Wonderful evening out. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. The food was great, we went as a group of 6 and every one really enjoyed their meals so much I didn't get to take photos. Mom's quite fussy, but even she was pleased. We were so comfortable, we had cocktails and even desserts, everything was beautifully presented. Was offered recyclable containers for any left overs. Such a warm environment with low music in the background. We will definitely return!

Mamma Mia !! A really decent place for a decent Italian food at a decent price. To be honest, some items could be better but overall no complaints. The location and decor makes up for everything. Nice big place with lots of seating available and great customer service. Must try - Carbonara, and Arancini balls.

Had the mini calzones as a starter and for £3.99 a portion of 2 were not worth it. I ate them in 2 bites. Very stingy portioning. However the ‘Pollo Saltimbocca’ was a very nice dish and recommended. Friend had a 241 code via email sign up so this made up for the small portion control!

Friendly service. Accommodated us as a walk in (had been prepared to book the next day). Food sublime, beautifully cooked and presented. More than happy to box up what we couldn't finish, into a recyclable take away container. Merlot red wine smooth and fruity. Staff efficient, organised and professional. Only saw three members of staff on the floor, they never stopped. Well organised team.

Tasty food and nice atmosphere in the restaurant. We went with friends and had a good lunch . Several items not available but plenty of other items to choose from . I rated this restaurant a 3 star because although the food was okay the portions were very small compared to just a couple of years ago. The decor was tastefully done but they totally forgot about the toilets. The service was good. Lovely, kind and pleasant staff.

My girlfriend and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary at the same Bella Italia as we visited for our very first date. Amy was our server and she's one of the loveliest people in the industry ! The other gentleman was very attentive too but I didn't catch his name, their attitudes only added to the delicious food. Thank you to the whole team for a fantastic meal!

Absolutely fantastic! After early shopping with my friend, decided to pop in for a quick lunch to your Bella Italia in Birmingham. We were greeted by a lovely pregnant She took our details for track and trace, explained safe practices in place and menu , asked us where we would like to sit. We decided to sit outside as the weather was gorgeous! Our wonderful waitress explained new chicetti and unavailable items. We ordered calamari and garlic dough balls, to follow by 2 pastas. My friend chose fresh pasta in creamy mushroom sauce and I ordered my favourite Prawn pasta. Food was delicious, well seasoned and just right portions. Both had mocktails, tropical cooler and mint and strawberry. Very refreshing, not too sweet and presented wonderfully. Over all, top scores ! Service was friendly, prompt and not in your face. Portion sizes just perfect and bill wont break your bank. We will be back!

Whole network of "Bella Italia" keeps the same/similar standard therefore I knew I'm in for a treat and I wasn't disappointed. If you love pasta or pizza you will enjoy the place. I would calle it street food but street food which came from Italy: simple and delicious. Decent choice of wines and desserts will make the place something more than just a street food and if you will have a lovely staff to serve you probably you'd enjoy like I had.

Went here for a meal before a theatre trip. It can get very busy on the weekends but this doesn't effect the amazing service! I was in a bit of a rush to get to the theatre and never got a chance to tell my server how great he was. These staff don't get enough credit! Great food, great prices, great staff, 10/10!!

Just a Pizza and pasta joint? Couldn't be more wrong! I've not eaten here in more than 20 years, preferring the more swanky San Carlo and making the mistake of using Gino's restaurant a few weeks ago. We were only out for a couple of beers and a bite to eat so not a formal night by any measure. Hadn't booked anything but despite being Saturday evening, we were accommodated very quickly. Amy was our waitress and despite having several tables to deal with, she was very attentive and knowledgeable on the the menu. Prawns with chillies and garlic (Gamberi Aglio), for starters was certainly Restaurant quality and a decent portion size too. The wife then had Pollo Cacciatore which was very tasty and I decided to mix things up a bit. I wrongly assumed that things like the Calzone would be pre-prepared and just warmed up. Amy assured me that everything was freshly made and I could make my own Calzone. Not physically go to the kitchen but ask chef to add ingredients, so I did. Absolutely amazing! As good as I have eaten anywhere in the world, including Italy. Price is very reasonable and as I have already touched on, the service we received from Amy was amazing. Would certainly recommend this an evening meal and if your lucky enough to get Amy as your waitress then you will not go far wrong.

