Reviews of Café Amisha

We passed by this humble little Italian eatery and made a note to come back one day. We dropped by for an early dinner last night and were greeted by the friendly staff. We didn’t have a reservation but tried out luck with a walk-in. Luckily for us, they had some space (recommend for you to book to avoid disappointment). We got a burrata with homemade pesto to start and the sweet waitress recommended the garlic bread to go along with it. It was an excellent suggestion cause it paired so well and we wiped the dish clean! For mains, we got a ham and mushroom pizza and a seafood linguine. Both were so delicious too and the portion was huge for the price! We didn’t have space for dessert but took a mental note to come back for them next time. The staff is also super cheeky and cute! This place has quickly gone to our list of places to revisit on our own and also with family and friends! Thanks for a great time :)

Fantastic great Italian restaurant. Very good food and very good wines. It is clear that the staff and chefs know their profession. We were six people and everyone was very impressed with the food and service. I would especially like to highlight Francisco who was our host. He was knowledgeable and very funny. The head chef also made an impression, with his knowledge of Italian food and not least of the fantastic Tiramisu cake he made. We tried and get the recipe but it was secret😉. Cafe Amisha is highly recommended. Wellington be back here.

Uanama bellll!! Top, Top, Top!! Cafe' Amisha is the best Italian Restaurant in South-East London. All ingredients come directly from Italy, and all the chefs are Italian. All the waiters and Paola are incredibly kind and attentive. The main Chef, Leo, aka "The Maestro", is impressive. He cooks traditional recipes from Apulia and nationwide Italian food. Fregola, Pizza (ask for tuna and cipolla!) and fish are top at Amisha's cafe. At Easter time, ask for a Pastiera, a traditional Southern Italy Easter cake made. Maestro's pastiera is as good as my mum's. They also have a shop for Italian food which has really good stuff and Italian delicatessens. The owner, Francesco, is amazing. He is the most friendly and the nicest person ever. He is a natural people person, always smiling and happy. He also saved my life during the first lockdown and the food shortage. I bougth everything I needed there. He and his staff also delivered food to my place at any hour, including regular fresh fish deliveries.. He is also actively volunteering to help the NHS and the local community. A living hero, in a few words. He truly deserves a half-body statue at the nearby SPA garden.

One of my favourite Italian restaurant!
Very good prices and the food is absolutely great!
Good wine selection.
A big shoutout to the whole team which is very helpful and friendly!

We haven't been for a while as moved out of the area a while ago but I must say it's still as good as I remember or perhaps even better.
We've been passing by and came for a small bite and a pint.
Reasonable prices, very helpful and honest staff, clean beer and delicious food.
Aglio Mozarella tasted amazing with fresh pint of Moretti.
The bill doesn't include service charge so don't forget to tip, these guys really deserve it. Keep it up Amisha!

Lovely neighbourhood Italian restaurant. Quality food at reasonable prices. Nice spot near Bermondsey Spa Gardens. They have a few seats outside under a cover. A deli is attached should you wish to take food home. We tried 2 pizzas and salad. Took my mum and she enjoyed it. I'd go back again to try the pasta.

One of the best Italian restaurant in London, Pizza is simply delicious. Fresh and nice fish!
Nice place we and super friendly staff.
Every day you can find some Special plates. LOVE IT!!
S. L.
Such a fun restaurant, the staff were just brilliant and really made the meal an enjoyable experience, the food was lovely too.

I felt like in Italy 🇮🇹😍. Very cool place in the heart of Bermondsey, Francesco and his lovely staff are there just to give some love in a really tasty menu, good portion size, wine with honest price and you can eat "al fresco". I will return.
Highly recommended

Superb food, wine and atmosphere. Quality fare.
We were warmly welcomed, well taken care of, and left feeling full and happy. My gf highly rates the bathrooms - no small deal.
A lovely evening, we'll be back soon.

Support many local restaurants during pandemic in 2020-2021. Cafe Amisha, the best Italian restaurant in SE London. I have been there several times, love their foods.
Updated in June 2021:
ordered seafood linguine the taste is good, squid ink tagliatelle noodle is soggy and calamari so small portions!!
¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤
Updated in October 2020:
Recently I ordered Tuna pizza a bit soggy and seafood spaghetti a bit salty but taste is good. I think they should improve takeaway packaging in order to maintain the taste and keep takeaway food warm (if they are really care for every supporters' customers), which I believe many takeaway restaurants are doing great delivery packaging now, it is important criteria and also ensuring Food Safety during Delivery.

