Reviews of Rossopomodoro Covent Garden
K. P.
Beautiful, fresh Italian food in a warm and cozy atmosphere. One of the best places to eat in London!
B. D.
Really tasty food, good location and nice atmosphere. The service was speedy and friendly. I wish the menus were printed though rather than on phones, makes it less accessible. Wine was good but a little overpriced for a less formal setting like this.
C. J. G.
Looking for an Italian food fix?Look no further when you’re in the Covent Garden area. Attentive staff, fresh and tasty pasta, wood-fired pizzas true to its Neapolitan roots. Highly recommended.
V. R.
Nice Italian place! Pizza and fried pizza were good. They also gave me the Italian gesture vocabulary, which is quite funny :) Loved it!
E.
Nice Italian place serving delicious Napolitan pizzas, as well as other pizza types & pasta plates. We tried Pizza Padellino (higher base squared pizza, soft as a pillow), really good! Staff is always very welcoming and happy to answer any questions you might have. Great place!
C.
We ordered Ragu’ Polpette e Ricotta and Risotto ai Funghi, both taste amazing! Although the risotto’s portion is a little bit small (large but shallow plate); would love to come back and try the other dishes
M. D. B.
Amazing food and service. Very easy booking process. We were served very fast and the food was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! Maybe slightly more expensive than average, but worth every single penny!! Super super recommended!! We'll be returning for sure!
A. B.
Friendly staff, excellent food, excellent value my favourite restaurant during my recent trip to London. The owner asked us to sit inside because of the rain, and lo and behold it started pouring after 20 minutes, a special talent perhaps. Particularly enjoyed the wine, picture attached.
K. C.
Decent - we both had pizzas, one regular and one gluten free. The GF pizza has a great crust! But otherwise the pizza was pretty flavorless. Not a safe environment for celiacs. Also surprised to have two additional charges on our bill without prior warning - a 12.5% service charge and a charity donation. Would be easier better to mention these in an obvious place on the menu or something so you don't feel blindsided.
R. B.
Great Pizza though a little pricey just under £60 for two pizzas a glass of wine and a small beer
N. P.
I Recommend This Restaurant because they have amazing pasta and desserts it is absolutely delicious and it's not far away from Park plaza westminster bridge
B. “.
A warm welcome in this relaxed Italian. Friendly and attentive staff who couldn’t do enough to help. Delicious selection of classic Italian dishes, flavoursome & generous. Don’t leave without trying the doughnut! 😋
L.
Food was lovely, we had a very tasty and proper Italian pizza and a nice starter (focaccia). Staff was good and friendly. We will definitely go back.
A. C.
We popped in when we saw their outside seating just to grab a few drinks. After seeing how nice everyone’s food was on their tables, we decided to order. Our server was Sharon. She helped us choose what to order and was so lovely! An absolute asset to the team. Highly recommend their cocktails too. It’s nice to have a drink where you can actually taste the alcohol but also has the flavour too.
V. J.
Fantastic Italian restaurant, the food was absolutely delicious and the service couldn't be faulted. The seating outside was great, will definitely be going back.
R. S.
Swung by for a mid-week meal and am always impressed with how fresh and tasty everything is here. Great service, really knowledgeable staff/waiters and with a great menu selection of food and drinks that has all the variety you need without being too busy. I had a Negroni and a Capricciosa outside in the sun amongst the flowers. The street it's located on is so peaceful, just off a main drag, close enough to the action of the city but far enough from the chaos. The portion sizes are amazing, so come hungry!
E. V.
We had our Xmas party here! Amazing place! The waiter was extraordinary taking care of us! We enjoyed it so much the food and the ambiance. Absolutely fabulous restaurant and most importantly, super delicious and quite a lot of varieties of food!
A. G.
Good choice of gluten free dishes. Good drinks
C. P.
Stunning pizzas and delicious wines.
I had the 5 cheese pizza and it was heaven on a plate.
Staff were lovely and friendly too.
It was full of Italians - that’s got to be a fab sign!
Loved it.
J. M.
We had a lovely meal the pizzas were amazing, the pasta dishes were really good, the chicken thighs the mushrooms and roast potatoes dish was so flavoursome, would recommend a visit.
O. G.
Lovely freshly prepared food with fresh ingredients. Friendly staff and a warm atmosphere too. Thrilled we have found this restaurant and will definitely be back.
P. W.
Genuine 5 star review. Excellent Italian cuisine, some of the best Pizza dough I have had outside of Italy. Hugely attentive staff that managed to fit us in during their peak time. Great food and even better service.
J. B.
Delicious & authentic Italian cuisine. Stay is extremely friendly and professional.
R. H. O.
Had a great dinner with friends - cocktail could have been improved on... But food was good and a great ambiance.
J. C.
Great, fresh, tasty Italian food. some of the independent Italian restaurants are really hit and miss in London. This is a restaurant where everything will taste good. The star of the show was the burrata pancetta and wild mushroom starter, it was amazing and set the tone for the rest of the meal. The environment is busy, and relaxed. Perfect for a casual date.
R. G.
A lovely restaurant tucked away in Covent Garden with excellent Italian food. The service front the staff is exemplary!! Will definitely visit again! 👍🏿
A. S.
Had a great experience this lunchtime on our company Christmas meal out. Armando and the team were faultless, great attentive service and the pizzas were wonderful. Would highly recommend.
M. A.
Absolutely delicious! A near perfect Italian experience in London. The Italian staff are all so friendly, attentive and a pleasure to chat to. The spaghetti carbonara was to die for, and the donut dessert with Nutella and icecream was heavenly. Our new favourite Italian food place!
J. C.
So good. So so good! You would think pizza can't be messed up, but it can on so many levels. Not here though, these guys truly know how to do pizza.
I had the gluten free crust and even that was very delicious. The restaurant is comfortable, the staff are great and they really take pride in their food. We actually found this place because a friend recommended it and we were not disappointed.
We ordered Massese with regular crust and one with gluten free crust. We also had Provola e Gialla and Lasagnelle Pizza. All were very very good! From the crust, to the sauce, to the meat and cheese, the pizzas are put together very well. I would come here again if I could.
C. P.
Excellent Italian pizza with Italian ingredients taken directly from origin. Everything is respecting the Neapolitan traditional way of making food and pizza. If you like Italian way that's an excellent choice at decent price.
C. P.
We came to Rossopomodoro Covent Garden today for lunch. The team were very helpful to help accommodate us without a booking and arrange a table suitable for us and the babies. The food was delicious and food was excellent. Special mention for the man at reception, who was extra helpful.
K. M.
Amazing food, staff were so welcoming! The atmosphere was so inviting. The service was excellent and nothing was at fault. We will definitely be be back! Thank you
P. L.
Me and my girlfriend visit this restaurant on a regular basis. One of our favourite Italian Restaurant in the whole of London.
