I’ve visited Bella Italia for several times. But I feel quite disappointed this time. I, again, ordered my king prawns pasta, it doesn’t taste as good as before. The portion of fried squid is so small🥹 Overall price is ok but the food was bland.

Are you looking for a family-friendly Italian restaurant? Then you may want to consider Bella Italia right in the Leeds city centre. There are A La Carte and three courses menus. Three-course menu - £16.99 and two-course menu - £13.99. Everything from starters to desserts was well executed. The food was delicious and served hot. However, there was a bit of wait between starters and main. This restaurant is COVID-secure. Staff wore their mask and cleaned down tables and chairs.

To our surprise, the try out with taste card was very pleasant. For starters we had: Gamberi Aglio & Calamari Fritti. For mains: the new Pollo Saltimbocca & Calzone The scale for tastiness: we both emptied our plates!!💁🏻‍♀️

We called and booked, all was good. We entered and got seated by a random lady who vanished and left us without drinks, menu3s or anything. After 20 minutes I called a lady over. Mel was fantastic, if anything she should be in charge. It got to the point where she was running half the restaurant alone. And somehow managed to stay friendly, accommodating and amusing. I can honestly sat that if it hadn't been for Mel this review would have been lower based on the start of date night. On a separate note, rewards to the kitchen, the food was spot on, cooked aldente and seasoned to perfection. I think the management need to take a lesson from their staff

It hasn't been easy to find an Italian place with vegan options in Leeds. I'm from São Paulo, Brazil, so I used to be spoiled for great Italian restaurants. Bella Italia was quite a find! They have one or two vegan options for every section of the menu - I just wish for a bit more variety. A margherita could easily be flourished with some mushrooms, red onions, artichokes, et voilà, lots of vegan options available! Still, the ones they do offer were pretty good. I went with my spouse and another couple and three of us chose the 3 course menu, which for £19.99 was well worth it. Portions were precise, although I personally couldn't finish the delicious dessert (cookie dough with vanilla gelato and caramel sauce (pictured), which the server was attentive enough to point out that it is in fact vegan), but I don't usually eat a lot of sweets. Service was also great! Our server was a lovely Portuguese woman who spoke to us in Portuguese when she realised that we are Brazilian and my husband still struggles with English a little bit. After a casual comment that it was my friend's birthday, she inconspicuously offered him a free cookie dough dessert - secretively talking to us in Portuguese! (My friends are Bangladeshi). She was also very knowledgeable about the food when my friends, who are observant Muslims, enquire about any alcohol in the food. Everyone left very satisfied!

They didn't have the meal I wanted available so I asked for a recommendation and they provided one with confidence. The meal they recommended was exactly the kind of meal I wanted despite having never tried it before, the service was attentive but not overbearing and the atmosphere was great. The cost was appropriate to the quality and portion of food and the service. I would recommend this place highly.

Just had a late lunch there today; Americans 1st time in Leeds. Food was superb and reaonably price. Highlight was their sauce which we had with meatballs appetizer, pizza margherita and chicken cacciatore. But the service by our server Mel topped it all! She was attentive, quick and friendly and a credit to this wonderful place! We will go back again while we are in Leeds; definitely come!

I have went there for the Christmas party. The first two dishes were really good, especially chicken breast in bacon. The dessert was the disappointment of the evening but everything was tasty. The beer was also nice. Overall its a good place to eat out at but the price is above the quality unless you know what to buy and what to avoid.

Yum! From salads to pizza, this is some good eating. There is street parking (pay) down the block but not out in front because it’s on a broad avenue for foot traffic only...which makes it great to sit outside. We ate inside though, I had the salad giardiana and it was awesome. I also sampled my husband’s margharita pizza, Roma style, and that was great too. Our friends had a Caesar salad and sausage pizza, which was also delish. The serving staff was friendly and it wasn’t overcrowded.

Visited here last week, the waiter was fantastic, very attentive but not overbearing. Food was delicious, for starter my group (of 4) shared the Arrosto Platter to Share, and for main I had Paccheri Calabrese (photos provided but I have half eaten the main) and both were beautiful, price wise it is about par for the course, my group were using a voucher and at the end of the meal the waiter gave us all another voucher for 40% off on our next visit which I though was a very nice gesture. Really lovely place. Bella Italia has been here for donkeys years. It's in the middle of everything, but when you're inside it feels like your hidden away. Giving it that cosy feeling. My friends and I had the festive menu, all of the food was lovely. The service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive, and ensured we had an enjoyable experience. This was our first choice when xmas shopping in Leeds. And we were not disappointed. Bella Italian has lots of gluten free things on the menu in starters and mains and deserts. We went for gg garlic bread with cheese then fish and chips. As the mains was so big we didn't have room for a sweet but will be back again soon.

