Fantastic food with great service. The atmosphere was lovely, and despite being busy, we were made to feel welcome by attentive waiting staff. One of the best around in our opinion.

Large menu with lots of choices, very nice food with big portions. Prices are reasonable and the food comes out quickly even when busy. Seating is a little cramped when its busy but the great staff and food make up for it. If you are parking make sure you use the system to register your number plate otherwise expect a parking fine.

We booked a table for a party of 14 to celebrate my father in laws 70th Birthday. We dropped off balloons & a cake in the afternoon & the restaurant put them in the back to keep safe. When we arrived in the evening, the balloons were already set out for us. The owner greeted us & showed us to our table. From the outset, everything was fantastic, from the waiters, the food, drinks, atmosphere, absolutely everything was spot on. There were no mistakes made & the food was top notch. Franco came over to personally talk to my father in law to wish him happy birthday, make sure everything was to our satisfaction & also have a bit of a joke with the younger ones of us. Brilliant evening, will definitely be back

Went for a quick lunch while shopping. We were early so very quiet. Nice service and the food (pizzas) was very good and plenty of it. The free olives and bread while we were waiting was a nice touch. Reminded me of 1970/80s Italian bistros no bad thing! Definitely go again.

I've been going to Franco's in Thorpe Park for over ten years and have never had a bad experience. The food is fantastic (all cooked fresh), and the service has always been exceptional too. Franco & Franco Junior are always very welcoming and provide a personal touch that no other restaurant comes close to delivering. A genuine family-run business with authentic Italian cuisine. What's not to love? 10/10!

Always a warm welcome and Franco makes the effort to speak to every customer. Food as always was superb and good sized portions. Had a quick lunchtime treat of pasta and salad with the pictured tiramisù to finish. Not a cheap place, but quality is worth the extra. My only slight problem is with background noise, but think that's maybe down to my hearing, as I've experienced the same in other Italian restaurants which have hard surfaces on the floors and walls to reflect rather than dampen ambient sound. I didn't let it spoil my meal though!

interesting. ?? quite expensive on some items. Think the starters are quite expensive and portions quite large for a starter. maybe reduce the size and price. Had seafood pizza - far too many chilli's which detracts from the taste of the seafood so couldn't taste anything else as my mouth was burning - was charged extra to have cheese on it ? Lighting needs to be subdued quite bright and a bit of background music wouldn't go a miss. Doesn't feel like an Italian restaurant sorry lovely food apart from too many chillies - great service - pleasant staff

I have to say...This was an absolute surprise.! We went to get a sausage roll from Greg's...Unfortunately Greg's was closed so we accidentally walked into Franco's Italian restaurant...I'm so pleased that Greg's was shut..! Francos is an absolute oasis in a cultural desert with flavours that will blow your mind..! The waiters attentive to the smallest of detail and the humour of staff is subtly adorable...I will return to Franco's as it is now definitely on my favourite top 5 restaurants in the world..!! Yes that's right...not just in Leeds...but the world....and I can assure you...I have travelled extensively..! This place is a true gem.!

Stumbled upon this gem when plans to get burgers across the way didn't pan out. Glad we did - 10 stars for the service. Franco & his son were super friendly, & we enjoyed recounting stories of his prior restaurants, moving up to Leeds & the joys of cycling! I had the lobster ravioli which was delightful & my partner had the risotto - which he really enjoyed. There's a small section that has heating (in case you're dining now til May) & a larger outdoor section without heating which is where we sat - it was perfectly fine if you're bundled up. Would definitely come back when back in the area! Thanks guys!

We called for dinner after shopping at Thorpe Park and we absolutely loved it. Great atmosphere, very friendly with fast service. We were talking with the owner and when I mentioned it was our first time here he said, "it will be your first and your last, the food here is rubbish!" He was very funny. We had pizzas which were beautiful and a glass of wine and a beer. Very reasonably priced too, could recommend Franco's to anybody. The place was full when we left so there you are. This will definitely 'not' be our last visit. Saluti!🍷🥂🍻

Franco's was at thought Park long before the rest of the development started to come together, and they've used their expertise from other restaurants in Leeds to good effect. There was a really welcoming presents there, with knowledgeable waiting staff keen to help with choices. The service was good and the food was delicious and very authentic. Definitely visit again!

Good food. Surprisingly busy for a Tuesday evening located on the edge of a business park. I can imagine it packed at lunchtime with office workers. Take away menu available. Now close to The Springs Shopping Centre so now has some competition but still has high standards and very good food.

Proper Italian! We visited on a Saturday afternoon to celebrate my sister - in - laws birthday and it was a great experience. I opted for the calzone picante and it was probably the best I've ever had. The service was just right and not too invasive. Cost was pitched just right for the quality. The surrounding were ' Italian' as you would expect although the location is 'different' :) All good and we will return - enjoy.