If you are in this area, and you love sourdough pizza and great pasta, make sure to check this place out.
B. E.
Serena was lovely, and made my friend "Daria's" birthday even that more special. The food was delicious and fresh and you could smell the fresh basil across the room. Atmosphere is is calming and music is low enough to make conversation. The whole staf were so welcoming and we will definitely be returning
M. J.
Authentic Italian cuisine. Having recently returned from a trip to Italy where we thoroughly enjoyed the food, it was great to see a items on the menu that were extremely similar to those that we had while there. We were a party of 5 who ordered starters to share and 5 pizzas, all of which were as good as we were hoping for. Service was efficient and friendly.
G. T.
Delightful restaurant that embodies warm Italian hospitality with vibrant flavours and varied choices. They are passionate about the dining experience.
Their Neapolitan pizzas are delicious- big enough for two to share with a salad and dessert, or solo, served with chili & garlic oils. The carbonara pasta is lovely too! Ample vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices.
Nice wine and cocktail selection (get a bottle!!)
Impeccable service: they recruit and train very friendly people who listen well, and are determined to please.
Their outside trattoria is perfect on a warm summer evening, as the parade of pedestrians passes, (unless there is someone smoking beside you- very Italian). Inside, it is boisterous and convivial, but less suited to intimate romantic suppers or involved business discussions.
About a 5 minute walk from Leicester Square tube station.
Check their website for promotions and seasonal specials.
I ♥️ ROSSOPOMODORO‼️

This place literally had the best pizza I've ever tasted. You can tell that when the chefs are creating these pizzas that they do it with LOADS of Italian love!
I got the special of the day (I don't recall what it was) but it was absolutely amazing. I tried my wife's gluten free pizza and I was even surprised to find that even THAT was delicious!
The staff were fantastic. Perfect examples of Italians that love food. Food loving Italians may just be the best people in the world... but don't tell them I said that because they'll whole heatedly agree and wonder why the rest of the world doesn't think so too! ;-)
Any time I'm in London, this place is one I will visit EVERY time.
L. M.
Decent Italian with plenty of space inside and and a few nice tables outside. My 16 yo loved her tomato penne and my meatball pasta was tasty enough. I didn't put my glasses on when chosing a glass of vino and ended up with the most expensive glass of Chianti I've ever had. It was delicious though! Bonus points for friendly staff.
B. G.
Great steak house
Deliciously tasting food
Cocktails gr8
Staff are adorable and very welcoming
A. H.
Overall I did enjoy this restaurant but there were many things regarding the food that I didn't enjoy. I had a pizza with ham but the dough was slightly soggy, almost wet. My mother had a fairly expensive lasagna, but the the tomato puree was too strong and parts of the lasagna sheets were dry, as if they were undercooked.
However, the service was quick and the waiter was very nice. The starter we shared with bread, mozzarella slices and tomato was very nice and we'll presented.
Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for a quick bite, but not if you're looking for a 5 star fancy meal.

Shout out to Rossopomodoro Coven Garden! We visited late afternoon on Sunday 5th September. Our first time in London since the pandemic and we were understandably 😟. Also had my 9 month old grandson with me. Food was delicious but the staff were excellent, welcoming friendly and efficient. Five stars!!!
F. A.
I enjoyed the one inside John Lewis (Oxford Circus) more than the one in Covent Garden. It did feel like we had margheritas made with random ingredients thrown on top last minute. I didn't enjoy the raw onions, spinach and veg on top. The service however was lovely
J. v. U.
Pizza as it should be to me:
*With a good crunchy and edible crust.
*good tomatosaus
-flavoursome toppings.
* -bottom was a tiny bit undercooked
We were seated with the crowd, asked for a table next to the window; no problem.
They have some local and Italian beers.
Tables, cutlery and glasses were clean.
Waiter gave us the wrong drinks but was instantly corrected by his manager.
Downside is the price though: for a pizza place it's pretty expensive. Pizza is meant to be a flavoursome and filling meal and consists of dough and some ingredients set atop of it. Doesn't need a 3-star chef to appear.
Conclusion: nice dinner, but price quality is overrated.
z. s.
Very nice Italian restaurant. I had one of the best and tastiest pizza ever. I am guessing this place can enter under the category of romantic restaurants.
I really enjoyed the service there which was polite and not pushing.
E.
Good food. delivery available dine in avilable .
B. L.
Lovely meal, friendly helpful staff on what was a very busy Saturday lunch. Can highly recommend the food here.
P. P.
One of the best, authentic Italian restaurants in London! Highly recommended. Their cocktails are also amazing. Definitely worth a visit.
M. W.
Pre-booked table, arrived on time & was ready for us on busy Saturday. 1st class sourdough pizzas most importantly however the friendly service & atmosphere matched it. Was also quick service. The pizza chefs were happy for my son & I to watch them make & cook our lunch which made it even more fun!
M. R.
Than you Armando, you are a great host and made my evening very nice even it I was having my dinner alone.... the table at the center of the stage (and montepulciano) made me feel at home. Thanks again for the service. Marco from belgravia!
c.
Amazing pizza, friendly staff and great location.
H. G.
What a pleasant surprise! I have gone past Rossopomodoro many times but never given it much thought as I try to avoid chains, boy was I wrong. This place really is quite authentic, all the staff spoke Italian and I suspect was Italian, the pizzas were very delicious and their service was also top notch. Not the cheapest pizza around but very worth the money.
c. A.
Best pizza ever 😋
Carbonara made the proper way.
Table service excellent.
We had a lovely meal here.
Thank you to all concerned 🙂
I. S.
They make very good pizzas and parts here. Staff is quite cool and friendly too. I just wouldn't recommend you going on Friday date the because the music gets a bit loud but still very cool.
S. H.
Good choice on the menu and helpful friendly staff. Wine is wayyyy over priced though and portion size isn’t the biggest. Food is good, nothing outstanding but will go back to try again.
M. M.
Reserved a table for 8pm two weeks in advance and yet still had to wait 20mins for the table. The Gnocchi and the Panna cotta was good but if you haven't had the Friarielli before, it might not be what you are expecting.
K. P. A.
When arrived- full house, it was a good sign! Authentic Italian place, having Italian waiters. A litte wait for the food, but it was worth. Not massive portions. Enjoyed the place a lot
E. G.
Hearty pizzas. 2 vegan pizza options with vegan cheese. Vegan dessert options also - sorbet, chocolate sorbet and chocolate 'balls'. You don't get much garlic bread per portion however! Cocktails are good sized.
G. Q.
Decent Italian food here and more likely to get a walk-in table even if you haven't booked. The food is nice and tasty, the specials can sometimes be hit or miss but the classic menu is fine if you're just coming in for a bite. The staff here are friendly and fully of energy which is nice, a nice place to go if you're tired of the standard Pizza Express and Ask Italian menus.
