Go there with the kids, this restaurant is one of the most kids and family friendly restaurants I’ve been in so far. Staff were super nice, friendly and helpful, one of them help my toddler to calm down when he was upset and I really appreciate it. Food was good, we had spaghetti Bolognese, Calamari, pizza burrata, pizza parmigiana and garlic cheesy bread. Kids love their pasta and we like the pizza.

We were in London and staying in the neighborhood we stumbled upon it by chance...result, pleasant surprise; so pleasant that we returned every evening. Very welcoming little place where the staff makes the difference. Very welcoming and approachable. Excellent food, good pasta, pizza and bruschetta which is a garlic focaccia... maybe a little too much garlic which is found everywhere, but it is a prerogative of London cuisine. Very tasty and very quick! Have already been there twice. Once after 10 p.m. and once around 7 p.m. Even though the restaurant was full, we got our pizza after about 15 minutes! Margherita and seafood calzone. Both were absolutely delicious. The pasta is also very tasty. Absolutely recommended.

We were here for the first time and immediately felt at home, for us Italians, with the knowledge of simple basic English, finding ourselves chatting about this and that in Italian with the staff was a wonderful surprise, not to mention the food, excellent selection of first courses, and also the really good pizza. Handy place. Very honest bill, not to mention cheap for London standards. But beyond the excellent quality of the food, with strictly Italian ingredients, what pushed us to return very willingly was the incredible kindness and helpfulness of the staff (an indispensable ingredient which nowadays is difficult to find anywhere, not just in London). Special note of merit for Lucia and Ralf (or Raul, I'm not sure of the name). We recommend the place to anyone who is in the Clapham area and if we return to London we will definitely return! What can I say? One of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. In this week of London holidays, I stopped at this place 3 times for dinner. Twice I had the Margherita pizza (I like simple ones and this was truly exceptional) and once I had the calzone with tomato, mozzarella and cooked ham. Very good. The staff is courteous, friendly. The place is very quiet. I didn't have the chance to try some of the first courses, because I was fascinated by pizza, but those too will be exceptional. Reasonable and fair prices. They are Italians. Highly recommended!!!!

This place is amazing. Some of the best pizza and pasta I've ever seen. I was doubtful we we're going to get anything too good from this place from the outside. But never judge a book by it's cover has never been so true. I had a pizza here and it was one of the best I've ever had. You could see the make in the kitchen every pizza fresh. It was so authentic and I'd highly recommend. Some of the pasta dishes also looked amazing. In terms of price I was also again surprised. Pizzas we're only about £7 or 8 each which for London was amazing. I can't recommend this place enough for a lovely authentic meal! It's not the most amazing decor but it's some of the nicest well priced food I've had in a while.

Solid Pizza! This place has been going for years and you can see why! They offer great pizza at a decent price. Pasta's are good as well, to be honest can't go wrong with most things on the menu, very quick getting the food to the table and if you go on a sunny day then the big terrace out front facing onto the common is a perfect for eating in the sunshine. I have eaten here many times. Food is lovely, pizza and pasta, and also reasonably priced. The atmosphere is good, and the staff are welcoming. My only criticism would be that I'd like to see more vegetarian options for pizzas and pastas. I always pay cash, and when owed anywhere from £5-£10 change, they ALWAYS give me coins and say 'sorry, we don't have any £5-£10 notes'...a little suspect I think...forcing tips.

This is my favourite place to get Pizza in London! The hospitality is great and the prices are very good value. The pizzas are very tastey with plenty of options to choose from. Wounderful staff. They made us feel welcome right from the start of our two week stay in London. My wife said this was the best spaghetti she has ever had. The pizza was some of the best that I have had. My favorite was the four cheese with mushrooms. I gained 9 lbs in 16 days partly because of the food at this place. Everything was fresh I will miss the olive bowl. We had a lot of places to go eat our last meal in London, we chose on the green.

I love the location of this place! On a nice summer afternoon, the views of Clapham Common that your eyes get to feast on while sitting in the courtyard are amazing. If it is winters though, there is quite a bit of seating on the inside as well. For the last 3yrs, this place has had a board at its entrance which says 'Pizza and pasta HALF PRICE!'. Nice marketing ploy, but I guess the locals know better. ;) Having said that, the food is nice and is definitely value for money. For all you thin-pizza-crust-lovers, you would definitely like this place. The service leaves some scope for improvement, but I would definitely recommend this place, if only for the views of the park! :)

If you're looking for relatively good Italian food at affordable prices, you'll likely be pleased with the Pizzeria on the Green in Clapham. The location is great too as it's a short walk from the Tube though the prices aren't affected by the High Street location. Takeaway pizzas can be ordered in 10 minutes or less and can cost as little as £7. However, the POTG is far from an unknown quantity. As such, the decibel level in the restaurant can reach high levels. So if you're looking for a quiet night with your partner, it may be best to do takeaway. It's best suited for families and parties of four or more in my experience. In any case, give the POTG a shot if you haven't already.
