Reviews of Bocconcino Restaurant
V. D.
Went there for a dinner. Had their tasting menu (7 dishes). Every single dish was amazing. Interior is different, depending where you are seated (including a DJ downstairs), but I preferred a more cosy atmosphere and was seated in a quiet area. Staff is professional, wine list is great (lots of Italian wines at selection).

With lovely decorations and solid setting, this exquisite Italian restaurant in the heart of Mayfair made our night. We got the authentic Caesar’s salad, salmon and pasta. Needless to say that everything was flavourful. For dessert we had the New York style cheesecake with wild berries as a topping and it was an amazing experience. The quality of the personnel was top notch, friendly and attentive. Totally recommend it !!
G. A.
March 2022- had the tasting menu. Food amd decor was good but the service was rushed. Plates were put in front of the guests from all sides with no explanation of the dishes. We had to keep asking for water to be topped up. One of the party was celebrating a birthday but their celebratory plate was brought and given when a few people were not at the table. There are many other places that give the same quality of food with much better service at the same price point so I won't be going back.

Exquisite Italian restaurant in the heart of Mayfair lovely decor and setting. Serving authentic Italian dishes as well as a wide selection of wine and cocktails. We are vegetarian and they prepared some off the menu dishes to cater for our needs- attentive and friendly service staff, the tiramisu is delightful thoroughly recommend.

The experience was very good.
Food: good range and all comes prepared very nice.
Drinks: lots of choice and some very nice themed ones.
Atmosphere: always busy so creates a nice vibe with music and a DJ
Price: not too expensive for Mayfair - reasonable compared to some of the other places in the same area.
Will go again!

The place is spacious with warm and earthy undertones. Nice ambient to feel intimate with people. Also, prompt service and attentive staff.
The starters were tasty (crispy calamares and parma ham). However, the mains were quite a let down. One pizza dough was overcooked (slightly burnt and had a chipped crust).
The truffle pasta costing £38 was rather underwhelming as it tasted bland or unseasoned. It also got real oily towards the end.
Overall, I felt like the place was slightly overpriced for food food that tasted mediocre for us. Though, we did enjoy the starters and the service was great.
L. O.
Busy yet intimate athmosphere. We had a great time there: the service was cordial, interesting menu, tasty food and quite generous portions. My partner loved the tartare, and I loved the pasta!
W. O.
Beautiful beautiful restaurant with seemingly authentic Italian dishes - I had the lobster Linguine and that was divine. On the higher end re price range but still definitely worth it.
T. P.
This place is a great find. Deceptively big, nice dining setting and the food is great!
Service was attentive. Our glasses were topped frequently. Speed of service was spot on. No long waits between courses but enough time to catch a needed break.
My only critique points are:
Toilets are singles. Could be problematic when busy.
The pasta was unseasoned. When your spending £38 on a pasta dish, you want it served ans seasoned correctly. Basics like this shouldn't be overlooked
The octopus was slightly chewy. Personally could have been crisper too. Easily achievable ans would have added to the overall flavour. The fillet beef steak tartar was really tasty, only improvement would have been to include the egg yolk on top and a small portion of bread on the side to accompany it.
House Red was absolutely delicious. I had a taste (I was driving sadly) but the taste I had was delicious. Great legs, bold, smooth and juicy with a long finish for the price. Reminiscent of great montepulciano. Can't remember the name but I believe it was the cheapest by the glass, if that helps anyone.
Had the small details on the food been met, it would have been 5 stars.
Would I return again? Yes! But I would certainly draw attention to the details and ensure previous dislikes were dealt with at the time.
For 3 of us, starters and 4 mains, plus 3 drinks and 2 bottles of water, came to £275 (including service at 12.5%)
P. G.
Visited Saturday enjoyable treat for my girlfriend . Had the tomahawk steak for two which was for me ! Overall something different to try
D. A. H.
Food was good but overpriced. Worse of all the doorman was rude and unwelcoming. Blocked our entry into the restaurant and demanded to know if we had a reservation. Possibly the worse reception I have ever had at any restaurant I've dined in, in all my lifetime. I was very tempted to leave at that stage. He definitely needs some customer service training. To the manager please get your act together or your restaurant will continue to be half empty like it was this Friday night.

