Reviews of Coppi Restaurant Belfast | Italian Restaurant | Tapas | Pizza | Pasta
W. D.
Visited on a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed, but the staff were coping superbly and we got fantastic service. The menu confused me a little so I asked the waitress for advice and she was incredibly friendly and helpful.
Foot was fantastic. Highlight was probably the feta cheese with truffle honey.
We split eight small dishes and a pizzette and had a beer each and it was less than 50 quid. Great value for food of that quality. Will definitely go back.
G. C.
Excellent food and great service. Cozy restaurant. It was not crowded at all which made our experience much better.
N. T.
Ordered the blue cheese bruschetta and ruck ragu ravioli. The bruschetta was interesting with the pear topping. The duck ragu was nice, but dare I say it had too much duck in it? It was a nice pasta dish and well cooked, but the balance was off. There was duck meat, crispy duck skin (?) and I should think it was duck ragu in the ravioli as well. Quite a bit of duck!
Service was excellent, ambience was great. Definitely a great place for groups!
F. P.
Fantastic food executed perfectly. The restaurant was really busy and the staff were 100%. Really well looked after. Defo try the cookie
M. J.
Had the duck ragu which was pretty nice but there was a (not unpleasant) dominant flavour of what I think was Marsala wine?? Also wasn’t enough relief from the richness of the duck for my taste.
Staff were very attentive & interior was really nice. Decent value overall too.
A. V.
Went for a vegetarian lunch. Amazing nachos and blistered peppers. The orzotto was quite underwhelming. The service was decent but could be better!
R. G.
Went for a meal on a Saturday night. The starters were lovely and the main courses that we ordered were amazing. We had prawns and tomato, basil and mozzarella arancini. For mains the wife had smoked chicken tortellini and I went for the seafood agnolotti. Both were beautiful and plenty of packing. The service was pretty quick and all the staff were vey nice and easy to deal with. Can't recommend this place highly enough. With drinks we spent around £65 so very reasonable.
S. B.
As a person who knows Italian food very well can say that this place does not offer you a proper Italian meal. Pizza, Lasagna, pasta and also desert are not definitely Italian style. However, food is tasty and atmosphere is also nice and cozy.
P. C.
Best Italian restaurant Belfast by a country mile! The food was divine (3 of us had the Squid Ink Linguine, it's that good!). Best cheesy garlic ciabatta bread I've ever had, the sweet balsamic syrup really makes it! Fantastic, tentative staff. This is our new 'go-to' place every month. Thank you to everyone at Coppi for making our evening special.
T. H.
Eaten out of here twice now and it does not disappoint! Quality delicious food and tasty cocktails. The brownie dessert was excellent. Can't wait to go back!
n. D.
Really nice food, friendly staff loved sitting outside after our meal feels like your on holiday would recommend
J. J.
Portions were perfect, filling without being the aul standard 'feed a farmer that's just done 6 hours a toil since dawn, about to go do 6 hours more-style ostentatious plate full'. Staff were pure sound, and very child friendly, so I didn't feel too self conscious about the toddler performing dinosaur roars at other tables.
C. M.
Food was amazing. Loved every bite. Service was excellent. Best meal I've had in a long time😁 All 3 courses were fantastic. Not a bite left over.
M. B.
Expensive for quality of cuisine on offer and the service. £26 for a small steak not great. Fish dish was nice but, just nice, not brilliant. Expect more from an Italian restaurant for the price frankly. Sorry but, to be honest, I expect better ambience, service and quality.
C. G.
service and food outstanding. we had the tapas and breads to start. various mains including the shin lasagne which was amazing. Only negative is the cocktails, especially the French Martini, all very watery, no flavour
R. V.
Ordered fish of the day, spiced hummus toastada and vegan chocolate brownie. Absolutely loved it. Perfect portions, each dish was cooked and presented perfectly. Highly recommend and rate the restaurant. Staff are friendly and service is prompt despite the busyness.
A. B.
Went here on a whim and glad we did. Food was absolutely fantastic and service was fast and friendly. Enjoyed the vegetarian and vegan options available at the restaurant along with the assortment of drinks. The butternut squash risotto was amazing and the tiramisu was some of the best around.
B. S.
Food always incredible here. Staff are totally on it at all times. Always very friendly and welcoming. And the warm chocolate & hazelnut cookie desert... Yes.
G. M.
We were in a party of 7 adults and 3 children. Atmosphere was good but we found the adult dishes to be overpriced for the portion sizes but children's menu was reasonable. We've tried it but wouldn't return.
P. M.
Good atmosphere, very friendly helpful staff though the service was a little slow. Food was good enough, not spectacular, price was okay. I doubt I’d go again but appreciate the helpful staff
J. S.
Good service overall, although they almost cancelled my reservation even though I have confirmed it the day before. They also told me that they have tried contacting me during the whole week and left me voicemails but I did not receive any calls or voicemails.
Food was good and arrived very quickly, nice deserts too. Overall atmosphere is very nice, buzzing with energy and good vibes. I will definitely be coming back there.
C. T.
In my opinion this feels like a knock off of a chain place like zizzis or whatever, it lacks any authentic charm. It was modern dark and industrial and the food was of an acceptable standard. We opted for cichetti (tapas Italian style) and there was a real lack of fresh items to choose from so came out pretty beige, but tasty. Service was pretty poor too. They did however career for vegans as I saw a whole vegan cichetti menu.