Best italian restaurant in London! Seriously! I am not just saying that! The whole team is like a big Family! Francesco, the owner, really knows how to treat his guests, Leo, the chef, has such an impressive talent that once you eat his food you will never want to eat anywhere else! Super family friendly even dog friendly if you ask kindly in advance and if your dog is small and well behaved! Food is always and I really mean it Always splendid! There is a real party atmosphere in the evenings and a very chilled family restaurant vibe on lunch times! If you are looking for a place for big parties that's 10000000 per cent the place to go. Oh did I mention they have a deli?! yes you can also buy authentic Real Italian products from them from juices to olives and pasta and so much more. If you go and you don't like it I truly believe you will be the first ever not to like it. Feels like a second home! Love every single one of their staff that are always so caring and friendly! love their food! prices! products and atmosphere! Highly recommended

Absolutely love Cafe Amisha! Friendly and funny staff with good senses of humour. Really tasty food, authentic Italian produce, fairly priced and not too expensive. Good wine and cocktail selection too. Love it here!
J. M.
Great service by attentive and knowledgeable staff and delicious food, me and my other half had a great evening. Currently need to pre-book (which we did not do) to be seated indoors however the seating outside wasn't too bad. The road by which Cafe Amisha is located isn't busy at all so car noise/smell isn't an issue.
L. M.
Excellent food and service. The toasted pistachio burrata was amazing. The best Italian food we have had in London so far. We will be back often!
A. v. D.
Absolutely amazing food, great ambience, lovely staff. Delicious special burrata - hazelnut and pistachio topped and THE best pizza in London. The restaurant was buzzing and full on a Tuesday night. This place is worth crossing London for. An absolute must visit! Will be back.
S. W.
Very reasonably priced and absolutely delicious every time. Have been a couple of times and the manager and waiter recognised us as we walked in. Everything is fresh, there is nothing to fault. The cheesey garlic bread isn't bad either.
S.
I’ve always walked past this place but never gone in and I’m glad I did. Staff were attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them - also, reasonably priced. The only downside was I wasn’t too sure on the decor but you can’t please everyone.
Q. B.
Absolutely phenomenal restaurant. When walking by one would be forgiven for not stopping, the area is not particularly lovely and it is alongside a rather busy road. Venture in however and you will be met with a great smile, authentic and delicious food and a lot of Italian chatter. The prices are so fair that it almost feels too good to be true, but make sure you get the pasta, be it accompanied by seafood, pancetta or porcini, and try the home made panna cotta for a light and flavourful ending to your meal.
H. A.
Lovely evening, staff very attentive. Invited our friends, it is family friendly. Our favourite local Italian restuarant. Loved the red wine ! 🇿🇦🇵🇹
E. M.
We ate here with a very good friend, and the food, service and atmosphere was nothing less than exceptional, which on reflection was a bit annoying because I forgot to take photos.
Next time, right?
Thanks again to Matt and Francisco for making us feel at home. Fantastico.
m.
We are an Italian family in love with this restaurant. Good delicious, all staff is really friendly and venue is baby friendly (we go there with a 9months old).
They also have a deli with great Italian products.
Thanks Mattia for treating us always with care.
l. s.
Visited for lunch pre Christmas. My whole meal was delicious and exceeded my expectations. I had serious food envy over other's meals too. Service was great. Very friendly and we were well looked after with drink recommendations including some authentic Italian beers and spirits. Cannot wait to return. I also purchased Cafe Amisha's own panettone(vergabj) from the deli both for myself and as gifts. They were beautifully wrapped and delicious li
D. D.
Wonderful as always. The staff are spot on, the food is great, our request of no garlic in my partners food was fulfilled with no problem.
N. M.
An amazing restaurant, went in Dec to meet up with friends, food is delicious!! Cocktails went down a treat too, staff very friendly and not pushy, wasn't rushed too, excellent value, going again this weekend worth the trip from Essex 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
G. C.
The BEST Italian restarant in London. If I had to eat in the same restaurant for the rest of my life, this would be the one. Their pizza is PERFECT. As well as their pasta, fish, meat, dessert..basically you can't go wrong. Staff is very friendly and service is quick. Call to book in advance, especially if weekend. Perfect for birthdays, family gatherings and romantic dinners.
B. Y.
Taken as a guest to this lovely restaurant in Bermondsey. The staff were great and the location easy to reach but most of all the food was amazing. Will certainly be going again.
T. F.
Great Italian restaurant with friendly staff. They just need to add a vegan pasta and a pizza option to the menu.
R. H.
4/5 although I had seen a reviews previously commenting on the decor of the place I have to disagree. I found the place completely charming and the space feeled very warming to me. Also people and wait staff were chatting merrily. Overall it was truly welcoming and staff were attentive. I orders the seafood linguine and calamari starter. I would say the food was good but not fantastic.
