In for the second time after a while today. As a vegetarian, there were a few options. Had asparagus pasta. Was a bit stodgy in the middle and couldn’t really taste the asparagus. Would love it in a spinach version instead?! Service and atmosphere were great. Little suggestion, if they replaced the huge barrels at the entrance for seats or a bench, for waiting customers, would possibly be more comfortable for customers instead of having to queue and stand at the door.

I love this place! It used to be my go to when I worked in the bookies round the corner. I had dinner there with my friend not long ago and the food is still amazing. Probably good that I don’t visit so often now but I would if I could!

Stumbled across this wee gem yesterday. I have to say it has a lovely atmosphere and very authentic. The staff were great, nothing was too much trouble & the food was delicious. I would highly recommend eating here & will definitely return very soon. Shared the Fathers Day mussels as a starter then we had pizza and lasagne as a main. Everything was spot on - thank you 👏👏👏 ❤️

Restaurant was busy on a Saturday night. Food was very nice although service was on the fast side - we were asked if we would like a drink as soon as we sat down. They still don't take credit cards since opening with a sign on the door saying their machine is broken 😒 so cash is only option. Would go more regularly if card option was added.

What a cracking wee place, superb decor helping to create a fantastic atmosphere/ambiance. Staff are friendly and attentive without being in your face. Great selection of drinks wine beer spirits and cocktails and the food where to start great selection of lovely Italian dishes and nice portions, I felt like crying because I couldn't finish my main, note to self ( go steady on the starter). It's the first time I tried Cafe Mariana and I have to say I was very impressed. The food is fantastic and the staff are amazing. We were having a family get together with 10 of us. 2 of which were young children. One is under 3 and full of energy. It was getting later in the evening and the little one was getting restless. One of the wait staff came to our table and offered to take the kids out to an area in the back that they could play while we finished our meal. Everyone of the staff treated us with the attention to detail you would expect from the owners. We were all very impressed and we will definitely be going back on a regular basis. I live out of the country and will for sure make it a must visit on my trips home. Everyone enjoyed there food and had the same opinion. Great job guys.

I had a pizza so good here that im a bit sad I don’t live closer, it was the best pizza I’ve ever eaten in my life. The dough was stunning and the toppings where superb. The bruschetta was lovely too! Will be returning as soon as im back in Kirky, shame I live 395 miles away, desperate for the bolognaise sauce recipe too, that was gorgeous.

Stumbled across this place by accident and glad we did. Tried the special lunch menu and the food was beautiful at a reasonable price. Service was good, decor pleasant too. Portions were good value for money. Would like to come back again some evening and perhaps try a couple of Italians beers and cocktails too. Worth a visit.

Had a table booked here for my birthday lunch. Due to the latest restrictions, this was not possible. However, the team were able to deliver meals to my home in Kilsyth. Absolutely delicious!!! Lunch today at Mariana's. Great place. Love the homey and cosy feel about the place. Food was plentiful, tasty and freshly cooked. You may have to wait slightly longer than other restaurants, but it's worth it.

Food good but small sign on door says they don't accept credit or debit cards. .. I think they should have it on menu as the sign on door is not at eye level ! I was lucky that we had enough cash to pay the bill. Did not leave a tip as I had no cash left.

The food is always great, freshly prepared, good quality Italian fayre. The set lunch time menu is excellent value for money. However the service is a little bit hit and miss. Sometimes good, sometimes not so good.

Food, atmosphere, decor and wait-staff were really first class for this kind of informal, Italian bistro. Pizzas were good (diavlo, bianco, fungi, rosso, margherita); chicken parmigiana was very good and generous; risotto on point - al dente and subtle. Desserts all hit the spot. Why only 4 stars? The unfortunate incident of the spilled beer. Waitress tipped a full pint over my five year old. No big deal, no damage done and she was apologetic to a fault and we were good humoured. But when the bill came there was no allowance for this. It just felt a little mean. And we otherwise probably wouldn't have held a grudge against being charged £4 for a bottle of sparkling water when we only asked for a single glass.
