I devoured my vegan pizza within seconds, delicious and nutritious. First time I have been to pizza express, I was very surprised Be warned the larger pizzas are rice paper thin, either way tasty.

Popped in after our reservation at zizzi was cancelled due to a gas failure. The front windows of the restaurant were fully open, which enables you to feel like you were dining al fresco! There was a slight wait for the pizzas but they tasted absolutely fantastic!

Took 15 mins before the manager came back after being seated by her. Surprised we hadn't had our order taken. 3 staff had been floating around doing not a lot besides chatting. Food did come quickly after that and was good. Sent one glass back as had lipstick all over it. Glasses generally had lots of scratches on them.. Looking tired.

FOH was very polite and attentive. They were happy to help and were down for a laugh. The food was delicious and well cooked. Tables and decor clean. Food came quickly and queue from outside went fast. You can see the kitchen from all the tables the BOH was working hard. In conclusion i think pizza express was very impressive and i will definitely come again.

Went with my son today. We were visiting from South Wales. Our waitress name was Ellie. She was absolutely amazing. Went out of her way to make sure my son had the pizza he wanted. Sat down with him taking time with him until he decided what he wanted. Brought out a vegan menu for me. Was kind and so polite. Fabulous experience. Thank you

We’ve just been to the Pizza Express at Gloucester keys. Charlie our waiter was an absolute legend. Made the experience even better than it normally is and was really friendly and happy to chat and have a laugh. We didn’t get the managers name or any of the other guys but we had a great time and they were all really lovely. We were greeted with a massive smile and friendly service and our food came super fast. Couldn’t recommend the service more. 10/10 😊 best pizza express we’ve been to and you should all get a pay rise 🤙🏻

A nice branch at Gloucester Quays, we were met with attentive staff as soon as we walked in, and was served by friendly and efficient waiters- they took and delivered orders in a reasonable time. The starter and pizza was tasty and served hot.

Went to pizza express Gloucester Quays, had a waiter who seemed to be new who was doing a great job balancing tasks and attended to our table well. The food was spot on this partnered with a really friendly bloke called ‘George’ made the evening amazing.

Great.. We hadn't booked, but the squeezed us in. Prompt service, food was lovely. I even left a bag with a present in on the seat. Went back next day and they had put it behind the counter! Only one gripe, I tried to call about my left bag, you could only leave a message, but no one called me back. I would have appreciated that, as when you lose something it's not a nice feeling. Overall good though.

Meal was tasty and good value (thank you Tesco vouchers). However the restaurant just didn't seem to cope brilliantly with being slightly busy, although we were there at 1.30 on a Saturday afternoon. Service was therefore slow, and when the waiter did arrive difficult to engage with as he didn't look at us directly pretty much at all! Therefore we were there a little over two hours. Good itself was good as usual, though some of the orders messed up a little.

First time I’ve visited a pizza express and I was not that impressed. The food was average and was lacking in sizeable portions and the staff were not that friendly at all. I won’t be rushing back to Pizza express again in a hurry!

Definitely a mixed bag! Overall, a positive experience, but with some caveats. The food was excellent - the Barbacoa was very tasty indeed and perfectly cooked. Similarly, the first drinks we had were great, as was the service... ... until the owner / front-of-house stepped out for his lunch-break. The two women who were left running table service immediately took their foot off the proverbial gas, and I would be generous in saying that the end result was minimum effort. Speed of service reduced to about 50%, which (bearing in kind there were only 4 covers in at the time) beggared belief, and we were left nursing empty glasses and waiting to order our dessert course for 20 mins and, once ordered, there was no rush in delivering our order. Another 25 mins to deliver two coffees and an ice cream, when there was little else to do. The coffees (now cold, but we couldn't be bothered to complain; our mood had soured by this stage so much that we just wanted to leave) were eventually delivered, only after the aforementioned owner returned from lunch and some effort and urgency returned to the waiting staff. Not what I've come to expect from Pizza Express - and if the pizzas weren't so darn tasty I'd probably give them a miss in future...

Nice place... The starter was a bit burnt, I did all the waiter "what's this?" Hoping he would see it and say something.. Sadly he didn't. He said it was the type of dough. Erm. Friendly people, had to get our own napkins a couple of times (shame), nice pizza... Nice food (apart from the burnt bits! 😉) not too bad.

Hi there, Just needed to give a huge shout out to your staff at Pizza Express at Gloucester in London. WOW is honestly all the comes to mind when we think about our experience here. Yesterday, Friday September 15th, my husband and I came back from a long day of sight seeing and were looking for a place to eat quite late. We walked around and saw Pizza Express but noticed they were closing at 11 PM and it was 10:20. We went in just to ask if they were still able to serve and the young gentleman who we asked said "Of course we are, we've been waiting for you!" We were so thrilled and felt so unbelievably welcome and not once rushed out the door. Not only was the food incredible but the service was top notch. All of the servers were wonderful and worked efficiently as a team. My husband and I said many times to eachother that they all were working hard and gave us the impression that they were one big family. Our experience was so wonderful we decided to come back tonight again instead of strolling the streets looking for dinner places. Yet again, food incredible and service was amazing. One of the servers who we'd like to give a special shout out, Gianmaria, recognized us right away and he welcomed us back. He took the time to chat with us and build a connection instead of what we've experienced at other restaurants where servers do the bare minimum and want to get you out the door. Good attentive service, food didn’t take long to arrive and the pizza was delicious. The reason for not giving 5 stars is because they didn’t do a bbq chicken pizza which we assumed they would, they didn’t have pink gin, and the meal was a bit pricey.

Meh... The food was decent don't get my wrong the restaurant was empty and the one member of staff was pleasant enough but due to th fact that there was only 5 customers in the place I think the customer service went out the window. I asked for the bill 3 times and then the same member of staff had a good old chin wag with some randomer who clearly used to work there. Just a tad frustrating.

Pizza express in the quays, Gloucester is very nice. We went early evening on a Tuesday and had two great pizzas. They give a 40% NUS discount and that made our pizzas very good value.