Spot on Italian food! I wouldn't usually choose an Italian restaurant for special occasions but my wife insisted she wanted to try this place out. Turns out they have loads of seafood dishes which happen to be my favourite. We went for the salt crusted sea bass which was absolutely delicious. I also recommend the seafood risotto and the burrata (we had a bit of a feast to celebrate our anniversary!). Great experience all round, the DJ was playing some banging tunes complimenting the evening.
K. B.
A great place in Mayfair! My friend and I went out for dinner on the weekend and were blown away by this place. From the staff and our meal to the atmosphere - everything was awesome. They have an extensive cocktail list, mine came in a glass dome with smoke - great presentation! Will be back for sure to try out more drinks and dishes xx
L. J.
What a beautiful and fun restaurant! I love to go out in Mayfair and Bocconcino just adds to the reason why. The waiters were very friendly, the food was on point, and the cocktails were showy (the way I like them) but still super tasty. I've seen they have a weekend bottomless brunch which I will definitely be trying out.
L. M.
Went for lunch and tried the set menu. The beetroot salad and the buffalo mozzarella were pretty basic. I didn’t enjoy the mackerel for mains as much. In comparison, the hand-made pasta is definitely a better choice for mains.
Didn’t really enjoy the food a lot. Definitely better restaurants in the area. Wouldn’t recommend.
a. m.
Came here for valentines, which was a very romantic restaurant 😍 had a wonderful time with my partner.
Service was great the waiter made us each a special cocktail that wasn’t on the menu, which was delicious!
Only down fall was the food that was recommended for us was very tasteless and stale, I’m not normally one to leave food on their plate but that evening I couldn’t stomach the taste. Very disappointed to wake up with a belly ache the next day.
Beside the food not being pleasant, everything else was spot on 🙌🏽
M. S.
Italian cuisine at its finest. The restaurant is a little too tightly set out leaving little space between tables... but that’s the Italian style. The food here is fresh and good. All dishes are there and they are amazing. Lunch is just perfect over here. The layout is a bit weird but elegant. Easy to know when people are coming in and out so you can see your guests when they arrive.
O. H.
I highly recommend this place if you're looking for great Italian food in London! My wife and I enjoyed a lovely dinner at Bocconcino recently. Great place for dinner dates, their wine selection is amazing and their sommelier helped us choose the perfect one for our meal. Will definitely be back for more pasta (the seafood risotto my wide has was SO good!) and more desserts.
L. M.
The best Italian restaurant in Mayfair and even London! The ambience was great for a Thursday night dinner and drinks. I recommend trying the cocktails as they have a surprisingly good selection.
a. b.
Very good quality food service was excellent and it's a very modern restaurant great place for lunch.
J. P.
I came here for lunch with my family when they were in town and I’m so happy I chose this place! My parents and I loved the food (salt crusted seabass was amazing!) and we got recommended some amazing wines to pair with our food too!
Y. C.
My favourite Italian restaurant in London. It has such a lovely vibe, always playing good music, especially on the DJ nights. I live locally in Mayfair so I frequent Bocconcino for lunch and dinner and it never disappoints.
I. A.
We had a really fun night on Saturday at Bocconcino, the DJ was great and the atmosphere was buzzy! People were even getting up and dancing towards the end of the night. We couldn't fault the food or the cocktails, seafood risotto being one of the best I've had in a long time.