J. B.
Excellent food, squid ink linguine with prawns and squid and risotto. Both really tasty
G. K.
Easily the best Italian Restaurant in Belfast. Fabulous food and service. Will definitely call again next month
P. B.
Excellent restaurant with good food and service. Nice relaxing atmosphere.
Very popular with locals and tourists, St Anne’s Square is in the heart of the lively Cathedral Quarter.
It is a large restaurant and thriving when it is busy, I prefer it when it is a bit quieter.
One of Belfast’s leading restaurants, not cheap but good value for money.
N. B.
Good food, great service. Small portions, get a side
P. P.
Had a great evening at Coppi, brilliant food and the staff were really good. Would definitely recommend this place
L. M.
The best italian I've had in time! The aubergine starter was really delicious! The ravioli was quite good (and they served half a portion too), but the risotto was better.
J. N.
The bf and I were staying in a nearby Airbnb and decided to go here for dinner. It was super busy as it was Culture Night in Belfast but the staff did well to keep up good customer service throughout our visit.
We had 3 cichetti to start: duck ravioli (good), polenra chips (good) and lamb sausage (ok - wouldn't get again). For mains we had the chicken with mac & cheese, and the pork cutlet. My pork was good but nothing special (I needed to add extra salt, which I am usually loathe do) but the chicken was a disappointment as it was bland - even the mac & cheese! When we notified our waitress, they dealt with the situation very well and recooked the meal for my bf very quickly and to satisfaction.
This was my first time visiting so I don't know if it was the very busy night affecting things. But the staff were top notch.
The Romeo & Julietta red wine is v good too.
M. S.
One of the best meals I’ve had in Belfast. The seafood pasta dish was amazing. I tried the gnocchi too which was delicious. Great service and atmosphere. Will definitely be back soon!!!
A. B.
Really good food with great staff. Cocktails here are lovely. The restaurant has a great vibe.
A. C.
Very Friendly staff, good range of food on Menu. More lightening would have helped. It was too dim for me . Difficult to even read the Menu. Food very tasty and portions good.
S. T.
Amazing food, the duck ragu is out of this world. Friendly staff and fast service. Definitely on my favourite list!
C.
Excellent food. Lasagne was excellent, as was all the other dishes we got. The Cookie dessert was a real highlight! Would strongly recommend you add it to your food tour of Belfast
m. k.
Amazing as per usual!! My 2 year old son absolutely loves this place and their pizza
C. D.
The food is amazing. Every course topnotch. Ambience is a bit high turnover.
B. S.
Glad we gave this place another chance. The food was lovely.
C. T.
I've been here a few times and have never been let down. Flavoursome food, good service and tasty drinks. Will be back.
A. L.
Absolutely unreal! Great staff, great service, great food!!
J. S.
Beautiful food fantastic service. Orla made us feel so welcome and was able to accommodate us at short notice. Superb
L. B.
Really good food and good portion sizes. Disappointing to see plastic straws being used, so difficult to have guilt-free cocktails
D. K.
Staff were soo friendly and great service was provided. The food was absolutely fantastic 👌🏻 😋

Coppi
Since opening its doors in St Anne’s Square in 2012, Coppi has been one of our very favourite restaurant recommendations in the city centre. The contemporary New York style subway tiles, aged wood and subtle lighting create an intimate and relaxed vibe. Bicycle handlebar coat hooks pay homage to the restaurant’s namesake, Angelo Fausto Coppi.
Using many local ingredients, the talented chefs at Coppi have created an array of tempting Italian style dishes catering for all dietary requirements.
We started our meal with Cicchetti: small savoury snacks, typically served in the traditional Bacari Bars in Venice. The moreish Feta Fritters & Truffle Honey have been on the menu since the beginning, and we believe there would be an outcry if they were ever removed! We also loved the Tomato, Basil & Mozzarella Arancini, the King Prawn Pil Pil, and the Chilli Hummus with Pasta Crisps, all accompanied by crunchy Italian Breads and Tapenade.
For mains we had the Seafood Agnolotti stuffed with delicious Portavogie Prawns, Scallops & Crab in a rich Shellfish Bisque.
The Slaney Valley Lamb Chops were perfectly cooked and came with Pepperonata, Crispy Gnocchi, and Pistachio & Mint Pesto. There was also a beautiful fish special of Pan Fried Seabass with Crispy Gnocchi, Peas, Chard, & Sweet Roast Pepper Sauce.
Thanks, Coppi, for a wonderful evening of Italian indulgence.
P. M.
What can I say the food was first class I would recommend this place to everyone to come and try it what a brilliant place I can wait to go again
T. T. S.
Excellent food, great service team. One of my favourite restaurants in Belfast!
C. D.
Probably the best meal I’ve had this year. Everything was delicious and very fresh. Drinks menu was also good. Recommend the strawberry tequila cocktail.
In terms of COVID, one way system in place, all staff in face shields, ask to go to the bathroom and all cutlery / napkins wrapped individually for the table - felt very safe.
M. B.
Great Italian restaurant, food was really good and staff were really friendly
T. K.
Amazing food and great service. Third time here and we will be returning soon. Recommend the beef florentine for two.
R. A.
Pleasant staff and an interesting menu. The small pizzas are excellent as is the bucuccatini but the minestrone soup was too thick and peppery and lacking in vegetables
T.