The calamari was soft (how I like it) though too salty and I felt it was strange to serve mayo to accompany it. The linguine was good and textures were nice although I feel it lacked a little flavour. Unfortunately I found myself comparing to Grape & Flour where admittedly the food is better but it doesnt have the Italian vibe and atmosphere that you get here.
C.
Authentic Italian food, and super friendly staff. Very fairly priced too, and they don't even assume a service charge (but they definitely deserve a tip!)
I. L.
Neighbourhood Italian. Absolutely nothing wrong with this place. Service always brilliant, food consistent and reasonably priced. Can tell that the clientele is more often than not repeat customers who are local - sign of a top local restaurant. ❤️
M. I.
I was on a lookout for a quick lunch in South London. I’ve seen their dishes in Instagram before, so thought give it a try. Ordered this prawn black pasta, it was messy to eat it but it was worth it. Staff was absolute pros, swift service. Definitely coming back here.
E. T.
Nice and comfortable, authentic Italian. It's located at the based of a modern apartment block, and its open-concrete modern decor fits its spirit and ambiance perfectly: it's simple and user-friendly. Genuine Italian team all around, the pizza guy at the back busy throwing sheets of dough high in the air. One of my photos shows that they want a best pizza award from some serious-looking body. But the menu is broad: very attractive pastas, and all other elements. Will certainly come again.
L. F.
Great food and atmosphere, the staff are super friendly too! Would recommend to anyone looking for an authentic Italian experience.
C. K.
Cool place, pizza as always excellent, pasta was really nice too but the portion was way too small for me. Still recommended. Great family place
N. S.
Amazing dishes! The menu is very complete and the prices are fair. Very authentic. Staff is friendly, outgoing and fun. Pet friendly.
K. S.
Tasty menu with good prices
Thin based proper Italian pizza, plus vegan available per request.
Perfect lasagna.
Friendly and polite also very helpful staff going above and beyond to pleased customers.
This is kids friendly place with menu option for little pizza lovers.
P. M.
Lovely local Italian restaurant and deli. Good food at reasonable prices, great, friendly service with a smile
A. L.
Due to lockdown my only experience is takeaway from Cafe Amisha but I discovered this local Italian due to Lockdown and cravings for pizza. We order 2x Arancini and 1x Pizza every Friday and we go pick it up. We just love it and for Veganuary - I contacted the owner to prepare us 2x Vegan Arancini and they did! They had it set aside for me! We also ordered margherita without cheese and it was no issues (we bought cime di rapa there to add it as topping when we got home). We love this place and their pizza and Arancini and we hope to one day try their other food in the restaurant. We also buy wine and other beverages as they have a shop / deli there.
P. P.
Great variety and very good service in this authentic Italian restaurant! Pizzas, pastas and quite a few other dishes for a family Sunday lunch. The tiramisu will be remembered...
B. I.
Cafe Amisha has amazing food and great staff!
I go there very often , and never get disappointed…. My favourite plate is sea food linguine , it’s delicious and I can’t never have enough….
Cafe Amisha is my favourite Italian restaurant and I would suggest to anyone to go and try it!
S. P.
Just had a lovely lunch with my Wife and sons, lovely food and friendly service. Our new favourite local restaurant 😊
M. H.
We've been coming here for the past few years, staff are consistently friendly and welcoming. Dog friendly too, also very good with children. Food is amazing never been disappointed. Great cocktail menu too. One of our favourite restaurants in London!
V.
Beautiful restaurant, beautiful decor. Staff very attentive. This restaurant spread the style of the typical Italian kitchen.
Thanks to Francesco and Leonardo to make my anniversary special. We will definitely come back.
P. L.
I wandered in around 5.30 on a Sunday afternoon, and although it was not exactly filled with revelers the feeling is quite welcoming and jovial. Staff are actual Italians! I ordered a 50/50 Prosciutto e funghi/Amisha Piccante takeaway pizza which they made super fast. I was across the street looking at the park and the lovely waitress carried it aaallll the way out to me with a huge smile.... amazing! Totally caught off guard.
The pizza was hands down the best I've had in London. Toppings were fresh, crust a perfect mix of stretchy fluffiness and crispy edges/base. Not overloaded and soggy, but also not as sparsely populated as the Simpson desert. This is hot pizza, made by warm people, with flavours that leave the franchise parlours out in the cold. Highly recommended in case that wasn't already clear 😏.
A. D.
You know when you slip through a worm-hole and find yourself in a completely different country. Well Café Amisha is one of those places.
You get a family-like welcome, starters and mains straight out of a nonna's cookbook and sooo many reasons to come back, to try something else.
The spaghetti bolognese got a 10 out of 10 from the wife and this is her "how good is this place?" dish.
My daughter's lamb ragú tagliatelle special was as good as anything she's had before, including anything she's had in Italy.
My special pizza (white base, Italian sausage, N'duja, golden tomatoes and spinach) was amazing. This is how pizza should be.
Grazie mille, Café Amisha!!
J. M.
The best little Italian restaurant hidden away from Bermondsey street! I used to live around the corner, the burrata with pesto and aubergine parmigiana was the best! 😍
G. L.
Highly recommended! Great food and service too. I'd definitely visit cafe amisha again
M. A.
A lovely friendly restaurant, great for both intimate dining and family celebrations.
The food is amazing. Service is very friendly.
Highly recommended