Went to celebrate a friend’s birthday with a large party of people. Food was lovely, If a little on the pricey side. Bit of a mix up with the starters meant that my wife and I didn’t get our starter. A couple at the far end got it as they’d asked for the same dish as a side to their main meal. Unfortunately we didn’t realise until the mains started arriving and we questioned the waiter. We were assured that we wouldn’t be billed for it. Turns out we were, however weren’t aware until we’d left. Minor issue as regards the missing starter as it was very busy, but maybe don’t charge for it. Otherwise, food was good quality.

Journeyed by car to the springs shopping centre and Franco’s restaurant was just around the corner. Although I had heard of this venue over last 10 years or so I had never ventured inside. Very pleased with this spacious restaurant. The service is second to none the owner came over to us for a friendly chat . Decided to have a late dinner whilst staying at the Thorpe Park Spa and Hotel and the staff were more than accommodating, especially as it was nearing their closing time (whoops!). It's a lovely family owned restaurant and the food was incredibly fresh and well-cooked - the best Italian I've had in a long time! A must visit!

What a lovely place to go. A hidden gem in leeds. We went today for the 2nd time but we should really go more often. The food is authentic, a great selection on the menu as well as specials. You can have a Sunday lunch here and the meat is carved in front of you. The service is perfect and we met Franco he came to our table for a chat and what a welcome you get. This is a real must to visit, you can get takeaway too but the dining experience is what I prefer and I really can't fault the whole experience. Cant wait to go back again.

This is the first time I have visited Franco's & I was not disappointed. The restaurant is large, spacious nicely decorated & has a very friendly atmosphere. The waiters are very polite and professional going about their duties looking after the many customers present. There was not an empty seat in the house so I suggest you book in advance if you want to enjoy and sample the genuine Italian cooking and wines on offer. We had A new born baby with us & he was well received and hot water was offered for his bottle and the toilets were well equipped for baby changing, including wet wipes. A first class experience all round. Already looking forward to a return visit.

A proper family run Italian restaurant not one of these naff chains or franchise. Staff are wonderful and make us feel like one of the family. Food is fresh and when they can sourced locally. They’ll happily make changes to meals ie, used lactose free cheese my sister in law brought, I didn’t like what came with the duck one day but fancied what came with the venison, so they switched them for me. Both my partner and I have food we must avoid and they’ve been great with this. We’ve never had a bad meal though on a few occasions have had to wait a long time for food. On these occasions the restaurant has been extremely busy and sincere apologies given. Some might say the food is expensive but for the quality and the quantity (portions can be overwhelming) it’s actually very reasonable. We’ve actually paid similar prices for low quality America Italian versions in the past, so it’s not expensive all things considered. Lesson learnt though, if we want Italian food then Franco’s is the place to go. Since the new shopping area has opened next door the restaurant has become lot more busy. Regardless of what evening it is I’d fully recommend booking in advance. Oh they’ll even give you free cooking tips as well 😉

Attentive staff, but if you’re looking for a romantic meal with a cosy atmosphere there is none; it’s a little bit like a work canteen which is a shame as could be wonderful with some attention to lighting /layout and may be background music. Will probably stick to local Italian in the future , but all in all great food

The food was delicious, plenty of it and middle of the road when it comes to price. Found the waiters to be bordering on rude, the restaurant reminded me of a spanish hotel cafeteria complete with children on scooters. My point is you have a good team of people and as the saying would say the company is as good as his people. My husband chose Number 2 Margarita and I chose number 5 Napolitan . Went to Franco's at Thorpe Park with a friend and I must admit this place is a hidden gem. I had the Linguine Carbonara with Pancetta and he had the Four Cheese Pizza and they were delicious. The portion sizes are huge and I was unable to finish all of mine despite only nibbling at the bread they bring for the table. The food was that good that I spoke to the manager and asked him to pass on my compliments to the chef. We will definitely be visiting this restaurant again in future and I will be taking other friends and family too. 5 Stars is truly not enough as it is worth at least 10. TJWhiteStar

Quite possibly the best puttanesca I've ever had. Very Italian, very welcoming, very nice. Wine list needs exploring, but the Chianti somewhere in the low £30s is pretty decent. Carpaccio of beef also very good but would prefer it without caramelised onions - at least they're on the side. Great beef though, loads of parmesan shavings and a huge wedge of lemon - just how I like it. Parking is free, but you must remember to enter your number plate into the number plate recognition screen upon entering the restaurant - it's straight in front of you as you walk in.

Located in a strange position, off the beaten track but dont let that put you off. Franco's is just what you want from a local Italian. Franco is the charismatic Italian host welcoming all and seemingly he knows everyone! A vibrant , buzzy atmosphere but not too noisy to have a good chat. Large menu with pizza and pasta staples plus a large specials menu of more exciting options. We shared a lovely tomato topped pizza for starters and I opted for calves liver with pancetta and sage from the special menu. My main was exemplary with a generous portion of perfectly cooked liver, loads of lovely salty, crispy pancetta and deep fried sage on top. Washed down with a nice Puglian red from the large wine menu i was most happy! Tiramisu for dessert was ok , lacking enough espresso and booze to make it my ideal but no complaints. Prices aren't cheap but when the food is this good im happy to pay. Recommended!!