Well done Coppi! Anti-Covid -19 set up is excellent. We felt safe and relaxed n trusted all staff were more than complying. The food was EXQUISITE, I had black olive crusted Haddock. I could taste each ingredient, this was such a treat. It really was a delicious. The staff were attentive and the cocktails just perfect, I had a couple of Lemon Drops 😁 Will most definitely dine here again.
A. M. B.
Lovely restaurant. nice atmosphere. excellent coffees and desserts. good food
J. D. S.
Nice presentation, quick, good service, reservations are necessary for dinner. Good food.
A. T.
Excellent quality, and the Italian tapas was a refreshing way to have a family meal. Will be back.
M. D.
Nice food, very busy place!
M. V.
Food was great, yet the service could be improved.
We were told our booking was changed by the system, then we were brought the wrong order, and an extra dish was added to the bill.
J. M.
Fab food and cocktails, and very helpful polite staff
N. M.
First lunch post Covid in Belfast. Nice experience. Ate outside under canopy. Food OK. Pleasant staff. Service good.
b. 1.
Thank you so much for a lovely lunch. Family catch up and service and relaxed atmosphere made it all the better.
P. J. N.
Never disappoints. Great food, great service.
R. B.
Very good quality food. Nice staff and helpfull.
W. S.
Great food and service and reasonably priced too
S. Z.
Lovely place~food is tasty too
a. q.
Staff pleasant. Service very good. Fish dishes not good.
N. D.
Amazing food and cocktails, staff were extremely careful with COVID regulations which was great to see and service was really quick. I've been here before years ago but definitely would be inclined to come back again soon! I recommend the duck fritters and the carbonara pasta.
R. C.
Food was super delicious and service was good!
C. C.
Possibly my favourite restaurant in Belfast. Menu just gets better and better and lovely to see a full vegan range as well. The Duck Fritters are excellent and something I haven't seen anywhere else. Locally sourced ingredients make it environmentally friendly and supportive of other local businesses. Also gives Coppi a real authentic Belfast Vibe. Had a Belfast Gin Slinger cocktail which was delicious.
Given the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic, I should say that Coppi handled this in an exemplary fashion. Tables were nicely spaced and each table had their own bag with side plates, cutlery and napkins. Felt very safe.
The staff were so personable and really added to a lovely evening.
S. Q.
Had the tasting menu on a Friday night which was absolutely spectacular. Some of the best food I've had in Belfast. Service was attentive without being invasive. It's a small restaurant so it can get a bit loud sometimes but other than that it's a pleasant atmosphere.
D. M.
Great atmosphere, well priced, lovely food and fantastically fast service.
Chichetti + Sour Dough Breads are a must
C. H.
Amazing food. Recommended to us and very pleased to be able to get a table. We had the smoked salmon and the scallop fishcake starters. Plus the seafood curry and sea bream mains and one sticker toffee pudding. Would thoroughly recommend.
D. E.
Duck Ragu
Feta frita
Monkfish scallopini
M. C.
Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful experience. Very reasonably priced for the quality of the food served!
The food was amazing! Great specials! The Duck Ragu is so good 3/4 of our party had it.
Thanks to the hostess who was able to deduce which member of the party was the birthday girl with no hints! The birthday card was a lovely touch. A favourite place to dine!
t.
Excellent food. Had the goat Ragu from the special menu, a rich meat, but full of flavour. Just never tried goat before and was glad I did. I could quiet easily eat any item on the menu though. All sound good, and any other dishes I seen coming from the kitchen looked unreal. A really good restaurant to bring friends, unlikely to disappoint. All sides very tasty too.
C. P.
Had dinner there last night with a large group. Staff are lovely and attentive, fixing anything quickly and no hassle, a really good example of how serves should be and should be an example for the rest of Belfast.
Lovely menu, very concise with great options for all tastes. Food arrived quickly and was delicious. All in all very good for the price.
P. H.
An excellent restaurant for an authentic Italian! Friendly staff, lovely food, great drinks and the world's best feta fritters.
C. M.
Went for a late lunch and was delicious. The place was very busy and quality and presentation of the food were top drawer. Only negative I had was it was uncomfortably warm where we were seated near the the kitchen hatch although I am sensitive to anywhere being slightly warm, most other people usually find the room temperature fine.
C. C.
Went went here for lunch on a busy Saturday, with a baby and a toddler. The staff were very accommodating in regards seating arrangements which can sometimes be awkward in some restaurants.
The food as usual was fantastic. Our toddler loved her pizza and they brought it out with our starters.
Everything from starters to coffee was great. We'll definitely go back as a family again.
M. D.
Love the menu. Great ambience and atmosphere. Stuff really helpful. We rocked on without a booking and they went out of their way for us on the night.
P. A.
Very reasonable bottled wine prices!
p. m.
Great food and atmosphere, good covid safety too. Friendly service is just the icing on the cake. I had the fish of the day (cod) and it was really good.
G. C.
Great food, great service and good safety protocols. Love it
D. C.
We were kept waiting a long time for someone to take our order but when our food came it was delicious.
D. W.
Very impressed at the processes in place for covid. Felt very safe and had a lovely evening out. Food was delicious and staff very friendly. Loved the idea of all crockery and cutlery in a bag on the table, great idea.
D. M.
Terrible wine, tasted gone off. Told the waitress who wasn't very helpful. If that's how the malbec is meant to taste then you need to choose better wines to go with you good.
C. W.
A pleasant surprise I must say, first time I've eaten duck, and the steak was nice too. A real pleasant atmosphere, if not a tad dimly lit. I would definitely go back, oh and the loos were clean too, I loved the taps.
