Reviews of Al Arez Express
J. S.
The food here was great! It was ridiculously busy and while there was zero line up I kept getting bounced around from water to waiter telling me they don't seat people.
The line cook told me to sit on the stools and just order which I did but then no one would take my order. The owner took charge and made sure I was taken care of and helped me. And after that the service was great. I did the mix grill, fattoush, and hummus. And all were exceptional like my grandmother used to make them back home.
Would definitely come back, but probably during a less busy time.

Every time I return to Al Arez Lebanese Restaurants 🌟 l understand that the soul❤ sings here, thе restaurants here are better than in many European countries, and the comfort, very tasty food, customer care, unforgettable mood cannot be compared at all 👏🙏😊🤗
H.
Food was actually very good! Lamb cutlets were just amazing and cannot be faulted in any way 😌
Rice was very dry and hard, almost like it was old or scraped off the bottom of the pan. I'd probably stick to the chips next time.
Plates could've been a bit bigger (portion size was good). Just found myself having to mess around trying to keep everything on the plate.
A. W.
Food was good quantity, fresh, friendly staff. Unfortunately my wife found a hair in her shish tawouk meal, we didn’t want to create a fuss around the other guests and ruin their experience. Overpriced but I guess it’s for the area in central London.
J. G.
Great food, lovely atmosphere, authentic experience.
Worth looking up and visiting when in London. Not far from Hyde Park.
Food was amazing, both for grownups and kids, big portions, generously packed with fresh and picked vegetables.
Meet cooked or grilled to perfection.
Restaurant tidy and clean all around.
Staff helpful and friendly.
Prices quite reasonable.
If I am ever back in the area, I will definitely go back and try something else from the menu.
J. D.
Service was good and food was decent. The aubergine vegetarian dish was the best one if you’re not eating any meat. I didn’t do hookah but it seemed very popular there
K. A.
Great customer service. Excellent food.
(The original across the road)
s.
Great service!
Starters batta Harra wasn't fresh. Main taste ok.
Overall good customer service.
m. m.
Very friendly staff and exceptionally delicious food. Shisha wasn't the greatest but I could not complain as it served its purpose as a quick smoke. prices were in line with all their competitors however it is slightly cheaper during day time. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and would definitely recommend it
M. S.
Amazing lebanese food no oily or spicy i love this food 🍱 very juicy & tasty . Staff was decent & polite. Great customer service and resonable prices. Highly recommended
M. U.
Crowded place, but food was good. Freshly cooked.
We had a big order and they did a good job to bring on the table nicely.
Good place to go there for economical food if you are near that road.
S. J. A.
Excellent mixed grill.
Very tasty meat.
Fresh and yummy Tabbouleh
Good friendly service.
Please note: no alcohol served but delicious fruit drinks
F. E. M.
The food was incredible, the waiter was lovely and helpful, and the price was totally worth it. Thank you guys, we will be back soon InshaAllah :)

I visited this restaurant yesterday evening for the first time and it did not disappoint. It was very busy when we arrived but the service was absolutely amazing and very professional we were seated straight away.
We ordered our food and there was not a long wait at all.
The food was very tasty and very generous portion sizes. This is a must try and I will be eating here again the next time I visit London :)
A. C.
I used to eat her regularly when I lived nearby, but this was my first visit for several years. Luckily it hasn’t changed. The food was amazing, fresh and tasty. They even dealt with one of my party having an unusual food allergy. I’ll be back when I can, hopefully not so long next time.
K. O.
We came here for my daughter's birthday recently. 5 of us in total. Total cost - £150
The bad stuff first...
The restaurant was freezing, and apparently they don't have any heating! We had our own cake which they brought out to the table... Eventually (after about 20/30 minutes!) singing 'happy birthday' which was nice and everything... but didn't bring out any plates or cutlery! After trying to get someone's attention for almost 15 minutes I had to get up and ask someone. Seems that was the only way to get anything sorted - they all seemed to walk around with blinkers and ear muffs on! And the toilets need a proper clean... As well as building work! Felt like things were crumbling around me!
The good stuff...
The food was lovely! We had the family sharing platter for 4, but it was more than enough for the 5 of us! Every thing was delicious!
Summary - great food, not the best service or facilities.
J. K.
Always excellent food, great value and fantastic service
M. M.
The food is fabulous and staff are great..
Very busy but you do get seated quickly and food arrives fast and hot..
Good value as well.
J. A.
My best Lebanese, the best Hummous, and chicken shawarma in town. Their juice menu and smoothies are excellent. Nice atmosphere, kind staff and generous portions of food.
y. s.
Usually a crowded place at edgware , I had mix grill, where lamb kabab was perfect, meat awsal and shish tawok was OK , shisha I have tried double apple they said the flavor is Nakhla but honestly I did not get any taste of flavor felt like Im just smoking coal, customer service was prompt, overall I would say a decent place for vibes and food.
H. C.
The best Lebanese food you can ever get! I have been to this place multiple times and not once have I been disappointed! My usual order consists of Hummus and Fattoush as starters and I have to say the fattoush salad is always so fresh and generously dressed absolutely love it! For mains I get always get a chicken shawarma sandwich only because the portions of everything else on the menu is so huge and I’ve already filled up on the starters because they’re so delicious! The atmosphere is always so lively and always book ahead because even on a weekday there will be lines out of the doors! Overall this place is a must go amazing atmosphere, amazing food, really nice staff and reasonably priced!
o. o.
