I visited Retha at SE1 Physio a number of times for ongoing back and IT band issues and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is a very knowledgeable physio and has a very calm and friendly demeanour. I always left our sessions feeling much better than when I came in. It really felt like she was invested in getting to the bottom of what was causing my issues. Thanks again for all your help Retha.

I've been coming to Retha for several years now. As a dancer, I find her physio extremely helpful in dealing with tight hamstrings, calves and knee issues. Retha also has a brilliant ability to use her physiotherapy pressure techniques to solve tension headaches. I always come away from seeing her feeling better.. Retha is extremely professional. She tailors her services to the individual patient needs, and ensures she remains up to date on the latest techniques.
I regularly visit Retha because she provides excellent services at a competitive price. I would not hesitate to recommend her services to those seeking a committed, intelligent physiotherapist with a strong patient care ethos.

I visited Retha at SE1 Physio following a calf strain that I'd picked up in training for the 2019 London Marathon. I was 5 weeks out and on my longest run in training felt a strain in my left calf so the following week I was advised to visit Retha from a colleague. With only 4 weeks until the Marathon, Retha confirmed I had strained my calf. I was given a sports massage along with some stretching and strengthening exercises to take away from the session to complete each day leading up to the marathon in order to make a full recovery.
I ended up seeing Retha three times in the 4 weeks leading up to the marathon and following all her help, I managed to make a full recovery and complete the marathon injury free.
Retha is an excellent physio and I would recommend her to anyone, she's quick to diagnose the issue and provides you with a plan to resolve it.

I was a bit worried about going back to see Retha after covid. But honestly it was great and everything was so clean. Retha is honestly the best physio I’ve ever seen and trust me I’ve seen many. I'm really glad to have found Retha. She is an active distance runner, swimmer and climber herself so she is not the type of physio to ask you to reconsider what exercise you are doing. Her diagnostic skills are great, she keeps up to date with recent techniques and theory and she has a sixth sense for finding tight spots in the body. After a running injury in 2012 I went to many physios and osteopaths who provided temporary relief. Retha now has me back doing distance running more comfortably and stronger than before. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Retha is a Jedi of a physio. I've been to many over the years and she's hands down the best. I wasn't able to run for weeks, I went in for 30 minutes, not only did she work out what was wrong with me which wasn't a standard issue by any stretch (I was expecting to need scans and all sorts), she literally had me running straight out from the appointment to the gym. I am beyond impressed and I can't rave enough. Thanks Retha, you're incredible!

I have visited SE1Physio due to various pains on my body but mainly lower back. Retha helped me massively to release my lower back as when I visited her I wasn't able to stand properly due to pain. The most beautiful thing though is that she was there for me mentally and emotionally as well, as I was going through a very stressful period in my life. Her heartwarming words of wisdom and her kind heart helped me to stand back on my feet and smile again :) Seeing her during our sessions was helping me physically and emotionally. Have had an ongoing issue with pain around the tendons at the elbow, I saw Sarah who helped diagnose the problem, a relatively painless massage and Acupuncture session and the pain almost immediately went. Sarah also advised on how to strengthen the muscles and self massage, in order to avoid it happenng again and it's working wonders. Highly recommend! Cheers
