Restaurants don't get much more fun than this place. You come for the atmosphere and stay, well, for the atmosphere. Not only was the booking experience great (shout out to Lisa who was incredibly attentive with my food allergies) but from the moment you arrive the staff treat you like one of the family, Giuseppe is an amazing character full of life, he made a point to stop by every table to ensure a good time is being had by all! We all felt like we were part of their evening of fun. If you're looking for high class fine dining, this isn't the place, but if you're looking for a joyous evening of entertainment and dancing then you really can't go wrong. We're already excited for our next visit!

Great pizza in hard to find non-chain Italian restaurant.
We turned up on a Tuesday evening at 7pm without a reservation and were found table by friendly staff.
The Guisseppe pizza was delicious with a crisp base and recommend the Peroni beer to wash it down with.
Feels authentic and the basement setting makes it feel very intimate here. Would recommend

Amazing! The best spaghetti bolognese I've ever had. The restaurant is a literal hole in the wall, down a staircase into a cozy basement. The waiters were all very nice and we had a great time.

Probably the Best Italian in London, Best I’ve had anyway. Went for lunch, nice cozy restaurant with fresh ingredients and authentic tasting dishes. Ordered a starter, main and dessert and it was sublime. Good customer service too. Will defo come back again

Great food, great staff, affordable price👌

Visited last night. Had not booked but they fitted us in where no other restaurant could. There is a real Old School feel to this place which I loved. The food was excellent. Pizza and Pasta is really reasonably priced for the centre of London, other things are bit pricier. My pizza was the best pizza I have had outside of Italy, I have never tasted anything else that is as close to that authentic pizza taste you only get in Italy. The service was some of the friendliest I have ever experienced. What a find!

Visited here last night everything about this place was outstanding! From the greeting on arrival to the thank you when we left! The food was probably one of if not the best Italian I’ve ever eaten. I had bruschetta followed by spaghetti carbonara and both were delicious full of flavor , the pasta was piping hot and incredibly creamy and the tomatoes on the bruschetta we’re really tasty ! Would highly recommend this place

My favourite Italian restaurant in the whole of London. Giuseppe is a fantastic, passionate and funny owner. Always attentive to every customers that sits. The place is vibrant. The food is delicious, the wine is good, the staff is knowledgeable, friendly and delivers a great customer service. I'll always have fun memories of the atmosphere in the weekend. It is a gem of a place. Long live Giuseppe!

I used to go here regularly when I worked near Borough. The lunch time value meal consisted of pasta, drink and salad for under five pounds. It’s slightly more expensive now but worth every penny. The staff are friendly and they know what you are going to order as soon as you enter the door. They have never made a mistake despite how busy they are.

Small and intimate Italian restaurant. Really enjoyed our supper. The food tasted amazing! The atmosphere was alright, cramped and small table spaces made it hard to visit with others which was a con. Definitely worth a visit. Would return just because the food was very high quality.

Excellent little outlet on Borough.
Variety of foods of the Italian persuasion and the build your own salad is so tasty.
Top marks for this gem but get there early as it gets packed for lunch come noon.

Intimate venue with nice ambience. HOWEVER, the food could be improved. We ordered pizza and although the toppings were definitely fresh, the base of the pizza tasted pre-made/frozen. If this was improved the restaurant would be 5 stars.

After leaving the Chocolate Factory at 9:30pm, we were very happy to find this place open at 9:45pm when all around in Borough Market had closed on a Friday night 🤷🏻♀️. The pizza came with a generous topping and the lasagne really tasty. But the best was the authentic Italian service and buzzy atmosphere. Thank you!

We were welcomed Saturday night, no reservation. A table opened up, great service and the owner was so friendly and welcoming. I do recommend you book a table, very busy restaurant. We just stumbled on the place, took a shot. Wow! What an atmosphere…🎶
Music and vibe, like being in New York. “Forget about it”…Lol
Food was phenomenal. Pasta with ragu and prawn in garlic sauce, out of this world. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing food. Best Italian food I’ve ever had. I will definitely come back here and recommend it to my friends.