B. H.
Visited Coppi on a very busy Friday night before attending an event in the Mac with five cycling friends.
The welcome was warm and the service excellent.
The food was exactly what I expected from an Italian. It was rustic and full of flavour.
P. H.
Nice food. Went here for a work dinner so was given a limited menu but the dishes were decent. Drinks were very good, probably the best espresso martini I have had in Belfast so far. The staff were friendly and were there for anything you needed. The smoking area left something to be desired.
D. S.
I heard great things about it but was a bit disappointed with the food, maybe I was unlucky with my choice but the gnocchi and chicken weren't anything special and just quite oily. Nice dessert though, great atmosphere and staff
P. K.
This place is great!
expectation were not too high to be honest as i have eaten at places like this in London before - but the food was so good !
had the duck fritter and sausage for starer - was amazing, smoked chicken for main - again amazing. highly recommend - cant wait to go back top Belfast for more!
A. C.
Italian in Belfast. I usually avoid Italian restaurants abroad. This was the best one I've ever been around Ireland. Everything was delicious from the main to the dessert coffe included, and Italians know exactly how hard is to find a good coffe around. Prices were quite ok. The best was Maria the waitress. She was super. Thanks a lot ♥️
D. H.
Good food and helpful in adapting dishes to dietary requirements
A. B.
One of the best meals we had in Belfast. We couldn't decide which pasta dish to get.. the waitress suggested we get a half order of each. We had no idea that was possible.. it was amazing. Staff was so friendly. Gorgeous space.
M. M.
One of the best in Belfast. Can be expensive but money can also be saved without the comprise of quality. They do so much small starters and meals to share. Cocktails are pretty good. Other drinks good usual restaurant prices wine was also excellent.
W. R. R.
Good enough... went with some friends and I liked what I had. Food was good, environment is good too and nice staff.
What let us down was the menu, it doesn't say if that dish is spicy or not. If you don't like spicy food you'd like to know that.
That happened to my friends, they don't like spicy food and one of their dishes was a bit spicy which bothered them a lot. I had the same dish and it was fine for me, but I like spicy food. However I didn't expect it'd be spicy but I didn't mind either.
I'd recommend that. Add some ingredients detail into the menu
m. b.
Booked a table for three on a Sunday afternoon. Arrived on time and we were seated and drinks ordered very quickly. Main meals ordered, one vegan, one fish lover, and one carnivore. Food was served promptly and was fantastic. Good fish and vegan dishes available. If your a meat eater you have plenty of choice. Check it out.
F.
great atmosphere, excellent food and their service is top notch! It would be one of my top choices for eating out in Belfast. It's only few minutes walk from cathedral Quarter where there are plenty of bars such as Duke of York and Harp bar.
R. D.
My favourite restaurant. The food is always amazing, staff friendly, great selection of drinks and lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. A bit on the pricier side but definitely get what you pay for. It's quite central in the city and close to many bars and nightlife, as well as a car park and transport links. The only downside is some of the seating areas are a bit cramped, however you usually have a choice of seating.
Would highly recommend this restaurant.
A. M.
Great menu and delicious Italian food
M. C.
The menu has a nice selection of original Italian dishes. From risotto to pasta and some interesting entrees that you can mix and match. The service was fast and friendly and the prices are quite reasonable for the quality. We really enjoyed our meals. One note is that the place is really busy so reserve well in advance
J. G.
I was not overly impressed!
We're as the service was fantastic, I was let down majorly by the food!
My fish mean was cold, jam packed with sun-dried tomatoes and wouldn't of filled a hole in your tooth!
Dessert wasn't enough for one and we made the mistake of sharing one.
A. W.
We were lucky to get a last minute reservation in Coppi and it's a lively place. There was a good selection on the menu and the food itself was fantastic. Would definitely recommend checking out this restaurant if you are visiting Belfast.
M. f.
Just had a little taster here as we were having dinner later. Antipasti was very tasty with two interesting "cici"(?). We chose duck ravioli and pasta tacos. Both very tasty. Place was very busy, but good service and nice atmosphere. Would love to go back and try more of the menu.
P. G.
Very decent modern italian restaurant. Service good, fast, attentive and friendly. Menu a good mix of some classics and some modern. Everything we had was excellent. Some good cocktails to be had also which is always a welcome sign.
M. V.
Sunday afternoon antipasti share plates FABULOUS, however main course was little disappointing probably due to the amazing platter to start also could have been a bigger piece of fish for £17 not really worth the price but tasted ok. Wine was great but must be prepared to spend to get the best ours was £30 but was GREAT...
A. D.
The food here was lovely. The vegan menu was more extensive than most places, and it wasn't just "salads and tofu". I had proper vegan pasta dishes!
Plus, the bar staff made some delicious espresso martinis. It was entertaining to watch them at work! I've worked in a restaurant similar to this back in Canada, and I haven't seen such an efficient, well-versed set of staff at work in a very long time.
Pros:
- Food quality was excellent
- Bar staff and drinks were also great
Cons:
- I probably should have made a reservation (my bad!)
Bottom line: Great experience, and we'll be back when we come back to Belfast!
S. C.
Friday night late booking so we're pleased to get a table. Food was good hubby a bit underwhelmed by the fish if the day but my vegan selections were lush. Nice rexaled dinning, good food and a nice busy atmosphere.
N. B.
Great location. Fantastic food and service. Bring my American colleagues here when they visit Belfast and they also rave about the place. Love the cichetti - Italian-style tapas dishes for sharing. Great drinks selection.
