Absolutely sublime place. Energetic and enthusiastic staff, all Italian and potentially all from the same family! Small independent place with an amazing selection of food and drink. Really great with kids and even put a twist on a typical pizza for him on our visit. Lovely to see the owners and their kids living and operating the business, feels like you are in Italy itself. Wonderful and very worth a visit. The box of cards to choose your desert is a very unique touch, which I adored as it just simply adds to the experience

Absolutely gorgeous food. Seriously need to book a table to make sure you can get in though. A tiny, family run place, lovely atmosphere, good wine list and so nice to see an alternative to the usual pironi beer on offer. If we're back in the area this is definitely worth coming back to. Couldn't fault anything.

My partner chose this restaurant for us to have a date night in and I have to say this is one of the best restaurants I have visited in a very long while. Excellent place if you want to try proper Sicilia food. We didn't try pizza, so can't speak about that, but the 2 versions of pane Cunzato were astounding, tasty, and proper. The Cannolo is a must! Very responsive and energetic staff, gentle and attentive. As an Italian myself, I felt at home. Definitely somewhere I'll come back to.

Guys, I am Italian and I could not recommend this restaurant more. It’s absolutely DIVINE. It’s quite difficult to find authentic Italian restaurants in London (many of them are English-friendly, the recipes aren’t original, and the ingredients aren’t that good). This is TRUE and AUTHENTIC. Not only that, but the staff is extremely lovely and friendly. In particular, I’ve been stunned by the professional, welcoming and extremely warm service from Armando, the restaurant manager. He made sure that the whole experience was impeccable. Plus, he cracks the best jokes! Once again, you MUST go!

If you're looking for authentic Italian food this is the perfect place. Portions are really good, food is fresh and delicious. Me and my boyfriend had the typical pane cunzato as an appetiser, then pizza and then a limoncello. They have kinds of pizza that you don't see around all pizzerias in London, and this also shows on how authentic this place is. The staff there is extremely nice and attentive and we can't wait to go back to try appetisers and other pizzas! Beer is also one of the best beers we've had recently (the Baladin). Really really recommended if you're looking for one of the best Italian restaurants in London. P.s. me and my boyfriend are Italian, so I know what I'm talking about! 😜

This place has the most authentically Italian food outside of Italy - it's absolutely delicious! I was a bit hesitant in ordering Carbonara since you can get it pretty much anywhere but I'm so glad I did because their dishes stay true to Sicilian recipes. Their carbonara isn't made with cream but instead only egg yolks so it's a bit heavy, be sure to share it. Rudy and Armando were so incredibly kind and made sure we had a fabulous time celebrating our friend's birthday. Be sure to book in advance though because it's quite a small/cozy place.

I celebrated by birthday here last week with a large party of 13 people. The staff were extremely accommodating when making the booking as it was originally going to be for a smaller number which I really appreciated. When there, the food was absolutely superb and the staff went above and beyond to look after us - including a few birthday surprises. The pizza was absolutely delicious and the chocolate pudding can definitely be recommended! I will definitely be coming back!

Today I visited Pane Cunzato for the second time (I have been there once before lockdown #2). The location is quite convenient if you are shopping or visiting the British Museum as it's literally five minutes walking distance. Pizza is absolutely amazing, same for pane cunzato. Today I had the classic one, last time I tried the one with mortadella and bufala and was extremely delicious. They also have a beer I have never tried before, called Nazionale, which is now my new favorite beer. The place is very nice and super clean and the staff friendly, professional and ready to answer all your questions if you are not familiar with sicilian food. Highly recommended, I will definitely come back!

Poor service. I stumbled across this restaurant with my family after visiting the British Museum. The location of the restaurant is very near the museum and is in central London. The staff were nice enough to accommodate the five of us by adding a chair but splitting us up into a three and two table. However, after that the service was poor. On my table of three they had taken our orders for drinks and food yet my drinks had not arrived until we asked the waitress (the drinks on the table of two had received theirs). Next, the food arrived on my table a lot quicker (20mins?) than the table with two. So my table had to wait for the other table to finish eating. On a positive note, the food was quite nice. The special pizza they had on today was a white pizza with grated ham, mushrooms, cheese and a fried egg on top. The crust was very soft yet subtly crispy, just like the pizzas i have tried in Italy. The lasagne I had was nice too, maybe a bit small in size. Overall, a poor service but the food was good.

We read good references and we booked a table for Sunday dinner. The place is nice and they have good service, the only issue was that they didn’t have all the dishes/beers. We had chicken salad, 4 formaggio pizza and Nutella calzone. Everything was really good, the salad was normal but the other two were amazing.