Hello, I visited the restaurant to buy two plates of lamb shawarma and rice with two plates of baklava to take away. The price was forty pounds and the food was delicious it came with a variety of sauces and two packets of bread.
J.
Food was overall pretty good. The shisha was also not bad. Some of the waiters were, however, super unfriendly. Overall a good place though.
R. K. M.
Nice place for good food. Enjoyed with my friend. We had a good meal. Was worth the money we payed. Loved the chicken and the hummos. Must try when you are near by Leicester square in London
S. K.
Service is much to be desired but the food compensates for it. Wish your staff where attentive and welcoming I understand there could be a language barrier even though English is spoken. It feels like we are doing you guys a favour for coming. Shouldn't be like that. I'm sure and hopeful that changes will be made by management.
In terms of the food been to a few places down edgeware road and this place food wise is on par .
C. M.
Fabulous place!
Great service, great food and then you also have an opportunity to sit outside and relax whilst smoking a sheesha.
Always busy - but they still find the time to treat you well - highly recommended.
S. X.
Walked into thus restaurant not expecting much however I was shocked at the quality of food. IT WAS AMAZING. Authentic home cooked food that actually fills you up. Prices and portions were amazing for London. Will definitely be going back.
S. R.
Nice food and good prices for london portion size is a bit small though!
I. A.
Mr. Hasan who is the cashier or the manager thinks Indians or any other Asian can't afford eating at that place, it was a bad experience as we entered to the restaurant we were 3 and I knew how to talk in arabic and he was behaving in astonished way as if he is only who can talk in arabic and didn't even ask what help or what the order. I had to walk out and visited restaurant near marble arc they were just great people and also had great food. Thanks for the reply and may be it was a misunderstanding.
Y. M.
Well, honestly speaking
The more i try arabic food i this country the more i get disappointed.
I went today with my wife, friend and my son we had dinner inside the resturant.
We ordered different types of shawerma and i ordered my self bbq chicken.
The bbq chicken was nice but tge shawerma was really bad.
On the other hand, the service was really below average. We have to order everything more than twice to get it done.
Cleanliness, i think the stabdard in edgware road is not up to the prices they are claiming at all, from the 2nd you enter the place u will notice that hygiene is not a top priorty for the place and by having to go to the toilet it is really obvious that alot of work is needed.
I would give them an excuse as the first visit was on christmas day and the place was busy. Although no excuse for all these negatives.
I. R.
Sat outside under the heater with our bikes :-) food was excellent but we were only ordering shawarma rolls so service was not as quick as expected. But when it arrived was great!
S. G.
Very tasty baby chicken, just delicious!
Highly recommend to try it.
The cafe is good in general, very nice customer service.
When we asked for bill, they brought us Fruits and Baklava for free.
Thank a lot.
s. a.
Lovely food at a good price and outside sheehsa. Nice. Great customer service and friendly staff. Will definitely go again.
M.
It was very average and slightly disappointing, especially since the Al Arez branch in Chelsea is much better. The feta salad was completely tasteless - it had black olives from a can and the feta tasted like soft cheese. The hummus was ok, and the mixed grill was very average at best. Unfortunately I'm going to stick to the Chelsea branch and avoid this place!
I. T.
Sat outside in the Autumn sun, the heady smell of apple flavoured tabaco filled the air a whiff of middle Eastern spice catches the nose. The service is brisk and the food is delicious. Lunch time specials were great and all washed down with lovely mint tea. Go there, it is great!
E. R.
One of those old school gems; may look run down abs clientele is old but food is literally amazing, cosy service and overall a generous and positive feeling. Great restaurant!
S. K.
The pics below were lunch special 2 and lunch special 7. Great quality food, generous serving with complementary sides and desert! Extra bonus was awesome outdoor seating super nice when the suns out. Happy vibes and Highly recommended!
M. M.
Great food , ambience was ok, toilets were a bit run down and not taken care of .if you like Lebanese food good place to visit
N. N.
Amazing food, generous and tasty
S. T.
The manager Abba is one of the most kind person i have met in London so far…. Love this place and food….. must try their food
R.
One of the very few authentic Lebanese cuisine based restaurants in the country, and not one the many cheap imitation Lebanese restaurants you find across the UK. What can I say?...other than....The staff were friendly, the food was varied and stellar and the location is fantastic.
You have a variety of food options including traditional Lebanese starters such sujok, warak Enab, mutabbal, Baba ghanouj, humous, tabbouleh etc. The mains courses consist of meat skewers, sandwiches e.g. sharwarma sandwiches, rice based dishes etc. Soft drinks, tea, coffee (including Lebanese/Turkish coffee shots are also available) and freshly squeezed juices. Deserts are a selection of traditional Turkish-Lebanese sweets including baklava.