A strange place. The waiter barely spoke English. When we asked how many people the starter was for, we were told "one obviously, if it was more than one, it would obviously say on the menu". The starters came, and they were definitely not for one person. However, I have to say the food was sublime. The main course was truly cooked with mouth watering flavour. Very reasonable portion, but slightly on the expensive side. The bill was another confusing concept, just got a total without a break down. When we asked for the break down, we got a blank stare. Few minutes after paying the bill we were asked to leave to make way for anotber table. All this on a Wednesday night. But I guess, it just shows how popular the place is. If you can look past the service, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the quality of food.

What a great little find! Round the corner from London bridge, down a little staircase, this cute little Italian place was everything we wanted for an impromptu evening out - authentic, delicious food, friendly staff and great wine. The singer was fab too.
D. C.
Was pleasantly surprised after reading negative reviews on Tripadvisor. Came here with a Taste Card which gives 2 for 1 on the cheapest starters, main meals and dessert. The service was very nice, the ambience intimate and the food portions wee big and delicious. My vegetarian friend also had lots of options to choose from.

A wonderful (and I believe is one of South Bank's oldest) family-run Italian restaurant. It was very cosy and made you feel right at home. There were a lot of tables but it started to fill up fast after 7pm. I ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara (Italian style, of course) and it's sooo tasty I loved it! But oh my god their portions are MASSIVE. I'm a pretty small eater so I was struggling to finish my plate. It might be perfect for bigger eaters. I also ordered an Aperol Spritz, an Italian wine-based cocktail and it was delicious! The sweetness came in strong at first which then mellowed out to which a little bitterness of the Aperol came through. I really enjoyed my meal but perhaps would've been better if I shared my plate because again, WOW their portions are huge.

I celebrated my birthday at Giuseppe's Ristorante and had the best time ever!!! The food was great, the ambiance was amazing and the organisation was perfect for a big group.
Thanks to Giuseppe, Lisa, Massimo, Turi and the whole team.
See you soon

Small hidden restaurant close to London bridge station. We had a live music. The atmosphere was a bit too loud so it was difficult to talk with my friends. The food was good, just the carbonara were bit too creamy. The staff is very nice and we got some lemon liquor after our main. Better to book to be sure to have a place
T. H.
An absolute gem of London. Giuseppe and his staff were so welcoming and kind. Food was delicious and live music from Andrea was superb. I will be revisiting again and again for years to come.

Delicious pasta, great basement setting and atmosphere which felt quintessentially italian! Very friendly staff too. Perhaps a touch pricey, but everything else was fantastic!
K. S.
Very authentic.. went here for a dinner yesterday and had a great time! We had a couple of starters, pasta and a bottle of wine.. Wine list has many options price range around £20 -£30 /bottle..food portions are really big (we were really hungry, however starters filled us up!) definitely get your moneys worth! We had a lobster linguini and I can surely say that this was one of the best lobsters I had.. it came with a whole lobster and tones of prawns! Highly recommend to all the sea food connoisseurs :)
Service was great, very attentive staff and food came out really quickly, which was impressive as the restaurant was nearly full.
Will be back!

This is a proper Italian; not like one of those chains. The food is on point and the atmosphere is great. Definitely recommended
L. S.
Amazing restaurant, friendly, polite, professional staff. Service and food was excellent. Highly recommend and I will definitely become a regular!
N. B.
Such an amazing place! Great atmosphere, fantastic food, lovely wine. Celebrated my birthday with friends here and the staff were all attentive and kind and fun, making the evening such a joy. The owner is charismatic and funny and has such great stories. Will absolutely be back soon!
T. B.
Very good food and found us a place at short notice
Definitely go here again
E. B.
Really friendly and helpful staff. Food not bad either. Remember to get the restaurant the entrance is to the side of the building not front 😅

