Wow! This restaurant is an absolute gem! So glad we found it. The food is absolutely delicious, the staff are friendly and the restaurant itself is lovely, clean, spacious and clearly well maintained. The menu is concise, but do not let that put you off, what they do offer is fantastic quality, from starters to dessert, by far one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to. One of our daughters was made a pizza in the shape of a bear, she thought it was the best pizza ever! The choice of drinks was huge. My strawberry daiquiri was so good. Would highly recommend and would most definitely return should we be in the area again!

Warm pleasant welcome. Lovely rustic ambience. We visited on a Thursday evening (7pm) and quite busy. Service was nicely timed throughout our visit, very helpful but not pushy. Drinks list extensive, wine selection quite adequate. Menu has some lovely options (so will have to revisit). All four of us chose a different starter & main course and each of us were delighted with our choice. We all chose the same dessert (rum baba) - excellent. The only thing I would change would be napkins instead of horrid serviettes. Toilets clean and well serviced.

We cannot stop talking about this place. The food, the amazing service, the ambience.. We called to book the restaurant a few hours before and was greeted by a friendly Italian gentleman on the phone. He was very accommodating. We got there on time and walked in to this beautiful stone-walled restaurant and was showed our table. Basket of bread while we looked at the menu in our hands and on the walls. The staff would personally vouch for dishes, and they did not disappoint. I just love the environment and this "family feels". The food was so good, my partner who cannot stand seafood had the mussels, and we could not get enough of the food and desserts. An accidental blessing!!! ❤️

Just pop in on the hop last Saturday and Franco made us very welcome as usual. We had the lunchtime menu which was excellent choice and a glass of wine each food was amazing and standard of service was impeccable by you know who (Franco)for the people that haven't visited this restaurant. I absolutely love Francos. The place is fab, the food is delicious but it's Franco himself that makes the place....everyone is important to him and everyone feels special. We are frequent visitors to Franco's and this is due to one simple reason - the food. The food never disappoints, always freshly prepared and beautifully presented. Franco and his staff are beyond attentive and every visit is an absolute pleasure. This evening I had scallops to start and they were cooked to perfection, melt in the mouth succulence - divine. We have used the take away twice. Excellent, super tasty, traditional pizzas. We have been so disappointed with the offerings in Porthcawl that we travel to Bridgend specially for these authentic pizzas. Will be ordering again soon.

Busy Friday, although Franco didn't hesitate to welcome us in his restaurant. We had a pizza, and it was extremely tasty, real neapolitan pizza! I want to thank Franco and his team, Georgina and Luca and the other guys, which I am sure they are nice too. Super welcoming, I felt back in Italy with the music and everything. Franco kindly fitted us in short notice and we were not disappointed. We sat outside and felt like we were somewhere abroad - a million miles away from Bridgend. Charmingly quirky newly refurbished building which evokes the character of an Italian trattoria. Franco and the staff too transport you to Southern Italy for an hour or two of Mediterranean hospitality. Good value two course lunch we had al dente sage and truffle ravioli in a cheese gorgonzola sauce which was delicious, we could have eaten double. Everything on they menu looked enticing so will certainly be back.

And an equally good mixed appetizer, the homemade bread of their own production was exceptional !! Let's move on to the pizzas. I was looking for a place to have a good Neapolitan dough pizza.. and here it is!! My wish fulfilled. VERY GOOD. I can say that this dining experience was like having Italy in your mouth. The staff has as many positive words. The first waiter and the owner made us feel right at home. Very kind, helpful (especially with me who was clumsy a couple of times 😅) and all very courteous. A recommendable experience for every Italian like me who is looking for a place to have a mini Italian escape. (Original) Ieri pomeriggio, secondo consiglio sono andata a provare la pizza in questo ristorante . Partiamo dagli antipasti gli arancini buonissimi di una croccantezza!! Da provare assolutamente. E un antipasto misto altrettanto buono, il pane della casa di loro produzione era eccezionale !! Passiamo alle pizze cercavo un posto dove poter avere una buona pizza ad impasto napoletano.. ed ecco qui!! Il mio desiderio esaudito. BUONISSIMA. Posso dire che questa esperienza culinaria è stata come avere l'Italia in bocca. Il personale è di altrettante positive parole. Il primo cameriere e il proprietario ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa. Gentilissimi, disponibili (specialmente con me che sono stata maldestra un paio di volte 😅) e tutti molto cortesi.
