I could have sworn that I have reviewed this awesome place previously, so it speaks volumes on that front that I have just eaten here for the fourth time that I can recall. The atmosphere is wonderfully friendly and the food is fantastic. The English breakfast with Welsh ingredients in Italian style is a firm and consistent favourite , but anything on the menu is a good bet for delicious food. It’s only a desire to try new places and enjoy the excellent variety that Cardiff has to offer that prevents us from eating here more often. 100% recommended. This review was for the Cathays location but we have tried the other restaurants as well and the quality is consistent.

As an Italian born and raised this is the place to go for authentic Italian food. Excellent service Delish food. I couldn’t stop raving about it to my family and they all asked me to bring pizza home!! Really competitive prices too and lots of Italians frequenting too which is always a good sign. Really happy we found this gem!

Came here because this place was highly recommend to use by one of our friends. I cannot possibly fault this restaurant. Service was amazing, food was superb and the wait time was nothing. Overall I'd recommend this place to everyone I know.

Fantastic restaurant. The staff are absolutely superb, so attentive. The restaurant is vibrant, traditional, and feels authentic, from the Italian art and artifacture to the Italian music playing. The most important part of any restaurant is the food, and you will not be disappointed. The food is beautiful. The menu has so many great options for a wide variety of dietary requirements. The service is quick and efficient as it should be. This was my first time at Calabrisella, but certainly not the last

The food was delicious! The pizza had fantastic ingredients, a wonderful tomato sauce and was baked in a real stone oven like in Italy. The pasta was refreshing and tasty, very well done! The pricing is not overexpensive, I am happy to visit this restaurant again to try other things.

Really impressed! Good vegan pizza is hard to come by, all the nasty mainstream takeaways like Dominoes make them but hate their dough and tomato bases. This place was a real breath of fresh air. Clearly use high quality ingredients, dough is properly made and wood fired and they use a much better vegan cheese than other places I’ve been. Would return!

Amazing, amazing food, ordered the signature fish sharing platter. Everything was cooked to perfection and so much food, they really don't hold back. Venue was cute and cosy and mostly service was spot on except for one waitress who was just rude in the way she dealt with me, perhaps a language barrier or a bad day or she didn't like my aftershave either way a large tip to remind her customer service should be priority. Hence the 4 star otherwise faultless.

Had a delightful meal with my daughter, the staff were friendly and helpful and managed to squeeze us in despite not having a reservation. The food was fantastic, service was delightful. Will definitely go back next time we're in Cardiff, but will book beforehand!

Quick, efficient friendly order taking over the phone. Pizza was ready for collection bang on time. Ordered 4 pizzas and all were tasty, large and had an authentic crust. Lacked a bit of cheese and topping. Shame we can't get delivery to Rhiwbina!

I was very surprised. The website is poor with little to entice you in. Pics of food looked good but nothing to show atmosphere or setting. The restaurant was full, lively and full of locals. The food was excellent, well presented with large portions. Wine was well matched. Service was good and staff pleasant. A great little find situated just outside of town. Pricing was very reasonable. I'll be back!

Staff member who met me at the door told me in a bit of a snarky tone that I had booked at their other location (I checked the confirmation email later and I hadn't) so It wasn't the best first impression HOWEVER the rest of my experience was very good. The food was tasty and fresh, the arancino funghi was very good, as was the bruschetta and we enjoyed our pizza. The complimentary limoncello was a lovely touch and a nice end to a great meal. 👍

Great service and food! I recommend the arancini although the star of the show is obviously their pizza. The decor is a bit dated, but is made up for by the great atmosphere and food. They also have fresh cakes every day and lovely ricotta canoli.

Small little cute place. Super well organised with Covid measurements and social distancing. Food was amazing. A truly Italian pizza with nduja and salami. Followed by a delicious cannoli di ricotta and complimentary limoncello. Impeccable service from welcoming staff. A must-go-back.

Plates and platters of love served here 6 days a week. The authentic staff who work very hard are so welcoming and genuine. The pizzas are so thin and freshly made and so is the pasta,with the addition of daily specials. This is a little gem of a restaurant. You won't be disappointed. The only thing missing from the restaurant is the Mediterranean sun.

Outstanding Italian food. Traditional pizzas that are so much better that the bland versions offered by countless kebab shops throughout the city. The food here reminds me of my Mum and Dads efforts from my youth, and I could give no better compliment.

Calabrisella came to the East of Cardiff and it's a great addition. After visiting their Cowbridge Road branch a few months back I had been waiting/wishing they would move to the other side of town and they did. Now there's no excuse to not enjoy traditional Italian dishes, brilliant pizzas and amazing tiramisu. Just be mindful that this place gets VERY busy and that their bathrooms are tiny.

Lovely cosy restaurant, the Quattro formaggi pizza is intensely cheesy with a deliciously soft chewy base, the calamari was cooked to perfection and the tiramisu was to die for. Highly recommend!