Always the best!!! The best Italian restaurant that i even been, the food is superb, all the staff it’s amazing. Thanks to all of you. I migliori come sempre!!
T. D.
The best pizza I have had in London so far, and I’ve tried quite a few. I don’t usually eat the crust (don’t hate me), but the crust on their pizzas are amazing. I’ve finished all of them! 🙋🏿♀️
S. H.
They have gluten free pizza and pasta available. The waiter checked with me if the pasta needed to be cooked in a separate pan from the gluten pasta. I thought it was nice of him to ask.
The food didn't take any longer to arrive though despite being cooked specially. I had pasta sorrentina which was delicious with gf penne.
The wine was a special offer and was rich and tasty, and the gelato for dessert was great, although they did put a biscuit in it. I'd have asked without if I knew they were going to do that. Overall a great experience and amazing friendly staff.
P. S.
Nice selection of Italian dishes on the menu. I went there at lunch time and it was relatively quiet but the food was still prepared in good time and to a great standard.
There are also daily specials on the board behind the counter bit these don't have a price written next to them so be sure to ask before ordering! I felt the price for a can of soft drink (£2) was a bit high, but the rest of the menu is reasonably priced. A full meal will cost around £20/head or around £12 for a main and a drink.
The staff are friendly but the waitress we had struggled to describe the food in English, if you have a Spanish speaker in your party (the waitress spoke Spanish) then they can help translate.
When it was time to pay there was an issue with their card machine not connecting so we ended up using a nearby cash point, the staff seemed relatively relaxed with us leaving the premises to do this (perhaps because of the time of day) and I can't fault them for what I assume is a one time technical hiccough.
Overall pleased and would recommend if you're looking for a place to try in the area.
I. K.
Absolutely loved the food! I highly recommend the linguine allo scoglio, so delicious!!
M. S.
The staff are very warm, welcoming and generous and the food is absolutely delicious (with great vegetarian options). Already been 3 times in the past month, I'll definitely be back there a lot more!
S. S.
Amazing experience with excellent food and lovely service. Was a journey in the real Italian foods. Thanks. I'll be back....;-)
K. M.
Great service and authentic Italian food with a homely feel. This place is quickly becoming our local!
N. L.
This is an exceptional place for families (and everyone)! The food is great and the staff are extraordinary. Expect smiles, the best service, and bigger than life personality. We had two awesome experiences here while visiting the UK. I. The 18 days we traveled and ate out every meal, this was the single best restaurant by far and the only place we decided to visit a second time. So great. Try it.
A. M.
Excellent authentic local Italian restaurant. You can see and hear that many Italians also dine here which is reassuring confirmation of the quality of their cooking.
C. M.
I felt like in Italy .
Friendly staff
Great service and excellent food&drinks
C. H.
This is great Italian food. Handmade pasta, authentic Italian charm, and great staff. We can here relatively late in the evening but didn't get any hassle from the staff. The pizza was good, but the pasta is where it's at. Perfectly cooked to al dente perfection. We had the carbonara which was divine. I would go here again without hesitation.
a. m. r.
A hidden gem in the bermondsey area !! Their pizza is one of the best in London, and you can have the gluten free as well!! Always full with lovely people enjoying lovely food and very friendly and professional staff! I personally love it!
R. S.
Incredible food and very good service. Best mussels I've had in a long time!
A. G.
One of the best Italian food places in London! The staff is exceptionally welcoming, and I always feel like I am being looked after.
S. L.
Lovely spot with good food and fantastic dessert (see tiramisu pictured!). Went on a Sunday night and it wasn't very busy - so it was nice and quiet and was able to have a lovely last meal before I left London. The sparkling wine was very good, and the menu had plenty of items that I would like to try next time!
M. K.
Love this place - the food is always great and service is fast and friendly. Would highly recommend!
Great fan of all the pizzas and pasta but the dessert is also worth mentioning.
T. G.
Love this place with the contemporary art splashes. Food is fantastic with a true rustic Italian essence. Will be going back.