This is a first class dining experience.
With a reasonably priced the meal was just outstanding and memorable.
We were seated quickly and accommodated even though we didn’t have a reservation. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout the whole, delicious meal. The Pizza was wonderfully crunchy too. I'll definitely come again if I'm in London.
A. a. a.
Great service provided by all staff members. Food was delicious and the ambience was great. Only thing is, I wished my steak was a larger size!
O. G.
We went in for the all you can eat pizza deal; £20 per person, unlimited pizza (but you have to order them one at a time and can't do takeaway).
Pizza was great, service was excellent. Staff are quick, friendly and very attentive.
Would highly recommend for a meal with friends and/or family.
G. S.
Food was delicious, and drinks were really well made. The atmosphere was great for a romantic night out.
E. S.
We got delivery to our house twice now and would eat here every night if we could. I have eaten pizzas around the world and this is one the best I have ever had, perfectly crispy but SO yummy and filling. The tomatoes are some of the freshest I have eaten in a long time and the pasta is to die for. We had streak and chips too which were cooked to perfection. It was packaged so well too and remained hot and delicious even where I live. Cannot wait to eat here again.
E. J. C.
What a beautiful restaurant from the get-go - walking through the tall doors swathed in floral garlands, to the sweeping descent of the spiral staircase. I think we were lucky to have got a table on a Saturday lunch without a reservation. I loved the booth we were seated in and the plush velvety chairs. Perfect pastas - mine with a generous helping of black truffle, and impeccable service. Definitely want to come back here... The loos were rather special too.
N. K.
Lovely place although from outside it looks closed haha.
Service was slightly slow hence the 4 stars.
If you love seafood, get the spaghetti lobster.
T. C.
Friday night at Bocconcino with the DJ was a great fun night out. The waiters and reception were friendly and compliments to the chef for very very tasty food.
C. B. P.
I have eaten several times at this restaurant and everytime it was a fantastic experience. The staff is incredibly friendly, the food is delicious and they have a great selection of wine!
They now offer deliveries which is the perfect restaurant treat during quarantine! My favourites would be: the valtelina pizza (beef), the handmade ravioli of prawns & seabass with black truffle and the New York cheesecake with passion fruit (just heaven)! I can’t wait for you guys to be open again! ❤️🍕
M. K.
Great food. Attentive service and a beautifully designed restaurant. Its expensive but to be expected in the heart of Mayfair.
Had a great meal and will certainly return.
T. Y.
Loved our Saturday lunch experience here. Came for family member's birthday. Nice and attentive staff. No one had any complaints RE: food - all very good. I had Granchio (soft shelled crab) starter, followed by Pizza tartufo (truffles and cheese pizza - expensive at £35, but delicate and delightful!), Canoli and pistachio icecream dessert. Loved all of them! RECOMMEND.
S.
I do love Bocconcino however it is a little overpriced for the food served. Nevertheless, the food and service is great and I will be back!
C. A.
Lovely place and worth trying especially if you want to celebrate something with a style. Service is perfect. Food is amazing. Wine list is rich enough to please all and the desert is as good as the rest of the menu.
F. M.
Very beautiful restaurant with an interesting Italian wine selection. I tried everything, from pizza, pasta, mains (both meat and fish) and desserts. Never disappointed and always top quality. I am giving 4 stars because the service sometime is not top-notch as it should be for a restaurant of that level. In any case I recommended it if you fancy Italian food.
P. S.
Whilst the pleasant ambience and friendly service were very welcome, the lack of vegetarian and vegan options left a lot to be desired. And I was surprised that there was a lack of flexibility in being able to cater for our requirements - especially when there are a growing number of eateries that are offering vegan menus
L. M.
I’d give 20 stars if I could, AMAZING food, like really good!!!
The staff was pleasant but failed to inform us the kitchen was closing, which is very sad because we really wanted to try the desserts but other than that it was amazing!!
M.
Fantastic food, amazing atmosphere ❤❤❤ loved it
T.
This was a weird experience... The waiter was spilling wine all over our table and even in our food, instead of acknowledging it he decided to ignore it. The waitress was the grumpiest person I've come into contact with for a long time. She gave us the wrong drinks then jetted off without even telling us what it was. We were left to resolve the issue with someone else after quite some time trying to get their attention. The decor is beautiful but the pink lights were not what I wanted whilst eating and the music was so loud I could hardly hear my guests. It felt like we were in nightclub rather than a restaurant. All of those issues aside, I did have quite a good time and the food was good, they were even accommodating when I asked to change an item of my dish.
D. P.
So we hadn't booked and the restaurant was packed. The only option a small table near the bar. Well so glad we took the opportunity,. One of the best meals I have been served for a long time with wine to compliment it. Thank you.
A. I.
in the heart of London's Mayfair - very nice venue, good service, a bit pricey (for example, the sides were very small and pricey), but their pasta and fish are delicious. They are usually very busy, so it is better to book in advance
T. O.
The food was alright but as other reviewers have already mentioned, it is a bit overpriced for whay they offer.
Also, the customer service wasn’t great. The staff weren’t rude, but neither friendly … one of them just came directly to our table and took the extra chair from it…
I know those things happen in some restaurants, but you have some expectations when you pay £40 for a main and £20 for a drink.
The staff should be friendly at least!
M. A.
Great service I must say, but most of what we ordered was average, pasta with truffles and meet course that is supposedly the resturant best seller
Atmosphere was fantastic 👌🏽
M. L.
The atmosphere and interior design of the restaurant is really nice and grand. There’s a ground floor and basement - it’s quite large. I went for restaurant week and everything was just ok. The waitress mostly forgot about our table, never bringing us water until after we asked a few times and this happened throughout the evening. I had the beet salad which was nice but nothing to write home about and the butternut squash ravioli which had very little character. My fav was probably the dessert. Probably won’t be coming back.
T. C.
Pleasant surroundings and generally good service. However, it fell short of our expectations. The steak I ordered was very good, but the chips it came with were undercooked and not at all crispy, which is not acceptable when you're posing as a top rate restaurant. My Italian friend was disappointed with his ravioli, which he said did not taste authentic. Some work to be done before considering going back.
M. N.
Very good Italian restaurant, very tasty and very good service. Highly recommend. Very good fine dining.
Atmosphere 8/10
Prices 5/10
Quality of food 9/10
Staff 9/10
P. K.
Very lovely and nice restaurant with really delicious food & wines. The dessert was awesome (I tried nutella pizza). My only reason to give only 4 stars is the size of the portion. Aside from that, I really enjoyed this restaurant!
m. p.
Great place to have a few drinks. An extensively great menu for cocktails and will also definitely try the food next time. Also the smoked old fashioned was the best I've ever tried. A good vibe as well with house music playing in the background from a live dj.
A. S.