From the moment we have walked in we were treated like family. Talk about customer service- amazing!!! The food was delicious, the ambience was on point and the atmosphere made you feel like you were in Italy! I highly recommend this spot for anyone trying to get away from the hustle and bustle of the streets of London and wanting an authentic Italian experience.
B. M.
Great menu selection and food quality was excellent. A real homey feel and made exceptional by the fantastically friendly staff.
N. J.
Amazing food and very friendly staff - I would definitely go there again when I am next in London.
B. F.
The best place. Such good atmosphere, great food and brilliant entertainment! Highly recommend!
G. Z.
The food is good, ok but not more then that.
I had a minestrone soup below average, my meat lasagna was good not great, deserts the cannoli was from the fridge so certainly not crispy 😞
G. M.
Friendly and fun with great food.
A hidden Gem with atmosphere.
Intimate and compact but somehow relaxed and not cramped.....
S. D.
Authentically cooked Italian food at a reasonable price.
Lovely staff and great atmosphere, what more can you ask for?
Stopped here for food before going to the Shard at night
H. S.
Loved this place . We just fell on it by accident.
Food was first class.
Great singer on while we were eating .
Then had a disco.
Brilliant night was had by all.
A.
Great restaurant during the day, awesome party night in the New's year 🎉😀🍾
S. M.
Good atmosphere but tables were sticky and place seemed unclean
D. H.
Nice atmosphere. Not fancy but friendly. Vegan options available, including penne arrabiata, to which they were happy to add mushrooms. Would recommend
S. F.
Just great. Great food, great service, great entertainment. The staff spoiled my mum rotten on her birthday, nothing was too much trouble. It was my first time at Giuseppe's and certainly won't be my last. Can't recommend enough.
A. M.
Actually better than any pizzeria we found in Rome! Nice atmosphere and pleasant service. Very reasonably priced too 😊
N. S.
we celebrated my mom's 60th birthday here and I'm so glad we did! The staff couldn't of been more friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere in here is truly authentic and special. The food is delicious the wine was wonderful. Just perfect!!! Will certainly be back soon. Thanks for making my moms birthday so memorable, Giuseppes!!
A. H.
Absolutely fantastic Italian Restaurant. Staff are amazing, helpful and very friendly. Food is delicious and well presented. Restaurant very clean and has a lovely cosy atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
J. C.
Fantastic food, great staff, great entertainment and the most welcoming greeting from Giuseppe himself! Wonderful place for an Italian meal and a wonderful night out!
Z. T.
Amazing food and lovely little restaurant. Visited for an early dinner and it was quite quite. Quirky atmosphere. Lovely olives for starters!
K. W.
Wow. Well we found this place when looking for an italian near our hotel and it really made our day! Amazing food, great staff and live music. Our highlight was meeting Giuseppe and sharing a limoncello or 2 with him. A real hidden gem x
E. P.
The food was very good atmosphere excellent staff made us very welcome would certainly recommend it spotlessly clean. Well worth a visit.
S. S.
Service was very slow even though not many customers in. Most of the desserts on the online menu weren't available.
T. B. B.
The famous burger bap. Kept me going all day! And the staff are lovely!
M. C.
Went along on a thurs night to have a bowl of pasta and some vino. Small and cosy cellar type restaurant. Very noisy but in a good way. Staff very attentive with quick service. Then to our surprise this guy with a background music machine and an electric guitar wedged into a tiny space starts singing 80's music. Classic after classic with the restaurant patrons all joining in the singsong. Good food with excellent entertainment. Really enjoyed our visit.

Nice food friendly staff

Was in London for the day, had no idea where to eat and walked into this restaurant as we both love Italian food. We were able to get a table without reservation even though the restaurant was fairly busy. The menu had a good selection, and I don't eat meat but do eat fish. We had a very generous starter, and a delicious bowl of pasta with seafood. The wine list was good and I enjoyed some very nice pinot grigio. A nice selection of dessert is available. The proprietor and staff are very welcoming and service was prompt. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal. The food is very good and priced fairly. We live on the South coast but would happily return to this restaurant when in London again.

