Had been wanting to go here for ages! Well worth the wait, staff were attentive and pleasant. Beer was cold and crisp. But the pizza.....Well the quality of ingredients plus the fun size options (1/2 a meter upwards etc) make it a great sharing experience with friends. It was a busy night during their September offer but unfortunately it took us 50 minutes to get our mains. I understand it is busy but for example the waiting staff should have told us about the wait. Also nobody came to check on us during the long wait and walked past so many times. The food made up for it, I would have given it 4 stars if it weren’t for the incident. The pasta with prawn, clams and mussels was very good. Perhaps one of the best pastas I’ve had in London. That dish was unforgettable and I’d definitely recommend it. Incident: two different waiting staff came and chase me and my friend separately when we had just left the restaurant (we went separate ways), accusing us for not having paid the bill. It was ridiculous. We had paid the bill with another colleague of theirs and they should of checked before he accused us of this. You have great food but please work on your service. PS it was so loud I had a headache

Metro 🍕 one of the only places that serves pizza by the metre without. This place is just hidden off the high street of the busy bustling Clapham. The Italian restaurant serves the usual delicious cuisine pasta's and antipasta however the main thing here are pizza. The Naples style pizza here is really good and well worth the visit to try. At Pizza metro they serve a variety if pizza even the hard to find burata (creamy cheese in a ball). Highly recommend the Buratina pizza. Definitely recommended especially for a big group of friends.👌

Fantastic pizza napoletana, one of the best in London. I have been here many times, last time a couple of weeks ago, I had a calzone (called "ripieno"). Really delicious, with ham and ricotta. Top!! I highly recommend.

Deliveroo could not complete my order and wherever the blame lay is not relevant, what did matter is how Diego, owner of this Italian restaurant dealt with me, the hungry, annoyed customer . Visited last night (Sunday) as we noticed the 2 for 1 pizza deal and I think I've now tasted one of the best pizzas in my life!! Had a pizza with mushrooms and truffle oil and it was absolutely delicious - 10/10 (and I'm very particular about my food)! The service is so friendly too, will absolutely be back!

We were close to 20 people. Not easy to serve with that many at the same time. They tried. Our 1 metre pizza (between 2 yes I know very greedy) was OK. It all depends on what you order. But not bad as an experience. We went as a large family party but I wouldn't travel that far for it as we did. It was >£30 a head incl. 2 bottles of wine, coffee, etc. 1 metre pizza looks amazing.

I left the cornices only because they were burned, otherwise there wouldn't have been a crumb left on the plate - I normally don't really eat cornices and still feel satisfied. I think this place is amazing. The place is just buzzing and has an incredibly warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff are really attentive, friendly and make you feel like you're the only people dining in the restaurant. Which is some feat as it's usually pretty busy. The pizza is some of the best pizza you'll have in London. You can get your usual individual pizzas but they also bring huge sharing pizzas to the table depending on what you order - it's a pretty amazing sight to behold and it tastes even better than it looks.

Excellent food and service. Pizza's are really nice and the atmosphere can be hectic but it's got a nice feel to it. The gluten base is better than the normal base (I tried my Mrs gf pizza) . The mozzarella bites to start we're amazing and very filling. We got the left overs of our mains to go because we were stuffffffffed. Toilet facilities could do with a revamp. All in all... I do recommend and will be back.

This has been a favourite gathering place for my group of friends for years! As we've dispersed across the country, this is our go to place. The food is fantastic, really lovely pizzas. The novelty of having a single pizza out that's the size of the table still makes me chuckle! Staff are very friendly, service is good, food is excellent. You won't be disappointed! I recommend booking in advance, although we've recently been on a Saturday evening and managed to get a table short notice no issue.