C. L.
I've been coming here for a couple of years, ever since my Italian friend introduced me to 'propper pizza'. The quality and freshness of ingredients are a perfect match to the love and heartyness in each pizza, every mouthful is incredible and always leaves me very excited to go back! Yes it is not the cheapest of places but you are paying for taste, quality, tradition, lovely staff and a happy and relaxed atmosphere!
T. T.
Very friendly staff, clean and delicious pastas. Best Gnocchis in London. ❤️ Cooked real Italian style.
A. C. H.
We ordered their diavola, ziti pasta and the kids menu; they’re all great! Great atmosphere too, the setting is casual but doesn’t come as cheap or tacky
M. A. A.
Best gluten free pizza I ever tasted go eyes closed
S. F.
Such a great buzz in this restaurant.
The food is great - the pizza is criminally underrated.
The staff are fantastic.
There are a lot of options which are gluten free and suitable for coeliacs - they have a separate oven for gluten free pizzas etc.
A. A.
Authentic Italian food. Amazing staff. Best mozzarella in town with fresh weekly arrival. In the last 5 years, I visited almost every week and it never disappoints! If there were 6 stars, I would have given 6!
M. T.
I like this place and the staff is very friendly and the service is quick too. It could be very crouded over the weekend, but if you book your table in advance, you'll definitely find it ready on time. Pizza is amazing, plenty of options to choose from: regular, gluten free, multigrain, stuffed and folded, high in proteins and fibre, stuffed and fried..
L. M.
Fabulous place.. fabulous food.. fabulous treatment..fabulous cocktails.. Italian service at its finest.
Grazie. 01.01.22
S. A.
I did tried their tiramisu , it tasted good , I expected more but the staff were very friendly and sweet
V. L.
Food was decent and on par with their other Camden branch. As usual the sparkling peach wine (Peschella) was awesome. However the staff were not as welcoming and were pretty stingy with the chilli oil (they left the bottle at our table begrudgingly and hastily took it away before we were finished with it). I’ll go back to Rossopomodoro, just not this branch.
A. B.
Great Italian food and a great PLUS: gluten free pizzas and great desserts!!!
M. N.
Everything was fantastic. I got the Bolognese, my wife got the pesto pasta. Be sure to save room for the Calda Calda for dessert. Trust me! Just get it.
G. P.
After a year of lockdown, booking at Rossopomodoro was my prerogative. I have been attending this restaurant for years; it has never disappointed me.
Everything's perfect here. Welcoming and friendly environment.
Always top service, customer care and fantastic food; All the time!
From pasta to pizza, it is impossible to be disappointed.
I find the pizza amazing—the best Italian quality in London. Everything is always perfect and cared for in detail.Cocktails are spatial. They make to perfection with an up-to-date selection of wines and prosecchi.
I always have brought friends, colleagues and have never been disappointed by anything. Anyone who asks me after going to dinner or lunch to enjoy some excellent Italian food, always fresh and always prepared to perfection, Rossopomodoro is my place of reference for any occasion or moment.
F. B.
Everything was OUTSTANDING. The food is delicious, service is excellent. Loved the whole experience!
K. G.
Friendly staff, quick service, delicious food and reasonable prices for central London. Highly recommended.
a. d.
Very tasty pizza, nice place!
N. L.
Was there on the 2/5/2021.
Had late lunch/early supper with some friends after lockdown. Could not have chosen a better restaurant. The food was awesome and the STAFF just made so special. What a great place as it was my first time out dining. Will definitely be back soon. Thank you all very much. Nita
F.
Very friendly the service is excellent. High quality of pizza. I been there many times, for sure I will be back soon.
A.
Stumbled across this gem on a Saturday afternoon. Extremely friendly staff who were able to squeeze us in with no reservation. One of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time!
J. B.
Very busy
E. F.
Had the Parmigiani, Taglietelle Bolognese and Tiramisu alla Nutella and all were great. Very kind service and quick too.
G. H.
Had a lovely bit of lunch here. Food was fresh and tasty, service was great. Definitely worth popping in!
R. H.
Definitely my favourite Italian in central London! The last week has been a truly epic return to the hospitality industry opening up post lockdown. They've decorated their al fresco dining area so tastefully and the team are so friendly and kind - true Italians! I'll be back!
R. c.
Amazing pizzas ( which is very difficult to find in London, but this place does it very well).
Went with friends and we had an amazing evening.
Staff is incredibly friendly and was always making sure we were ok with everything. Very attentive service!
I would definitely recommend and I would definitely go back!
L. P.
Great atmosphere, great food and pizza is delicious.

10/10 Absolutely amazing! I came here on Friday (2days ago) the food was brilliant they even made a heart shaped pizza for us!
The customer service was amazing- Lucas is a star he looked after us and was very polite and helpful
The wait time was so quick I couldn’t believe it!! The atmosphere was fantastic too!
Loved it here will definitely come back again and highly highly recommend to all to come and give it a try! Pizza is just first class
The fresh lemon drink is lovely too!
C. T.
Pretty good pizzas. Good aalternative to lining up at dishoom for 1hr 45! We only waited 15 mins at 630pm on a Wed night
R. B.
Gooood pizzas! Had the vegetarian pizza with artichokes basil olives mozzarella cherry tomatoes and loved it to very last bit. The vegetarian gnocchi gratin with tomato gravy was tasty but a little too rich and heavy but the menu wasn't deceptive though. Would happily go there again :) the bitter orange soda was very refreshing.
A. G.
My favorite Italian pizza place! I eat at Rossopomodoro every country I visit that has this chain restaurant.
Give it a try if you like Italian pizza.
A. K.
Simly delicious, very classic in terms of the menu with lots of GF options. Like this very Italian place with a warm and bubbling atmosphere.
D. C.
Good staff, fantastic food... Rosso Pomodoro make the best authentic pizza in London
P. P.
Great food, excellent service. Won't hesitate to revisit.
Y. M.
Best pizza ever! The gluten free tasted like normal one too. Drinks and dessert were delicious. Staff were amazing! The Italian guy serving upstairs (don't remember his name) delivered an outstanding service.
P. P.
I try PANUOZZO inside A lot aubergine 🍆
Maybe is better do with MORE mix…eggs ham tomato aubergine But is not right because have too many aubergine 75% with too much oil of course also too much salt. So PLEASE FIND THE RIGHT BALANCE. Maybe the costumes appreciate MORE.
I’m not from Naples
But parmigiana is not this.
Please make sure when do panuozzo.
12 pounds for what?
R. W.
You get charged extra for gluten free pizza base which detracted from my score. You shouldn't be charging people for uncontrollable allergies.