What can I say about Bella Italia it was so busy on Saturday but to their credit the service and food was excellent. We ordered expecting a long wait but was surprised by how quick we were served. Myself and my partner enjoyed our visit today we have always liked Bella Italia so thought we would try the one in Birmingham. Very nice environment and not too busy. Professional staff and good service. Starter and mains were really good, I had the lasagne which tasted amazing! Reasonably priced. Only negative I can say is the puddings we didn't enjoy, the brownies were very dry and weren't very nice. Apart from that a nice evening with good food and will come again.

Lots of options to cater for most eaters, with dedicated vegetarian and vegan menus. There was a bit of a wait for the starters and then again with the mains. Impressed with the dessert. Really pleasant looking restaurant and the food was nice. Service could definitely be improved. There was a lot of attention on the table next to us but we felt ignored. They arrived after us but their orders were taken before ours. At one point there were 2 servers checking that they had everything they needed (& they did) while we had been waiting a good 10mins or more to order more drinks. We weren't asked if everything was ok or if we needed anything at any point. Our server was always very polite & friendly when we got her attention but it would have been nice if she was a bit more proactive with us as she was with the other table. Needless to say no tip.

We were accommodated early for our booking which was good and service was prompt and friendly, surroundings were clean and tidy. Our courses arrived in good time and were tasty, not sure if this venue is offering a limited menu or not but a seafood risotto which was shown on the on-line menu was not available on the in-store menu. One minor point was that the garlic dough ball starter was rather meager as far a portion size but otherwise an enjoyable experience. I would really like the lamb Ragu and pasta dish to return though as that was my favourite!

Husband and I are here to try out their new menu. As usual we got excellent service and the food was delicious. I started with the mussels italiano in white wine sauce whilst my husband had his favourite bruschetta. The mussels sauce was AMAZING! I could have had that as just a soup it was so good! It was smooth and savoury and complimented the saltiness of the mussels. It came with a nice slice of crusty bread to soak up the remaining sauce. The bruschetta was firm and crunchy with a large amount of toppings. My husband couldn't get enough of it. We followed it up with spaghetti marinara and diavola forte pizza. The spaghetti was delish! My only comment would be they need to be careful with calamari. It could easily become over cooked (aka rubbery). Mine was just on the verge of going that way but was still tender. Problem is the heat of the pasta continues to cook the seafood and getting calamari just perfect is hard to do. My husband's pizza was perfect! I snuck a couple bites. The bread was the authentic italian flavour! The recipe was spot on! Word of warning - the sausage is very spicy and it's Cajun spicy not Asian. Totally different kind of heat which best had with a beer not milk. For a finish we had a cioccolata mousse and a sicilian lemon cheesecake. That mousse is STRONG CHOCOLATE. Amazing and smooth as a mousse should be. The shortbread pearls gave a bit of caramel flavour to it that takes it to another level. The lemon cheesecake is TART. I love tart desserts like those lemon Herbert's so if you don't like a strong lemony tart this isn't for you. It's perfect for me tho. I loved the lemon drizzle around it and the creamy topping. I've included photos of our meal. All in all an amazing dinner and an exciting new menu! Thank you Bella Italia and we'll see you soon!

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed the creamy mushroom pasta from this place. Bella Italia serves with relatively good prices, especially if you take advantage of the set menu and the food is great. There are plenty of vegetarian options available and the atmosphere in these restaurants is nice, not too noisy despite how busy it is too. Will definitely be revisiting at some point soon.

Me, my partner and our young child were having a day out shopping in Birmingham, and wondered into this restaurant. We weren't expecting much (not that we don't love Bella Italia because we do) but we were just famished at the time. We were so pleasantly suprised when we were met with the friendliest of staff. The manager, the lovely waitress and bar tender (he makes a hell of a strawberry gin). From the moment we stepped foot into this restaurant we were treated with such respect and given the best possible care. We were astounded by the cleanliness of everything. The food was absoloutly exquisite, the customer service was and banter was priceless. We of course left a lovely tip and thanked them for everything during our visit. We could not praise or recommend them enough! 5 stars from us.

