Reviews of Brinkley's Kitchen

Great neighborhood gem will lush green surroundings and a beautiful outdoor space! Food was also delicious (had the crayfish mango salad and the tuna main) and the service was very attentive. Our waiter and waitress would subtly come out to check on us every 10 minutes to see if we needed or wanted anything else.
Only star down is that they didn't have any pregnancy-friendly starters (everything had something on the banned list for pregnant women) or a good selection of mocktails/ alcohol free options for our friend who is expecting.
Would visit again when in the area.

I can't recommend this place enough. The food is so delicious it's hard not ordering four starters each time I go. The service is impeccable and the staff are all very friendly and look after their regular crowd as much as a newcomer. The wine list is of particular note, despite not being a big wine drinker, it is worth noting they have a fantastic delicious selection of wines and their markup is very small compared to most restaurants. It sets them apart from your usual restaurant. This place is worth a trip, it's always good. I have my Brinkley's fill at least once a month, and I don't live in Wandsworth. This is definitely one of my favourite restaurants in London.

Brinkley's just get it right every time, and have done consistently for years and it shows with the regular clientele.
Wide range of tastes on the table and not a dish we didn't like, all cooked and served beautifully.
Keep up the great work!

Loved this place so much! Really fresh high quality food. Especially loved the truffle tortellini starter.

Brilliant service, great ambience. Gyozas, Korean chicken and the lamb were fantastic. Staff were very accommodating and smiley. Would definitely recommend

My son treated me for Dinner. Its not really my place to go Honestly. But I smiled and enjoyed the moment for him. It's too fancy for me. When I go for Dinner I want to be satisfied with the meal if I was a small eater fine. But it was hardly a meal for a grown man. It was very expensive for what we received.staff were friendly and polite. Nice surroundings.
Don't feel you have to pay for over priced food.

Perfect restaurant for a large group. Had drinks oitside first. Seated in a square. Food was very tastey. Crispy Calamari, lamb koffte, breaded Veal, juicy fat burger , linguinie vongole. Good wines and beers.Staff were excellent and service was fast.

The food was just sensationally. I had the chicken roast and it was divine and I tried my sister’s beef - amazing. From the crispy seasoned skin on chicken, the best roast potatoes I’ve ever eaten, the delicious cheesy cauliflower to even the Yorkshire pudding were just sensational.

Totally love it! Spacious, elegant yet cosy, attentive smiling service, original choices of dishes.Always a treat to eat there, probably the smartest "local" restaurant. I wish they had larger tables outdoors...to beat the Covid blues!

One of the best places me and my family have eaten , All food is delicious , especially the Crispy Calamari and Steaks.
Staff are extremely friendly and chatty which we love and the seating is comfortable for me , I have a bad back so I need to sit in a booth with padding and their booths do a great job.
Food - 10 out of 10

They consistently hit the mark with delicious cuisine and impeccable customer service; this is what you get every time at Brinkley's. A warm and inviting atmosphere for a romantic meal for two but also caters well to a big family Sunday lunch. A sincere passion for your custom and friendly, knowledgeable service is the winning formula.

Great food, reasonably priced, super staff who stay which gives this restaurant consistency.

My favourite Wandsworth restaurant. Chez Bruce is on the same road and gastronomically superior but this is like popping round to see your best friend for an exceptional kitchen supper. Amazing wine list with 10 percent mark up only so incredible value. Please open on Friday lunchtimes Mr.Brinkley

As part of the Brinkley’s group dotted at various places around London this is running off the back of a good reputation. The location of this version is on the renowned Bellevue Road on the edge of the expansive Wandsworth Common. A great area this is, but does the restaurant match?
For starters the outside is adorned a large raised seating area that would be great in the summer for a meal & drinks with views of the common. Alas, we arrived during the heights of the winter months so had to firmly aim for copious amounts of chilled cocktails not frost-bite.
The bar area is very smart, and we were greeted by a polite barman who duly prepared said cocktails whilst an equally polite member of staff took our coats. It was a good way to start with attentive service, and when the Mojito’s arrived some minutes later our evening was off to a solid beginning.
The seating area has a real contemporary style to it, smart and welcoming. To kick-off we ordered some marinated tuna carpaccio, deep-fried brie with cranberry sauce and steak tartare with shallots, capers, cornichons and toast.
The portions weren't massive but the quality of the brie was rewarding, rich but not ‘greasily deep-fried’ with a nice balanced cranberry sauce alongside. The steak tartare clearly had time spent on it with decent presentation and good quality meat. Alas the side was let down with the tuna capaccio; the tuna, although well sourced and rare was overpowered by the marinated sauce of soy and sesame oil; it should have been in a ramekin or other side dish to be added as needed by the customer. Shame.
For the mains, we delved into the Brinkley’s burger, king prawn linguini, pan-fried sea bream and the grilled scotch fillet steak. The burger was packed full of tasty meat, delivered rare with the bun base having no sogginess (a classic mistake with a lot of burgers sold elsewhere). The prawn linguini was delivered on a large plate, with a plentiful portion and a zestful, yummy tomato based sauce. The sea bream was cooked to perfection with the fish flaking off easily and the samphire & creame fresh sauce a welcome balance of flavours. The last main was the obligatory steak and this was cooked commendably. A lovely lean piece of fillet left rare as requested, and delivered with some very thick cut chips and a creamy béarnaise sauce.
The food was at a pleasantly admirable level, matching the service and decor, and beaten by the relatively cheap wine list. The first four wine’s on both the white and red lists are under £20, with the rest of the list remaining at a fairly moderate level compared with other restaurants of a similar quality.
I do rate this place as one of my favourite mid-level eateries. It’s just a pleasing place to go. You feel good when walking in and eating, the atmosphere is right up there, and it doesn't hurt the wallet to boot. We also had a 4 year old with us, and the staff were excellent with her throughout the evening.
I do recommend it.

Great food and ambience. I don't know why I'm giving this 4 stars other that I don't give anywhere 5 stars. Perhaps the waiter was a little heated as it was 28 degrees outside! 😀