As a italian person I can guarantee that the pizza is really the authentic thin one you find in Italy, and also the pasta looks like the one that my mom cooks. Big positive point is the wide variety on the menu, they really typical dishes from all the region. Great place for dates especially at dinner, dim light and soft dance music. The entrance gives a really breathtaking appearance if you want to impress your date.
M. L.
I went to Bocconcino with some friends, the place looks really beautiful and the staff were very friendly, i took the milanese by a recomendation of the manager and i need to say it was the best milanese i had in years. Really glad to choose this restaurant and i will defenitely go back!
Thank you Bocconcino team
I. M.
Superb restaurant with a beautiful airy space. The food is always outstanding (it's not cheap!) but brilliant for a business lunch in the location.
K. S.
We had the absolutely delicious and super fast delivery from Bocconcino a few days ago. Andria Burrata with pesto & tomatoes and deep fried calamari were beyond expectations, so fresh and so good. Also, I recommend to order the grilled salmon steak, Caesar salad, aubergine parmigiana, pizza with porcini mushrooms and homemade tiramisu for desert. Such a perfect combination for the Italian feast at home.
h. i.
at last a pizza that i enjoyed 3 weeks ago i went to the oak in westbourne grove it was terrible so i was recomended a restaurant in mayfair parking was not easy but it was an experience the pizza served by diego was the best and diego made our evening go well the best pizza in central london
A. A.
Authentic Italian cuisine. The pasta is fresh and delicious. The service is very attentive and the atmosphere is amazing
E. A.
Amazing service 👏 , and the food was absolutely delicious, fantastic restaurant. Totally loved it. Will be back for sure.
C. B.
Food was lovely can not fault it!! However the overall experience was not great i was rushed to finish my food by actually taking my plate while i was eating and to ask multiple times for the bottle of wine that i had paid for not left at my table. If that was to be corrected would happily return for the food that was served!
T. C.
Had an amazing dinner with good argentinian wine. The food was very well presented and was simply amazing in every possible way. Would definitely recommend.
It was the only restaurant that offered to accomodate 10 people during the busiest hour in the evening (7 pm), so that have the restaurant extra points.
Price wise, it is comparable to other options in the area though slightly more affordable.
The fact of being able to see how pizza is made gives the venue that extra "italian flavour". The proper "fatto in casa".
J. G.
Lovely Italian restaurant in great part of London. We arrived with 15 month year old baby and were nicely surprised how understanding and helpful the staff was to our needs, from bringing a little plate for our daughter not being afraid it will break to making sure she was entertained. Star down for the entrance staff, the ladies there look, feel and behave unwelcoming and cold. They didn't smile once and despite being two did neither help us enter nor exit while clearly seeing we had a stroller.
R. P.
Last minute, walked in around 9pm. Told that it was fully booked, only side was at the tiny lounge tables. Fair enough, though, must off the tables did not get filled while we were here.
Not sure if it was just where we were seated, but took ages to get anyone's attention to order, and when they did were in such a rush they didn't take the complete order - and we had to spend another 10 mins trying to get someone's attention to order drinks.
Anyway, after all that the food was really good and made up for the inconveniences. I will probably come again, though will make sure to book first.
R. K.
Best vegetarian pizza in town! Great service and big thank you to Stefano and team great service. Appreciated.
B. B.
Nice restaurant and friendly staff. We went there on a busy Friday evening and were clearly forgotten about as we had to ask for a menu after being there for 20 minutes and it took way too long to receive our food. But the staff were very apologetic and friendly about it all.
P. P.
I was looking for a good Italian Restaurant in Mayfair on Sunday and pop into Bocconcino, most of the reviews weren't good but I decided to give a try!
The very overpriced wine list is shocking, food is average, nothing special!
Pizza, Pasta, sparkling water and Bottle of wine we paid £130.00🤷♂️🤦🏻♂️ it's Mayfair but it was too much!
Service was kind of pushy, keep pouring us wine as our glasses were kind of full and when I stop them doing that they didn't return to the table anymore 🤷♂️!
Will be nice if you smile as well!
R. S.
A wonderful ambience and amazing food. I thoroughly enjoyed it all. The staff was lovely and a special thanks to Illy who made our experience that extra special. I can’t wait to go back! Amazing food and a great experience.
V. H.
We went up for my birthday, and it was just perfect location ! Food was amazing all round and was a very enjoyable experience, the service staff were very helpful and made us all feel comfortable. would definitely recommend, will be back soon!
J.
Probably the best steak that I’ve had in London. Excellent service. One star removed as the building work seemed incomplete in places.
S. P.
The ambiance was good tried the tasting menu and it was very good.
H. O.
Went for a bottomless brunch after lockdown and it was the perfect meal! Service was superb, attentive and kind. The food was delicious and the free following cocktails really well made. I particularly enjoyed the starters which I will definitely be coming back for! While the restaurant doesn’t blare out to you from the pavement you would be wrong to miss it! Inside it gives a brilliant atmosphere where I enjoyed food and drinks out with my household to kickstart better times. Will be coming back!
M. G.
Best meal I’ve had in over a year, no exaggeration.
Our servicer anthony was very attentive and friendly, wonderful service. Complemented the food even further.
Only place I’ll recommend for Italian in London going forward. 5/5
G. K.
If you need a last minute venue for a decent Italian food in a very presentable and spacious Mayfair / Greenpark restaurant you will not be disappointed. A very rich choice of wines (Mayfair prices) and a great selection of dishes catering to every taste. Friendly service by an almost all Italian crew. Suitable for large groups and never disappoints.
C. W.
Food was good but not amazing, a little outdated and very overpriced. Great staff though.
G. a. A.
For place like this you expect hight level of service. Invited friend family, wanted make them a Surprise, Wich came as disaster. Disappointed. Waited for coktails more the hour. Even in Oldham we have family restaurant who makes food testier. I'm very sorry for this review, but it is what it is. Will not pop there anymore. Management please sort your staff out. Genuine review. Can provide a receipt.
Kind regards
R. A.
Great quality food and good service. The fish was fresh and tasted good.
P. T.
Excellent Italian,, nice decor, good menu and service, and very, very pricy. Paid £200 for a quick lunch for three. We had three mains two of which were pasta dishes each with a small side salad and three glasses of their mid range by the glass white. I didn't appreciate the waiting staff asking I tip them extra on top of the 13.5% service charge they would have to split with the rest of the restaurant crew. Probably won't be back in a while.
A. M.
2nd time we visited and we once again fall in love with the place. This time we visited with a friend. Very good food, generous portions and exceptional service. Thank you! we will sure be back! We had beef tartare, seafood rissoto, linguini vongole and the spinach salad! Also, a pizza for sharing and our friend ordered tagliatelle ragu. Loved it! All of it!
E. E.
Wonderful Saturday lunch at Bocconcino, with a nice ambience, lighting and music. We tried different dishes, and they all delivered from fresh starters, satisfying pasta, thin pizza and delicious chocolate dessert; just as you would expect at a high-end Italian restaurant. Very friendly service. Great for both friends and family.
A. B.
The food was tasty, steak was nice! Staff were helpful