A cute little Italian place near Borough. Reminds me fondly of the many Italian restaurants in New York City. It’s small but cozy, and portions are delicious and filling. Very well-priced wine, probably some of the cheapest I’ve seen in London.
I’ve been there a few times, but have to note that Valentine’s Day was my favorite. They gave all the ladies roses and provided limoncello and chocolates to everyone! :)
b. s.
Best Italian. Family run and amazing food beats any chain restaurant around !
T. B.
A hidden gem of a restaurant. Great food and excellent atmosphere.
T. T.
Great for a lively birthday party. There was live singing and serenading. They bought out the cake in style. They made us feel welcomed and homely. Didn't like the songs from the disco afterwards but it's a tight little underground space I would recommend.
N. S.
We went for dessert and a drink. Part way through this great music started and to our surprise it was a musician playing an electronic guitar and singing. The food was worth the price but the music took the experience over the top. Seriously talented guy. Go!!
t. m.
Food is great and the staff are brilliant. Such a great night.
M. L.
Excellent food, authentic italian experience, friendly, laid back place. A real gem!
P. B.
The best Italian restaurant in London, a little trip down memory lane. is like going back to the 50s what a fantastic restaurant.
T. R.
Absolutely amazing experience at Giuseppe’s last night, the food was lush, entertainment was brilliant and hospitality typical Italian style 🇮🇹💕they made my daughter’s 18th birthday very special, Thankyou 💕
S. S.
Well executed Italian food and warm welcome
F. Z.
Fantastic Restaurant and Late night disco. Very Friendly Staff and owner. Recommended night out.
S. I.
Food was awesome. Waitress was from our country wich made our experience a lot better. The price was a little to high but compared to other similar places we went this had the best quality. The best food we ate in London this time
S.
Great Italian food in a warm and friendly environment. Their seafood in particular really stands out. My only fault is that due to the live singer it does get very loud in the restaurant - the singer had a lovely voice but my friends and I were struggling to talk to each other or even get the waiters attention on occasion. I think the atmosphere would have been perfect for us on a Friday or Saturday evening but on a Tuesday when we all just wanted to catch up it wasn't ideal. Having said that I'd still come back when I'm more interested in the food than the conversation!

Lovely food in what feels like an under ground Italian restaurant deep in the Hart of Rome not South Bank
S. K.
Giuseppe's turns into a small, intimate bar/club on Friday nights after midnight. This is my main experience with Giuseppe's - not the restaurant :)
On Fridays, it's by far my go-to place to enjoy a drink and dance a little whenever I'm in the London bridge area (sometimes even when I'm nowhere near). The smaller size makes it more personal, and the staff is absolutely amazing. The drinks are on the expensive side, but it's 100% worth it to me. To me, it's one of London's hidden gems which I'll keep coming back to over and over again.
At the very least, I'd recommend everyone to drop by and see what a Friday night looks like in this place :)
J. C.
The food and service were overall good. However, a member of staff asked us to vacate our table within 10 minutes of our finishing our food and when we still had wine to drink. We were asked to move to the 'bar' which is just a high table with no stools or chairs. For that reason not sure if I would return or recommend. Maybe go when it is not busy and they don't pressure people to leave.
L. S.
I remember my first time there when I got a burnt mushroom sauce with my pasta but I did not say anything because everyone there was so seriously Italian and I thought maybe this is how it was supposed to taste. Also, I had a great date and decided not to be fussy.
But speaking seriously - the place has a charm of a family run restaurant and the food is fairly good (forget my pasta sauce, I came back). Also, you get this absolutely horrible authentic Italian service so it offers a certain type of experience. But if they are authentic Italians they should try a bit harder.
M. E.
Incredible restaurant. I have been here twice now and both times have been great! Delicious food and wine at reasonable prices. Brilliant entertainment from the staff too. We didn't want to leave! Will definitely be returning