I was in the need of a pizza and I decided to try this place. I have to admit that I was afraid of getting out of my “pizza zone of comfort” (also, being in such a touristic area), but... god damn it was the right choice! They have a decent variety of pizzas at really good price for a place 2 seconds away from the British museum. The 4 cheese pizza is very tasty, strategically placing the ingredients within the thinnest part, and with an smooth fluffy crust for the bread-lovers. The “pane cunzato” is clearly their flagship dish, and at least the one we had (“Salciccia”) was amazingly flavorful, balanced, crispy and not too heavy. They also have a number of traditional desserts, but the pistaccio tiramisú is a must-try. In all, the good food, the cozy and tasteful ambiance, the friendly service and the fair price does nothing but to make of the Pane Cunzato a win. You just have to try this place.

Although some pasta dishes were nice, the members of the staff were pushing to buy adult portions for children older than 3 (portions considered too small otherwise). Visited for lunch. The restaurant has amazing service with energetic and passionate staff who are willing to have a chat and provide their personal recommendations to orders. The prices however are quite expensive too some simple plates which was quite disappointing. I may not particularly visit again due to the price.

I recently visited the place that I found through Tastecard. It is an absolute jewel in the busy area around Holborn. The food was great, the very cheer-full waitress explained the name of the place and the traditional food variations they have. Made this very interesting. A very cosy atmosphere that makes you feel very happy and relaxed. The wines were a bit light for my taste although we tried two different ones.

Summary - Great food, great wine, great beer, great service. We came here for a late evening anniversary meal on Saturday (12th June). I had the special pasta and the other half had a Pane Cunzato. Both were lovely and some of the best food we have tasted in a long time. Rudy recommended a great wine (which even I liked and I don't do wine). In regards to the service, this was the best service I've had ever. Rudy was attentive, funny and very polite. He really went the extra mile and nothing was to much trouble. A bit of a let down after reading the reviews. The pecorino starter, mozarella pizza and service were excellent. However, the side salad was not even dressed and consisted only of wilted lettuce. Had a perfectly nice pizza here. The restaurant itself is a little cramped. We were offered a central table despite there seeming to be quite a lot of free tables and the staff were often squeezing past the back of my chair. Not a big deal but a bit annoying. My pizza was nice, the base is fantastic - the flavour had developed nicely and it was airy and light. The toppings were a slight let down though. Of the three toppings on my pizza I could only taste one most of the time. I tried a friends that had pistachio pesto on it and I thought that would taste more interesting but it was fairly bland. I do like strong flavours though, maybe this is their style. Drinks were too expensive for us on a casual lunch but the staff were nice and attentive and tap water was provided with a smile. I would eat here again, the base was delicious - I just need to find the right toppings!

My husband and I had dinner at this restaurant two days ago. We were immediately struck by the warm atmosphere and the kind staff. We let ourselves be advised and we tried the aubergine's parmigiana and the warm pane cunzato, a typical dish of Sicilian cuisine. Great food, excellent quality ingredients. A wonderful surprise. We'll come back some other night before going to the theater.

The food is surprisingly good here. The fresh pasta was done al dente and was delicious. The pizza is also good. Very much no frills and simple place. The service was OK, but I really didn’t appreciate the surprise service fee on the bill which was not expected or explained and ruined it for me. A place to remember for when I go back to London. The place is quite small, so not too noisy and gives a friendly atmosphere. Very friendly staff. The food is very tasty and it was the very first restaurant in which I discovered the Pane cun zato (definitely worth trying). Nice sicilian restaurant near the British museum. They really make the "pane cunzato", that is a particular kind of bread, with a circular shape and filled with different ingredient that you can choose. There are also other typical foods and my partner took a very good lasagna. For the place and the quality of food this restaurant is not expensive at all. Nice choice :)

First time in this restaurant, really pleased with food and the atmosphere. The only small disappointment was about the mushrooms which where stated in the menu as "Porchini mushrooms" but where actually simply chestnut mushrooms. Overall the food was really good so it's better to put in the menu the right ingredients to prevent disappointments! Will go back to try other options

But my best news was that the bread (pane) is made with the old ancient tumminia flour something that you can not find easy in London and in Europe Italy included because tumminia flour it's typically from Sicily, healthy and tasty. The Classic pane cunzato elevate the best genuine ingredient of Sicily... Try to ask just Sicilian ingredients for your pane cunzato... Maybe should be simple but effective...

We started with a selection of traditional Sicilian pane cunzato bread (parma ham, parmigiana, and mortadella) which were all delicious, plus some filled courgette flowers and arancini which were also very tasty.