To conclude, the restaurant is clean, the food is brilliant, easily accessible and the staff are wonderful and welcoming. The picture below is an example of a rice based dish called "Stuffed lamb" made up of perfectly tender lamb ontop of rice containing a mixture of nuts garnished with a delicious salad. The drinks include freshly squeezed lemanode, ayran (a yogurt based drink) with a side of tabbouleh salad. If you are unable to eat all your food, the staff will provide you with plastic boxes to put your left overs in allowing you to enjoy the rest of dish back home! :)
L. C.
Service was slow and staff seemed disorganised
Food was ok
Lamb cutlets nice, big portion
It was a late dinner serving around 10pm
T. O.
Fantastic value for money, huge portions for 12 pounds or so. Juices were fresh as well, and are highly recommended.
A. A.
Al Arez accommodates friendly staff and the food is very reasonably priced. I ordered the mixed shwarma but it was overly greasy, more so than I’ve experienced before. However, the other dishes looked good. The kebabs are well made.
F. W.
Food is ok but service is quite slow. Good portion, price is good for its value.
K. A.
Food is ok but location is excellent for nice sheesha night.
M.
It was very good, there was plenty of food and the waiters were very friendly and helpful
J. M.
Food is great, staff are very friendly and prices are perfect.
R. B.
Good food, fairly quick and pretty friendly
M. Q.
The best Arabic restaurant in all United Kingdom! If you want fresh, delicious and mouthwatering Arab food come here! The staff were so nice to us. Can’t wait to go again soon
L. R.
Very friendly and hospital staff , food was nice , garlic sauce was authentic and delicious
D. M.
I think everyone here loves lemon 😅 because in the salad was extra lemon juice, my lemonade was with many extra lemons and on the table also many lemon slices. Overall food was nice 😉
A.
Very nice place to hang out with friends or family, they do decent sheesha as well and the prices are amazing for Central London. Love their shawarma and its so cheap for less than £6.
A. F.
Had such a great experience here! We came from a different city and the staff where super lovely, especially Haadi who gave us excellent service! Will definitely come back ! Thank you Haadi
A. I. C.
Love the food here!! The outside heaters make the space so cosy, the prices are beyond decent for dining in Central London, the portions are great and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I went back twice in the space of two weeks, so that says a lot! Highly recommended if you love authentic Lebanese food :)
B. C.
Very nice and helpful staff. Food was great with perfect seating area. Will come back for sure.
D. I.
This restaurant is mixed in its offerings. Some of the food is very nice and other not so good. The falafel was very tasty & the chips were fresh and hot. My friend had a chicken wrap and she said it wasn't very nice. Tasteless sauce in it and unlike other restaurants similar to this they give salad in the wrap but this one was just the chicken & sauce.
Service wasn't very good as the waiter wasn't at all attentive. Just put the food down & walked away before we had chance to ask for condiments and so on.
I do not recommend this restaurant much & won't be returning.
j. r.
Beautiful food fast service and friendly staff
Very welcoming and reasonably priced
M. A.
Very nice food, good atmosphere and good service too. Generous portions of freshly cooked authentic Lebanese food
S. H.

F. N.
Scrumptious Arabic food with amazing ambience.
F. H.
Good taste and quantity. Ordered Humus, Chicken shish and lamb beyati...
M. G.
Very professional waiting service . The food was excellent and we didn't have to wait a long time to be served. I really enjoyed it
A. S.
Nice area and nice food. The staff are also very nice, the shisha isn’t bad however after 15 min the smoke gets less and you have to frequently ask for a coal change. I ordered lamb shish with rice, orange juice and a mint tea with a peach kiwi mint shisha and the price came up to £41
S. A.
Great hospitality, good food, moderate price.
A. T. V.
Nice food
But unfortunately staff is not welcoming and wash room is wasn't clean.
n. k.
Great shawarma along with their salads. Can get busy so orders do take a while to get sorted.
A. J.
Tried Lebanese food for first time and this place was the best! Highly recommended! Hummus at it best! 👏best Turkish coffee in town!
N. S.
Such a lovely restaurant, not normally a great fan of shawarma but this was amazing. Service was really quick, staff was nice and friendly. Only issue is the chips came out slightly oily. Apart from that was great 👍
M. W.
Tasty Lebanese food coupled with friendly service.
M. R.
Shawarma is good. Where as Shank with rice was not as good as I was expecting bit tasteless.
D. M. C.
We went to the restaurant on a Sunday around 3pm and it was not busy. We ordered the lunch menu and the portions were more than enough, really delicious and priced ok for the area. The food was ready in 10min so we didn't wait at all. I would recommend 👌
S. S.
Loved it, 😍 food is so delicious and worth it.
L. L.
Very nice food love it chef barak thank you so much 😊
F. S.
Food was good
Service was bit slow because only two waiters for crowded place.
A. T.

G. H. G. L.
Food and was good quality, but service very bland and unwelcoming.
M. V.
Great Arabic food best we found in London
S. M.
Okay service.
Food and drinks excellent
A. S.
Delicious food and respectable staff. 😊
A. E.
Brilliant choice of food. Kids loved it.
U. M.
Great food, hummus was delicious. Great service and friendly staff
A. S.
Great food with perfect service. Enjoyed my meal there
N. T.
I love their food. I’ve been a couple of times. Unfortunately their rice is not fresh, I can feel it’s microwaved.