S. M.
Great resturent, the owner was very friendly.
Will definitely be going back soon
R. B.
Great night at Giuseppe's, good food, great ambiance and If you're lucky enough the great Giuseppe himself will grace your table week as bottle of lemoncello!
N.
Fantastic linguini lobster. Friendly and attentive servers. Highly recommended!
D. C.
Real tasty Italian food at high London prices in this lively hidden gem. Limited space so recommend to book well in advance if you have a need for more than 2 people dining, and even then, book to avoid disappointment on a date! The owner showed up later in the evening and came and chatted and let the limoncello flow. I beleive after midnight on a Friday they move the tables aside and host a disco till the wee hours. Well worth a stop if you're in the mood for Italian food..
O.
Such a charming, and authentic place. The staff are friendly, helpful and fun. The portions are large and the food is good. Especially like the singer they had on the Monday night we dined.
Giuseppe's will be our go to family Italian down in Southwark.
O. M.
This is a quirky little place, but I'd say it's the kind of place you need to be drunk or up for something a little bit tacky before you go. Food and drink is relatively expensive for what it is (Spaghetti Bolognese costs £14.50). During the meal they have a Sinatra style crooner singing. Service and billing is kind of old school with lots of numbers scribbled on pieces of paper when there was a query regarding the bill. Once it's late they push the tables to the side and play disco music. It is open till 4am Friday and Saturday. So if you are out late this is one of the only options in the London Bridge area.
C. B.
Lovely cosy Italian restaurant. We were even entertained by a live singer. Food was delicious. Very good service. I would definitely return. House red wine was very very good. It was very busy and had to share a table but was to be expected on a busy Saturday evening.
D. K.
Tiny Italian place with tasty food and good size portions. Extremely cramped seating and very noisy. There was an entertainer there when we went who was trying to sing whilst everyone was eating and talking. It didn't work. If you want somewhere romantic and quiet, then avoid.
T. X.
Absolutely fantastic little gem! 10 of us went for a birthday and they were more than accommodating. Lovely atmosphere, lots of singing and the food was gorgeous. The birthday boy ended being given a pint of limoncello which went down very well! Would go 1000 times again.
C. M.
Excellent late night drink here, didn't even know it was a restaurant, but I will be trying the food soon. Because if the food is as good as the great atmosphere this place has, it will be excellent. The owner is a very nice man, and the bar was non threatening, cosy, great atmosphere, friendly and accommodating. It was a little pricey, but worth it I felt.
S. M.
Food was very average, nothing wrong with it but I've had much, much better, and cheaper. So neither the flavours, nor the value for money, were pleasing. Their mixed seafood grill sounded great but it was fairly flavourless, oily and just fishy in the chip shop sense. Seafood pasta was alright, nothing special. Seriously, the modest Bella Italia delivers much better on that front (spaghetti gamberoni). On the plus side, the space is very pleasant, service good and attentive and their house wine was very tasty. Whilst very important, these are just "add-ons", though, in the absence of great food experience.
E.
I've been a few times but most recently on a Thursday night for my birthday an the atmosphere was amazing! The food is always exceptional here. I definitely recommend if you like Italian food.
M. W.
A London must. Little gem hidden next to London Bridge. Fantastic italia food. Live music and even some dancing 😆. It's an experience like no other. Staff super friendly and service super quick. No matter if it's a dinner for two or group outing, you'll have a great time.
H. R.
This place is absolutely amazing! It's quite hidden away which means it never to busy! I first came here with family, and since then has been a regular dinner location. My favourite dish is the Lobster Ravioli, It tastes so good, I lick the plate clean! My mum's favourite dish is the Mushroom risotto, whilst my father's is the Spaghetti neri a sepia! Everything Ive tried here has been delicious and fresh and the service is always friendly!