V. G.
In love with Rosso in Covent Garden. The best italian in London for sure and I know, my partner is Neapolitan! We had the Parmigiana as a starter, a pizza panini and a fried pizza as a main! DELICIOUS! Service was top notch too, never been treated so great! Thank you guys!
J. H. F.
Just one word! WOW! The place looks amazing! Staff are the best, made us feel so special! And their pasta is the best I’ve ever had! Booking another visit now!
M. M.
I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. The service is good, the staff are friendly, attentive and accommodating. We ordered some bread and olives whilst waiting for our friends to arrive. We got 4 thin slices of bread which I felt was less than generous. The pizza for mains was nice and the pasta was great - excellent ingredients and flavours. Considering the location, the prices are reasonable. It does get a bit crowded and noisy so not ideal for meaningful discussions.
M. K.
Bruschetta was amazing. Everything else was also very tasty.
K. D.
The taste of the pizza is amazing and it’s the best pizza I’ve ever had in England !! Thank you
Nicolas age 10 from Nottingham ❤️🍕
J. P.
Excellent pizzas and super friendly staff. Good for children's.
J. S.
Good food, friendly staff such a pleasant atmosphere.
A. M.
Very authentic and delicious proper Italian pizza. Nice atmosphere, friendly Italian staff.
The only small complaint is that the waitress took plates away while others still eating.
However this will be our 1st choice pizzeria in Central London.
Grazie, Antonino.
Z. C.
Delicious food and friendly customer service.
D. E.
Excellent place. Amazing service, really lovely, attentive team. A bit different to a lot of the touristy stuff in the area.
In particular would highly recommend the gluten free pizza. It's the best gluten free pizza in London. Actually not too far away from a gluten one!
Highly recommended if you're in the area.
D. G.
My girlfriend and I went to this pizzeria a couple of days ago. Lunch time. We came in and welcomed by the manager in a really good manner asking us where we’d like to be seated.
Then our orders had be taken by another waitress named Consuelo. She delivered, honestly, the best service ever. Friendly, genuinely and funny as well.
Highly recommend for the stuff!
The food is great, good quality compared to good prices. We ordered 2 pizzas and a starter. Everything was cooked perfectly and we did not wait so much. Nice atmosphere and location as well!
Thanks again, especially to Consuelo, she really did a great job!
ש. א.
Feels like you are being host in a family table at Rome..
Absolutely wonderful food expirence
D. A.
The place is amazing the working guys their are so friendly and helpful and the food ohh god the food it simply amazing
K. B.
Good food, although my app didn't have all the components.
B.
Lovely neopolitan style pizza in the heart of London. Ingredients are fresh, service is fast. Only downside is that it's pricey compared to other pizza competitors and I distinctly remember being billed a few times for the actual table I was sitting on for being carbon friendly, which is complete nonsense. Service charge is discretionary, as should where you sit, no?
A. M.
Incredible! Excellent food, great atmosphere and good pricing!
V. G.
The best Italian place in London. The best service ever, special thanks to Vito Mola and Apollonia, very professional and friendly and super cool! ❤🥰 I'll come back very often!
K.
Very kind and attentive staff. You really feel they are interested in making you enjoy the visit. Such a rarity nowadays. I think there are mostly Italians working there - no wonder they are so kind. Highly recommended to have a pizza there!
c. h.
Awesome food, amazing staff! The food was gorgeous and fairly priced. They make their own cheeses for some stuff and have a while list of different tomatoes that they use for similar but different dishes. Total dedication to making excellent Italian food. Went 3 times in 4 days because I loved it and they made a fuss of us every time we went!
s. k.
Amazing food and great service! Highly recommend!
S. P.
Good pizza place. Italian style and very tasty. For the price and the location is a must visit. Dropped in without a reservation and we still found a table for 6. Good and super fast service.
I. T.
Average Italian in Covent Garden looks great didn't quite deliver great limoncello
A. O.
Lovely food pity both starter and main came together I would recommend this to anyone. The coffee was out of this world rich and smooth
D. S.
My friend chose this place for our catch up! From the minute we walked in there was a friendly welcome and the place is open, bright and clearly popular. We waited a while for our food and enjoyed olives and wine while we waited (such a hard life!). Well, the pizza was worth waiting for, so fresh and delicious. We had a huge menu to choose from and that included gluten free options too. Simply delicious and a funky vibe too. Felt like I was on holiday!!
P. J.
Amazing service! The manager and staff were really attentive and friendly. We really enjoyed the food and drinks! Great selection ☺️
J. P.
Superb and fresh ingredients making outstanding pizzas. Our multinational lunch party were given a warm welcome and excellent service. They deserve to do very well. Thank you for giving us a great time.
A. B.
Very pleasant Italian restaurant in bustling area. If you're gluten free and love pizza, pasta, and other Italian dishes then this is the place for you. They have a variety of both gluten and non gluten but the gluten free selection and the pizza went greatly beyond my expectations! Friendly staff as well. My only issue was the restroom which needs some serious work.
C. M.
Great, great pizza. Top quality Neapolitan cuisine, good export Moretti beer on offer. Interesting starters but the pizza is the star here. Also good pasta and gnocchi available. If you're in the area it's a great choice and moderately priced for Central London/Covent Garden. Be prepared for a possible wait as it's very often busy.
N. S.
Good gluten free pizza bases. Less inspiring toppings. Got the bill and had been charged for items not delivered and £0.99 fee for the plants in the window. Staff took off both charges without argument.
J. M.
Hands down the best pizza in London! The place looks awesome from the outside, I Had the starter of truffle burrata with a garlic wood fired focaccia to start. It was absolutely delicious! The pizzas were incredible! It was like having a slice of Napoli in London. The waiting staff were super friendly. From when I walked in they were very welcoming. They knew the menu inside out and explained everything to me. The icing in the cake was the desert... We had the tiramisu which was the perfect finish to our little trip to Napoli in London. This restaurant is a must visit for anyone who loves Italian food as much as I do.
L. K.
We had a pre-theatre dinner at this Covent Garden location of Rossopomodoro. We reserved a table for two online and were welcomed by the host in a very competent and friendly manner. We had pasta and drinks which were very good and served quickly. However, when the restaurant was only beginning to become crowded, it seemed like every waiter was bored and asked us whether everything was ok. When it was crowded, it became very loud and our table wasn't the best, as a lot of people had to go by us and interrupted our dinner. All in all, we liked the food but would have preferred another table and a bit less interruption both by the staff and by other customers.

Finally the taste of Italian food in London. We ordered pasta, pizza and some starters as well and was everything good.
The staff was great and kind, particularly Gioia that offered us limoncellos at the end in a proper Italian style.
N. R.
Great spot for lunch. Very light inside...busy but not too overwhelming!