I booked before arriving on the 31st May. Nicola who was absolutely wonderful welcome myself and my autistic son and met all our needs! She was totally friendly and couldn't have done enough for us, she went above and beyond and catered to my sons needs, sat us down in a quiet area which was totally perfect and made it extremely comfortable for us. She had great comms and exceptional customer services. She then handed us over to a lovely gentleman named Ruben who kindly took our order and our meal was perfect!. Nothing was too much for either of them to be honest. I was overwhelmed with the kind service by both Ruben and Nichola. I can't wait to visit again, my Son loves Leeds and looks forward to eating his fish and chips at Bella Italia, the staff are always friendly with great big smiles on their faces.....I'm so touched by both Ruben and Nicholas kind helpful service. They're both an assett to the company and I hope when we next visit, they are still there to greet us! Thank you to both of you for making our day visit really pleseant, special and worth while (the train journey was definitely worth it! ;-).....God bless and my Son and I look forward to eating at Bella italia again....apologies, forgot to mention.... the food was also exceptional too very tasty especially my pizza! We had booked a table but went early. While we were happy to sit outside and have a drink they shuffled things round to get us inside in the warm. Manager was really friendly and helpful. Food was good, service was good, location was good. The only drawback was that the place was cold (I wasn't the only one who thought so). There is a double door system to prevent gusts of cold air, but one set of the doors was always open so each time anyone came in from outside those of us inside got a very cold draught. There is outside seating so staff are constantly in and out. So, go on a warm day and it'll be perfect!

Now.... If you want quick service go here. Me and some Friends went mid week. fast drink service, nice house tap larger. Had starters and they came warm And promptly. Mains were great I had the Marco polo which I believe is weat free but taste amazing and It doesn't matter to me if it is wheat or not. The bill was reasonable price. Warm friendly environment. With it been a city centre restaurant there is no parking. Disabled access is available but the restaurant is cramped and getting a wheelchair around could be difficult so if you don't want to sit outside and it's busy could be A pain. All round classic good standard chain.

The supervisor Martino made sure the chef was aware my daughter has Coeliac Disease so there is no cross contamination. The food was delicious and the service was also great. This is a really good City centre location. A great choice on the menu at reasonable prices. The quality of the food was excellent. The staff were polite and friendly and we did not have to wait long for our food. This place is popular so may be best to book at peak times. The only downside was there are quite a number of steps up to the toilet. Well worth a visit.

I enjoyed a good dining experience. I tried the Marco Pollo which was a little bit sweet for my taste but my companion enjoyed the carbonara very much and the virgin mojitos were very nice. The location is very convenient if you need a break from the many other great attractions in the area. The food came quickly and the waiting staff were lovely. Fabulous little restaurant! We went on a sunday lunchtime so understandably there was around a 20min wait on our orders. We couldn't fault the staff at all...they advised us of the waiting time before they seated us. Our waitress (we didnt get her name but she had an accent and said she had a 5year old son) was so lovely and very accommodating. She saw our son was playing with his transformers toys and went out of her way to get him a transformers kids activity pack to occupy him....this was just brilliant an absolute god send infact! The food was amazing and came out hot (you don't often find this in alot of restaurants i notice). It was delicious with just the right amount of spacing time inbetween courses. We will definitely be returning and i would highly recommend! Thank you!

Can't fault the food hense the 4* but the waitress that served me and use that term lightly. I asked her if I could have more of the sauce. Firstly she rolled her eyes at me and secondly said well you'll have to pay. I wasn't looking for anything for free I just liked the sauce wanted more but to roll your eyes at a customer is a bit much. I was more than happy to pay for it. But because of this I won't be back.

Ate here last night. Got a table just before 8pm, as it was v.busy service was quite slow. Didn't mind that as we weren't in a rush. Food was good. However, waitress wouldn't let us pay when we wanted to leave. I got the bill and she went off to get the card machine, next thing i know she's given the bill to another table, gets chatting, returns with card reader to their table and ignores us forv10 minutes. In the end we found some cash and had to physically stick it in her hand. Dreadful service. Fyi managers the bill was £36.45 and she was a young local blonde haired woman. We left around 9.30 Pity, that spoilt my overrall good impression.

Had a booked table for my birthday. Mojitos sucked not made the proper way to much lime juice out of a box and not enough mint, no crushed ice but cubes and no crushed limes and mint to start with. Calamari was delicious bit peppery for my taste but still tasty. Pollo Milanese was good simple dish i enjoyed it nothing special, Pollo alla crema was great tasty sauce, well made. Ordered tiramisu for dessert and it was disappointing, too much coffee flavor way too soaked through the whole dish missed the creamy and sweet mascarpone to even it out. Nice staff, good service.

Lucca reserved a table outside for us, for my Niece's Birthday. Luke made wonderful cocktails and then when my Neice wanted a "creamy cocktail" that wasn't on the menu Luke came to the rescue INVENTING a brand new cocktail just for her. The 2 lovely waitresses one beautiful blonde Lady and one little dark haired beauty. Both, were outstanding and so pleasant, smiley and professional. The food was wonderful, I honestly can recommend the Pollo Picante pizza, it was so delicate and thin just like pizza in Italy...We had a lovely afternoon in our own little part of Italy right there in the centre of Leeds........Do I recommend this restaurant, Oh yes with parmesan on...Thank you for a very pleasant Birthday for my Niece Clare.

Just want to say a BIG thank you to all the staff at Bella Italia. While enjoying a quiet drink here yesterday we got caught up in a fracase between some rough sleepers, they sent our drinks flying along with barriers and chairs. One guy fell on one of our party. Staff quick to react getting us inside and offering us replacement drinks and not allowing us to pay for drinks which had got spilt, which they really didnt need to do. Staff cannot be faulted. Will be returning here for food next time in Leeds.