lovely date night with my husband at Bocconcino Restaurant to celebrate his birthday.
Friendly Staff
Great food
Taste-full wine list

We went to Bocconcino with a few friends recently for a ‘boozy’ lunch and we had a fantastic time. For a start the restaurant is in a very central location, right on Berkeley Square, making it very easy to reach and a great meeting point. A live dj set immediately created a cool and trendy atmosphere for the place which, together with a friendly and professional staff, made us feel at home straight away. We tried a few different cocktails from the menu and, as far as we could tell, they all tasted amazing. The food was very good contemporary Italian, and everyone could find something they loved, from the tuna tartare, to the many pasta dishes or the pizzas.
Overall we had a good time and we will definitely come back.
Recommend.
A. K.
Lovely Restaurant, food and staff. Definitely worth a visit

Delicious pizza, pasta and fish . Friendly staff . I recommend

Beautiful place, nice ambient. Perfect for a date or intimate moment with your partner.
S. V.
Place is very nice, but is a bit over priced for certain dishes
A. D.
Takeaway pizza during lockdown, I’ve been before when we were allowed out and it was great as well
d. d.
Upscale Italian join with above average Italian food - really it’s the ambience you’re paying for… and on that front the restaurant delivers… great for a date night..
A. D.
Beautiful atmosphere, great food, lovely cocktails and excellent customer service.
N.
Bottomless brunch was very nice, the DJ was a nice touch and made it easy to get lost in the good food and conversation. Would definitely recommend!
J. W.
Good solid Italian dining in Mayfair. Much bigger restaurant than it looks!
S. S.
Had dinner there last night and had several issues:
1. Far too loud. Apparently Thursday and Friday night are DJ night and as dinner venue it does't work. Having to shout across the table to hear your dining companion is not a great atmosphere
2. For the quality of the food it does not approach being reasonable value for money.
Ours was a tale of two meals. For the starter I had the quattro tartare and my wife had the calamari. Mine was very good, her's was poor. For the main I had the lasagne and my wife the lamb. The lamb was ok at best and a smallish serving for the price. The lasagne was again - good. My wife didn't have a desert but I had the tiramisu and it was one of the best I have had in some time.
So overall, too variable in quality to really recommend. Would be great for a pizza at lunch
G. F.
fresh ingredients....taste good... very big portion... value for money

Best Italian restaurant, amazing pasta with mushrooms and stracciatella and super Pizza😉

Fantastic Food and Service... A must visit....
Expresso Martini 👌🏻

An absolute gem of an Italian restaurant 😍
D. N.
One of my very favourite restaurants in London. It can be expensive depending on what you eat (and particularly drink) but worth it every time.
Great service, great food, great atmosphere. I usually go for the Milanese which is always perfect.
The staff are great; know their stuff, are engaged and super helpful.
Couldn't recommend it more.
L.
Excellent choice of italian seafood dishes and more. Deserts are absolute masterpiece (tiramisu-hand made on site) divine flavours.
A. C.
Went last night with my husband and our daughter. Comfortable environment, smiling and very friendly staff, but also very professional. The foods we ordered were very good and of excellent quality. Even the pizza was exceptional, much better than many places in Italy. Compliments! We were so happy that we also booked for tonight.
A. A.
Food average to fairly good ,service a little slow today
G. G.
We had a family dinner in the restaurant with some friends coming to visit us from overseas. The restaurant have been recommended to us a few times from friends working in the area and going often to it. It turned out to be a fantastic spot as it really reflects Italian cooking with a modern twist. Service was very good as well with very knowledgeable staff. To be mentioned is the wild boar ragù as it has been recommended as Chef’s favourite and it also became ours. We definitely will be back as the menu had many other dishes that deserved to be tried and everything looked so good on tables next to ours.
Thank you for such a good experience.
G. M.
Best italian restaurant in Central London. Service on top!
E. F.
Really amazing Italian food and the staff were lovely

Had lunch in this restaurant as we were shopping in the area. We have been welcomed by very nice receptionist which took us down to our table. Apparently restaurant has another room on ground level. Service was very quick and food very nice as well. Was quiet busy with a nice buzzing atmosphere. Will recommend to friends.