S. H.
Awesome place for food either in groups or couples. Modern food made with fresh local artisan suppliers and a great atmosphere.
Staff are more than willing to talk you through the menu and suggest pairing etc.
It's location in the middle of the Cathedral quarter makes access easy and very close to several bars and clubs of varying types.
Can't wait to return, Just for the antipasti board.
L. P.
All the food we had there was delicious, particularly the lasagne and the olive tapenade that comes with the breads.
C. M.
I planned my sister's hen party meal for Coppi at the beginning of February.
Absolutely amazing, so so pleased and couldn't recommend it any higher.
The staff were fantastic but more importantly, the food was fantastic. A group of girls with a very diverse food palette left very satisfied. Something for everyone.
Thank you Kate for being so accommodating (and the fancy big table, it suited the occasion perfectly).
Already looking forward to my next meal/event there.
K. G.
Really impressed on our first visit here - food was excellent and we were well attended by pleasant staff .Their hygiene regime was first class too - would have no worries going back here in future weeks
B. W.
I think this is my favourite restaurant in Belfast. Their small plates are delicacies and a must. I have had the duck ragu several times and it is legendary. Didn't think Belfast had such good quality places like this.
A must!!
k. b.
Good choice of vegetarian dishes. I had a selection of the cichetti and they were lovely. My pasta dish was fab. Too full for desert unfortunately as I really wanted to try the tiramisu. Lovely interior and the staff were great. Would recommend.
N.
I went this evening 14/03 for dinner for my birthday. My wife made the booking and mentioned that it was a birthday and requested a nice table on the side. We got seated in the middle of the restaurant which to be fair was not directly on top of the table next to us and quiet enough so it was fine. I didn't really want my wife to mention my birthday but she did. The table next to us got a cup cake with candles for I guess a birthday and I got nothing. I don't expect anything anyway and it's not a law but maybe a nice gesture. Staff here are very friendly and polite I would like to return in the future.
M. “. T.
The foods were all great. I especially liked their thin crust smoked chicken pizza and meatballs. Thanks to choices of small plate dishes and pizza selections, my wife and I were able to enjoy more varieties of dishes than usual. The staff were very friendly and courteous.
A. O.
Great food for a family. Very tasty with lots of new things to try. I brought 5+8yr old and they loved it too. Good value, helpful staff and nice atmosphere to eat in. Chocolate & Salted Caramel torta is a must.
L.
I visit here every now and then with my girlfriend and we are never disappointed. I get the smoked chicken raviolini every time and she looks forward to the vegan brownie. I frequently recommend to family visiting Belfast if they need a nice place to eat out
W. G.
The place is really nice, trendy decor and music. The cichetti were REALLY good. Otherwise, the wine bottle was opened at the bar before being served at our table, which was not acceptable (we have not made a case about it)... I mean... was it really our wine in the bottle? Still very good tough. Our pastas were okay. We might have made wrong choices. The homemade pasta were a nice touch and it showed that they were fresh. I had the special, which was rabbit pasta and found two bones. Maybe it is normal? I do not know, it is only my second time having rabbit. Our waiter was courteous. The Tiramisu was a little too much coffee for my taste, but my mother liked it a lot!
G. T.
This was the second time I've eaten here, the first time was great, not so great the second time. ( and it was not any busier). Mix up in kitchen meant mains came before starters, took ages for them to arrive. My Caesar salad was the worst I've had ....and the service slow. The good points.... The seafood pasta was apparently very nice. They acknowledged the poor experience by not charging for starters or my Caesar salad and bringing a chocolate desert for my friends birthday. They couldn't have done any more and it is the mark of good customer service that they made an effort to make up for the poor experience.
L. B.
A great selection of Italian food including a delicious vegan menu. Staff could not have been more accommodating and welcoming, thank you. Great selection of drinks/wine. Reasonably priced and a lovely atmosphere!
T. B.
Always great food, love Coppi, never disappoints. Perfect place to dine with friends and great choice for visitors to the city. Enjoyed lunch on Sat as the final destination of the Belfast taste tour.
J. M.
Atmosphere is lovely, great buzz. Attentive staff. We had a platter for a starter. Not impressed with it all, but the bread was really fresh. It reminded me of traditional Italian bread. The salami tasted like it was freshly cut. For mains I had fish whish was very filling. And my other half had the steak. It wasn't cooked as he requested and the rocket salad had the balsamic dressing on the top, so as you can a imagine the first bite was a bit of a shock. We did say to the waitress who apologized and gave us 2 limocello on the house. A nice gesture for an expensive steak. All in all, it was nice, but nothing special.
L. Z.
Excellent restaurant. I tried the 10-pound 2-course lunch during the restaurant week and the food tastes great. The size is not big but not a big deal for us (it is just £10 after all).
P. M.
Amazing contemporary Italian food, I've never had a bad meal (Or drink for that matter as the cocktails are 10/10), you couldn't fault the service.
It's easy to tell that the Coppi team have thought about every little detail from the Menus down to the decor. Can't wait to go back :D
J. G.
Recommendations from a friend to eat at Coppi and what a great find. Delicious fresh pasta and amazing wines. Cool ambiance, a real New York kinda fibe. Open kitchen where people are working really hard to give you a dining experience to never forget.
C. S.
My favourite restaurant!
Can never ever fault service or food!
We always have a good experience and the vegan brownie is a fab dairy free option for dessert!