N. B.
A very popular Italian restaurant in the bustling Seven Dials, serving a range of authentic pizzas and pasta dishes. The staff are incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and polite. A great cocktail menu compliments the food with some classics as well as the odd Italian speciality.
Despite being filled to the rafters with diners, the staff managed to seat us quickly and took our orders promptly. The drinks were well made, even if I was surprised by the "La Rossana" which reminded me of Christmas! The choice of starters wasn't great, but were delicious which made up for this. The main courses are biased towards pizza, which is expected for a restaurant hailing from Napoli, this said we still managed to find something tasty. The service from staff was excellent, we were made to feel welcome and looked after.
Well worth a visit if you're in the area and are a fan of pizza and Italian hospitality. A welcome change to the usual chains that does a great job of making you forget this.

The taste of the pizza base is nice, so is the sauce. However the base is always burnt/charred so if you can get to the taste of the pizza without this then well done you. The waiting staff are lovely though! Really nice people who enjoy their work. For me however, Franco manca wins in terms of price and no burnt taste so that’s my choice if I want a pizza.
L. S.
We love Italian food. This restaurant offers very good Italian courses. We enjoyed a delicious pizza with "melanzane alla parmigiana". It was super. We also ate "gnocchi a la Sorrentina". It was fantastic, very well-done. We recommend this restaurant. We chose tiramisu for dessert. However, we think that the tiramisu needs more mascarpone to be better. The price for two people was around 45 pounds. Also, the waiters were very kind and pleasant.
T. T.
Good service, good ambience reasonably priced and the best pizza ever tasted in all my 63 years!
S. K.
Great service but the food was a hit and miss. The starters were amazing and the tomato is extremely fresh. I had pasta and it was okay while my partner had a pizza which came with a large amount of spinach and totally ruined the taste.
Would I go back? Yes, but just because I hope for the food to be better as the tomatoes were amazing.
V. D.
Good points: the pizza I ordered was amazingly delicious, fresh and juicy tomatoes and a lovely smokey flavour. Very busy in the restaurant but lots of space and lovely atmosphere. My friend loved her pizza.
Bad points: hardly any vegetarian dishes - surprising esp given the extensive menu... most seemingly meat free items had meat smuggled in with speck and salami paste or simply non veggie parmesan. The veggie pasta didn't come with cheese and when I asked if I could add cheese and olives to it, I was told no. Even the salads all seemed to have meat/anchovies in them.
D. C.
This was a tough one to rate. Food is lovely, service is good but toilets were filthy. No disabled toilets either.
D. T.
We popped in here on a Saturday early evening just to have a tiramisu with a glass of red wine. Managed to sit at an outside table and have been served by Dario who was an absolute delight. We will be definitely back here, looking forward to try the pizzas too they looked amazing!
J. P.
Busy restaurant. Friendly & attentive staff. Pizza a little soggy for me but tasty toppings.
J. H. L.
Liked their pizza and pasta. Good lunch menu!
S. G. G.
We've just had an awesome experience eating an incredible Italian food in that place!!! We arrived by chance and we've had one of the best burrata and pizza ever. Good product quality and very good service. Good choice in the center of London!
E. G. E.
On our first visit to Rossopomodoro myself and my wife were most pleasantly surprised by the authentic tasting Italian fare, especially the deliciously light piazza bases. Our eagerly anticipated second visit however, proved to be a disappointment. The pizza base was decidedly soggy and stodgy and the accompanying starters were no more special than you would expect in a Pizza Express: no consistency of quality. On a positive note the service was friendly and professional. Although I am hesitant to give a below par rating to an establishment, I must remain candid in my reviews.
I.
If you want to try authentic Napolitan pizza, this is the place. The dough is left to prove for 24 hours which makes for a tasty yet light crust: you will feel full but not heavy.
The service is usually good and the waiters friendly (if you are friendly).
Sometimes the pizza comes burned at the bottom, which is not good for taste and health, but if you tell nicely to the waiter they will prepare another one.
May need to book at peak times.
M. D.
Nice pizzeria in the very heart of london. The staff is friendly and attentive and the pizza usually good. It tends to be crowded in the evening so better to go there early if you want to avoid a long queue
S. H.
Want a light, casual environment with great-tasting pizza? Look no further, because Rossopomodoro is just that place! Did I also mention it has been the best pizza I've had in London (yet!)? The pizzas have a distinctive personality and it seems as if they've just popped directly from Italy. The service is quick, fast and friendly. Overall a nice evening in with good food in a bright and buzzing place that doesn't kill your pockets.
R. J.
We ate here during lunchtime and the lunch menu was a good value for money. Pizzas were good (especially tomato sauce) but somewhat burned which was a shame. Big minuses come from noisy atmosphere (only couple of customers in!) and sometimes absent-minded waiters (just sitting and browsing phones). Still, overall the food was alright for the lunchtime prices.
J. E.
Pizzas are really tasty and there's a good drinks selection ( I remember drinking a fair few negronis!).
It feels like a pizza express but with a little more vibrancy and better food!
Staff were very nice and I had an enjoyable birthday there last year.
M. T.
Friendly staff and food great. Made pizza into something unusual! Children enjoyed their specials although a broken fryer restricted their first choices. Service a bit erratic as each dish came at a different time. Definitely a place to recommend.
S. R.
Amazing experience!
A.
We had some amazing tomato sauce and wonderful service (to the extent that the fork that was knocked over had barely finished rattling on the floor that another was already brought to our table). Food was very tasty and their homemade limonada was a surprising treat. Would highly recommend to those in the mood for Italian.
E. W.
Hadn't planned to come to this restaurant but after finding another restaurant had a two hour wait for tables we thought we would chance our luck.
We managed to get a table for four in the upstairs of the restaurant which, despite it being peak time on a Friday, was only half full.
Our drinks order cam quickly allowing us a sip or two as we browsed the menu. The food then came about 10 minutes after ordering.
The food was absolutely delicious - very authentic! I often shy away from trying restaurants I've not been recommended, particularly in more touristy parts of London like this but they were very good indeed. Great value too which is always a nice bonus.
We didn't stop for pudding as portions were huge and we were all more than full with just mains and a side. (Perhaps the portion size is to their detriment rather than to the guests!)
All in all we had a fantastic meal. Would come back!
N. M.
Amazing pizza. It was very very busy, but they found us a table for 6 quickly. Service was very friendly and speedy. The GF base was apparently very nice too. Highly recommended.
M. S.
Very decent Napoli style pizza. Expect the place to be busy... It might happen that your main will come much much much later after the starters if the waiter working your table will not notice that you are already done with them and the table has been cleaned.