Good vibes. Old school dance a night, on tequila

Tonight, got the last table for 2 as the masses streamed past, trying to unsuccessully achieve what we had accomplished.
And what a meal!
Forget pizza express
Forget Ask
Completely smitten with the taste let alone the choice!
Authentic Italian food starts here.
Highly recommended - but do book a table !
K. G.
I've given it a 5 star for the character. You go here for the live music, the characterful owner & waiters, and for the fun Friday disco feel it turns into on a Friday night. The food is tasty too though!
Its not PRM friendly and you need to take half a flight of stairs to basement level.
Recommend booking for no disappointment, especially for parties larger than 2 ppl. Although, we did get a disjointed table for 9 when we went without a booking on a Saturday.
G. W.
Went here on a Friday night, live music was amazing and the atmosphere was friendly and fun. Food is great and Giuseppe was around being welcoming to his customers. I can honestly say this is the most fun I’ve had at a restaurant! Highly recommend
K. D.
We've been there 3 times and it was an other pleasant experience. We've had a catfish ink spaghetti with prawns and squid, bruschetta with tomato and spaghetti with clams for me. Was everything so delicious and authentic, also great service from the staff in particular from Massimo that also offered us a couple of shots of limoncello. I recommend to anyone eating at Giuseppe's, surely will enjoy the cuisine!
R. G.
Cute little den & a perfect hangout with friends. Lovely atmosphere, we have always visited on the Jazz nights (Thurs & Friday). We have been looked after very well by the owner himself and staff too. Love the Carbonara & veal but Wouldn't recommend the calamari (such a shame!).
Overall, if you are looking for a relaxed fun-filled evening, you can't go wrong with Giuseppe.
Great location & great food. Don't forget to book though as its a very busy place and not many tables too.
S. W. M.
Great little Italian restaurant tucked away in the hustle and bustle of Borough. Great selection of food with good sized portions. Definitely left satisfied. Perhaps a tad pricey, but considering the location, not surprising.
L. M.
It was my first time and actually was better than many others restaurants i visited before. The food was really nice and the service was perfect. I had some pasta and a couple of desserts everything tasty. My friend had a steak and it looked amazing as well. Definitely coming back soon
M. A. V.
Lovely place, the food is really tasty, everybody is nice there, also the live music is good (today was Frank Sinatra songs!).. you will feel like in home there (Italian home). I recommend you to book a table before :-)
Y. C.
I have to say the first time I walked inside the restaurant I thought it was a tourist trap but it turned out to be one of the nicest Italian restaurants. It's a family style restaurant with delicious food and large portions at a reasonable price. The staff are very nice and there is often live music to add to the entertainment.
S. H.
The best Italian restaurant I've been at in London I go for the bruschetta and lasagne which are always delicious. I love the atmosphere as well it's underground so you have to go down some stairs but it's got such an authentic feel to it. Waiters here are always friendly.
J.
A wonderful inconspicuous place to dine! Upon seeing the sign and craving some italian food, my friend and I discovered this place while strolling through the streets. We followed a staircase downstairs and entered a wonderful little place with a woman providing lovely live music!
The staff was wonderful and very nice. My friend had Pasta (Spaghetti Bolognese, I think) and I went for the Lasagna. It was delicious and the whole atmosphere in there was great. It felt like I was in the movies! I will definitely make sure to come back on my next visit to London!
C. B.
Ok, so if you have ever wanted to feel like you are part of a big family, open arms, sparkly atmosphere, fun live music & amazing food....Giuseppes you must go!
Go in the beginning of your travels because you will want to go again. It is such an amazing feeling to be a visitor but to be treated like a local. Our little dinner out turned into an entire evening of wine, food, wine, dessert, wine, dance, wine, & NEW FRIENDS! WOW, We closed the place, miss you all already!
C. K.
Authentic Italian food and experience in London Bridge. Some how it's in central but feels like a well kept secret. The food my group had was great. One of my friends is from Naples and even he thought it was incredible.
M. U.
Fantastic late lunch great service great food and wine well worth a visit. Certainly found a gem here.
B. S.
Food is good enough, and reasonably priced. The setting is a pretty dark and stuffy basement. But then it turned into a karaoke party after the meal was over and we just couldn't pull ourselves away -- amazing!
C. S.
Classic 1960s era Italian atmosphere complete with a lounge singer on Saturday night. It's in a moderately touristy area, but the prices are reasonable considering that. Gluten free pasta is available. Our group of 8 received complimentary lemoncello at the end of the meal.
L. D.
Went here on a Friday evening for a company team dinner. It's tucked away down in a basement with space that could generously be described as cosy bordering on cramped.
There was live 'entertainment' in the form of a man belting tunes out badly at high volume - somewhat charming at first but grating after a while, though some people appeared to enjoy it.