I asked for a cola and the waitress brought me a corona and then said I said corona not cola then I thought your from somewhere in eastern Europe and I’m from Birmingham England my English is pretty good. Service was very good and the food was great. Everything was cooked well and served hot. They were busy so there was a bit of a wait on the mains which was okay given how busy they were. We spent a lot but it was worth what we spent in terms of portion. The slight let down was one portion of sweet potato fries was cold inside but we had ordered other portions of this and the rest did not have this issue so I believe it was simply a one off. TLDR: Food and service was great. Pricing was consistent. I recommend the cookie dough desert.

We came in after lockdown. Bella italia is our favourite, food has never let us down, service- best part of it genuine, welcoming and fun! We know everyone there, always nice to be acknowledged upon arrival. What a great bunch of people work there! Great Covid practice in place, sanitisers, social distance, disposable menus and team members sanitising each table and chairs after customers. Great as always !

We were served and ate within 30 minutes if being there and I believe most food have the option of being meatless if you ask. The food was really good and well priced, just under £15 per person with a drink. They are one of the few places I know that do a vanilla hot chocolate well. Sweet and you can taste the vanilla. Very please overall.

Firstly, I LOVE BELLA ITALIA, I've visited many, but i rate this one 3 stars because it just wasnt as good as the others I've visited. My local is Dudley, but we went here for a team night out, only 7 people, and it was booked in advance. We arrived on time, but were kept waiting at the front desk for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Which was just awkward. When we were seen to an seated, it took a while for our server to take our drink and even longer to receive them. We did enjoy them though. When it came to food, it took a long time for the food to come out, and then 1 persons food didn't arrive. It was only a pizza. We asked and they started to make it for her, but then everyone had started eating without her. Most of the people enjoyed their food, however I had the vegan meatballs and pasta, the meatballs were overdone and the pasta undercooked, so I was quite disappointed. It wasn't particularly busy, but staffing may of been an issue, as when we asked for some refills, she said "I just want to go home!" ... so they may if just been having a bad day. I may return with my hubby or something, but not for another event.

We visited last night and We had a wonderful evening! The Mozzarella Carroza was lovely and the smells and flavours of the food there were so Mediterranean it reminded Me of being on holiday. Me and my boyfriend went for valentines dinner on the Saturday and it wasn’t too busy. However, we had to sit ourselves down and wasn’t shown to any specific table. Then waiting about 15 minutes just to be asked about what drinks we wanted. Another 15 minutes later and we finally got them. We really did enjoy the food but the service is absolutely appalling. It took 30 minutes to just get the bill at the end that we asked for multiple times. They forgot the chips but other then that, the food was really good and nice for the value of money.

Our meal tasted lovely, I had sea bass fillet in a tasty mushroom sauce with small roast potatoes. We have come to expect good food from this Bella Italia and their service is always at a good standard. Something I really liked about the service was that we wanted to space our three course meal out somewhat and our waiter was charming and happy for us to take our time even though they were very busy. Most impressed.

My latest visit was quite unpleasant. I have a nut allergy and they had recently changed the menu slightly so the staff and the system were still working from the old menu, be careful if you have any severe allergies. Also if you aren't "dressed to impress", the staff are rather abrupt. My sister and I weren't even offered the dessert menu, they gave us the bill immediately after we finished our mains.

We ate during lunchtime, which is a really busy time, but we managed to get a seat within a minute of entering the establishment. The waitress seemed harassed during this time, but we had put it down to the busy period. As the crowds died down, she seemed much more settled. We ordered our food and waited a little while due to the time of day. Once the food came out it was absolutely fantastic and we ate it in record time. Our sharing pudding was amazing. What a treat! I took my daughter for lunch to your Birmingham BellA italia on 23 rd September. We were welcomed by lovely lady, who explained all new procedures in regards of Covid , also showed us sanitising stations and explained about disposable menus. She made us feel welcomed but most importantly safe, she was wearing mask and sanitising her hands though our meal. We saw her sanitising tables and chairs , also doors and chip and pin devices. We opted for your set menu 3 course meal for £15.99, and what a great choice ! Food was delicious ! Certainly great value for money. Lady’s name, who served us I believe Was Nadia . We chose Bella Italia as we never felt rushed the service good and the food usual very good although have had return food which was cold. However on our lastest meeting 15/7/2017 no sooner had we sat down we were asked if we required drinks which we ordered no sooner they arrived she wanted to take our order to which we were not ready and asked if we could have some time. After taking order the starters arrived and as soon as that was cleared the main meal arrived seemed as if we were been rushed. As soon as that was cleared she kept asking us if we would like dessert or coffee to which asked if we asked if we could have time as we had still a couple of bottles of wine to drink. She came back a few times to the same reply and then she came across and said that she wanted us to be aware that the table we were on had been reserved for 4pm. We ordered dessert and later coffee, as soon as the coffee was on the table she brought us the bill which did not ask for and she kept hovering which was not very pleasant been rushed to drink coffee finish wine and pay the bill!!!! And may I remind Bella Italia our bill was not a pittance. The restaurant was not full buy any means the tables next to ours which were the same were empty and set out and NO reservations on them so why!!! In all, not a very nice experience. We are however going to give Bella Italia another go next month but if we have the same reaction again that will be our final visit which is a great shame. I do wonder if Bella Italia will reply with their comments.