Great Pizza , amongst best in London. Amazingly friendly staff and felt very looked after. Do not leave without tasting its Tiramisu. As good, if not better than similar places in Milan or Rome. Fantastico!

Went for a bottomless brunch after lockdown and it was the perfect meal! Service was superb, attentive and kind. The food was delicious and the free following cocktails really well made. I particularly enjoyed the starters which I will …

Beware of nausea via food/alcohol poisoning.

Went here for brunch and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was great with a lively DJ, the food was great and the service was lovely too. Highly Recommended!
S. B.
First class meal in a real hidden gem of a place. The welcome is polite and friendly, the service is helpful and prompt. Excellent and extensive wine list with a good choice of wines to match to dishes. Menu is well balanced - linguine vongole is a must as well as the profiteroles to finish.
E. A.
Beautiful and comfortable setting. International menu suitable for a wide crowd which makes it really great for business meetings or friendly gatherings. A bit pricey for an Italian but yet again, it is located in Mayfair
J. N.
Excellent venue with delicious food. One of the most delicious minestrone soups ever. High quality ingredients (yummy balsamic), varied menu (including lots of choice for vegetarians) brilliant service with friendly, super-efficient and helpful staff. Finish off with a great cappuccino. What more can you want?
M. C.
We were recommended to dine here with good reason by our concierge. The welcome you get is so warm, and the staff are all very attentive. Our orders were taken swiftly, and the sommeliere was helpful without being pushy to navigate their extensive wine list.
The food stole the show and was some of the best Italian I've found in London; we shared a selection of starters followed by the most succulent lamb dish and octopus to match. Well fed and extremely satisfied
M. F.
The food!! Bocconcino’s food is exceptional and the location is ideal. We had a great experience dining here and will do so again for sure! It’s both a great atmosphere and fairly affordable for a nice dinner out in Mayfair. My only question would be, why did we have 5 or 6 waiters? I am so used to having one server that you ask questions to, but instead you start with one, move to another, then another etc. it is a little bit of a confusing model.
D. P.
This place is a hidden gem! A really unique venue on Berkeley Street we we're so impressed by. The welcome even without a reservation was first class, and the staff were ace at keeping on track of our order.
Really authentic, and rustic place with a great vibe to enjoy dinner at. The pizza was so good, made at an open kitchen style pizza oven and cooked thin and crispy. We had a casual meal which is rare to find in this part of London but very welcome!
I.
Very good pizza and nice service. Will be back.
E.
Underwhelming, nice space, but food overpriced for what is served.
R. K.
Rocked up late, 22:30, efficient and friendly welcome, allowed to choose table, great menu knowledge from waitress, order taken quickly, drinks delivered promptly, wine beautiful, starters were fantastic. So far so excellent.
Then: 30+ minute wait for main course. Baby roast chicken dry as dry can be. Veal Milanese not much moister. Asked for both (untouched) dishes to be taken off the bill. Waitress very apologetic, but amazingly the manager did not approach the table. Both main course side dishes remained on the bill.
A meal of two very distinct halves coupled with clear evidence that a self important, unresponsive manager can undo the best intentions of a keen team in a heartbeat.
Ultimately, and unfortunately: avoid.
D. T.
Definitely a new found gem! We had an excellent evening here and will be returning soon. The fish of the day was cooked perfectly and such a generous portion. We left very full and satisfied. Notable wine list with a varied choice and wonderful sommelier to assist!
H. F.
I took my wife and daughters to celebrate NYE. It was a quiet night but we really enjoyed it and the dinner was very delicious. The restaurant has a very warm atmosphere with gold and earthy colours, with a friendly Italian stuff.
J. V.
In Mayfair is easy to get disappointed when you try new restaurants. My first experience at Bocconcino was absolutely perfect. Our meal was delicious and the stuff is fast and lovely. Recommended
P. A. G. M.
Amazing experience! Top quality food and service
J. G.
I loved it. This Italian restaurant is really ITALIAN!! For once, the risotto in there are nice. Shame we can’t come again. Recommended if you want to eat Italian food.
K.
I’m the hardest person to please when it comes to restaurants and this one just blew me away! WOW! Incredible proper heart Italian food, huge portion sized and Uber tasty! Loved the minestrone soup, rosemary bread, salmon and vegetable pizza! Will definitely be returning and far nicer than most other Mayfair restaurants! THANK YOU!
P. L.
Food was fantastic... when it eventually arrived.
i. u.
The quality of food, ambiance and service is quite satisfactory.
L. L.
Absolutely amazing wine selection and the scallops in cauliflower reduction was brilliant. Really enjoyed my main with Boar Ragu. Waiter was also very knowledgeable and gave great pairing advice.
Great Italian date night.
C. H.
Went here for brunch and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was great with a lively DJ, the food was great and the service was lovely too. Highly Recommended!
S. F.
I have been to this restaurant with my boyfriend for the first time and we were very pleased with this place. I am Italian and I have been living here for 5 years and for the first time i had authentic Italian food. All the starters and mains were amazing and beyond my expectations!!! Maurizio the sommelier was very lovely and professional with lots of knowledge! He suggested us some Barolo and we were very pleased with it. Service was exceptional and the place was elegant and cosy! Definitely coming back here soon. Amazing experience all together!!
A. P.
Relaxed restaurant in Mayfair; friendly service and gracious staff. The set lunch is superb and excellent value for 3 filling courses. Fresh and creamy burrata, follow by salmon that was cooked superbly, and it had to be tiramisu to round off. Another very enjoyable visit.
V. P.
Very nice and romantic dinner in this restaurant with my boyfriend.
First class service and exceptional food with amazing interiors. Everything done down to details. Will highly recommend.
C. M.
