I had an amazing time on Monday with my mum to enjoy my belated Birthday celebration… The staff was super friendly and made us feel so welcome, we was given the best non alcoholic cocktails on arrival, we really enjoyed the food compliments to the chef. All staff members had masks on and the service was brilliant. I ordered a pizza but it was to much for me so I got a take away bag! Mum enjoyed her evening too. 10/10 can’t wait to return

Beautiful Italian in Marylebone. The buratta is divine, it simply melts in your mouth and pizzas so fresh and tasty. All ingredients are of premuim quality. Great service. Staff are very welcoming.

I have to say: I'm a qualified, certified and registered MSC. That said, my wife and I absolutely loved our experience here today. We had a table reserved and despite a little mixup, the service, atmosphere and food were superb. I can't remember the last time I received 4 perfectly cooked lamb chops @Med/Rare and have them kept so until I finished my plate. Well done Front and back line staff at Il bareto, you are a credit to the owner and yoh will be seeing us again soon. Sidenote: Some reviewers complain about being rushed or reminded of the 2hr table guideline, we never experienced any of that. Even as they were prepping tables for larger groups to arrive they didn't make us feel rushed in any way nor did we get asked, told or requested in regards to said 2hrs. Our table was available earlier than expected as we showed up 30 mins prior to res and we stayed for about 1hr 40mins.

A really lovely meal, and raved about the tuna tartare for a few days after, but service was quite slow and we probably could have been happier with few more bottles of wine if they'd been a bit more attentive.

Great food and an ok cocktail. I found it odd that such a nice restaurant had a TV showing sports, but it was just in the bar area upstairs. I didn't have a reservation, so I sat at the counter overlooking the stairs. It was fine spot for one person. I thought the service was fast and friendly, and overall would recommend eating here. Might come back and try the pizza or risotto!

Fantastic little restaurant, nestled away just opposite Chiltern Firehouse. Il Baretto is a 'must visit' for my Middle Eastern clients when they are in town. The food is top drawer and the service is excellent. I would highly recommend a visit and the Lobster Spaghetti is not to be missed!

Wow, loved this place. The EV olive oil and balsamic to dip bread is so gorgeous, I had to buy a bottle of the oil to take home. We had the lunch set menu. Here's a pic of the burratta and the baby squid starters. The pasta is sublime too. My Singapore Sling cocktail was beautifully made and perfect. I'll definitely go a la carte next time. It's expensive but so worth it.

Only came for a quick drink, asked if we could be seated outside and was told that outside was reserved for diners only but we could seat there until they needed the table back in which case they would move us inside. Which wasn't a problem at all as we only wanted one drink. As soon as we sat down, the hostess asked if she could bring me a stool to prop up leg as it was in a cast. So you can't fault me if I say the service was excellent and attentive. Wine selection was good and the food our neighbouring diners were eating looked delicious.

The basement is either lively or noisy depending on one's own acceptance limit for decibels. On a busy evening expect to shout at your companion/s. The food was very good but be careful, the portions (at least in our case) were generous. We had courgette fritters (*****) and bruschetta (****) as starters followed by excellent pizzas. It was a fight that my wife lost and I only won due to brave disregard for my stomach saying ‘Enough’. The wine list is extensive (or should that be expansive?) but prices are mostly eye watering. Having said that, we found a perfectly acceptable Chardonnay for about £35. In contrast to some other reviewers the staff who served us could not have been nicer. If you are after Italian food that does not look and taste, as if it has come from a second-rate supermarket, this is definitely worth a try.

Mediocre food, okay service. The only thing that grabbed our attention was the Prosecco. Other than that I’ve had much better Italian in a cosier place. Dinner for 4 with bottle of Prosecco and a glass of wine came about £350+. Mind you we were not feasting.

Re-review of this popular local Italian. Table for 4pax, Saturday night, raring to go. Carpaccio then lobster pasta and veal chop. Pizza bread to start. Hugely impressed. Fabulous wine list, I Brough one of my own for £30 corkage, then spent £1000 on 3-bottles of theirs. Wine service excellent. Question? If a punter spends £1000 on your wines, plus service on top, is it mean to then ask for the £30 corkage? I'll just let that hang. Re-review scores 4x, tables a bit close, not cheap... Nice though.

My canelloni was tasteless. Too noisy and uncomfortable seating. Got the order wrong so we had to wait for replacement. Bottle of beer expensive, and all overpriced. On the positive, pizza was ok. Zucchini was good. Decor is ok.

Great Italian food. The burrata is excellent and brought in from Puglia every other day. The prosciutto is also top notch: great flavor and not too salty. The pasta with truffle is creamy and well made, al sentence. Their tiramisu is also very yummy. The taste of mascarpone III a will balanced with cream. The service is great and everyone I interacted with speaks Italian. I'll definitely come back next tine in in London

The food was lovely, wine pricey (the markup is I guess what you expect in London). Ruined by the incessant dance music they were playing upstairs. It was so strange...really. It's interesting reading over the mixed reviews - seems like some have a great experience and some terrible at Il Baretto. For my wife and I, our pre movie dinner was quite satisfying. I loved my calzone that came with a tasty mozzarella salad. My raspberry mojito was excellent as well. Service seemed friendly and swift - maybe not the best I've ever had, but better than average. Only drawback was it's slightly pricey, but given the neighborhood it's certainly not as expensive as others in the area.

Whoever said London is not known for their food has never been to Barrafina... authentic Spanish tapas that blow similar places in New York out of the water can be found here.. even the wine they suggested was outstanding.. I would describe each dish separately if it weren't for the fact that each plate we ordered was phenomenal.. can't go wrong here.. everything is fresh and delicious.. there is usually a wait but it is well worth it

Being married to an Italian foodie you learn what are the safe spots in London to have good quality. Il Baretto is not a chaotic pizzeria or trattoria but a nice and friendly restaurant with a good set of options to enjoy typical Italian courses. Also good for a last drink late in the evening.
