Rosie was amazing from start to finish. I went to see Rosie following the birth of my son for a postpartum check due to some issues I had been experiencing. She was extremely thorough and gave me a full examination and explained everything that was going on. She ensured she understood my background and the type and location of my pain and put me at ease. She also gave me treatment at my first consultation which has eased my pain along with exercises that I should do before my catch up appointment in 6 weeks time. There were extra things in my first visit that I wasn't expecting to ensure I had fully recovered from pregnancy and birth. Everything was explained in a calm and clear manner. Cannot rate Rosie enough. After suffering for over 5 years with severe overactive bladder(OAB), trying medication (Oxybutynin), lots of supplements, Kegel exercises etc I stumbled across Rosie's web page. A professional and client-centred service from start to finish. I attended for a postnatal assessment 8 weeks after having my baby: not necessarily symptomatic of any issues, but keen to optimise rehab of my pelvic floor after my second (heavier) baby before returning to the gym. Rosie is absolutely amazing! I went to see her last year after starting an at home trampoline based exercise class. After having 2 children who are both still under 5 I realised very quickly that my body (specifically my pelvic floor and bladder!) was not going to allow me to continue exercising in this way. I would advise anyone having woman’s health issues to go see Rosie. I spent quite a number of years going back and forth to the GP and really struggling with pelvic pain and period symptoms which were making me so unhappy. I got to the point where I had given up after years of not being listened too and just thought it was something I had to live with until I walked past her clinic one day with a friend who told me they had been in contact with her. Rosie is amazing! I have previously had lots of health professionals say that they are unable to help with the symptoms of dysperunia and vestibuloynia. My doctor recommended that I “google the conditions” and that there were no other intervention options that she could suggest. On doing this I saw that one possible intervention could be physiotherapy. This had never been suggested to me by a health professional, but after 10 years of failed interventions I decided I had nothing to lose. From the minute I spoke to Rosie she gave me hope that things could be different. I was nervous to discuss the difficulties with another professional but she put me at ease. Before my consultation with Rosie, I was in a very bad place, both physically and emotionally. I’d been suffering with chronic pelvic pain for months, which resulted in a very poor quality of life. I had all the usual Urology tests - Ultrasound, CT Scan and Flexible Cystoscopy. They all came back normal and nobody could tell me why I was experiencing so much pain. I eventually discovered from researching my symptoms that I was suffering from Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome (CPPS). I then decided I needed to find a therapist who could help me overcome this debilitating condition. This wasn’t easy because most physiotherapists have never heard of CPPS or how to treat it. Thank goodness I found Rosie! From the moment I went in to see Rosie, I felt a weight lift off my shoulders. She was sympathetic and very knowledgeable about my condition. I was given some great knowledge and tips to make my daily life easier. Most importantly, Rosie knew which protocol I should follow to help ease my symptoms with the aim of making a full recovery. Thanks to Rosie, I made a full recovery in less time than I ever dreamed possible. I’ve now returned to work and I can do all the things that I could do before I was ill.