O. M.
Fantastic gluten-free Marinara pizza! So much flavour (and dairy free too)
P. W.
Italian restaurants generally fail to get me excited. I only went here because we had a large group and they could seat us all. My trepidation was proved wrong, possibly the best calzonw I've ever had. Looking forward to going back to try a different pizza. Well worth checking out if you like Italian.
S. D.
I absolutely love this place. Having travelled around Southern Italy and regularly stuffing my face on the most amazing pizza and pasta I have spent the last five years trying to find a decent pizza in London. To be honest most places promise so much but until I found RossoPomodoro I had virtually given up on finding a decent pizza. Call me an old romantic but eating here reminds me of everything I loved about Italian food …slightly salty dough , gooey mozzarella , juicy tomatoes and of course ever so slightly sexy waiters too
D.
Some of the best pizza I've eaten outside of Italy. Authentic Italian dishes with high quality ingredients. They take the tomato sauce base as seriously as the other toppings.
Staff were great too - and I wish I could give five stars. But unfortunately, the pasta dish that was ordered by one person out of a party of five of us appeared 10 mins before our pizzas.
P. y.
Just had lunch here and we were so well looked after by Dario and his colleagues! The Fru Fru is a good choice if you're hungry!!
u.
The pizza bases were burnt at the edges. Not the greatest of choice on the menu or wine list, but managed to find something suitable. Waiters/waitresses were fine, and enjoyed a joke, actually seemed Italian . All in all not a bad place to go, slightly pricey, but at this location you are not going to eat cheap.
J. S.
Really excellent pizza, even better atmosphere. We had a great night here and would definitely go back if we ever get the chance. Best pizza in London.
P. T.
Excellent service and brilliant food. The stone baked pizzas are very tasty indeed. Fulvia and Jessica were very understanding with our diet requirements. Fulvia as the manager is very understanding with customers requirements and she will make sure the customers are satisfied and most important happy too.
I. L.
Very good gluten free pizza. Ingredients in general were extremely fresh and of good quality, the tomato sauce in particular was delicious, sweet and not acidic.
The spaghetti with mussels was average.
Drinks overpriced.
R. M.
Pizza was excellent but glad we didn't have pasta or salad as the dishes we saw on other tables didn't look so nice. Pasta dish portions were small salad leaves looked brown. Pizza was outstanding though.
M. S.
I had the cozze e pecorino, love seafood and this dish was glorious!
M. K.
The food is amazing, service wonderful and friendly. Tasty authentic Napolitan dishes, with quality ingredients imported from Italy. Every time I come away stuffed full of delicious food and Italian hospitality. Love. Love. Love.
R. B.
Real Italian pizzas; reasonably prices and so heavenly delicious. Their mozzarella is of very high quality and really hits the spot. You can literally see them make the pizzas in front of you and that makes up for a brilliant atmosphere. The restaurant is the perfect lunch or even dinner spot.
d. s.
Had high expectations after waiting 15m or so to be waited but left a bit disappointed. Staff was very friendly and helpful but our pasta was too salty and the kids said their pizza was too mild. I guess you need to avoid busy times to have a better experience
R. D.
Good quality pizza with a nice atmosphere.
Had the Verace VOP pizza, was fresh and light.
Normal prices for a London restaurant.
M. C.
The food was great and the staff were excellent.
We tried both the gluten free and regular pizzas. Both were very good, and well worth purchasing.
I will definitely be back in the future.
T. C.
Very pleased.
Called for a table at a busy time (in the evening 2 days before Christmas). Authentic food, well cooked and quick!
Pizzas were very good, and the atmosphere fine.
Will come again
Think AA Gill wouldn't approve, but I do.
E. M.
It's always nice to go there. They updated their menu and and the staff is always helpful
B. Y.
Rossopomodoro was good in terms of atmosphere, drinks (delicious), and the food looks great except it fell short for the dish I order which was the pasta carbonara. The pasta had all the ingredients to be great but it just doesn’t get off the ground. I’m sure there are other great dishes there at the restaurant, so I recommend trying something else.
B. D.
Perfect Neapolitan pizzas.
We also did relish Gnocchi and Bruschetta. The drinks were good too, in taste and variety.
Tiramisu though was average, or rather we had better expectations.
The place can get real noisy both day and evening times. This one is situated at the most opputune location for theatre goers, and would be the recommended spot for pre-theatre dining.
E. T.
It is excellent pizza. But is that really hard to make in London in 2018? The small apps were forgettable and the service was terrible. So if you really insist on authentic neopolitan pizza then fine. But otherwise given the location, there are many other places around.
P. K.
Busy Italian restaurant. Seems to be quite nice. Friendly and welcoming staff.
As a starter we choose cod dough balls and deep fried calamari. Tasteless. There was a spicy sauce on the side, so you can choose from tasteless or hot. I had a glass of Prosecco and even though I genuinely like Prosecco, this one was hard for me to swallow. My Gf had a lemon Gazzosa drink and that was quite nice.
For the main I chose paccheri pasta with tomatoes and seafood and have to admit, it tasted nice and fresh and I enjoyed it. My Gf had trofie Ricotta pasta with pesto and I find ridiculous to be charged 12.95 for such a simple dish. We simply passed the dessert because we had very low expectations.
It is difficult to assess a restaurant based on 3 dishes but unfortunately we will not be coming back to try more. There are so many more better Italian restaurants.
A. A.
I've been here many many times since I came to London and I assure here you can find the best pizza you can have in the entire London. Service is absolutely great and prices are good. Also I never had to wait long to be served. I really really recommend Rossopomodoro to anyone.
M. G.
Very nice staff. The food was a bit basic for the price! Amazing Panna cotta though!
K. C.
Some of the best pizzas in London, always great service from the staff too. If you want vegan options they have quite a few choices for toppings as well. Sometimes a short wait for a table in the evening, but never very long.
G. V.
Seriously good pizza, makes me feel back in Italy. Staff friendly and welcoming, great service. Just a tiny bit noisy but will definitely go again
E. A.
Best pizza I have had for a long time. Fresh ingredients and perfect base. Busy atmosphere (not for a romantic meal for two) but overall quite pleasant. Will definitely be back!
M. K.
We had a Christmas team do here last night on the top floor of this wonderful restaurant. I found the staff to be very pleasant and patient to guide a 20+ group through their menu (I've never tasted Neapolitan cuisine before). Although as you can imagine the chaos a 20+ group could be in, we had a great time and some excellent quality food. I noticed the food quality was consistent despite the large quantity of orders. I have held back one star because of some delays in the order. But to be fair, the restaurant was pack it was not entirely unexpected. I would certainly recommend this place to italian food lovers.
D. J.
The food was lovely, the service was great, and the waiters were amazing. Would recommend!
K. K.
The best pizza I have had anywhere in the world. The base is nice and thin like a pancake and the tomatoe sauce authentic. My only criticism is that they can improve on the cutlery hygiene, my fork and knife were blurry with smuged finger prints (not mine).