I cannot recommend this place enough.
A. K.
Incredible restaurant and incredible food and wine selection. Ended up going back 3 times in 4 days! The ragu pasta is simply perfect and would rate more than 5 stars if it were possible. Highly recommended for Belfast!
C. W.
Nice sharing platters and wine.

The best Italian restaurant I've been to outside of Italy. The Cicchetti (small snacks or side dishes typically served in Venice) are worth the price of admission alone. They are little mini works of art. My personal favourite was the Feta Fritters in Truffle Honey. The menu has a great variety and range of price points (as has the wine list). Vegans and vegetarians are very well catered for.
S. C.
Great food and fantastic service, we let the waitress order for us and there wasn't an unhappy belly at the table! Would highly recommend the place...weird taps in the bathroom though!
R. D.
Coppi was a great and cozy place. Seating takes a bit of time, and the entrees were generally quite good. What was exceptional were the honey feta fritters. If you are there, you really must order these! Very unique and everyone commented on how good they were.
f.
Great restaurant. Great service considering they are always packed, you get a sense that they really care about your custom. Cocktails are on point and the vegan/vegetarian menu is a big hit
M. M.
Music absolutely pain In the neck.
Why play it?
No need for it
E. R.
Great Italian restaurant conveniently located in St Anne's square in the Cathedral Quarter. The food was very tasty and the drinks were good too! The staff were very friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend.
S. C.
The food was good. The staff were helpful, but and is a big but, the background music was too loud and absolutely awful repetitive drum and bass which ruined the ambience of the restaurant. The restaurant was full when we got there and people seemed to be competing with the music to make themselves heard during conversation. So for this very reason I'm afraid only three stars.
D. P.
Nothing bad to say. Fantastic food, and good service.
The cicchetti were delicious, I recommend the feta and truffle honey or spicy sausage.
The duck ragu and ravioli main was very tasty.
Followed by cannoli and an espresso. Great Italian dessert.
The cocktails were also great, try the Winter Serenity (?) I think thats the name.. Maybe I had one too many.
The price was expensive enough but thats just city centre prices. If I'm going to pay it anyway id rather be paying here.
S. S.
The staff were absolutely lovely and went above and beyond when I picked one thing from the menu and wished to change the main ingredient. The atmosphere is gorgeous and relaxing, absolutely lovely to be there
E. N.
Fantastic food, fantastic staff & fantastic front of house. We had my sister’s 30th here and it was brilliant. Couldn’t have asked for more helpful staff.
N. C.
Nice interiors, in a cool little area. Food very solid, and a good way to try different things with tapas-style Cicchetti. Mains and wine by glass selection slightly limited, but still some good options. Staff very helpful too.
C. I.
Great food, if a little on the small side for their portions. Good service and good atmosphere
G. M.
No bad. Seating arrangements to facilitate waiters moving in and out was uncomfortable to say the least. Having a business meeting with someone sitting next to you rather than opposite you is awkward. We eventually just asked to move outside.
P. M.
This was the first time at Coppi for my wife and I and I can assure you that it will definitely not be the last. As it was my son's 30th Birthday, he got to choose the restaurant for the eight of us. Haven been there a mere 12 times previously, he's become just a little familiar with the menu etc.
We started with a selection of Cichetti & Pizzetta, which were gloriously tasty. On Conor's recommendation four of us opted for the DUCK RAGU, PORCINI MUSHROOM RAVIOLI, PARMESAN & TRUFFLE as our main and my word, it did not disappoint.
From start to finish the staff were extremely attentive, helpful and polite. Everything was served quite promptly and efficiently, but we were never rushed. Even at the end, as I advised them about moving a bin in the disabled toilet, to allow for a better wheelchair turning circle, they thanked me profusely, stating that they would not otherwise have been in a position to know this.
If you have never been to Coppi, treat yourselves to an exceptional dining experience.
I for one cannot wait to go back.
A. P.
I visited Coppi for dinner over the weekend with family for a birthday dinner. We had booked a table in advance for 7pm and arrived on time to a very busy restaurant. The server informed us that the people before us at our table were just finishing up and directed us to a waiting area beside the bar. We didn't mind at first as we were still waiting for a few members of our party to show up, however it ended up being over a 20 minute wait which was not an ideal start. At the end of the night when the waitress brought the bill, she said she took the two desserts off the bill as an apology for the wait. We thought this was a very thoughtful gesture especially as we hadn't complained about the wait at all.
When we did get seated at our table, the waitress that was taking our orders was very friendly and chatty and made us feel very welcome.
For a starter, I ordered 3 Chichetti - Feta fritters, duck fritters and arancini. All three were incredible! They were so flavoursome and the perfect portion size. I could have happily sat and ate them all night!
For a main, I ordered the Calabrese Sausage Risotto. Once again, this was very tasty and enjoyable. However, it is worth noting that the sausage is quite spicy (which is to be expected of Calabrese sausage).
Finally, for dessert I ordered the amaretto panna cotta. This was a lovely, light and sweet dish to finish the meal off. The one downside though was I found the fruit compote on the top to be a bit overwhelming and therefore I couldn't really taste the amaretto flavour of the panna cotta, which was a shame.
