Visited 2 weeks ago. The food was nice with an extensive menu. Starters were very Nice. Mains of Sirloin Steak & Seasonal Veg & Roast Potatoes. Steak was very nice, not keen on Veg as over cooked, but Roasty Potatoes were good. The Seefood Spaghetti was enjoyed and was A selection of mixed shellfish & seafood, with a fresh tomato sauce. The deserts of Profiteroles & Apple Pie & Ice Cream were also nice. We found the service a little slow and found on our visit staff were not very engaging and as friendly as others had mentioned, but it may have been a busy daybefore we arrived. We will be going back in a couple of months and will go back to Giuliano's & will update the review if it merits it.

Had a fantastic meal here yesterday! Didn’t have a reservation but no issues getting a table. Really good atmosphere, felt like we weren’t in Edinburgh anymore and had stepped into a little taste of Italy. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was fantastic, super fresh and perfect portion sizes. Fantastic place for a meal with friends or family!

Eight of us had a lunch on Saturday, the food was, as usual, great and not too expensive. The staff are very efficient and friendly even when the restaurant is busy. It had been a couple of years since I had last been there and as I say above, it was back to it's normal very good self..

I’ve been regularly going here for over 5 years. Food is of a very high quality, with a wide menu range. The have a wide selection of Italian wines. Staff are very friendly and are always welcoming. Highly recommend

If you love authentic Italian meals you will love Giuliano’s. The food is outstanding, the service efficient and friendly, the prices extremely reasonable and the atmosphere is buzzing. A million times better than corporate Italian restaurant chains. Highly recommend.

We went 2 nights in a row while visiting Edinburgh our 2 children (5 years and 11 months). The welcome was great, food lovely and very friendly staff. The staff were also great with the kids and very understanding of our very messy self feeding 11 month old. Had a wonderful highchair that attached to the seats to let him sit with us all which he loved. The food was amazing we had a variety of pasta and pizza dishes which were all lovely. The desserts were amazing! One piece of advice is if something is on at the Playhouse across the road, book in advance

Fabulous Italian restaurant. We went for a late lunch on Mother's day. Plenty on the menu to suit all tastes. Service was excellent as was all the food. Desserts were so good. Would recommend.

Been coming here for years and the food is always good however decor looking a bit tired and in need of a makeover. Bit of an attitude from one of the waiters when we asked to pay separately but Marcia was fantastic and patient and even told the waiter with attitude to be quiet

It's okay if you like that kind of thing. Was expecting perhaps a little better than a second rate funfair ride, a six part scratch and sniff card and an illegal map of Scotland. The shop was good and I got an excellent gift.

Enjoyed a late afternoon meal, pre cinema, food fine, but the whole experience felt a bit lack lustre, for sure they need to look at the lighting, most certainly the background music......the overall feel of the place. It just felt lacking........ A interior refresh could bring it up to date.

After a long day touring the highlands, my girlfriend and I were looking for a nice dinner at short notice and she fancied Italian. We’re staying in Leith and have walked past Giuliano’s several times during our stay in Edinburgh, so tired and looking for a choice that required little research we decided to give it a go. We’ve had some excellent Italian food in some excellent places and some very poor Italian food in some very poor places. I would put Giuliano’s as “bang average” - a quote I used during the meal. When we sat down I immediately said the menu is far too big for them to be excellent at any of it. From pasta to steak to salmon to burgers to pizza, it has everything. Too much, in my opinion. The house red wasn’t to my taste but my girlfriend enjoyed it. Starter was a simple bruschetta, but it was forgotten about and other people who came in after us received their starters first. To his credit the manager (I think) recognised we were waiting for it, even though he didn’t serve us and came over to check. It was pretty good when it arrived. Mains were mediocre, I had the ‘Scottish salmon’, which came with too much leek sauce and totally overpowered what should have been an excellent piece of fish, the roast potatoes tasted like aunt bessies and the veg tasted microwaved. My girlfriend had the meatball spaghetti - meatballs were dry and she didn’t finish them but the spaghetti was good (though if they had got that wrong I probably would have walked out, being an “Italian” place!) We decided against dessert and more drinks. The service was friendly. The decor was ok. Flies were a constant around our food and heads (we had been out all day, mind you!). If you’re looking for a fast (if they remember your food) and ok Italian / probably more international than Italian restaurant, it’s a good option. Also seems very friendly for families to enjoy.

Highly recommend! We arrived with our kids (we had not counted our 2y old but the staff were flexible). The plates were filling - seafood risotto and seafood spaghetti were delicious, same for mushroom and chicken pizza, as was the half bottle of chianti wine. Quick service too. Thank you