They messed up our order recently and only brought half of it. Took them forever to bring the drinks. There is one lady who works there who is very good and gives perfect service. I go for their set menu for two which is perfect. I would prefer a bigger salad portion. Otherwise everything is perfect, thank you.
J. E.
Love the foods.Tasty food not too expensive..service is excellent however when they are busy they tend to forget little stuff which is no big deal.Great atmosphere good prices friendly staff and the food is delicious!I always go there because the food taste great.
L. R.
Great place to stop for a meal any time of the day. Always lively and the food is very homely.
N. P.
Had a great Lebanese meal served by polite and attentive staff, which was reasonably priced. After leaving a tip, we were asked to stay and given free drinks.
M. N. K.
Amazing food and then tea was gr8, definitely recommended
Q. A.
Stuffed lamb, fish with rice and tahini (sayadieh), baby chicken, kibbeh, baba ghanoush, humous, lamb biryani and falafel are just some of the menu items I will indulge in on my visits to Al Arez. Have been a regular visitor for the last decade since I live close by and they've always satisfied my hunger. Can't say much for their waiting skills. If you ask for something mid-meal, chances are you'll have to ask another 4 or 5 times, unless of course youre a woman with silky soft hair and a delight to look at, in which case these guys'll be hovering around your table like moths on a fly zapper. They used to provide complementary baklawa, but that's now a thing of the past, as are their complementary olives and pickles.
S. A. a.
Good food great ambience but quite expensive but taste is good
S. J.
A nice restaurant with a great variety of vegetarian dishes. I went with a couple of friends, I enjoyed the food. The only gripe was the waiter had to be reminded to bring my drink albeit the others received theirs. The toilets could do with a clean.
M. A.
A good place to rest and enjoy the nice atmosphere
F. Q.
Nice atmosphere, clean.. Prices bit on the high side.. But its central London and full of fun, so it's not too bad..
S. E.
Good and prompt service yet food is average.
F. K.
This is the place to be in london! The best management- the best staff! Had the best weekend nights here on a girls weekend with friends- we will visit this place every time!
Just amazing!
D. K.
Expansive food don't tests nothing poor service
N. M.
The best Lebanese food I had in London until now
T. E.
Hospitality 🤗🤗🤗 shisha
G.
We didn't try any food, so can't review that or reccomend anything. Just had a coffee, which was genuine and a shisha, which was ok. Place was busy, bustling, it's on wide pavement of busy Edgware Road, so always great for people watching if you like that.
A. C.
Great food, but the sites are very crowded
J. D.
Good service and Very nice food, not too expensive ££.
The toilet is not very clean and the door doesn't work.
H. I.
Unfortunately I only had a video I took of the food so I tried to take screenshots from it. The food wasn’t anything exceptional but it acceptable. I had the Large shawarma and it was good. More than the food the chilli and garlic sauce they gave us was absolutely delicious
N.
Good authentic food tasty shawarma lots of tourist
A. B.
Great food, good value for money, friendly staff.
H.
I like the feel of this place and food was great and I must mention the salad was very tasty...
Reason of 4/5 points is that the portion sizes are small and staff needs to be friendly :)
R. U.
Decent food, the toilets however were awefully dirty, looks like no one is looking after the back rooms.
M. R.
Been here many times in the past but over the years we feel the food quality has definitely decreased. You can get a table pretty quick even on Saturday 7/8pm. 3 stars because the shawarma lacked salt and sauces were pretty much tasteless compared to how we remember them. They have changed their food to a palette different to the Arab/Lebanese taste. The waiting staff are lovely and kind. Portions are generous.
V. L.
Went with a friend under his recommendation. I will be going back again. Large, tasty portions. Friendly, fast staff. Loads of complimentary side dishes. I had the mixed grill which was lovely, well cooked but I couldn't finish. Also the melon juice was delicious, freshly blended.
M. V.
My friend Wadood brought me to this place for dinner and it was absolutely lovely. We had a special Iftar for Ramadan menu and not only I we had a large array of dishes (dates, fattoush, lentil soup, moutabal, hummus, chicken shawarma, etc) but they were also very tasty. I would definitely recommend you stop by this place during your stay in London!
S. P.
Good coffee and sweets. Nice service
A. D.
Good to grab a quick sandwich. Good quality food .
A. P.
For a Central London restaurant, you would have thought the prices would be ridiculously high for something as simple as a lamb shawarma wrap. But no, the prices are so fair and reasonable you can go and enjoy a whole meal for just £10. The food quality is good in all aspects and the restaurant is clean and well maintained. This is close to Hyde Park so you can to relax in the park after a meal. With its competitors, Al Arez shines out as a more affordable restaurant, but that price does not affect the quality of food which is very high. I would for sure come back to this restaurant for the food and service.
S. H.
Really tasty and fresh food, and also a good price for what you get. Ordered the set Mixed Kebab and Swarma for 2 people, but could have easily been enough for 4. The decor was a little dated... but clean, and the people watching views of Edgware road made up for it.
U. U. (.
Often too busy in weekends, staff have little time presenting menu, taking orders, answering questions relating to dishes.
Oh, you'll find take away shawarma next door more flavoursome than this one's.