The service was mostly OK although it took ages for the mains to show up. So long that at one point the waiters brought us dessert menus under the belief that we'd already had our mains. The food itself was good, with decent sized portions, though some of the others at the table didn't seem to enjoy their dishes too much.
A mixed bag in every way.
D. B.
Nice food but disappointed to find that this restaurant charges 10% service charge but only shares half of it with their staff. If you are comfortable with this then pay the Service Charge. If you are not, then don't pay the service charge, tell them why and leave a cash tip instead as this does get shared with staff in its entirety
M. B.
A charming place with, in our experience, hit-and-miss food. Apart from an oil-and-vinegar "Caesar salad" with almost no ingredients in common with an actual Caesar salad, our pastas were tasty albeit very heavy on, respectively, cream and oil. We'd try Giuseppe's again—but only after reading reviews for recommendations on specific dishes.
R. Y.
For such a famous restaurant the customer service was top notch and the food is delicious. I look forward to taking my misses there.
P.
Really tasty food. I got the spaghetti bolognese which was great. The atmosphere of the place was also nice and out of the way. When I was there they had someone singing. The service was also good.
C. D.
We've been coming here since our first date and we always have a good time! The prices are fair and the food is even fairer! Lovely wines and the service is fantastic! I would recommend the Pasta Nero Di Seppia!
A. C.
Cosy Italian serving great food with live Sinatra-style crooner to accompany the meal. Finished with a complimentary limoncello 😋
M. P.
I really enjoyed the food, portions I think are really big. I wish there was an option to order half of the main - as it was, I'm glad I didn't order a starter but also dissaponted I had no space for dessert, I was barely able to finish.
F. P.
As soon as I stepped in it felt like I was back in Italy. The ambiance is very traditional and the staff is very polite. I did not go for a gourmet lunch, I just got a regular Spaghetti Bolognese . DELICIOUS. Fresh tomato and pasta well cooked. I will be back, SOON!
R. R.
Had lunch with a friend and her granddaughter. The staff were friendly, service was fast but the food was average.... I say that because my friend's food was tasty, mine and her granddaughter's were below average. Maybe we made poor choices?! :-/
M. B.
Quintessentially traditional Italian feel as soon as you walk in. Food was beautifully cooked and my dessert was just wonderful. Ate too much but it was lovely!
P. N.
The perfect place to order some delicious pasta or pizza. The guys know how to prepare every classic Italian dish with love and perfection.
I was here last night with my wife and I can honestly say we had a lovely dinner.
A. B. (.
Excellent value and amazing how much they can do in such a tiny space. Didn't take a photo of my ciabatta as I was too hungry but it was delicious. Best value in Southwark Borough area.
T. L.
Have been dining here for several years and am finally getting around to writing a review. Very friendly and welcoming staff that are never shy to top up your wine glass or share a shot of lemonciello. Be wary of the automatic service gratuity charge, as that sneaks up on you. On Friday and Saturday night, they have a Frank Sinatra impersonator.
J. M.
Fantastic food, excellent portion sizes that are reasonably priced, and a really warm atmosphere. Would visit again! The mushroom risotto was delicious
D. M.
Delicious food, live singer, great decor, Mr Giuseppe & limon chellos. There was two birthday groups on my visit and the whole room started karaokeing and passing the mic around..... loved it.
D. S.
Fantastic staff, cracking atmosphere and a real family-esque environment set up here as all the staff and Giuseppe himself are waiting on hand and foot to ensure you have a fun, exciting and enjoyable experience at Giuseppes! The complementary limoncello is the cherry on the icing on the cake! But the chips were a bit too salty..
O. S.
It is cosy, alright, if in an old fashioned way as with its deco. Good that they served into late night. Food was mediocre, to be honest. Veal cutlet needed to get crisped up more and the bolonegse pasta sauce tasted somewhat suspiciously close to that from a jar.
S. B.
A lovely find. Very intimate and a nice change to the restaurant chains. Good sized portions, come hungry. Attentive staff without being intrusive.
A. H.
This place is brilliant. If you’re a sniffy foody you may well leave pleased but Giuseppes really is all about the atmosphere. You will be welcomed like a family member, you will be looked after, you will be remembered. You will possibly sing, definitely laugh, you will eat and drink merrily... then top everything off with too much limoncello. If you don’t have a sense of humour just don’t bother. We have been coming back to giuseppes for 10 years and have celebrated so many big milestones here, from early dates, birthdays, Christmases, valentines days, our engagement, and now our leaving London. The people we bring to Giuseppes return again and again too. We will still come back here whenever we come back to London, an absolutely wonderful place. Thank you Giuseppe for so many memories through the years.
S. L.
Lovely Italian resraurant on the south side of London Bridge. They are a short walk from Tower Bridge and close to the Shard. The staff are very helpful with menue choices if your understanding of Itialian dishes is average. The menue is well done with traditional dishes and prices are moderate. Well worth a stop for lunch or dinner. We were there to celebrate a Christmas party. We all enjoyed the good food the attentive service and the entertainment.
M. P.
Very enjoyable lunch. Pleasant atmosphere and plenty of food.
