I cannot rave enough about this place. What a welcoming environment, the staff are so friendly and attentive. Gluten and dairy free options, that are delicious! I think there are vegan options too! Would highly recommend, will be coming again!

I was walking around in London looking for food. Couldn't find the place that serves gluten-free food and then one day I walk by this place and the words catch my eye that's someone who struggles with gluten intolerance looking for the best gluten-free food. So I went in check the place and the owner is super friendly and warm welcome and gives me a pizza. That's the pizza was so good and satisfying and real heart. One of the best pizza I ever tasted in the long time. I will definitely be back in that place again. The restaurant is a very cosy, traditional, warm place. Thank you so much!

Finally, I've found a lovely, family run restaurant catered toward my needs as a coeliac! The owner himself has it so understands it all. Two separate kitchens. Homemade GF bread and cakes too! So, so friendly and hilarious. Was treated like a queen! Its so lovely to go out and feel 'normal' all food can be made non gluten top (in the other kitchen) really, really impressed! Review from a gluten free coeliac foodie who has thinks this is the *best* place to get a gluten free pizza in London, and possibly beyond! **The Food** I staked my foodie rep by bringing an Italian friend here and promising him amazing, authentic Italian cuisine. It paid off and the friend will now take my recommendation to go anywhere, so impressed was he. I *like* Pizza Express, I *like* Rosso Pomodoro. I **love** Cotto pizzas. There may be other things on the menu too, but . . . . pizzas. I rest my argument. Visit and be convinced. **The Venue** So long as you can get to Lambeth tube the convenience is terrific and it also a very quick walk from Southbank, Natural History Museum and even Westminster. Space is limited but not as cramped or crowded as a some London venues and there is one romantic little alcove at the back afforded some privacy. **The Service** Lino the coeliac owner personifies the 'larger than life' description. He is a passionate and energetic host and it feels like his restaurant has literally been picked up from some corner of Italy and moved to London. Just like many Italian restaurants, this is a family run shop rather than a place where people simply work. Waiting staff are often young immigrants from Italy, probably often friends of the family.

I had a few months when starting a new job when my commute was briefly hideous, so I found myself eating out a lot before getting the train, during this time I went to Cotto quite a lot, and got to know it well. I was really impressed by The value for money The quality of the food The flexibility of the service (happy to adapt just as well to someone clearly in need of a quick bite or a group who want to take the time) And the really pleasant atmosphere, you could tell it is run by people who enjoyed what they were doing and take real pride in their work. I would heartily recommend to others, and look forward to visiting again myself when restaurants reopen.

I am a Coeliac. Their menu was an embarrasment of riches. Instead of being tolerated I was welcomed. The crowning glory was a proper dessert, that wasn't ice-cream (although in an Italian Restaraunt I wouldn't have minded) or fruit salad. We popped in here as the menu at our hotel (Park Plaza, 1 minutes walk away) didn't inspire us. It was fantastic. Friendly staff, really great food (that was so appetizing we forgot to take photos until after we had started(, very nice house white, great coffee. The tiramisu was the best we have ever had (including numerous restaurants throughout Italy). The owner was particularly friendly and I cannot fault this at all. Highly recommended.

Really good gluten free pizzas (for celiacs)! The dough is thick bit very spongy and light. I had a Salame pizza and I really liked it! The spicy oil was delicious too. I recommend you to try it. The desserts was really good too. Again, plenty of proper gluten free options. The service was great. They're very friendly and talkative. We really enjoyed our time here and we will definitely cone back!

We were coming home from a tour quite late on a Saturday night with our children. We discovered our kids were not welcome in a couple of the restaurants/ pubs, and that many kitchens closed at 9:00. At a little after 10:00, we decided to head for the hotel and get room service.Then we saw Cotto Italian Restaurant, so close to our hotel at Park Plaza Waterloo, and inquired if they would serve us. They welcomed us in with reassurances, and after checking the kitchen, offered to make us anything on the menu. 3 of us ordered pizzas (great crust, very tasty) and one ordered pasta. It was homemade and tasty. Despite it being past closing, the owner chatted with us amiably and we didn't feel rushed or like a nuisance. It was a really good experience, and the food was authentic and very good. I highly recommend it.