An amazing pure italian café in Central London. Very good table service, tasty food, not expensive. Highly recommend to everyone!
L. B.
I've been here with family and friends many times. I absolutely adore this place. Love the food and the friendly atmosphere as well. You should defo try their aubergine parmigiana!
L. G.
I hate to give only three stars, but I was served a pizza margherita with no basil and no explanation. A cheese pizza.
Cafe Amisha is a comfortable neighborhood restaurant with lots of indoor and outdoor seating, including several large, family-style tables.
Somehow they made an industrial decor cozy, and you will likely enjoy a pint or two of Moretti with your good friends.
The staff were friendly and prompt. Based on this, the atmosphere, and the numerous positive reviews, I would return for a second experience.
M. A.
Very cozy place, friendly staff and good quality food.

We asked for a last minute table and despite being fully booked, we had an email confirming that they would fit us in. Very friendly and enthusiastic greeting at the door. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Service was the best I've received in London - attentive, prompt and friendly. A 10/10 experience - we will be coming back often!
N. F.
Nice local Italian restaurant. Good quality & delicious food.
s. h.
Amazing food , staff are so friendly. Very affordable
T. A.
Great italian deli section with huge range of products imported from Italy.
Have had various meals, both dining in and delivered.
It's a small family restaurant with a half open kitchen.
I love grabbing a pizza and a few beers and have a picnic in the park opposite.
If they have any arancini left, buy them!
È buona!
Decent value, good food and decent service too.
Remember its a small indie so bear with them if they're struggling, the food is worth the wait.
Z. H.
Good service and we was let in without a booking. Very friendly and the price is reasonable. Food was decent but not great if I'm being honest.
i. D.
Cafe Amisha not only serves delicious food, but is also run by fantastic staff! Over the years I have ordered from the restaurant and bought food products from the shop and the team have always been super personable and helpful whenever I have had questions. My most recent visit was today and I was given a patient explanation of what Aperol was, as unbelievably I have never previously tried it 😂
It is so nice to be greeted with a genuine 'how are you doing' and a friendly smile, especially in a pandemic where so many of us are a bit frosty or wary of one another.
The food is gorgeous and the range of Italian products they sell is extensive and authentic.
A. D.
The food was really delicious and service was top notch...definitely going again.
D. S.
Very busy with an amazing buzz. Super friendly waiting staff and exceptionally delicious food for a reasonable price. I highly recommend this restaurant.
B. D. P.
Hands down the best real Italian pizza in London
L. M.
Really friendly atmosphere and staff. Food came quickly with really good size portions and very flavoursome! Would love to come back If in the area.
P. G.
Great team. Great service. Great food. Well priced. Great location. What more could you want ?
Regularly been going here for a decade and they have unwaivered in their standards. Well done and great job to the whole team!
G. K.
Everything about this place is great. Service was brilliant and really friendly. Food was gorgeous (try the Caprino salad) and prices are extremely low for London. Highly highly reccommend this spot.
K. F.
Delicious Italian food. Love the atmosphere in the restaurant and the food is wonderful.
J. M.
Always a wonderful experience! Great food, excellent service.
D. B. P.
A good value pizza place, authentic and well cooked.
Basic seating and ambiance, but it is still service with a smile.
H. D.
Wow, what an authentic Italian. Eat in here and get takeaway regularly. Friendly owner and staff that make it a fun experience. You’ll never have a bad meal here and you’ll want to go back. Lovely outdoor seating area and open design inside. It has a deli at the side too.
S. W.
Nice little neighbourhood Italian
A.
Amazing food, very friendly staff and great ambience - love this place!
J. K.
One of the best most family friendly restaurants in the area. Real community hub and absolutely excellent Italian food. Whenever visitors from afar come to stay they always ask to come
Here. Brilliant for cealiac / gluten free options too 👌👌👌
T. F.
Delicious food, super friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere!
R. E.
The quality of the food is very good, however the portion sizes are very small and not very filling, and therefore do not reflect the prices. For example a linguine costs £11.50, but I found it not very filling at all and left the restaurant hungry, you should never leave the restaurant hungry after a main course. Fortunately I went during the Eat Out scheme so I wasn't to out of pocket So be prepared to spend a lot of money to be full. The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite nice, it can get busy during the summer, they also have outdoor dining and the staff were really engaging and pleasant.
N. H.
Cafe Amisha is the kind of place you take your parents when they are in town, or your children when you cannot stand cooking. You meet friends there. It's a place to get a quick, authentic Italian pizza or really anything else they serve as takeaway. And in these days, it is nice place to do some shopping for Italian groceries to keep the Covid kitchen lively. There is little to criticize at its price point. The food is great. The service is friendly and attentive. I am partial to the ravioli ai funghi: mushroom stuffed ravioli in a cream sauce with walnuts, mushrooms, and speck; or the quatro stagioni ("Four Seasons") pizza. And do not miss the chocolate fondant cake with pistachio ice cream.
A. L. I.
I decided to celebrate my Boyfriend's Birthday in this restaurant. We had the starter followed by a delicious lasagna and pasta with prowns and asparagus! Belly full! Aperol spritz and limoncello perfect!
Francesco (the boss), is a professional and warm person who makes the guest smiling and very comfortable. The chef made a wonderful Birthday cake for us and it was soo tasty! Thank you so much for the lovely experience, we'll be back soon. 100% Italian style. Love it.
S. H.
Nice large space but has a good atmosphere
You can tell they care for their customers and service
Decent prices and tuna pizza was delicious
Docked one point as the burrata for starter was just a ball of mozarella; and we paid c£5 for that.
They had nice variety of specials
Has great trade so is a popular place
i. S.
Really nice original Italian restaurant, with kind service and welcoming as well. We took a burrata salad as starter, and then pasta al pesto and tagliolini with king prawns and asparagus. Both really delicious! The service also was really polite and patience, even looking at the number of clients that had in that moment, which is not obvious at all! A+ place!
B. Y.
Best customer service and a perfect Italian food well done 👍👍👍👍
J. L.
Was ok but waited over an hour for our mains after starters, and portions were a little small.
C. G.
Good food. Great service and a lovely atmosphere.
C. M.
Great service and food. Terrific local restaurant. Strong gluten free options. They source directly from Smithfield and Billingsgate markets !!! 💪👍👍

