Amazing small authentic Italian restaurant. The staff and service were fantastic, the wine menu extensive and the food delicious. It's not at all a pretentious restaurant and the prices are correct. Highly recommend!

I booked a table for two for Valentine's Day and had a lovely meal. The restaurant is located behind the Tate Modern so pop in next time you are in the Bankside area of London. The food is delicious with wonderful ingredients. The acoustics in the restaurant are good so you can actually have a conversation with the person you are with. I took quite a few pictures as I was writing a feature for my blog. I'm sharing these with you so you can see what dishes are available. We ordered vegetarian options, one dish had crab.

We were quite surprised to be able to book last minute for a table for 2 on a Saturday night when everything else nearby is fully booked. The meal turned out to be 10 star level good lol. We had the steak tartare and the anchovies. Then we had the scialatielli with octopus and ‘nduja, agnolotti de plin (with sage and butter), and shared a lemon sole. They were all delicious! The two appetizers were quite playful and got our palates excited. The pasta tasted like freshly handmade (my octopus with nduja was soooo nice!!). We were able to have some yummy wines by the glass with our food as well. What a lovely dinner. So happy to have a cute place like this so close to home. Can‘t wait to come back next time.

Gorgeous Italian place round the corner from Tate Modern. Proper Italian menu with primi piatti, secondi, etc. Don't worry if you're not fluent or you're unfamiliar with the pasta names, staff are extremely knowledgeable and give excellent advice if you're not sure what to order. Prompt service too, and it all tasted fresh! Pasta was actually al dente, which is so hard to find in other so-called 'Italian' restaurants in this country. Definitely going back soon for more of the food and the wine list, the selections make for great food pairings. Eat here!

Super friendly and sincere staff. Owner had a class going on, where he invited a master barista to train his staff. They were so friendly and gave us free on the house cappuccino and late during their training. Delicious! We also ordered two mains which were fantastic. Very authentic Italian cuisine also for reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Very good food. Only criticism was that I wish the staff were kinder to my friend when he asked if there was another meat option due to his food intolerance. As it's an open kitchen, it's easy to hear and see discussions. Made me feel quite unwelcome and tainted my experience. Otherwise, food was lovely.

Very friendly staff, the waiter knew his wines and helped me choose one when they'd run out of my initial choice. I had the Tagliese Capricci which was great, be careful if you don't like spice because the salumi is quite hot! I also had the tiramisu which I regretted, the biscuit was quite dry and the presentation was poor (served out of a plastic carton).

Nice Italian food! A friend booked us a table, there was only a few vegetarian options but my friend asked the staff if we could have something off menu, so we had some ravioli with a tomato sauce and butter and sage. We both really enjoyed our meals and the wine was also nice. I would recommend this restaurant, overall it was a little pricey but not only by say £10 so not excessive. Is a small restaurant so just be aware of that in case you want to book for a larger group!

There are plenty of wonderful dishes on the menu: starters, primi, mains and deserts. The menu changes a little over time in this difficult period. Every dish we have ordered has been really good. The portions are large so we always have left overs to eat the next day - naughty but nice - (though I suspect the chef wouldn't approve). As a result the value if amazing.

Ok. So good bits. Food was gorgeous. Nice portion size # not massive, but neither not enough. I had salt cod with olives in a pasta with tomato sauce. With it I had a large glass of Chianti. It was served quickly and was lovely and hot. Service. I was served quickly and offered a seat initially at a high table, but wasn't easy to sit at, so then offered a seat at equally high window seat. Bad bits. I literally had 1 dish - pasta and 1 glass of wine. A jug of tap water too. I was eating alone. I didn't ask for anything other than to place my order. When I went to pay my bill it came to over £30. I obviously knew the cost of the food and a drink and accepted that it was a little expensive, but to then add a service charge to a single diners bill I felt was a bit cheeky!

I'd caution it's a casual place - a few small tables in a deli - so not a "restaurant", and a bit pricier than most places with similar ambience. Our dinner tonight was one of the most delicious meals we’ve had in many years. From the outside you would never expect such delicious fare. I had veal stuffed with ham and fontina cheese that came with roasted vegetables. Absolutely delicious. My friend had ricotta and spinach ravioli and it was obviously hand made pasta. She wanted to lick the plate. My friend had the home made tiramisu and I had a cream caramel dessert. Again, both were delicious. The service was excellent. If I could give a higher score I would. I highly, highly recommend this restaurant.

I was passing by last week and I decided to have a takeaway from this restaurant and I must say that the food was amazing, delicious ; it is a very authentic Italian restaurant; the quality of the product is at top level. Set out looking for a quick pizza but so pleased we came across this lovely small restaurant, the food was great and the service was fantastic too. No pizza though; We shared pasta with prawns & clams to start and then lamb chops and there was plenty of food for two people. The tiramisu contains alcohol. I had the tart (can't remember what the actual name from the menu was). It was rock hard and not at all enjoyable to eat.

Oh my!!!! What a fabulous jewel between the Tate Modern and Blackfriars. The staff obviously get so much enjoyment from their customers enjoying the delicious food and wine. The products on sale were different from anything I've seen and each one has a story behind it. Had a fantastic meal but also enjoyed the best almond croissant ever the next morning. I snapped up the last two before we left. Almost worth doing the journey from Kent for that alone.

This is a fantastic cafe and restaurant! During my time working in the area, this was my go to place for the best coffee in the vicinity. The excellent quality was consistent as was the friendly and hospitable service. The food is also great. If you are ever on south bank of the river somewhere near Tate Modern, and in need of a decent coffee, don't hesitate to seek out this cosy and welcoming cafe.

The real deal. A tiny deli with a handful of tables offering a short menu of Italian dishes cooked with unusual skill.