They specialise in gluten free pasta, as the owner/dad is gluten intolerant and hence has worked hard to provide a great alternative, and is happy to chat with you about it! This was a great meal. We just spent a week in Italy and ended up getting the best Italian meal in London. My friend and I are gluten free and their entire menu has gluten free options. The owner is celiac so he understands the importance of keeping things separate. We had the insalata tri-color for a starter, We had the gluten free Gnocchi and a gluten free pizza with incredible hot pepper olive oil (see picture). We also had gluten free tiramisu and lemon sorbet served in a lemon. What a great experience

Great pizza, proper Italian style pizza, and full of flavour (tomato sauce is so well seasoned, almost too salty). The dough and crust are perfection. I find the pizza quite pricey for what it is, on average £14, which is almost double the price of Franco Manca... but this place is a family run business, that is why the higher price. They also have gluten free pizza and beer. They have a very good beer, Birra Moretti which you should try. The only downside was the fizzy drinks being quite flat, Diet Coke was pretty flat (they poor the soft drinks from from big 2 litter bottle, not nice). Also, they place a dish of olives on your table (without asking) and offer you “free” bread but charge for it at the end... it is cheap, but a little cheeky to do that

Came across by accident. Glad we did. Fantastic. There were 6 of us, 4 adults and 2 children. The owner and his family were so accommodating. The menu was actually really hard to decide from as there was so much good food to choose from. We all had something different and every meal was served hot and in good time. The taste was excellent, couldn't fault it. It's just a shame it's not local to us or I would be here all the time.

When ordering gluten free I never feel 100% sure that the restaurant staff understands my celiac condition. When I opened my menu at Cotto all my concerns quickly went away. I didnt count how many items were on the menu itself , but next to almost all of them was marked gluten free. I am talking about at least 25 Italian dishes to choose from. While talking to the owner he told us he has been celiac 30 years , and it brings a smile to his face to make what celiacs want to eat. There is at least 1 complaint though , when the waiter offered us bread (including glutenfree bread) there was an upcharge of 1pound for each person that took bread.

Really did love the experience. Excellent choice of gluten free Italian food. Not very often I go for pasta and pizza because its so hard to find anywhere with a decent range of options. The gluten free pasta was excellent with a wide range of options, not just the usual choice of one pasta. Warm gluten free bread offered as an option before starters, which rarely happens anywhere. Can strongly recommend the Puttanesca which was most definately NOT frozen. Had a Pizza to follow, again, the base looked to be freshly made, only a little to thick for me which made it difficult to cut into. deserts all gluten free. The house wine was very good. My daughter had a normal starter and pizza, again the base was fresh not frozen. Good friendly service with ample sized portions. Would very definitely make the effort of going again :)

Just the other side of the road from Lambeth North tube station Cotto is a great little find. Authentic Italian cuisine. I've never had a bad meal there. The pasta is cooked to perfection every time. Best gluten-free and italian cuisine in London. Owner and staff was very friendly and chatty, we had a good evening. The food (we had pizza) was delicious. There's a gluten-free option for almost every dish on the menu. I had tiramisu as dessert and an espresso afterwards. While eating the tasty tiramisu the espresso cooled down (because it was served too early) and I immediately got a hot one for free.

Such lovely people. Wonderful parmaham with a tiny wiff of smoke to begin with. The fact that I asked for spaghetti a la carbonara without cream and they brought out the perfect dish is amazing. Usually a restaurant would just omit the cream and will give you a dry carbonara without the egg, but these guys came through. Super happy about that. The lady at the till then called me 'darling' and told me to have a good night. A very positive experience all in all. Drop in of you're in the area. A dead giveaway is that everyone in the place is Italian and there are Italian customers there. Definitely not your usual tourist trap.

Cotto would be fantastic as a normal Italian restaurant, but what makes it even better is that it does gluten-free pizza & pasta!! And it does it amazingly well!! Great for my wife who is coeliac, and can't usually eat in Italian reastaurants.. The owner is a larger than life Italian who is coeliac. Take him as you find him, he won't bite. Food is plentiful and excellent, and very good, fast service. Good wines too.

I love this place, family run classic Italian joint. The food is always fresh, tasty, cooked to perfection and served with a BIG smile. They also cater for Gluten intolerance which i have never seen anywhere else in London. Well located 5 minutes walk from waterloo. The house red is a lovely smooth drop - perfect to wash down the divine Tiramisu. Well worth a visit, ive been back multiple times and it wont be long until the next visit.