Overall, my family and I loved Coppi and really enjoyed every aspect of our meal. It was great to see the restaurant so busy especially on a Sunday night! I can't wait to return to Coppi in the future to try more of their dishes. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
H. M.
Me and my boyfriend come here for special occasions. Most recently we came for our birthday (we share our bday). I noted on the reservation that it was our birthday, not expecting anything, but when we ordered dessert the waitress had put two birthday candles on our cake!! I thought this was so so nice and not at all expected. She took our photo too!
D. M.
Meal, restaurant and staff were amazing.
S. G.
great place with outstanding food. Drinks are on point. Next time I'm in Belfast I am definitely coming back to Coppi.
Edit: didn't mean to put one star. I think I accidentally hit that when Google asked me what I thought about coppi.
A. G.
This is an excellent restaurant cooking authentic italian food. It is not a 'big chain' style of food. If you like italian food, you'll love this!
s. f.
Ate here last night with my girlfriend. Absolute fantastic meal, duck ragu is to die for. Staff are very friendly and the atmosphere in the place id great. Definitely go back again
K. M.
This is easily one of my favorite places to eat in Belfast. The bread appetizer plate is so good. Everything is amazing really, highly recommend the duck Ragu.
J. M.
From start to finish. Always fantastic. Can't get enough of this place and great specials and cocktails on offer daily. Definitely one of my top five places to eat in Belfast
P. F.
The food was nice, portions a bit smal . Worst wine I've had in a long time in a restaurant, it tasted gone off, was brought to the table open and no tasting given.
S. V. M. d. O. (.
Went there on my last visit to Belfast with friends and had a lovely dinner there.
Good food, good service and excellent wine.
If the chairs had been more comfy we would have stayed longer
C. B.
A very good meal and good atmosphere. Although my dining companions first choice was unavailable the friendly staff suggested very good off menu alternatives that worked. Recommended.
B. S.
Third time visiting this great Italian.
Second time availing of the 4-8-4 lunch menu.
Excellent food at a great price.
Prompt, friendly service.
I will be back.
V. H.
The food was delicious. The only thing I didn't like was as we walked in the door there was a huge bunch of lilies. I suffer badly from hayfever. We had booked a table and they showed us to the table beside the lillies! I asked if we could be moved and we got a table right at the other side of the restaurant, which was great. I could however still smell the lillies throughout the meal! I mentioned it on the way out and the staff member was quite blunt. She just said that they had lillies for years. Obviously they don't take hayfever as condition very seriously. I won't be going back even though the food was amazing.
C. C.
Went here with my office colleagues and the food and atmosphere were both fantastic. Took a while for food as it was Belfast Culture night and the place was packed solid but staff were attentive and when food arrived it was all fabulous. Super spot for groups.
P. M.
Attended with a group of 8 and they were all delighted with it. I went for the vegan option and shouldn't have. Will know for again. Atmosphere was great
d. m.
Super pleased with the service, everything sanitised, cutlery etc wrapped on table, all staff very helpful and taking safety precautions, and cocktails were lovely, will be back soon
F. M.
Staff are absolutely lovely, pasta dishes are unreal! A very very positive experience, authentic Italian food, nice atmosphere, good wine, what else could you want.
J. T.
Friendly staff and good food and a decent selection of ales and beers
A.
Fantastic food and great service. Cosy atmosphere too. Really enjoyed it.
M. V.
A beautiful modern and warming place, I have been welcomed with a smile and served in a reasonable time.
I started with a delicious cocktail "Winter serenity" so good! Then a main dish Bucatini alla primavera "a pure heaven" finally a dessert of the day " Dolci" sumptuous!
I totally recommend that place, you must stop there if you're going to Belfast 😁
A. D.
Beautiful artisan food, stylish and warm decor, very friendly and attentive staff, (will take your coat and check on you, nothing is too much trouble).... I come here often and each time it's been 10/10 despite being packed out with customers.
Top quality restaurant for Italian food. They also have a vegan menu and vegan wine by the glass, I often get a *delicious* shiraz.
You may have to wait a short while at the front bar for a table as many people have caught on to the standard of this Italian gem- this is a good sign! And it's not for long, you can get mezze or platters and drinks, all the usual things, while waiting for the free table at the front bench.
My only recommendation is to order a side as you won't be served a hearty 'Belfast portion', it's quality over quantity here, and every bit worth it.
M. J.
This was just like being back in Italy. We got 5 cichettes, fish, and a pasta dish. Everything was delicious!
The staff was fantastic, the setting lovely and the food delicious. What more could you ask for?
G. H.
Staff were all helpful and offered other sitting when it became cold outside after dining
N. W.
AMAZINGGGGGGG
Love the new menu🥰
D. C.
Delicious food as always
H. B.
Great atmosphere, food is top class and reasonably priced and the service is exceptional. Friendly, attentive and warm staff. Definitely recommend a visit in Belfasts trendy Cathedral Quarter!
P. C.
Tasty little pizzas, attentive staff and rustic decor. Only complaint is the confined area if sitting at a table for two. We were seated in a very cramped corner with seats touching the customer behind. If this was corrected I would go back.
K. K.
The service was great. Food was average. Nothing comparable to Italian restaurants in Europe that I am used to. Good ambience.
S. T.
Italian food in belfast genuinely doesn't get better than this!
J. V.
I was sceptical at first, but there is a reason it always ranks high. Food was delicious, service was excellent, and price was reasonable. Who knew the Irish could do Italian this well? Would recommend.
C. M.
Good food and staff, nice atmosphere in the square
A. C.
Delicious food and friendly staff.
A. W.
Service is great and eating area is spacious, but I'm not keen on the menu. Prawn on pizza!!