So, it’s lunchtime on a working day in Birmingham. We’re only a short stop from a number of restaurants but we need to eat and run, and fast food is what we need, but not THAT type of fastfood. The Bella Italia was clean, well serviced by staff and we were immediately seated. It is a tiny. It cramped but not enough to be disturbed by others’ conversations. We ordered within 4 mins and had our drink and food within 13 minutes. That was quick! Normally I’d worry, but the food and plate were piping hot (and we were warned about the heat). I had the Lasagne and it wasn’t a deep dish but it was wide and more than enough for even a famished adult male. After finishing the meal we were able to clear the bill and leave with 15 minutes to spare before the hour was up. The food was really good, the service was exactly what we needed, and we still didn’t have to suffer the “fastfood” mentality. Thanks Jason

As chains go, this is a gem. Currently it has a part of the German Christmas market outside, which either adds Christmas sparkle or chaos depending how you look at it. my husband and I visited this restaurant tonight. food are truly amazing especially the gamberoni spaghetti. the prawns are fresh and juicy. I am not a fan of spicy food but I managed to finish the whole plate of it as it tastes so good :) my husband ordered another plate after we finished the whole meal for his lunch tomorrow haha :D the service was excellent. there was a beautiful young lady Justyna who was extremely patience and friendly. she kept up her smile all the time when she serves us even though it was so busy when we were there. we experienced some other server showing terrible attitude when the restaurant gets busy, but in this Bella Italia, we literally did not received any unwelcoming or upsetting attitude at all :D Everyone who works there were like Justyna, having a big beautiful smile on the face. This is an amazing dining experience - causal but indeed very warm! Thank you so much Bella Italia crew especially Justyna, you guys completes our wonderful night! :)

Bright and busy restaurant right in the centre of Birmingham. Very good location for pre- concert meal close to the Town Hall. Usually a short wait time for a table but the staff do their best to seat everyone as soon as possible. Staff efficient and not over-friendly with a good selection of dishes and portion sizes to choose from. Can recommend the Marco Polo pasta dish with duck, mushrooms and spring onions with a sweet glaze sauce. The Sicilian cocktail of Prosecco, Limoncello and Mint arrived with no mint just a sad snippet of Rosemary - a little disappointing but nonetheless it was OK. The Limoncello gelato was very good. Allow plenty of time if you are attending any concerts in the city centre. NOTE that Bella Italia are not accepting any promotional codes or vouchers while the German Christmas Market is operating in the centre. Several tables around us were disappointed when they came to pay and their discounts were refused.

I have nothing but great things to say about my evening at this newly updated and refurbished Bella Italia. Great food, great servers, great management, great location, great selection of dishes shared, etc etc etc! I was able to enjoy numerous dishes with a wonderful group of friends, and I am happy to be able to let all of my family and yelp friends know that the new Bella is very tasty and I highly recommend it. The "new" Bella Italia chains are now working from a large chunk of 100 million pounds, so their updated menu, style, and imports directly from Italy are wonderful addition, and really have to be on point in order to sustain this "all day Italian" lifestyle customer base. The restaurants are now open for breakfast as well as lunch! (I wonder what Italians eat for breakfast!?) I was able to sample everything from the pizzas, ravioli, shared platters, and vegetable spirals bolognese, to different flavoured gelatos imported directly from Italy, and a delicious glass of prosecco. Overall my enjoyment of the evening and everything it had to offer was excellent. I am hoping to be able to visit another Bella Italia to explore their breakfast and lunch options.