J. F.
Management were fantastic and even got us shots after our meal...really enjoyed all the food and service, however sadly they forgot my pizza and I waited 20 mins for it. My partner had finished her pasta by the time my main was served. Other than that brilliant
E. C.
been back 3 times now because the gluten free pizza is very very good. I have an Itlaian friend and they rave about this place. Its true, service is much better when they are busy. staff are very nice and polite and when attentive when they come over...they are all from Naples too!!
K. X. T.
Delicious italian pizza place!! Helpful staff. Food is served fast. Priced within medium end. They still use traditional wood fire oven to bake pizza.!
S. D.
Busy venue for dinner, but nice Italian pizza and recommended because of their lunch menu. Due to the area where it is located, it's sometimes very busy at weekends. Good choices not only for pizzas but also other mains. Tiramisu is not prepared using the traditional recipe (the real one doesn't use Nutella) but it's still a good dessert.
A. S.
Amazing food. Very very delicious. Real italian cuisine.
R. J.
I really enjoyed the Pizza here, it was amazing!! Very nice and friendly staff, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. Great location too!!
L. B.
What an amazing restaurant. The food was second to non, the service amazing. I would recommend this place to everyone 😍
L. W.
Decent Pizza. TERRIBLE "LOKE" APP for ordering online. Avoid it at all costs. I ordered a pizza and waited over 5 minutes at "Sumbitting Order", at which point a "database error" occurred. So then I tried again... and it again went for over 5 minutes. I walked over to order in person and then I had two orders. The staff were very nice but were helpless to refund the double charge.
C. C.
Great pizza and friendly, attentive staff. Packed in a little tight, but that's to be expected around covent garden. Nice place for dinner before a show.
J. G.
Great pizza but nothing else really. Desert was ok as well. Got the sherbert and it was great and my brother got the tiramisu and it wasn't. Main course were the same.
M. G.
Amazing pizza, just like they make them in Naples! My girlfriend is from Salerno (near Naples) and this is the only chain she wants to visit outside Italy.
Like most places in London, they have a discretionary service charge of 12.5% — but it is really discretionary, so you don't have to pay it if you don't want. We talked with the manager about it and he told us that 1) they've talked with the chain about the charge and 2) it goes 100% to the staff.
M. P.
Great pizza and service is top!!
A. R. L.
Average. As a starter we had a focaccia, or at least that is how they called it. Because if you order focaccia all'aglio at rossopomodoro you get a mozzarellaless small pizza without a hint of garlic (aglio=garlic). So, not only what they call "focaccia" is not a focaccia, it doesn't even taste like garlic even though it is advertise as such. And when I asked the waitress, she said "yes that is focaccia" and then corrected herself with "that is how we do it". So please change the name to "garlic tomato bread" or "rossopomodoro special focaccia" because you are NOT selling focaccia and you are misleading customers. As an Italian I know what focaccia is. Anyways, even though we complained, no solution was given. As main we had a vegan hemp base pizza which was quiet nice but a bit chewy, and a plate of flavourless spaghetti pomodoro e basilico. Finally, we were charged an "optional" fee for carbon neutral dining, which is a great idea but it would be even greater if we were told about it before charging us and maybe we would have donated more to the cause. I don't think we will be back again, there are definately better Italian chains in London.
L. T.
Lovely food, good selection of veggie and gluten free dishes and a very polite, friendly service. Can get quite busy due to location but as it's spread over two floors it doesn't mind that much.
J.
Nice place, good value, very friendly service and authentic feel. Pizzas were good, not exceptional, though I think I chose badly by not getting a tomato-based topping. Would return
S. M.
Really nice food..nice atmosphere. Good price. Pizza base was really nice.
J. B.
Not sure if it's THE best gluten free pizza in London, as it's the only one I've tried, but it was tasty. Plus there's a gf tiramisu for dessert and a gf menu. A bit pricey and loud, but it hit the spot.
L. J. S.
Quite expensive for a small serving of pasta. The place is right at the middle of the tourist spots in London, so I cant blame them with the price. The experience was good, at least
A. T.
Good food but I really think the prices are just silly now. Hustle you in, hustle you out, every little extra gets charged and soon you might as well be eating Steak.. Won't be going there again for a while. Which is a pity...
C. R.
Lovely Italian restaurant, great tasting food . I would recommend
L. W.
Very nice staff, really good pizza, and very naughty desserts. Entry level wine was vile though - avoid. Been there twice now and the food and service were consistently good.
J. H.
Great value. Not your standard pizza and pasta place. The whole food experience is elevated and the service is excellent. The pastas are wonderful!
J. C.
Good food but mostly I was impressed with the serving. All waiters have been very friendly and welcoming, always smiling. Such experience is definitely rare. Well definitely recommend it and would come again
V. S. T.
No Italian like this in London ... Heavenly pizza dough, the best tomatos and Mozerella on the pizza ... Cocktails are good and so in delicious Tiramisu, which changed shapes three times over the years but is still the same old i.e. smashingly good. The only improvement is that the Tiramisu is a bit inconsistent in the content of tipsy moisture in the sponge. Sometimes a lot and other times it is bone dry ...
V. J.
My favourite pizza place in London! Make sure you book in advance so you don't miss the chance to try it!
E. W.
Tasty italian pizza but not very clean. Be prepared to pay for the table just like in Italy (copertina) as well. Would not go back; there are better pizzerias than this one.
A. S.
I must say that I'm not a huge fan of Rossopomodoro and end up going here often only because of my Italian friends. It is pricey and the seating a bit too uncomfortable. But the Pizza Margarita is amazing!
E. M.
Service was ok but not great. The food was nice but I wouldn't exactly rush back. The tomato sauce on the pizza was the best thing about the visit. It was superb but everything else was quite average.
G. W.
Absolutely fantastic! This is my new favourite Italian restaurant in London. Food to die for, friendly staff, awesome service and great atmosphere! If you want fantastic Italian food with a Neapolitan twist this is the place!
S. T.
When you don't fancy queuing for Homeslice people usually pour out and head here. I checked with them to assure me that their Buffalo Mozzarella is actually from Buffalo as i am allergic to cow's milk. They assured me it was and I was looking forward to a great pizza that wouldn't make me ill. Boy was I wrong. The pizza was good (not the best I have had) but I would about the authenticity.
L.
I got a seafood pasta in a red and yellow tomato sort of gravy. I never like pasta with a runny gravy (prefer a sauce) but it was DELICIOUS. I literally was saying "mmm" with every bite. The service was also really great.
