R. H.If you don't like the big chain deep pan bread dough base and greasy plastic cheese, then you will love these pizzas. Large floppy and thin base with the perfect amount of flavoursome toppings. 100% recommended.....
It's a real shame the Rosemary and sea salt bread is no longer on the menu 😕
L. H.I ordered off them for the first time last night (25/05), and the best word I can think of to describe their pizzas is “Outstanding”. Great value, and easily the best pizzas in Derby. Delivery was prompt and the service really friendly. Can’t recommend enough.

When I ordered i changed an item and the delivery slot was taken when I went back as they are very popular, I mentioned this on my note and asked that if they could get it here any earlier that would be amazing. They called me and said they would get it out and at mine within 30 minutes and they did. They did not disappoint at all :) the flavour, the quality!!! Not your cheap takeaway pizzas. Really good value as well 2 x 18" deal and a side for the price you would pay for a 18" and some chips from some of the other places that do 18" pizzas.

C. W.One of the best pizzas I have ever had! Had trouble with the Uber driver not turning up and when I called the restaurant they very kindly made a fresh one so that it wouldn't be cold when it arrived. Fantastic service and the food (including their buffalo wings) was absolutely delicious!

I originally ordered through uber eats and was a disaster the food had been tilted and all the toppings were on the side of the box, I called and spoke to a really helpful man I didn't catch his name to give him a special mention but he sorted it straight away sent the order again and couldn't apologise enough!! N. B.I went here on a recent trip to the Derby area and the pizza was really good, had an 18" one and didn't realise just how big it is, I was literally eating just pizza for 2 days. Really tasty and a nice thincrust floppy base you have to steady it with two hands! If I find myself in the area again I will be back!

J. K.Best pizza in Derby by far! Tried it for the first time last night after recommendations and its the only place I'll order pizza from now! The dough is crispy, airy and tasty and the toppings are clearly fresh and very tasty. Not overtopped and perfectly cooked. The 12 inch is enough for one but the 18 inch would probably feed 3, it's HUGE! My only suggestion would be to halve the amount of garlic on the no.9 pizza as it is a bit overpowering, but otherwise please don't change a thing!

I haven't found in Derby many pizzerias that come close to Italian style pizza, but Honest Pizzas has a pizza base very very close. New York style pizza is nothing less than the pizza that the Italian immigrants brought to America. Trust me on this too. I was born and lived in New York for 14 years of my life. A very good pizza at a great price.

J. S. J.Summary in a couple of words: Best Pizza in Derby but a bit pricey! We ordered a margarita pizza with mushrooms and pesto dough balls. The whole experience of ordering and collecting was straight forward. The pizza was amazing, the dough thickness, the taste of the sauce was really on point. Though it’s 18inches, two of us managed to finish it easily, so bear that in mind when ordering. Likewise the dough balls were amazing, the best I’ve ever tried. The only downside is the pricing, you roughly have to pay £5 on top of the price of a margarita pizza for 2-3 toppings. But regardless, I will order again and highly recommend you try it too!

Plus, their customer service is excellent: even though I ordered close to their closing time, they still accepted my order and it was still great. Thanks for dishing me up some quality snap! 😃
D. C.My experience was quite disappointing. The order came very late but I was notified about it and they have promised me a on the house two extra 12 inch pizza as a way to apologize. Agreed to it but when the order came, there was nothing to make up for the late order. So thumbs down for false promise. Also, Pizza was still warm when it came which is good but it was too Salty. Manor Rd Branch. 👍
Update: The owner has called me back and it was a misunderstanding. We were promised that they will make it up for our next order. Happy to hear about it and they have such a good customer service.

H. H.Ordered True pizzas for the first time tonight. We ordered the 18 inch mozarella and tomato (margherita) and the chicken and bacon. They were ready at the time we specified. They were enormous!! We are 2 hungry adults and 2 hungrier teenagers and we have left half the two pizzas for tomorrow (although we probably could have eaten more). Absolutely delicious with a lovely soft crust. Just as good as more expensive pizza, in fact probably nicer. Thanks so much!

Me and my partner are obsessed with your sweet Chilli dip! We want to buy a entire bottle of it, highly recommend!! (But it has a kick of your not a fan of spiciness.)