I. B.
The food is great. The staff are friendly. We love people watching whilst eating outside on the busy street.
N. P.
It can be difficult to choose amongst all the Lebanese restaurants on Edgware Road, but Al Arez had a welcoming atmosphere so we decided to try it when we went out for a family meal. And we were very pleased with our choice! The food was fantastic and the portions were very generous (we had a mixture of chicken stew, vegetarian moussaka, stuffed lamb) and there were lots of complimentary food to accompany the meal, including baklava to go with our mint tea. Above all, the service was excellent - Bilal, our waiter, was very friendly and accommodating. Overall Al Arez has a very comfortable and relaxed environment, and we will definitely be going again!
M. U.
We went to break fast this week with my friends but I have to say the food is not very good. The food was cooked long time and not very fresh..... I had a little stomachache after the meal but nothing too serious. One of my friends too. I think they prepared food too early during Ramadan. Food does not taste bad though, just shame it was not very fresh.
B. M.
I love Lebanese cousin and this place has some decent menu and great taste overall. They could improve the interior a bit in terms of atmosphere and maybe think of more modern look. These type of places to eat should also improve their management and customer service definitely.
M. A.
Well it is not as tasty as the other restaurant and expensive
M.
The best Lebanese restaurant i ever ate in. The drawback was waiting for the food but it was all worthwhile. They haVE GENEROUS portions. I ordered lamb chops and omg!! the most delicious food i ever tasted.I highly recommend this restaurant when you are in London. The staff was efficient and courteous . I wish i stayed longer or i probably will eat there everyday .
S. F.
Very tasty, would recommend
Q. B.
Brilliant meal.very well priced for this part of London.
Kibbeh were moist, shawarma hummus was huge, my mix grill was fantastic too. All well priced and a large seating area to relax in. The red chilli sauce was to die for.
Attentive waiters and good food at a good price and huge portions make for a happy customer.
Will definitely be back
A. A.
Great restaurant for families. Portions are large and food is hearty. Has ample room to sit but lacks in baby facilities. Has a baby change area but is exposed to the kitchen and staff area. Prams/buggies easily parked at the front of restaurant and baby chairs available.
A. M.
Al-Arez has great food. My friend and I come here almost every week and the food never disappoints. The value for money is unbeatable and the service generally good.
This is not a place to take a date as the decor is more like a canteen, but you don't go for the atmosphere, you go for the food. 😊
M. A.
Brilliant place to eat really nice food reasonable prices very good customer service can't go wrong 👌
M. M.
Amazing food.
Professional and lovely staff.
Visiting again and again
N. Z.
Lebanese food lover? this is where you want to go.
Stuffed lamb is my favourite. LAMB CHOPS - yes yes yes they were the first to inspire me that what more you could ask for - a few more ribs in a lamb please!
And the price is good and so are the portions, depending upon your belly and pocket size ;)
By the way, the waiting time could be a bit daunting but hey be patient, it's worth it!
R. C.
To say this restaurant is worth visiting would be a HUGE understatement.
Here's why:
Located halfway between two tube stations, it's easy to access from all around London. With amazing quality food, friendly staff, and lots of options on the menu - it's a no brainer.
I'm now a Vegan, but I used to be Vegetarian - so if you're lactose intolerant or worried that you're going to be out of choices. Don't.
I think every time I have had a Mousakka Stew, it's about £10 at the time of writing, and it's absolutely massive. I always take half home for lunch or dinner the next day.
If you would prefer a selection of food, they do that too!
We recently went as a group of about 14 people and chose to order lots of small dishes. How much did it come out at?
Around about £7 per person, and everyone was completely full. We even had about 3 servings of Baklava.
I'm not really into the shisha smoking, but if you like that then it is available outside. The smell doesn't seem to come into the restaurant, so there's no need to worry about that.
Across the road is the Express version, and it's just as good but a little smaller. Both are incredibly welcoming and I strongly recommend that you give this restaurant a shot.

Great food, always busy and great size portions at a reasonable price. Being busy always is the sign of a good resteraunt, hence the prices and quality of food remains very affordable and top quality. Range of dishes for both vegetarians and meat eaters.
A. R.
This is one of the reasonable priced restaurant on Edgware Road. They rest are all rip offs. The quality is good. It used to be single shop then they expanded it. The food quality is very good. Staff is friendly. I would highly recommend this place if you feel like eating from anywhere on Edgware Road belt.
H. C.
Fresh delicious food. Good customer service
S. P.
Everything about this restaurant is just fantastic!! We ordered chicken soup and homous with chicken topping as starter and the size of food was massive and big enough for 2 people to share. And our main dish was mix grill which was really nice and there were 2 different type of complementary sauce and olives and baklava and tea and unlimited pita for free! Yes we ordered 3 things and rest was complementary! It was a lot of food for 2 people and its was really good and tasty! Total bill was only about £25 for all this! And the service of Hameed (waiter) and environment was really great! My favourite restaurant from now on Edgware Road! :)
M. N.
As a resident of Birmingham, I've been eating here for the last seven years when we visit London, very good food.