Great recommendation from my work colleage. Easy to get to , and centrally located on Berkeley Street by Green Park. The restaurant is beautiful and we were nicely greeted on arrival. Really clear menu with a good but not confusing selection of Italian dishes. Delicious food that we ordered; starters of burrata and carpaccio, had to be a pasta main with ragu for me! Everything was cooked perfectly and we didn't wait long between courses and weren't rushed. Drinks came quickly and our waiter was on hand whenever we needed. Overall great evening with excellent food and service,
S. D.
I have visited the restaurant a few times pre and after corona. The food is really good and the table service but they need some improvement regarding the Front of house reception/service. The reception is abrupt and not friendly at all.
s. w.
I like the decor, the staff are attentive but slow, the food is mediocre for the area. I have actually been twice as I work right next door, had truffle pizza, very good, second time I had the lobster pasta, avoid!! So much olive oil that my pasta was literally floating around the plate and I felt nauseous after eating.
N. R.
3rd time here and want to recommend but the staff were more interested in chatting than clearing or serving, pizzas took an hour and whilst they’re good when they get here it’s not what you’re expecting when they ad 12% service every time.
It is good value for Mayfair but not worth a journey to unless on corporate expenses.
i. g.
Ambience is really nice. Food is tasty and service is so fine toatlly satisfied and recommended to have experience.
P. H.
Average service and a bit expensive (but it is Mayfair after all).
O. H.
Went for a quick meal. The service was great. The place was beautiful. I ordered a pizza with funghi and the pasta with truffle, both were delicious. Would go back. Wish there was outside seating.
A. U.
Expected the food to be a lot tastier! In our party of 4, nobody finished their plate which varied from seafood, chicken, man and a vegetarian dish. Was disappointing - but great wine and a good service!
A. T.
Favourite Italian in Mayfair, staff are always incredibly professional and the food is always amazing
D. Y.
Just amazing the place the food the staff great experience u can have with this restaurant really recommended 👌
N.
Positive: Good wine menu; decent selection of typical italian dishes; prompt service.
Negative: seats so low that you have to lift your elbows unfomfortably high to be able to eat; seats were super dirty with large stains on it (at entrance level floor, back room, far right corner); tables sticky, didnt make a clean impression; unlogical pricing, in general quite overpriced: some pasta with mushrooms £19, cheapest glass of red wine (175ml) £11, soup of the day (lentil) same price as tomato & mozzarella salad ("caprese") £12; we had 3 waiters that same evening: 1 was sleepy & not friendly, 1 was appearing all of a sudden and screaming at us whether she can clean off the plates, 1 was friendly and managed to give us a smile every now and again - staff could be better trained/managed, considering the restaurant's located in Mayfair.
Food: caprese salad was good, the pizza's dough was not crispy and not well baked through, wine was nice.
Overall: I would not go back again. There are better italian places for less money in central London
J. D.
Great food, highly recommend
F. P.
Beautiful and elegant restaurant. The food is exquisite and the service is just as amazing. Very attentive staff from the minute you walk in. Tremendous live music to complete the ambience.
N. C.
Good attentive service. Sunday evening booking so a few items off menu but to be expected. Food was very good.
S. G.
Service was well timed and friendly, a very enjoyable meal with a wide selection to choose from on the menu. Great offering with the set lunch menu - i will definitely be returning to try more and very reasonably priced.
A. M.
This is a true Italian gem in London, tried several pastas and pizzas here and enjoyed all of them, the staff is mostly Italian speaking so it makes it feel even more authentic and obviously the decor is stunning
J. W.
Very nice and special place. The staff were very friendly nice and polite. Also the food was amazing, decoration was very warm and relaxing. Well worth a visit
E. D. C.
A friend of mine wanted to try Bocconcino, but when I discovered that it is a Russian chain I was a bit skeptical. I have to say that food was not bad, but not good either. I had a Bufala Caprese, a Pizza Margherita and a Millefoglie with Chantilly and raspberry and none of them really impressed me.
Also, the restaurant is really expensive. On the other hand, the staff is very welcoming and the atmosphere and the place itself are really great.
S. W.
Had an excellent meal with very good service. We got chatting and time flew by but we were not harassed to either buy more refreshments or leave. Would definitely go again.
B. L.
I am a solo traveller, and really enjoyed my time at Bocconcino. I tried the homemade tagliatelle with white truffle and some Tiramisu. Both were perfect.
R. K.
Presentation of food is not like fine dining, but everything that comes to table has depth in taste. Well done and I would definitely come again. Bravo!
s. p.
A fabulous evening with my partner at this stylist Italian. Friendly service, knowledgeable staff and very well presented food. We are coming back to bring my daughter
L. M.
Very nice Italian Restaurant in central London. We tried the Ribollita soup, Risotto alla Pescatora, e tagliatelle al tortufo nero. Everything was delicious
E. M.
High end Italian restaurant in the heart of London. Great vibe, amazing food and wine. Location is perfect if you're looking to spend money in high end places
E. B.
Just go and eat the food if you are after good Italian cuisine. It’s is not a cheap pizza joint, so if that’s your hearts desire go somewhere else. The wine list is outstanding btw.
m. p.
The service and the atmosphere was great but the quality of the pizza was poor to compare to quality in Italy although the pizza maker showed a very good skill.
N.
Good pizza but be prepared to spend £££££
S. G. G.
Really nice place. Amazing cocktails and service.
S. T.
I had a really good time here! Food was grand the service was brilliant! They are very good at choosing the correct wine with what you eat
I'll be back 🙌🏽
H. H.
Excellent food and friendly service - we loved it. All a the pasta is fresh made, great seafood good presentation
V. S.
Expensive but this is ritzy Mayfair!! Staff friendly, quick service. Excellent Vitello tonnato, carpaccio. Pizzas thin and hard to finish for one person. Spaghetti vongole was excellent. Cool looking with its mirrors everywhere.
R. C.
The best authentic Italian I've had in the UK. Will definitely go again during my bi-monthly trips to London.
Good food, music & service.
J. L. (.
This is amazing Italian in the heart of Mayfair. The wine, the burrata and pesto, the home-made pasta and the pizza were so delicious. I will go back the next time I visit!
A. S.
The food was excellent!