Great service and food. A friend recommended this restaurant, stating it 'served the best pizza he had ever eaten.' I enjoyed three types of pizza, fresh ingredients and so tasty. Complimented by addictive olives and a crispy green salad. The dessert consisted of something that resembling nutella-filled profiteroles - so yummy. It is one of the best Italian restaurant I've ever been to, and definitely the best I tried in London. Classical themed pizzeria situated in Battersea with a rustic and warming vibe. We were served by amiable staff who assigned us to an appropriate size table since we were ordering the meter pizza (for 2 people) and were enthusiastic and well mannered throughout our visit. True Italians tossed and created topped stunningly appealing pizzas we could see as we waited for the climatual experience followed by them being cooked in their grand charcoal pizza oven. After only waiting 5-10mins....yes only 5-10minutes! Our humongous pizza were assigned to our table and the aroma engulfed our senses and began almost straight away! The taste of the margertia was astonishingly good and ate every last morsel of the margertia but the four cheese was somewhat good but found that the flavour wasn't that pleasant as I thought and the pizza dough in general was quite chewy and lacked moisture however the toppings itself were fine. The 2 desserts I had were the chocolate mousse and the strawberry ice cream; they were certainly positively adequate to conclude the meal however the price was harshly high for the quantity. For example 1 little scoop of ice cream cost £2 and a small chocolate mousse cost £6!? Yes, this in London but come on, a little cheaper please? Overall I would give: Taste/quality of products - 4/5 Price of products - 2/5 Atmosphere/location - 4/5 Current promotion (241 pizza only sun and Mon) - possibly could do some more. Would I recommend? Yes - but more as a once or twice off visit as I feel that it's not somewhere to regularly or annually go at all.

My buddies and I go here every few weeks after a few pints. They do some of the best pizza I've had in London, the staff is friendly and on occasion they give us some lemoncello on the house. Good pizza is hard to come by in London but these guys nail it every time. I've walked past Pizza Metro Pizza countless times and never went in until last week. It didn't really entice me for a number of reasons. But mostly the name and exterior design don't really match what it is. From the outside I'd expect a lot of families in there, maybe some kids parties, and I certainly wouldn't expect an authentic wood oven Italian pizza experience - which is what it is. So when I finally did venture in, I was pleasantly surprised, but a bit confused by that choice of design. The staff are excellent, really bubbly and eccentric - however sometimes this detracts from the service. When we first arrived we were sat down and served a drink... Then didn't get a menu till we asked for one about ten minutes later. The waiter was very apologetic that he had forgotten, but it surprised me as he was stood right by us and the restaurant was really quiet. After that though, the service was great, though when any other Italians entered the place they were greeted with huge loud welcomes, and extended conversations which was lovely - but a bit distracting and meant all the wait staff were preoccupied for the next five to ten minutes... Onto the food - this was excellent. Traditional delicious Italian cuisine that I can't fault. The pizza and the pasta are both great, and the cost very reasonable. I would definitely go again, and recommend it as an authentic Italian experience!

The decor is pretty simple but has ample space and windows are wide open so is very well ventilated. atmosphere is quite lively but not defeaning or distracting. Great pleace to eat really good pizza and starters. The pasta was a bit of disappointment compared to the pizza and starters. Staff were really friendly and happy to take photos with the giant pizza's. The manager apprently told us that tastecard does not work in the restraunt when we walked in but we clearly didnt hear that and had to pay. Having said that the pizza's and starters and the teramisu was worth it. The only negative was the manager's reaction in the end to say he told us tastecard was not allowed and then to walk away before we could say anything.

Best pizza in London! No seriously, it is. From the first time I went here I've had dreams about my next visit. I've introduced several friends to it as well and the same thing happens to them... The ingredients they use are amazing and fresh, and the pizza base is perfect. It's always pretty busy, but you never have to wait long as they have amazingly efficient staff who still manage to be friendly. If you enjoy authentic Italian, then get to Pizza Metro as soon as you can, but be prepared to have to come back repeatedly - you've been warned!

Authentic Italian wood fired pizza, fantastic service and the prices are reasonable considering the location. Their claim to fame is the 1 meter long pizza, I went alone so didn't feel up to this challenge, but now I know it's available I might skip breakky and lunch and have a crack at it.

Always busy, booking is advised, Pizza Metro is one of my favourite pizza places in London. Great fun for sharing as the pizzas are all cooked on the same base and is put on a raised platform in the middle of the table for you all to dig in to. Can use the taste card there so makes it really cheap for awesome pizza

Can't fault the quality of the pizzas, they are all excellent, especially the spicy mega one with all the toppings. The pasta is nice but the fish is a let-down. Gets quite noisy because of the boisterous crowd but you don't notice if with your own group of friends.