A. A.
Absolutely the best restaurant I have been to that has a nice location, amazing food , the best staff in the world who do their job properly and have a laugh with the customers. If the weather is cold they have outdoor heaters and if you are still cold the give you a warm blanket. Al Arez restaurant has very nice food and I would say the prices are very reasonable. Order a shawarma sandwich with fries with a coke and have a double apple shisha absolutely the best experience would definitely recommend
Y. K.
Lovely Lebanese place, filled with locals, big portions and very reasonable prices and good drinks options. Place is quite busy and they want you to enjoy your long meal so might take a while. If you are a brewed tea lover then I would recommend try the mint tea and order glasses :)
K. M.
Decent place for shisha, food was alright but I only had cheesy chips. Heating outside was great in the cold weather. Would be 4 stars but staff need to pay a little more attention to customers needs.
Z. D.
Friendly staff, delicious food, affordable prices.
K. N.
A great little Lebanese place that I have been to many times over the years. They do wonderful fresh juices as they also double up as a juice bar. They have lots of grills on the menu and they are great value for money. The service can be a bit slow and awkward, but they are quite busy usually, so I have come to accept it.
F. K.
Food was amazing
A. F.
Good food, seating is good no long waiting times
A. T.
V Good 👍 Shisha in london
H. S.
Food quality is undoubtedly very good, variety is not bad, but the service can definitely improve. We came on a busy day and the guy serving us was not friendly and quite impolite. Other waiters were much nicer though.
A. S.
Good food bad service.. And story continues. We have been visiting this place on and off for last 7 years now and after every visit we decide not to go again for some time because the service was so poor. But why do we go back, you may ask.
Because the food is so good. However the entire experience is ruined because your food comes in batches, you are waiting forever to get waiters attention to get another order or just to get water or juice.
So far, Mezzet in East Molesey is still the best Lebanese restaurant I have been to, in London.
B. B.
The best restaurant ever! Amazing lebanese food and for me is a good price, very nice atmosphere and staff
Y. A.
Amazing place been there for years and I practically go there every time I'm on Edgware road
a. a.
I Had the pleasure of eating great food here tonight. The restaurant is spotless and offers a great service. As I'm working away from home it's always good to find another great place to hopefully return to one day.
S. K.
A bit pricey for the type of restaurant it is.
S. M.
Excellent food, I started with Kibbeh Halabiyyeh which were delicious and shared a mixed grill platter which was all cooked to perfection.
The hummus was very nice with fresh bread being stocked up without us needing to ask.
They also have a small prayer space downstairs and the staff were happy to charge my friend's iPhone when he asked.
Overall, 5-star experience.
A. S.
I was working round the corner they kindly opened early to let me get a coffee friendly service good people
A. E.
Very good shisha, good food but some how expenses
G. L.
Lots of locals so it is meant to be very authentic. We had chicken liver for starter, which was in very big portion. The lamb shawarma was a bit disappointing because the skin was not charred enough and not crispy. The meat itself is also favourless. Please avoid it. I must say it is a great place for shisha and the jasmine tea was awesome.
S. E.
Amazing food, lots of funny moments with the waiters who were so so kind! The food came fast and in a huge portion! They were so happy to help and I will definitely be returning! Shout out to Mohyiddin with the glasses and Sherif and Hassan! Thank you all, we had a great night!
s. I.
Despite the food beng so good. However the entire experience is ruined because your food comes in batches, you are waiting forever to get waiters attention to get another order or just to get water or juice.
So far, Mezzet is still the best Lebanese restaurant I have been to, in London.
Y. L.
Went last minute on a Saturday night as fancied some shisha and nibbles. Can get quite busy but has decent shisha and large food menu to choose from. Heat lamps keep you warm in the winter time and we easily spent a good few hours here chilling out.
I. C.
Great service and lovely food , with a mint tea to boot , what more can you ask for on a sunny day in the heart of London.
h. h.
Amazing restaurant, brilliant service and customer curtesy, good music and Arabia environment, among all of that very delicious food. I loved it
A. R.
Great place for a good quality kabab. When I looked at the menu I thought it was a bit expensive but the portions are very big and food good quality and reflects the price. Friendly service and chilled out atmosphere. Free baklava at the end of the meal makes for a nice over all dining experience.
M. H. M.
Good food. Depends what you're into. For me wasn't my thing. Friends I went with loved it. So take their word for it. Chicken shawarma for the win.
N. C.
Food average but staff very friendly. Breads aren't that special & halumi pastry very bland. To be honest Edgware Road is awful for food. Especially Lebanese & similar areas. I've lived next to it for 8 years & haven't found anything decent. I would only go for Shisa.
A. R.
I came here during a trip in London. Looking at the menu the food was really overpriced for what your getting. Food came in about 10 minutes by that time I was getting impatient, food was alright but a bit dry (I ordered a chicken shawarma by the way). Would recommend only for a quick take away.
B. B.
Great food.. nice atmosphere and staff
A. H.
Lovely fresh food served up here. Waiter called Ali was top notch.
i. n.
Decent sheesha place on Edgware road. The kofte skewers we're really good while the chicken was average. Got fattoush and humous for starters, the fattoush was really bad while the homous had a good texture but had no taste. The place is alright but there are definitely better places on the street (Marroush)
N. A.
Great lamb Sharwarma wrap, would definitely visit again. Nice and friendly service too.