Food is great, friendly staff and owners, very cosy atmosphere, family friendly. They do take away as well, always high quality food and service. Great coffee and the deserts to die for! Highly recommended.
H. G.
Amazing Good! Great Ambience. I went there because of Indian name but chef and everyone is Italian. However, Chef Leonardo was extremely helpful and got me a great pasta. Trust me, it was delicious. Really really good. Keep it up.
Will definitely go back.
M. R.
Nice Italian food at very affordable prices. The staff are very friendly.
This restaurant hasn't changed in 10 years. Lovely atmosphere and they have a couple of more daily specials than they used to!
With their little shop and takeaway they were true lifesavers during the pandemic.
K. T.
Their pizza is yummy. As well as their pasta, fish, meat, dessert you can't go wrong. Staff is very friendly, smiley and service is quick.
Perfect for birthdays, family gatherings and romantic dinners, The top 5 Italian restarant in London.
C. W.
Great pizza, though the cocktails are not worth it. First they don't know how to make.yhem properly, and secondly they charge you Soho prices on cocktails, should reconsider that. 5🌟 for the pizza though.
Y. Y.
Best local restaurant with quality Italian food, friendly welcoming staff and amazing atmosphere to feel like at home. Everything on the menu is delicious and doesn’t cost a lot. It has been our first choice for dinner in the area especially with friends
V. L.
Just discovered this local Italian restaurant and not disappointed. The food was delicious, authentic and affordable, the service was efficient, the hosts were welcoming and they apply covid safety measures really well. Highly recommended. I will defintely go again.
D. M.
I like Cafe Amisha. The pizzas are good. Some of the pastas too. It is a magnet for South London Italians who create a lively atmosphere. Like many Italian eateries it is very family-friendly. I have witnessed large family gatherings and casual birthday parties. Crying babies are accepted as part and parcel of life. The walls are concrete and the decor is cliche Italian but none the worse for it. On warm summer days, the outdoor tables are in demand for lunch and dinner. Alas, the service is way too casual ... Probably because so many of the customers are regulars. And sadly, the food isn't quite good enough especially in light of the prices.
M. B.
Great place, friendly, fantastic food and pizza.
C. B.
Excellent Italian food, freshly cooked, very skilled chefs, great menu with daily specials, original Italian wines and a smile on every staff face.
A pleasure to experience authentic Italian cuisine, authentic Italian atmosphere and authentic Italian conversations with authentic Italian owner.
I recommend it 100%.
A. G.
I had one of the best customer service experience in this café! Food was lovely too but staff was on another level of professionalism! Highly recommended!
F. S.
Excellent food, warm and attentive service and nice selections on menu. We've been in London for 6 days eating out and this is the Best meal we've had. Like visiting a friendly family home -efficient and tasty. Great if you have kids and want a grown up menu.too.
D. C.
Me and my partner went there for our anniversary meal and had one of our best meals in a long time.
Being italian myself, i was ever so slightly skeptical about the authenticity if the food but it exceeded our expectations.
The food was of incredible quality, good portion sizes and very fresh.
We will definitely be making this restaurant our regular spot!
Bravissimo!
T. B.
A wonderful authentic Italian. My girlfriend got the booking date wrong but Francesco still managed to fit us in. Top food, top service, top atmosphere - love it!
R. V. M.
When in London we ALWAYS try to fit in a visit to this restaurant. (Where ever you are staying it is well worth a trip to the Café Amisha)
Freshly prepared Italian food (cooked in full view).
I never ate Pizza until we discovered Amisha -wonderful Pizza.
Friendly & efficient staff- the owners are normally there rushing around ensuring everything is perfect.
Great for families (children seem to be welcomed)
Of course- always finish the evening off with a couple of Limoncello 😁
**Parking is not normally a problem**
K. M.
I really like this place! They make a great Aperol Spritz - the best I’ve had outside of Italy, and I enjoy sitting at the tables outside on warm summer evenings. I really like their tomato orecchiette with torn pieces of fresh mozzarella and basil, and the pizzas are great as well - really fresh-tasting. The service is great too.
R. A.
Food was very average. We ordered pizza and ravioli and both didn't really impress. Cheap prices though and they gave heaters for outside tables.
T. C.
Great food, great quantity, great price, great service, great atmosphere!
n. s.
I have been going to this restaurant on and off for years whilst in London. My recent visit was a little disappointing, although the pizza and salad was good, the service was an little more unattentive and casual than usual. I think it depends which day you go. I also feel very uncomfortable sharing the toilet area vicinity with males.
k.
The best Italian cuisine in London.
R. B.
One of my favourite local restaurants. Great menu. Service is really good. Food tastes amazing. The calamari are recommended for a starer. For main, the pizza selection has lots of highlights. There's a great selection of deserts .
L. W.
I love this place. It feels like you're on holiday and have stumbled across the best local pizzeria where everyone is having the best night of the week. The staff are lovely, the food is really decent and the atmosphere is unbeatable.