S.
Place feels great. Food not so great but still decent. Portion sizes are small for the price.
A. W.
Good food though they try to cram too many tables into the space - we were put in a tiny, claustrophobic corner. The staff were decent but the restaurant was understaffed considering the amount of tables they have to serve. Wouldn't return quickly.
J. L.
Really good food, fabulous service. I had duck Ragu which was excellent. Recommend. Tempted to go again but only here for the weekend.
C. C.
The food is top quality with a great menu, good choice of wines and beers, the staff are always fantastic and work really hard. I would give this place a 5 but the uncomfortable chairs and table layout can leave you dissatisfied. A small 2 seater table for three people is never going to be comfortable either. It's a shame really.
D. S.
Always a great place for a meal. Staff are friendly and will help with anything on the menu. Great place for vegans and kid friendly
G. N.
Great service. Great food. Everyone was friendly. Dealing with covid guidelines really well.
T. K.
Awesome steak cooked to perfection and I'm from Argentina so I know a thing or two about beef.Atmosphere is vibrant and sttaff are super attentive. It was also a very reasonable bill after a perfect gin and tonic.
T. L.
After the marathon, I needed some recovery fuel. We decided on Coppi, a fairly new Italian place in St. Anne’s square that features sharable tapas like dishes.
The Sicilian braised Goat pizza comes served on this little platter either a tiny old man made in Italy or what might be the tires from our last rental car. The goat is crispy and tangy and after a few bites, packs a tingly punch. Don’t skip it unless you hate delicious little tin can eating mammals.
The Cabrese pasta was recommended by our friendly locals so all four of us ended up ordering it. Worth it! The peppers and chili oil combined for a fiery spice that continued to grow throughout the meal, sort of like a good ramen. The cheese was sliced paper thin, so it melted consistently into the pasta and made it creamier. do like our friends and order this once, and you’ll love it so much you never try anything else.
Last up was the hazelnut pudding. The ice cream melted into the “pudding” which we were surprised to find wasn’t jello instant pudding, but more like a bread pudding. It paired very well with the house espresso which true to their Italian roots, was excellent and served with a biscotti.
The staff was exceptionally friendly and comped a misplaced coffee order for us.
j.
Vibrant buzzing restaurant with amazing food....recommend their tapas selection which are excellent. ..generous portions too...Have been here 3 times and each time consistently brilliant
N. J.
Great Italian place in the city. A good selection of food, with tapas style starters. The decor has an industrial vibe to it. Staff were very helpful and curtious. I'd recommend this place to anyone.
C. M.
Such a great establishment 👍
Great staff, decor and environment.Food was great.
Could not fault the experience even if I tried.
Keep up the good work
B. M.
Was put off by here previously by how dark it is inside. But was pleasantly surprised by it this time. The food is delicious, the staff were grand. A pleasant evening with friends.
J. M.
Good value 4-8-4 three course lunch menu. All courses x 2 of excellent quality. Cannot recommend highly enough!
T. T.
They have a vegan menu and the food is delicious.
We sat at the bar and watching the barmen making cocktails was such a good dinner show 😂
K. D.
Vibrant and delicious. A busy fast moving space with lovely well cooked, presented food. It's expensive but worth it for a treat.
K. C. G.
Super nice place! We arrived without book a table and the staff were kind... Found a table for us, food good cost-benefit!
S. M.
Buzzing with energy, fantastic for communal meals. They knock it out of the park with their pizza and risotto. Authentic Italian dishes recreated with local Irish ingredients.
A. J.
Nice ambience and amazing food.
C. M.
Always a superb standard of food and the service is usually very prompt too, although can be a little slow if it's really busy. Totally acceptable though, and worth it for the quality of the food and drinks!
N. L.
Lovely cuisine in quirky surroundings. Staff asked was everything ok and were helpful, but lacked 100% honest warmth
A. M.
My favourite restaurant! Amazing food and lovely cocktails. Great variety for vegetarians too
L. M.

C. B.
Exquisite food in a classy venue.
J. B.
Great food, lovely atmosphere... Well worth a visit. Seafood ravioli a treat.
A. E.
Had dinner here last night, the food was awesome and the service outstanding. The only thing was that the Panna cotta had no wobble and was more like a mousse, however the flavour of the Panna cotta was amazing.
B. M.
Impressive place delicious food and excellent service. Want to go back
M. M.
Some of the best italian food I had ever. Very nice staff. A bit dark inside but very positive experience.. highly recommended.
R. H.
The cicchetti, pizzetta, pasta and cocktails were all unreal, garlic potatoes were slightly overdone though but the rest of the food made up for it. Had a great night!
J. A.
A very different selection of food but delicious and not too expensive. Nice interior and friendly staff. No nearby parking.
M. H.
Had the portafogie prawns stàrter was very disappointed the prawns were more like shrimps and were white very little taste the bread was dry and no dressing on the lettuce, had a side order of crispy garlic potatoes again disappointed they were not crispy they were soggy finished with a chocolate, hazelnut caramel tart with vanilla gelato which tasted like vanilla ice cream was not impressed and will not be back.
W. W.
Delicious! Had the 1kg ribeye to share between two. Really tasty and not bad price for what you're getting
D. C.
excellent menu and incredible wait staff delivering a love and beyond service and customer experience. I'll be back!
T. D.
3 course meal for Christmas lunch for £25 was literally perfect. 5 star quality food at a reasonable price. I'd have expected to pay more.
