G. B.First visit and wasn’t disappointed. Excellent choices and vegan options. The vegan garlic bread was amazing. The pizza and pasta mains were delicious with the chilli oil. The service was great and we will be coming again.
S.First visit here and a great experience. In contrast to other places I've been, the service was very good. Plenty of waitresses on hand asking if we'd been seen to yet. On ordering the food the waitress was helpful in explaining the dishes and what they contained (especially if the dish is spicy). Food itself was lovely, however we over indulged and ordered too much! Luckily they were able to box this up for us and we took the rest home. Will definitely return.

Walking in, a young man took us to our seats really quickly and he came across really professional. The other staff working were all super friendly and always had a smile for us.
The portion sizes were insane... Absolutely humongous (not a bad thing at all) so we were happy to get the leftovers packed up at the end of the meal to take home - that's how tasty it was. I had the carbonara and it was so so good.

G. K.We were sceptical about eating in a restaurant that has a captive audience from a hotel. We shouldn't have worried. The food was fantastic and plentiful. We didn't even manage to eat all of our food. Lots of other diners were taking their leftovers home! The staff were welcoming and friendly. We called in on an unusually busy evening, but the staff did everything to make sure we received our food as soon as possible. They were so good, we didn't even realise they were short staffed, even though they apologised for the delay. We will return if ever in Hull again.

The restaurant made a mistake and did not make the reservation we asked for, but they was accommodating and helped us find another table, so we could still eat our meal.
There are better restaurants serving Italian food, but this is good for groups, I imagine parties, birthdays, Christmas parties etc are popular here, and they have the space for catering to large numbers.
On the whole it's not a bad place, reasable price, good menu, good size area and car parking on site with disabled access etc...
Just wish food was not as salty.

J. W.Food was nice and good portion sizes. Despite having lots of staff around the service was average at best, most of the staff looked bored and uninterested. Whilst it was busy, the noise levels was excessive for no apparent reason, leaving it difficult to hear those even on the table we was at.

Its the 3rd time I have been here. For a few of the girls it was there 1st visit and they also thaught the food was amazing. One of my friends said it was the best lasagne she had ever had. Booked already to ho again with my hubby this weekend. Definitely recommend. 😁

S. T.Didn't book a table ( silly us) , got there at 7.30pm and my goodness it was heaving. Heard good stories about this restaurant so thought we'd give it a try. The owner Stephano was very accommodating even though we hadn't booked. He found us a table and was really pleasant. We ordered drinks, I had a bottle of white wine and hubby ordered a pint of morretti beer. It is quite expensive at £5 per pint , but hey ho. The atmosphere was lovely, the place itself is lovely, nice fully stocked bar, the staff were really nice. All very pleasant and very attentive. We especially like Chelsea who went out of her way to chat and tell us about the restaurant. I ordered a pizza, hubby ordered the Carbonara and garlic bread with cheese. It was all delicious. The bill came to £75 , but that obviously included my wine and quite a few pints of morretti for hubby. I can see why they are really busy! All in all, a lovely evening there. Would definitely go back, and would definitely recommend a try.

d. d.Heard good things about Osteria and wanted to check it out for a while and so glad I finally got around to it.
Staff were very welcoming and helpful even just finding our friends, didn't expect you to order immediately gave us 5 minutes to get settled in. They took our drinks order and apologize for it taking so long, we waited less than 5 mins in a busy restaurant on a Friday night, not a problem we were busy talking anyway. Once we ordered food our starters came fairly quick and were fantastic, ideal portion sizes, full of flavour and well cooked, the calamari was just right and our friend lived his garlic prawns. Table was cleared quickly and mains brought out maybe 10-15 mins later. Again portions were generous and the food itself was fantastic again, just like the starters.
Cost wise I would say its value for money, the food is so much better than big brand Italian food chains, this is made from scratch authentic Italian food not microwaved imitation food. All in we spent around £35 per person which included drinks. I was enjoying the food so much I didn't get any pics of it. The restaurant is clean and tidy, polite, attentive and friendly staff and a great atmosphere, not quiet but not overly busy.
If your ever in the area I would highly recommend trying Osteria.

k. w.I stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is lovely, comfortable and very clean with nice smell. The staff are polite and very friendly. 🙏❤️ However, I was very disappointed with the Italian restaurant as I was looking forward to eating there. I love Italian food and go to Italy a lot as my partner is from Sardinia. I ordered 2x soup and lasagna and 2 plates of different pasta for me and my family. The food was so salty we couldn’t eat it. The pasta was over cooked. It was very mushy. I had one spoon and left everything. It was impossible to eat it! When the owner asked me if everything was ok I discreetly told him the food is to salty to eat, and I expected he change our plates. The only thing he said was oh, I am sorry and that was it. I don’t complain as it’s not in my nature, however, the owner does not know how to deal with a customer in this case as he charged us for all the food and never even suggested to bring us new plate. As I said I could have made a seen but I always tried to give credit to others. In this case he need it to be told off so maybe he would understand fo4 the next time. I was looking forward eating there for the 3 days but I will never go there again. Now living in Hull I will definitely look for new Italian restaurant in town. NO ⭐️ FOR THE CHEF OR THE OWNER OF THE OSTERIA RESTAURANT. THE WAITERS AND WAITRESSES WERE LOVELY THOUGH.

G. B.First time I've been and nicely decorated and good atmosphere. The manager was very welcoming and chatty. We went for our work's Christmas lunch and everyone enjoyed the food. Those who ordered the garlic bread as a starter expected it to be a slice or two however were supposed to get a full sized garlic bread! It is the best vegetarian and vegan menu I've seen anywhere with a variety of choice. I had the Risotto Alla Barbabietola which is rice cooked with beetroot, and supposed to be topped with cheese. I didn't realise at the time that they'd forgot to put the cheese on top. But it was still delicious. The only thing what I wasn't happy about was the young waitress that served us our food had long hair nearly down to her waist. I think that she should have had it tied up for food hygiene!
S. W.Food is good. Today was the best meal I've had there: seabass with risotto. The service and ambiance weren't great though. One waitress was attentive but the other, who mainly served our table, wasn't.
The fish menu states all dishes come with vegetables and potatoes. When mine arrived without the accompaniments they said it was because it came with risotto: 'but the chef will do you some anyway'. It shouldn't be on the menu if it's not going to be served as described, and please don't make the customer feel like they're being done a favour by getting what the menu states - grrr!
They wouldn't do children portions of desserts.
Also loud, sweary customer directly behind us at the bar. Had to ask that the language was toned down - not great for a family Sunday lunchtime...
Will only probably return because the disabled access is good for my elderly aunt, and the toilets are very clean.

It was fantastic the food was well cooked and we'll presented, as it is all freshly prepared you can leave out any ingredient not wanted or liked in your meal. The gem of a restaurant here has been my second home. The meals are excellent, the service is the best I have ever received. The staff is friendly and made this feel like my home great laughs and enjoyable atmosphere.

J. C.Lovely meal again at this restaurant. We shared the garlic,cheese and pesto bread which was very tasty. Both enjoyed the sea bass which was served in a honey,garlic.chilli and ginger jus with new Potatoes and seasonal veg. Tasted excellent. Tirimisu and a brownie with ice cream to finish which was well received. The pingo grigio was fresh and dry and good value. Overall a gorgeous meal for a date night.
