We ordered way too much food the tapas would have been enough for the two of us. Carbonara pasta and seafood dish was great! Staff were lovely. Small cosy family run restaurant. Will definitely come back.

Popped in to today at lunchtime. Staff were friendly, and venue was clean, tidy and well organised. Soup and Fish and Chips were both delicious and great value. Would be happy to go back for Lunch or evening meal.

Amazing food, fantastic service from everyone but special mention to Carlo! First time eating in after having a number of takeaways during lockdown - safe to say we'll be back soon. HIGHLY recommend the Norcina, but everything we ordered (and there was a lot) was delicious.

Been before, so I knew that the food was very good. Small restaurant with a good variety of pasta dishes, rissottos, pizzas plus more. Staff were very attentive to our needs. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal all four of us. Go back again.

As a former visitor to Shawlands, it was my first time in this restaurant! It's a small place, but very busy! The food was lovely and my friend truly loved the lasagne. Staff were lovely! I'd book to ensure you get a table and experience this wee gem!!

Love the food, I had pesto chicken with oven roasted veg /potatoes, just a fantastic meal the sauce was tremendous, the veg were fresh and not frozen, and also wee bit of salad, it was perfect. So me and the Mrs had a big weekend and decided to order from here on Sunday. Ordering through just eat, our first order never arrived, phoned the restaurant after an hour and a half but as an ex delivery driver I know it's not their fault. After speaking to just eat and getting a refund and money off the next order, we placed the same 1 again, only for it to be cancelled not long after. 3 hours in we placed the order again but thanks to the restaurant and not just eat, we got a fantastic meal with lots of extras. I can't praise their manager enough, I totally understand they use an external delivery service but they went above and beyond, thank you so much. X

This restaurant has been on the go for over 40 years and it consistently shows why. If you're game for an intimate, friendly and familial experience; this little bistro is right up your street. The dessert menu has to be tried - thrice. Will be back!

So far visited 3 times and everything was always amazing. Tried minestrone, beans and Italian sausage, pizza, carbonara, lasagne and tiramissu. Everything was just gorgeous. The menu is smaller which means that most of the ingredients are fresh (and it makes the food even better). The staff is lovely. Traditional compact (so may have to book ahead) Italian 'restorante" which is a real Southside gem - it's run by a lovely family with nothing being too much trouble yet it's fuss free. Licensed and with a terrific pizza oven, proper non-barista coffee and a wide selection of cake - take your mum, boss,, girlfriend and/or wife - you,'ll not be disappointed. September 2022 update - new menu, new members of staff added - but still bellisima - come here for a superb breakfast, a delicious lunch, or relaxing dinner - believe me, you'll love it.

Lovely family place, great atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble for them. Whether its mum going in every day for her coffee hit, us both at the weekend or the family in for something to eat. The menu is impossible to pick from because everything is so awesome and the service is friendly and quick. All in, brilliant place to go.

Popped in on my birthday last week for a drink and ended up getting 3 starters to share. Drinks were great and the food was delicious, the mushroom arancini was amazing, easily one of the best I've ever had. Will be back and would definitely recommend :)

Come on, who doesn't like Italian like 'your mama' never made (unless she was Italian; of course)? The dinning area is beutifull, bijou and chic, the staff are 7 shades of wonderful, the food is bellissima and the coffee is as coffee should be (the best Italian this side of Napoli). Verdict? Come here to pig out on perfect pasta - drink with friends, dine with the family, have a romantic night with your SO - you'll come back time and time again. Visit Buongiorno for a good day and make it great - popular especially in the evenings and during the weekend be a "wise guy" and book ahead. Come on - be treat yourself and your family - enjoy a bit of 'la dolce vida' - better yet - you don't need to be rich as the Godfather to eat here. Ciao.

I had a takeaway last night from here and it was really good however there was a couple small things that made me give 3 stars instead of 4. The starter of chicken strips could of been more as only got 3 small pieces and there was no side salad with it, which you would usually get with other places. The lasagne I got was very tasty although when it was prepared you can clearly see it did not have any layers of Ragu/sugo inbetween the pasta sheets, it was 10 layers of sheets with the sauce/Ragu on top and it was thick to bite through. Would order again if this taken on board on future.

Nice wee place with delicious food on offer. This is a regular eatery due to the location (& my hubby loves the pizza). The Catch of the Day (trout & sea bass on offer the day we visited) is also delicious but more vegetables needed to justify the price. Buongiorno, (like many restaurants & bistros) has a owner/manager who realises the benefits of offering not only good food but service and sadly, this place seems to falter when the manager is not around. Apart from that, highly recommend this little gem in the heart of the Southside.