J. F.
Amisha is the best kind of neighbourhood restaurant: nice food, good price for the quality you get and super friendly staff that recognise you and speak to you like a family member after a few visits. That's why we keep coming back and have instituted an "Amisha Fridays" tradition!
L. V.
Lovely fresh pizza, really nice people arriving you. The owner is extremely friendly. Really like the decor and ambience in here. Pastas are very good too. Seafood pasta is very very good and there isn't anything like this in the area.
J. G.
Fantastic food and a great place to chat.
M. D.
I had the occasiono eat Italian cuisine in many places around the world, but " Cafe Amisha " is the best Italian cuisine I have the opportunity to try. You can feel the taste of the heart put in by the chefs !!!! and the authenticity of the restaurant...pleasant service... unique design of the interior... In my opinion Nr.1 .
P.s. you need to try Buratta and Tiramisu 😉
WELL DONE CAFE AMISHA TEAM !!!👌
C. G.
Very loud!!! But the food is pretty good along with the wine. Could really do with getting some acoustic panels to dampen the sound as when it is busy it is hard to have a conversation. Service is good though and I will return although when it is quieter!
S. N.
I live nearby and I have never been disappointed in more than 10 visits. Pizzas to take away are amazing, pasta and all the other dishes are good. Products used are high quality and prices are more than reasonable.
Highly recommended !
A. S.
typical dishes of Italian cuisine, but the real one, no imitation. delicious pizza, dishes equally. nice staff and fast cooking. a quiet place for lunch and dinner recommended for everyone.
D. S.
Great authentic Italian restaurant with relaxed but attentive service. We often come here with our children as it's very family friendly. Excellent pizza and pasta.
I. D.
Excellent place, delicious food, great service. true Italian pizza and delicious coffies. We love this place and keep coming back again and again.
H. A.
Francesco and his guys are so friendly, accommodating and flexible. The food is good and fresh. The ambiance is great if you want a relaxing meal without feeling harassed or that it's too crowded. It's family friendly too. Recommend everyone to give it a try.
S. S.
Nice place, liked the staff and outdoor seating
J. M.
Good quiet place, clean, good service and exquisite food.
E.
We had to wait a bit for a table (we hadn't booked) and they very kindly brought us two beers gratis. A large group of 20 arrived after we sat down, but that didn't effect our service at all and our lovely meals arrived hot and promptly so clearly the kitchen is well run. Only downside is piped in music that just isn't needed as people are talking and socialising. The music could easily go. Will certainly return.
F. S.
Every time I'm back in London I come to visit them.
Food is DELICIOUS and the service is always AMAZING.
Leonardo and Francesco make this place a special familiar treasure.
Highly recommended, for any occasion.
E. M.
Friendly and lively restaurant with a lovely selection of Italian food (pasta, pizza and meat) and drink there is also a lovely selection of desert.
C. A.
Good price, decent food
V. E.
One of my quarentine highlights. Authentic italian pizzas.
N. M.
Quite possibly the best local Italian restaurant in South London. Amazing vibe. Everyone knows everyone. Great food and service. Killer carbonara. Francesco (the owner) could probably be elected Bermondsey mayor. Try it if you are in the area
C. W.
The owner is incredibly nice and welcoming. The food is fantastic as well as the dessert. Although bare concrete walls the decor and art make it feel very homely.
J. S.
Great and affordable Italian 'trattoria' style restaurant - very friendly staff and simple yet tasty dishes.
UPDATE: Since the onset of the pandemic, Cafe Amisha has become a pillar of the community. Quickly adapting to become a grocery and takeaway, Francesco, Paola, and the team continue to be a much-needed part of the Bermondsey area.
T. J.
Have become a regular, used to pass by everyday oblivious to the best food you can possibly consume. Now can’t wait to try a new item on the menu, genuine Italian food, the real deal, fabulously friendly staff, best in London 👍
I. C.
The service, the food and the value for money are all equally excellent.
S. Z.
The food is amazing, confirmed by many friends including native Italians. My friends are always amazed by the quality of the food, located so conveniently in the neighbourhood. A great place for family dining or a romantic table for two.
P. D.
The pizza is at the Franco Manca level (if not better!)
The staff is super friendly and fun.
They have delicious Aperol Spritz.
So glad they’re in Bermondsey!
R. L.
Great place to eat with friends after climbing. Good outdoor area. Food is alright!
M. A.
Lovely place and the staff are always so friendly and welcoming! I love eating here! great Neapolitan Pizzas and dishes to dye for... Thx guys best restaurant in our borough
M. U.
Authentic Italian food and atmosphere with the friendliest people and welcoming Sardinian touch.
R. F.
i am surprised by some reviews.
i went to Amisha a few times and was never disappointed.
i like the place, lot of space so you can get some privacy, you have big tables and small one to accommodate any number of guests. the outside space is great when the weather is kind.
the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere relaxed.
pizza are oven made, fresh and tasty. pasta are al dente and the flavors are amazing. antipasti are generous and so good. never forget the garlic bread with mozzarella, so nice.