A. L.
Great food, friendly atmosphere. Definitely eat here!
A. P.
Amazing food with shisha and in a great location. I really recommend to come here If you want to try a new style of food or love the food already
F. k.
Reasonably priced Arabic cuisine
M. P.
Love their Fatoush and Avacado juice. Also, their Shawarma quality is much better now still they can't beat the Shawarma from Helen's
M. L.
Generous portions with great service and lovely fresh juices.
S. A.
Humungous portions...order two mains per 3 people.
Prayer facilities for those who want it.
Tasty food, decent value food. Specify bread or rice with meal. Not always clear if it is included. Fatoosh salad awesome.
Warning!!!! Can be busy and noisy...sometimes difficult to hear over the noise of chattering diners.
The little bakhlawa they give with the bill is lush. 😁
A. I.
Great Lebanese food, with some clever ordering you can have a great meal for not much money!
J. L.
Food very good and service too
A. K.
Hot summers day went with a friend for a light snack. Food was good and came pretty quick, Shisha was average. Our waiter was very attentive and a good laugh. Would recommend to come for a light snack/ food.
W. N.
Great place in terms of being cosy with nice decorations, friendly staff, orders arrives rapidly, big amount and good quality of food and reasonable prices in comparison to other Arabic restaurants in London.
I tried lahm mashwi, sambosik with cheese and fried potatoes. I could not complete my dish due to the large amount. They serve free pickled olives with every dish and will give you baklawa at the end as a sweet. Ofcourse, I will go again and I recommend it for everyone likes Arabic Halal food.
A.
Fine service and food quality.
S. B.
Food was ok but the service lacking
R. F.
The food is amazing, and the portions are really large, so a great place if you are really hungry. I would come back and recommend it to a friend
J. S.
It took a long time for anyone to help us as we were outside on the far side of the store. One shisha flavour was lovely. The other.... Not so much
c. r.
On Edgware road. Really pleasant staff and good selection of food, both lunch and a la carte menu. Also reasonably priced. There is also outdoor eating space as well.
S. H.
Okay..service and food went down than before
B. C.
Food, service and shishas all great! I go every other week!
R. M.
Delicious and great food to share experience, love it!
S. S.
Perfect and very tasty food 😍😍
P. V.
Amazing service and food. Great atmosphere, our waiter Bilal was so attentive and funny. Would highly recommend and will return. Thank you
G. C.
It's ok, not as good as it used to be. Food ok, service bad and not very clean.
M. K.
Brilliant food, always fresh, two stars lost because I left my sunglasses there and they didn't give them back, told me they were lost. Partly my fault, but would have been nice if they saved them.
K. A.
Thanks for everybody there! Nice atmosphere, clean and welcoming as well. The dinner with my family last night was lovely, and the food was delicious!
The shawarma Checkn and Falafel 👍🏻.
Thank you!
R. H.
Really delicious foods. They give everything in huge quantity. Would recommend to everyone. I also plan to go there a couple of times more and taste different other menus.
A. S.
Usually very good. This time wasn't so good but I think we had a new waiter. Fantastic food always, normally huge portions but not so much this time.
J. F. G. I. W.
Lovely food brilliant staff and service
M. T.
Best Falafel in Edgware road. Very friendly staff. Not keen on the fries though.
A. A.
Best Lebanese food in london
K. J.
delicious lebanese cuisine! fantastic salads and hummus with lamb. after having a snack we had a shisha smoking session. we were advised on what we should go for (you should try grape-mint combo - it's excellent!). and we got a couple of baclava pieces on the house :) exceptional service!
Z. K.
Nice fresh food, reasonably priced and good service.
I. A.
Food and service were average
A. T. (. t. R.
Excellent food and great staff. The food is reasonably priced and delicious while small things like a complementary helping of olives while you read the menu add to the welcoming atmosphere.
I. S.
Get the lamb shanks and chips absolutely delicious🤤
N. A. B.
Nice place for gathering. I had no food at the restaurant
S. S.
Huge portions of tasty food, with fast and friendly service. The atmosphere is good as it's ever so slightly off the main road, but still quite a basic cafe setting.
A. H.
Fantastic place for a delicious breakfast. The famous bread they call 'manakees' is very yummy. I would highly recommend this place! Lovely Middle Eastern vibe.
A. U.
Food was tasty. Portion size was good. Friendly staff and punctual service.
B. S.
Probably most reliable place to eat on Edgware Road, nice shawarmas and meats grilled
K. J. M.
I was on holiday in london for the New year and as a family with 6 adults plus one 10 year old and a boy just short of his 2nd birthday we all loved the food and the atmosphere as well. I would recommend the restaurant to anybody.
M. W.
Great food at a very reasonable price, we asked for just tap water to drink but were given mineral water for free. Excellent restaurant with friendly and helpful staff.
T. H.
Good Lebanese food and excellent value - we ate like kings for £30 all in inc soft drinks. Service is patchy so best to just kick back and take your time...
L. D.
Nice place. Very busy so not sure if this affected our order but the food wasn’t a tasty as I’ve had from other Lebanese restaurants.
J. C.
Best chilli sauce in the universe
K. C.
The water with a wedge of lemon never came, eveything else was nice. But the waiters didn't listen they just said yes to the request and never fulfilled it.
