Natasha Beach) and the physio (Alex Quinn) were very knowledgeable and understanding of my concerns.
Would be happy to recommend them

Really great for both my recovery stage and then performance improvement. Having real data and proof behind my improvements gave me the confidence and motivation to carry on working hard and achieve my goals.

Worked with Rebecca Christenson to recover from a second, serious lower leg injury and to establish not only if there were any underlying problems but also a healthier, less-injury-prone training regime. The results and her support were nothing short of ‘fantastic - thank you!
Your assessments were always thorough and reassuring, recommendations always clear and easy to follow, and your attention to detail is remarkable.
Though I obviously hope to not require your services again (!), if I do have any future problems, I’ll look to work with you again.

I owe most of my recovery to pure sports medicine, mainly my physio, Leo Chiu. I had a serious accident where I broke my left humerus, dislocated my elbow and shattered my wrist. He was the only one throughout my recovery who convinced me that I was going to be ok, that I was going to get my functionality back. That mental uplift made all the difference to me and made me feel like I could do it. We had a lot of tears, and as much as I dreaded the pain each time I came in, he always made me laugh as well. He kept my spirits up over the entire six months of intense physio. I cannot thank him enough for what he did for me, how he believed in me, and what a rock he was during a very difficult and dark time in my life. He is a gift to pure sports and I couldn't recommend him or the company enough.

Great experience with Alex Quinn after I suffered a back strain and severe muscle spasm playing rugby. I went from being immobile to fit enough to play a 7s tournament in the space of 8 days. Follow up treatment after that was excellent and targeted.
E. N.
Emmanuel quickly sorted out a soft-tissue problem on my knee. Targeted advice and a friendly manner, who’s easy to chat to and knows loads about running. Would highly recommend
M. C.
I've had nothing but 5* professional service here. Having battled with hip pain for years - I've had just 3 sessions so far and I can already feel the benefits after tweaking a few small things and I haven't had to stop exercising which is so important during this time.

I arrived at Pure Sport Medicine in a state of near panic, a significant amount of pain on the outside of my knee was quickly crushing my hopes of competing in Ironman Austria 5 weeks away. The process started with a consultation and diagnosis from specialist musculoskeletal osteopath Ricardo Davids which diagnosed IT Band friction. From here we began a twice weekly program of stretches and strengthening. The approach at Pure Sports Medicine is holistic; whilst physio treatment was ongoing, I was also given an ultrasound consultation by specialist sports doctor, Kay Brennan, which revealed a swollen bursa. The practical attitude of the staff with regards to competing in the race was refreshing; a cortisone shot relieved immediate symptoms to compete, allow a window for continued rehabilitation and eventual handover to a performance coach specialising in strength and conditioning. A key strength of Pure Sports Medicine is the collegiate atmosphere amongst the staff and the holistic approach to treatment; from initial diagnosis, rehabilitation, sports doctor input and strength/conditioning coaches; you are made to feel that you are on a path to full recovery as quickly as possible. I can safely say I would not have been able to compete this year in Ironman triathlon if it had not been for the staff at Pure Sports Medicine.

Currently being seen by Lisa Posnett and have felt incredibly well looked after and my rehab is going fantastically well. Was totally terrified about pushing myself after injury/surgery but now feel confident in my recovery. Cannot recommend enough, thank you Lisa

I saw Lisa Posnett after hurting my back . it's the second time I've been to PSM, and both times they were excellent. Lisa got me back fit in under a month, was very helpful, engaged and encouraging, she and PSM come highly recommended.

I've used Pure Sports Medicine for physiotherapy, deep tissue sports message, pilates and other group equipment classes. I can't rate them highly enough. Friendly, helpful, very professional and very supportive. An enormous help to me, over the last 3 years.

I can't recommend Rebecca Christenson highly enough... after a relatively minor knee injury was incorrectly treated over a number of years, I could do little more in terms of physical activity than walk. Rebecca took time to understand the history of my problem, gaged my expectations and then created an evolving treatment plan which saw me progress rapidly from one week to the next. I can now alternate happily between running, swimming and cycling pretty much every day.

I contacted Pure Med in order to recover from a very complex surgery where I had part of my soleus extirpated. Tim helped me recover the strength and flexibility I previously had with a personalised program. Top-notch service delivered by top-notch professionals.
M. h.
Overall the level of care I received from 2 weeks post surgery to full recovery was brilliant and seamlessly delivered by the confident, resourceful and downright amazing team at Pure. I wouldn't go for kneehab anywhere else.

Have used this branch of Pure Sports Medicine over the last few year for minor muscular issues and have always been impressed by their focused, proactive approach which produces results. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
R. D.
I can highly recommend Rebecca Christenson at Pure Sports Threadneedle Street. A good range of exercises for different injuries and a willingness to adapt if certain things were not seeming to work/proving too difficult. Got me ready for the Marathon des Sables which I completed without any flare ups of previous niggles - if that doesn't convince you to seek Rebecca's help then good luck to you!

Fantastic Facility. Physios really know their stuff and really care about getting you back to being fully fit. Would highly recommend especially if you live and active lifestyle as they take this into account when giving treatments (lots of clinics don't do this)
G. K.
Thanks so much to Neil and Dean for all their help. I had to keep deferring my marathon place because of different injuries that kept cropping up. I was given a personalised strength training program and have since run a 3:15 marathon. Great team and service and thanks again.
S. J.
I've been very impressed with the service from Pure Sports - from the first phone call the staff have been incredibly professional and the treatment has been more effective than even I had hoped. I have since recommended Roonie to a number of friends and would not hesitate to return should I have any problems in future.

Fantastic doctors, physios and trainers! Highly recommend physio with Lisa. Also loving the 50/50 classes (pilates/strength building) with David and Graham.
T. M.
I had brilliant service from Alex and Tim. I finally achieved the half marathon objective in only 3 months when I couldn’t walk properly and my ankle was very swollen. Great advice and great people!
R. J.
Good facilities and knowledgeable, expert physios who really get to know you. The place to go for sporting injuries with physios who want you to get back to sport asap.
H. D.
Very good facilities and professional staff. Alex Quinn my Physio helped me to revover both shoulder and leg injuries with effective and simple exercises!

Excellent clinic, I have been going for over 5 years and the team of doctors and physios have been consistently excellent in understanding, diagnosing and correcting problems....without them I would not have been able to complete many ultra events, including the marathon des sables so thank you Pure Sports

Emmanuel is one of the best in the business. Great guy and excellent physio.

My friend went there. He recommended me. Also for my football practice injury. Place is easy to find. They do what they say and got extra time on the muscles on my right leg.