prices are very reasonable and you can have a pizza and a beer for 10/12 gbp.
i highly recommend it.
for me it's the best italian restaurant around bermondey/london bridge.
j. a.
Authentic Italian food at a good price
B. P.
Great local family run Italian. Always has a good crowd and nice atmosphere. Francesco (the proprietor) and his wife are lovely too!
D. K.
The best pizzeria in south London. Ran by an Italian owner with a great atmosphere and exceptionally friendly staff. Great value for money. Cannot recommend enough.
T. M.
I came across this lovely Italian restaurant when I recently moved to this area. I like the way the restaurant is organised and the friendly staff. All pasta dishes are unbelievably delicious. Their tiramisu is a MUST try. I am happy it's located in my neighborhood cuz I can pop in anytime I feel like an Italian dish. I highly recommend this restaurant for those who enjoy Italian cuisine. Ciao 😊
N. D.
I love pizza from here! Also other dishes are nice amd they do Aperol! Atmosphere is friendly and very pleasent. They have outdoor seating as well. You can order pizza take-away. Defo worth to go
m. a.
Nice casual neighborhood Italian restaurant with Italian staff (always a plus) with a wide variety of reasonably priced pasta and pixxa dishes as well as appetizers and drinks. My spaghetti carbonara was good but definitely oversalted. But I'll come back and try the pizza next time
B. H.
I've always had a good time there. I like their risottos so they need to make sure they're always on the menu. I hope they do taste card again! Seems like a real Italian family run restaurant.
S. T.
Best place to eat pizza and pasta in London. Very welcomed, pizza Top, price very good, what else ?
V. M.
Friendly staff, fantastic food
A. R.
Tucked away on a small street in Bermondsey and right by Bermondsey Spa Gardens, this is quite a charming restaurant. We were a group of 4 colleagues out for dinner after work on a week day. The restaurant wasnt crowded at 7:30pm but the quality of food was pretty good. We tried both the pasta and the pizza, and given the large portions no one had room for dessert!
N. H.
Stopped on here on a cold and snowy evening and warmed up with a good beer and some wine. Lovely calamari starter followed a very rich and tasty carbonara. Left feeling well equipped to deal with the cold.
S. S.
The best Italian I've been to in a long long time. Amazing pizza. Very amazing staff. Great atmosphere. Authentic Italian restaurant!
M. M.
Authentic italian food and great service! Highly recommended!
A.
Good food, lately there seems to be quite limited space for walk-ins unfortunately. Service is OK, not great. It's a good value for money dinner when you are in the neighborhood.
M. V.
This is hands down my favourite restaurant in Bermondsey. Great atmosphere, truly authentic Italian food, never rushed, very reasonable pricing and always very accommodating. I think people need to remember this is a restaurant, not a pizza express - don't confuse the two.
L. P.
Stripped back modern decor. Family run business. Good pizza. Outdoor seating area. Good service, nice staff. Chilled atmosphere. Popular and usually busy, service good even at busy times.
c. e.
Amazing guy us a host whit Amazing smaille and amazing actitud I love the service thanks guys
S.
Lovely food and lovely people..
P. R.
Busy, buzzy, classic Italian. The place was full of happy customers, most of whom seemed local or at least, regulars. Food is decent at a decent price. Would recommend.
a. s.
Today was my first time in cafe Amisha . The food was declicius 100% proper Italian . Service was great and atmosphere in the restaurant is amazing !! I will definitely recommend to all my friends and we will be coming back soon . Thank you very much Francesco for your hospitality 😉👍
H. P.
The woman on the entrance of the venue was very welcoming, helpful and pointed us in the right direction. The manger of the place was very nice also and gave us a great experience.
D. M.
Good food, excellent service
M. J.
Great food, friendly staff. They are happy to deal with oddities like bringing your own birthday cake, or your own gluten free pasta to cook as they don't do gluten free themselves.
G. V.
Great food, friendly staff and very pleasent atmosphere! Definitely some of the best Italian food in London and one of my favorite restautants!
S. B.

I have been a regular for years, since I moved to the area, and I am not the only one. For many, Amisha is the place to go for proper pizza, pasta and anything italian, including 'buongiorno' with a smile and a wink.
s. f.
Recommend booking as it gets really busy. Very good value for money, great atmosphere and staff were lovely. Highly recommend a visit - you wont be disappointed.
P. R.

Lovely atmosphere. Good food. Superb service. Italian/10 🍷
D. H.
Big Coffee, Small Pasta. It was tasty but i literally could count the number of strands of pasta for £10. Also one seasoned waitress another dimwit waiter. But in general pretty good.
R. T.
Excellent service and superb food.

A. C.

S. H.
Terrific, authentic, flavoursome neighbourhood Italian. Just so much better than the multiple chains that seem to flourish
A. C. (.
I've had worse but, I've certainly had a lot better. Dishes were on the small side and a bit underwhelming for the price. We will not be returning.
B. K.
Good food, good service and nice people! We had to come a second time during our short visit in London!
J. S.
Friendly staff with good service. Pizzas have a nice slightly crispy bottom that works well. Good value!