P. S. A.
Decent food, slow service
A. H.
Food was great but a bit expensive
H. K.
Very nice and very friendly. Middle Eastern food is not my favourite but I still enjoyed this place everything was very fresh and definitely all made in house.
C. D.
I am always served fresh, tasty, well seasoned food. Waiters always polite, & kind to me. I have seen some very rude customers, so waiters have a tough job! Respect to all hardworking, professional, staff. I visit often. Great for children too. JAZAKALLAH.
E. R. M.
This restaurant is very similar to the other ones on Edgware Road. The grill was ok. Service could have been better.
M. F.
Ordered 6 starters between 2! Could of fed 4 easily!!! Food was delicious, service was great :-)
M. A. B.
Execellent service, food tastes delicious and always fresh. Well worth checking out if your looking for bite to eat and you fancy Lebanese cuisine.
O. H.
Love this place for late night eats... get on really well with all the staff who are super friendly and provide the perfect end to a night out. Sharwarma is probably the go to item.
T. H.
Consistant good quality food.
D. A.
Took very long to give coffee
f. r.
Lots of olives. Nice food. Very casual place. Could have a cosier decor. Not fancy or romantic. Just a place to eat when you need.
A. C.
Al Arez is at heart of the Knightsbridge and very close to Harrods. Although it is 13:00 and crowded service is very fast. The staff is very helpful. I tried shish kebap, the taste is avarage but it’s ok.
F. *.
One of the best lebanese restaurant.
Fresh food with a lot of choice.
Every order was very delicious.
Service is perfect, fast and pleasant.
G. R.
Food ok, nothing special, but don't you dare thinking that it's ok to dine outside if you're not thinking to have shisha, it's like against their own rules!!!... It's a restaurant in the end, and sure you must be alslowed to just eat outside, come on!...
C. P. t.
Very nice hospitable ..had tea and food. Sat outside..nice
A. R.
Great food and fast service. Reasonably priced for Edgeware Road.
S. A.
Ate here on Saturday last. First time in a Lebanese cafe. Lovely attentive staff and the best halloumi I’ve ever had. Thank you.
M. M.
A lot of competition in Edgware Road when it comes to food and shisha but Al Arez is somewhere I’d recommend.
D. L.
Lots of fun. BIG by London standards, greta portions, well-made, and I enjoyed a shisha a bit later after an incredible comprised of multiple starters and a couple of well chosen mains.
K. v.
we have been many times.food and service where excellent but now it feels like come eat give us your money nd leave
try to find somebody polite to serve u
many of the staff are rude , food is deteriorating and portions are smaller
m. s.
Really nice food. Good service. Friendly staff. Clean and welcoming. Good portion sizes. We loved the falafels, humous and the lebanese biryani is so so nice!!
S. S.
Good clean place...friendly service ..great place for families...reasonably priced
S.
Excellent authentic fresh ingredients and wholesome food. Great value. Good service. Slightly lacking in atmosphere.
K. A.
As a family we like this restaurant because it's spacious and the food is authentic Lebanese cuisine. Reasonably priced for central London.
K. Z.
Great atmosphere, excellent food and friendly staff.
V. G.
Shisha was good, food was below average, service was abit slow even when it wasnt that busy.
M. A.
Excellent. Pricey though. Not as good as beirut express which unfortunately is no longer on edgeware road
I. K.
Very nice and good quality grilled food especially for Edgware Road...

Food is good, service could be a lot better. Felt like we were forgotten about the whole night, even when we tried to pay the bill
A. M.
Its alright...we had shawrma tea and sheesha. We sat outside the place to sit was small..but overall decent place to chill out with some friends for sometime
A. O.
Fresh, delicious food and very friendly staff
a. r.
The food is good, the place needs to be more. Clean, especially the BOH when you can have a sneak peak. The toilets should be more taken care of.
F. N.
Great Lebanese food on the busy Edgware Road ...
I'd recommend going here during lunch time to take advantage of their lunch time specials (which gives you a good variety), but also, to sample the dish (special) of the day.
Y.
Amazing experience food amazing and nice waiters 10/10
S. S.
The food is good, but not all the waiters are welcoming. Insisting on selling us a 2 pound bottle of water instead of giving us a carafe of water.
S. N.
Absolutely outstanding authentic food. Service was very warm and welcoming. Couldnt recommended Al Arez highly enough.
A. A.
Good place to eat arabic food
J. S.
Best service provided by Mr Mehmood who served us and made it easier for us to choose for the whole family and kids. The best customer service. Food was great. Thanks guys.
F. K.
Good quality food at decent prices. I also liked the friendly customer service. Respectable.
I. Y.

M. A.

L. W.
One of my favourite places to eat I love the food there and have been many times
A. F.
Very nice arabic food, I would recommend stuffed lamb along with chicken liver, nice place for shisha smokers,
V. C.
Ok for a cheap eat, not an extensive arrange of Lebense food. Seemed more like a grill cafe. Food was tasty though of what we had.
D. D.
Great food. Very good service. Very good quantity. Was never rushed. Good suggestions too.
R. J.
Good food, value for money. Staff not really friendly
A. N. E.