Had my daughter's 6th birthday dinner. Fantastic service and food! Will definitely return soon.
S. M.
Luxurious and romantic place. The dinner was absolutely delicious and Bocconcino's authentic tiramisu is just PERFECT. Thank you
M. M.
Staff is very friendly and service was good. However the food wasn’t that great. For the price I expected much better food. It is also not a ££ restaurant.
A. V.
Great location. Good food in a nice ambience with very attentive staff. I am highly recommend it for a night out with friends or for a romantic dinner.
M. E.
A delightful restaurant, a bit pricey when it comes to wine, but worth it when it comes to food and entertainment. Check in can be a little chaotic as the cloakroom is next to the entrance and the route downstairscan get clogged quickly.
M. B.
Beware of nausea via food/alcohol poisoning.
A. S.
Always lovely good and excellent service
F. C.
I was at bocconcino last night and i had a wonderful dinner with my wife. Great selection of wine amazing italian food and great staff we will come back for more❤️❤️❤️

D.
Great structure, great location, great food and service and great value for money.... In one word "great"! I'm Italian and have been sceptic with all the" Italian restaurants " in London but not with this one!
M. F.
Very good food especially the pizza which are perfect but the service is quiet long.
Perfect for business lunch (if you got time).
K. L.
Pricey but worthwhile. The black truffle tagliatelle was possibly the best I’ve ever had!

Eaten here a few times Service is always excellent, and food is always good. Rare to find consistency in London like this, highly recommend

Great Italian restaurant in the heart of Mayfair.
K. K.
Another day, another Mayfair Italian restaurant, and yet more mediocrity. First the good points, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and well laid out, it provides a very classy, romantic setting in which to dine. The menu choices are pretty much synonymous with all Italian eateries and while the options are many, there are no signature dishes to speak of. The service was disjointed to say the least, I had to ask one of the waiters twice to please come and take my clients orders and when he eventually did show up, he was visibly annoyed and walked away from the table, half way through the order, to run a plate of food to another customer. I had the calamari to start which was actually rather good, served with a very nice tartare sauce. My steak was more medium than medium rare but tasted fine and the garlic infused tomato that it was served with was a nice, if unusual touch. All in all the experience was ok and if that is all you're looking for then there are far less lovely looking restaurants to experience it. However, with Novikov just across the road and besting them in every way, this place needs to up its game
E. V.