Pizza served by the metre, freshly made and all cooked together so you'll have several continuous pizzas making up a tray for your table - which is a nice touch. They are generally delicious, however portions are often such that you'll be unable to finish, and this is where the restaurant falls down.......they charge for a 50p for a pizza box to take your pizza home in - and then add 12.5% service on top of this (not to mention the 20% VAT which applies for eat in food). So until this practice stops, this place deserves no more than a zero for service and and whilst is moderately priced I'm rating as Very Expensive and will not be returning,

Pizza Metro is the place to go to if you want to eat real Italian pizza! It is served by the meter, so be prepared to share with your dining mates. You can order different toppings, but my suggestion is to keep simple. The ingredients are good and the dough is perfect; too many toppings won't make your pizza better than it already is! Book in advance if you can, as the restaurant is always full, though service is quick and you won't wait long for a table.

I had T/A from here for the first time during lockdown after walking past and seeing them open and although it’s been on battersea rise for ages I’ve never tried it. Nice pizza, but the decor's a bit naff, the staff are friendly, but inefficient, and the whole table-on-a-table-over-your-plate gimmick is a tad annoying to actually eat from. It looks great, but it's fiddly - there's already a great way to serve pizzas - it's called a plate. But as stated, the pizza is really nice, and while the beer is a tad pricey for what you're getting, there are some good wines on the menu too. Quite nice, but wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again.

As a group of 17, it was a tight squeeze in this Neapolitan pizza restaurant famed for it's "pizza by the metre", and quite noisy too (especially the birthday gong). The pizza is displayed on high stands with four flavours, each allocated a 25cm length. Sadly I didn't appreciate the goat's cheese cross-contamination, but otherwise my sausage, peppers and rocket 25cm pizza was fine, if a bit dry. The best part to me was the starters, a delicious plate of grilled aubergine, courgette, peppers and garlicky greens, and the grilled calamari includes tentacles as well as the more usual rings. At around £11 a pizza and £8 a starter it's not especially good value, but quite enjoyable for the concept.

Went in on a Sunday night, they were doing a buy one pizza get one free deal. Being on my own, two pizzas would have been too much so ordered garlic bread with cheese and a gnocchi special along with a small Peroni. When finished the girl serving asked could she get me a lemonchelo which I gratefully accepted, assuming this was on the house, as is usually the case. When the bill came to £33 I was a little surprised. On checking, my Garlic bread with cheese was £8.95 followed by £4.95 for my lemonchelo and by the time service was added I was paying way over what you would expect for a basic pizza meal for one. Should have done what the couple next to me did, two pizzas with tap water for two, probably paid a third of my price. Mind you, won’t be returning, definitely saw me coming.

Great little pizza joint conveniently located close to Northcote road and Clapham junction. There's normally a good atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. Pizzas come all cooked together and joined up on a raised platform which is a bit gimmicky, but still fun.

I'm a big fan of the pizza. In Pizza Metro they have a variety of pizzas and I believe that If you go there you'll appreciate the nice combination of flavours. You'll even dream about the fresh ingredients, melted cheese and onions. The melted cheese is simply delicious. Usually I make cheese fondues and serve them with dipping cubes of toasted bread or pieces of cooked meat.

Really incredible pizza! Honestly, some really good pizza here. However I hate your new ordering online service, deliveroo or whatever it is, I live 5 minutes away from your restaurant and wasn't able to come in for pizza one evening so wanted to order delivery instead. I called and was told 3 times to go to the website. I could have ordered with the person on the phone and done everything so easy there and then! Instead I'm told to go to some unknown website and order from there, where after registering a new account and then saving credit card details and the rest of my life on this website, I'm then told that I'm not in their delivery area and yet it's less than a five minute drive! The person on the phone could have taken my order in two minutes. The whole process made me think I was going to lose my mind. I'll still go to the restaurant but seriously sort out the delivery function or get rid of it completely.