C. W.
Excellent food, great service in a nice atmosphere. Very good portion sizes and reasonably priced! My first visit and it won't be my last!
P. C.
Very cozy and warm place. Love Giuseppe's greetings of his guests. Food is very good, not so common at all to find such a good Italian food in London! Generous portions, worthy the money you spend. Recommend pappardelle with wild boar ragu', ravioli with seafood and torta della nonna!
J. W.
Excellent atmosphere, great food and reasonably priced! Waiter was also very keen to explain Italian traditions and names!
C. H.
Subterranean dining. Authentic Italian cuisine. I thought a bit pricey but then tis London.
J. H.
The atmosphere is fantastic and the service is very friendly. I go back all the time. The food is incredible my faveorite is the seafood speciality is fantastic a must try. Great for the whole family and friends and because its so cosy its great for a date too. I recommend this place to anyone
A. M.
Absolutely amazing. You will not find a better Italian in London. Great food. Great staff. Giuseppe is so welcoming. Highly recommended.
C. H.
Fabulous restaurant with impeccable service and utterly delicious food. We'll be back!
S. G.
My favourite restaurant in London. Had some fantastic meals there. Always a great atmosphere on a Friday night. Great family run restaurant. Lots of fun!
J. G. M.
Excellent prawns lovely steak
C. S.
Inauspicious entrance opened to the warm welcome & bustle of a classic Italian restaurant enhanced by Edmundo singer & awesome guitarist. Service friendly & great!
G. M.
Excellent and very friendly with really good food
J.
Lovely food at this little Italian restaurant hidden away at London Bridge. The service could be a bit better, but thats small bean compared to the quality of the food. We loved it and the choice was vast and all at a reasonable cost.
S. J.
Extremely Good service and lovely atmosphere. Fantastic and genuine food. One of my favourite Italian restaurants I've been to.
P. B.
A little bit disappointed in the garlic bread and cheese but in love with the pasta
V. T.
This place is a little hidden gem hiding a few steps from London Bridge station. As you walk down the steps to Giuseppes you will find a little, not too fancy, but very quirky Italian restaurant that makes you feel like you are in one of the sets from the Sopranos. This is a family run restaurant, everyone there speaks Italian, that offers great food at reasonable prices. I absolutely love their penne Siciliana (with aubergine, mozzarella and tomato sauce) and their Chicken Milanese - definitely the best I’ve had in London. Everyone that eats there gets a complimentary lemocello that is delicious and nicely chilled. If you are looking for an authentic, fun Italian eating experience, I highly recommend Guiseppes.
P.
Always a laugh. Never boring. Unpretentious, uncomplicated fun neighborhood Italian with singing waitors and complimentary Limoncello buried under London Bridge. My safety net restaurant in the area.
J. F.
Truthfully the best restaurant ive ever been to; amazing food and great atmosphere. The owner was singing and pouring Limoncello for everyone. Not your typical Italian.
T. N.
The food and prices were excellent but we visited on a Saturday night with friends and were unable to hold a proper conversation due to the singer which kind of spoiled our evening as we wanted to catch-up with people we had not seen for a long time and couldn't hear ourselves think
C. T.
A gem of a restaurant in a bustling high street. The staff are attentive and the food is delicious. My only gripe is that when I visited today was quite loud and more appropriate for a club. What a shame!!!
S. C.
Good value for money. Friendly staff. Variety of meals to choose from. Victim of their own success though. Very small premises.
E. B.
Saturday 20:45, amazing night.
B. M.
On the whole distinctly average. Location great, singing wasn’t. Strangled my cat when I got home - sums up their Sinatra experience.
R. M.
Absolutely excellent food, very authentic Italian feel, atmosphere was wonderfully buzzing, and Giuseppe himself is a gentleman! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone - brilliant food, brilliant service, brilliant restaurant!
C. M.
Food is amazing and very authentic. Service can be a little slow but staff are very friendly and it's a relaxed atmosphere.
B. N.
Crab and lobster ravioli is delicious, house white is very drinkable and ambiance is quite positive. I approve.
The only drawback - can be packed at times.
L. N.
Old school Italian. The owner sings and plays guitar to entertain the dinners. Pictures of the owner with famous people on the wall. Also do gluten free pasta.
C. H.
Jolly italian resturant. Not amazing food, but good and filling. Opens late, large italian menu. Staff do karaoke on the weekends!
D. H.
All the restaurants in the area were busy so we were lucky to get in but were a bit cramped under the stair. Old-fashioned but tasty Italian food.
C. I.
We booked our company Christmas party at these fabulous Italian restaurant and everyone was very happy for the food the service and the entertainment. A special mention to Giuseppe the Owner who couldn't do enough for us.
P. R.
Best Italian London even filmed Brigette Jones there
M. H.
Nice, except the "fresh crab and avocado salad" starter was " fresh crab STICK and avocado salad, not good for it's £10 price tag! At least they removed it from the bill when I brought it to their attention.
c. c.
lovely atmosphere , tasty food, huge portions,
z.
Great small Italian place. No pizza, but everything else they have is delicious. Authentic with Italian staff and a guy singing Sinatra from time to time.
