D. A.Firstly, there is no reduction of stars, just that i add the extra two on for outstanding reasons A basic three stars should mean good service(it was), broad menu or good specialities(there was).
I have been in a few Italian restaurants. They were better with food and the layout was not as cramped. I have nothing derogatory to say about VIP just expect to pay a premium price for an average Italian restaurant. My main advice would be that the tastes of certain foods good be excellent and not just okay.
S. S.Authentic Italian restaurant that even makes aubergine in your pizza tastes yummy. I visited this restaurant twice for dinners once I dined in and the other time I had a take out. Both the times the food was delicious. Personally I really like those pizzas which you can eat with a fork and knife and has a good amount of cheese toppings and VIP pizza delivered just the right one. I did order VIP burrata , although it was tasty but I felt the quantity was less for two people. I also ordered a tiramisu which was a bit underwhelming I have tasted better tiramisu. The next day I ordered a simple tomato pasta which was nice as they had home made pasta. I also ordered something which they called as a sandwich which was fine taste wise but difficult to eat.
V. R.The place is amazing and must visit for truely authentic italian food. We went to the Saltdean restaurant but they have a branch in Brighton as well. We were staying in a nearby Airbnb and almost all the reviews of B&B had a mention of this place atleast once.
The staff was very friendly and food was top notch. Place is usually busy in evening but you can get a table with short wait time. They do have a takeaway option as well. Apart from regular pizzas and pastas, please give a try to the sandwiches. They are big and one is sufficient dinner for one person.
If you are in mood of cooking, you can also buy authentic italian ingredients from the shop.
J. S.Lovely restaurant, superb pizzas, some of best I’ve ever had and amazing selection. Sourdough bases with right mixture of toppings ice cold fraught peroni and a scooter in seating area, almost felt like you were in Italy.
Saltdean has a gem on its hands!

S. B.Lovely Italian restaurant! Very authentic with excellent homemade food to order! Our group all had something from a different part of the large menu, pizza, pasta etc and all really enjoyed! The portion sizes are very generous and at very reasonable prices! Would highly recommend!