G. W.Blown away by this place, drove a long way to try their pizza last night and was totally worth it. I had the pepperoni (no3) with extra mozzarella. Delicious. Base and tomato sauce were perfectly tasty and made with excellent quality ingredients. I actually didn't need the extra mozzarella...the toppings were extremely generous. Best pizza I've had in the UK. Well done guys, don't change a single thing! See you soon.
E. W.Customer service is second to non, I had a minor issue with a pizza that was dealt with perfectly. The pizza's are so much better than any competitor in the area, with very Moorish dough! highly recommend the herbs for an authentic flavored pizza.
N. B.We love this place. We get an 18 inch pizza most Friday nights for our family pizza and movie night. Feeds me and the two kids plus some left over for lunch on Saturday. Love the cookies, wish they were a bit bigger though. But you could say that about any cookie.
T. (.Decided to try here last night after reading positive reviews and i can say it was probably the best pizza i have EVER had! Amazing quality/tasty toppings, loads of cheese, cooked to perfection and absolutely massive especially for the price...Believe the hype!
A couple of things for management to consider;
Delivery service would be a good improvement although I did find the collection service was well done and to the minute in terms of my pick up slot.
I didn't get a confirmation email after my order which although I didn't actually need it I would of liked more for peace of mind.

B. G.Having ordered from here a few times before, I felt this evenings pizza far far below the usual standard to the point where I’m questioning whether to bother going back.
The first disappointment were the additional toppings, at £1.50 I expected a bit more than a some sparsely applied pepperoni and the extra chicken topping was barely evident.
Secondly the Sicilian sausage (seems to have changed recently?) appeared to be chopped up chipolata’s and had no flavour at all, this was a huge disappointment.
Lastly the pizzas I receive never seem to match the images posted, all your “promo” images show well browned cheese crisp toppings, however everything I’ve received has been far too heavily cheesed (especially in the centre) resulting in the pizza collapsing under its own weight, greasy uncooked cheese and generally unsatisfactory results.
I don’t like leaving poor reviews as I genuinely hope you do well, but the products you’re providing simply don’t match what you advertise in my opinion.
Update: so a week or so ago I gave True Pizza another go and I’m pleased to report that the quality was 10x times than what I had previously. The cheesy garlic dough balls are 10/10 and well recommended!
H. U.Amazing pizzas, thin base and crispy but also the crust is really soft. Super tasty and fresh too, couldn't have been better. We did a 40minute round trip as we'd heard really good things and it was so worth it! We will be back. 😋

New york style(ish) - unfortunately, i think it is baked in/on a conveyor belt oven, which doesnt quite give the same base taste/texture that a true new york slice will have from a typical brick/tile floored double stacked gas pizza oven. Even so, will be a repeat customer. Please can you put a “garlic bread pizza” on the menu? Would love to get that as an 18incher.
M. S.Pizza was ok, paid for extra pepperoni received 3/4 slices. Crust was very thick. I would recommend to give it a try, prices reasonable and good service straight to your car door. Really wish I could give 5 star but lacked in a lot of points

Great service, managed to get our 16 pizza order done to the exact minute we chose for our collection time and all the pizzas were hot, not to mention delicious. Lovely airy dough so they are not stodgy at all and don't make you feel bloated after.

I'm sick after dominos, papa John's and other pizza places, I'm good after this one as it's not so greasy and tastes great. If you would make in house made garlic sauce, and provide cans of pepsi or coca cola that would be nice.
s.Possibly the best pizza I've ever had when it comes to a take away pizza, it wipes the floor with Dominoes, Pizza Hut and Papi John's, an 18 inch pizza filled two of us up and gave us leftovers for the next day.
Cheesy garlic bread bag is going to be the best decision you'll make.

B. 2.Didn't know the system of the ordering process but after seeing the place on Instagram, we came for a drive over. They managed to fit our order in, usually online orders, and we can not find fault. Beautiful fresh pizza so tasty and more than enough toppings. Super impressed, totally recommend!

M.As devoted Dominos fans, my partner and I both pleasantly surprised by how incredible the pizza tastes at Honest Pizza. The base is really light and has a similar texture to Naan - with a delicious base sauce seasoned to perfections. Great quality for the money you pay.