D. T.
Well, my first visit, brilliant. Try the scarpetta Bolognese just terrific. Lovely staff, eager to help. The place is great for people watching as a sways a lot going on around Seven Dials. I thoroughly recommend this place, whether your first or hundredth visit. Pop in and enjoy
R. B.
Food was good. Found it a little annoying that before we were even sat down we were asked if we wanted water, without mentioning it was going to be £3+ a bottle when tap would suffice and was assumed. Other than that, good food and service was OK
E. M.
Pizza is the main attraction at this restaurant, and authenticity is what sets it apart from the rest of the pack. The waitstaff, pizzaiolos and even some of the ingredients are imported from Italy.
In my three visits I have stuck to the basics, ordering the Margherita the first time and the Scarpetta the second and third time. I was turned on to the Scarpetta by my waiter who pitched the pie as an upgraded version of the Margherita (it uses cherry tomato sauce, which is more tangy, and buffalo mozzarella instead of standard tomato and mozzarella). The taste is noticeably different, which made it worth savoring a second time.
For appetizers I enjoyed the bread assortment, Rucoletta salad and Gnocco. The Gnocco is meant to be a main course, but a visit wouldn't be complete without eating a pizza so I splurged. The best (and most appropriate) of the three was the Rucoletta salad. It was both light and flavorful, which made a perfect opening act for the carbs that followed.
Save room for dessert, because there are a few good options here. On my first visit I had the Calda Calda, which is sweet fried pizza dough with vanilla, sugar and Nutella. Nutella tastes good on week old bread, so this is a special treat. The chewy dough, smooth Nutella and grains of sugar combine to create a truly special dessert. The problem is that pizza dough for the main course and dessert can be too much for some people.
On my second and third visit I opted for lighter choices - a lemon sorbet and a Limoncello (Liquorini). The waiter warned me that the lemon sorbet was more custardy than what I was probably expecting. It was, but it made for a light, tangy and refreshing finish to the meal. The Limoncello made for a similar experience, and is highly recommended for those that are looking for a digestif.
The food is very good at any price, but I found it to provide great value considering the restaurant's location. I had a short wait on two of my visits, but the host was very accommodating on both occasions - serving wine as I waited during one visit.
L. M.
I really enjoyed Rossopomodoro! The pizza was great and all the ingredients tasted really fresh. Our waiter was really friendly and service was fast. There is also a really nice atmosphere inside.
S. H.
Service charge on receipt 12.5% I prefer to give my own tip....Fly in my wine
F. P.
Even if Rossopomodoro is a chain pizzeria, I have had one of my best pizzas in London there.
Service is very fast and helpful, and you can see the pizzaiolo making pizzas in front of you, grabbing fresh pasta from an always on pasta maker.
M. P.
Brilliant pre-theatre meal for three people. Excellent food and service at a very busy time. My pizza was one of the best I have ever had,
S. B.
Above average pizza - wine was poor for the price
N. R.
one of my favorite places for a excellent pizza and some very good pasta. Nice atmosphere, but a bit too loud sometimes. Therefore 4 out of 5 stars.
S.
Simply the best pizza in center London, original Napoli style. 24 hours sourdough leavening that makes pizza easy to digest. Different types of tomatoes and mozzarelle. All ingredients originals from Napoli. All pizzas are customisable. My favourite is: Verace DOP + Parma ham + fresh sausage. Try also Street food napoletano (Tiella - to share) and buffalo mozzarella. You won't regret it.
O. A.
Lovely Italian restaurant in the heart of Covent Garden! I only go for their Pizza but I’m sure the rest of the dishes are amazing too.
Very friendly and courteous staff too
K. G.
I’m not much of a connoisseur when it comes to Italian food, but one of my friends is adamant that Rosso Pomodoro provides the fine citizens of London with some of the most authentic pizza this side of the channel. I couldn’t possibly enter into the fray, but I must say when I went here a while ago I did chow down on a darned good pizza. The base was perfectly crispy and the toppings were a delectable combination of soft, cheesy, gooey but not soggy.
The venue itself is very nicely lit and the staff (or at least the guy serving us) actually spoke Italian which is usually a good start.
Deffo recommended!
S. S.
Some of the best napoletan pizzas in London
F. G.
That's a good spot to taste Italian cuisine. The staff was friendly, the pizza well baked and tasty.
J. H.
Very exciting to have these kind of Neapolitan specialities available in London - there are things on the menu here I haven't seen anywhere else in London. I started with the pasta tartufella, where the porcini was very evident, and the thick spaghetti was al dente and just right. I wasn't 100% sure about the smoked cheese flavour to the sauce, but maybe that's just me. Next, the real highlight - I chose one of the calzone fritti - the "veracella" - an experience which demands hyperbole to adequately describe. It was like an excellent savoury doughnut, with a superbly rich tomato sauce instead of the jam, and some really good quality mozzarella. Oh, and occasionally little intense bursts of very fragrant basil. Excellent texture to the dough - perfect balance of chewy and fluffy, whilst also being crisp on the outside. Eating this pizza was frankly an emotional experience. I wouldn't recommend you eat this every day, or even every week, but once a month or so might go a long way to making life seem less dull. Well done Rosso Pomodoro!
M. H.
Sexy waiter! Great food. Boyfriend wasn't too happy, not sure if that's because he's gluten intolerant or because of the waiter giving me so much attention. Anyway, he's in for a treat after this treat :-P
n. t.
Got there early.lots of Italians eating there. Just loved it staff wonderful friendly and helpful. Pasta sauce reminded me of home.when we left huge queues so speaks for itself. Cheets guys see you nect time
D. S.
Is quite a good pizzeria and personnel is helpful, they semplified the menu, I don't know if that is a good thing, but pizza was still pretty good, so I won't complain.
G. R.
Food was good. Service was lackadaisical whilst mildly amusing. They accidentally served us a bottle of wine which was more expensive than the one we ordered which they then took away after 10 minutes including our half drunk glasses of wine. Bizarre.
J. R.
My daughter and I enjoyed a beautiful meal here before the theatre. The food was superb and the service from the staff so attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend 😊
J. S.
I got the cannelloni.
Don’t get the cannelloni.
Anything but the cannelloni.
The cannelloni was small and cold.
Unlike the waitress! Who single handedly earned 3 stars.
Will go back if she’s there.
But only for a beer.
The beer was cold.
Beer’s meant to be cold.
Cannelloni isn’t.
G. B.
Great pizza - authentic Naples pizza. Gluten free options. Reasonably priced. Better than the usual pizza-chains.
C. T.
Friendly Italian pizza place in Covent Garden area.
Being an italian myself I am quite fussy about my pizzas but would easily recommend this to any friends.
Try the tiramisu, it comes with a drizzle of Nutella over it!
Overall cheap price for a quick and tasty meal
D. C.
One of my favourite places in London for a great Italian. Pizzas are always fantastic and the staff are always attentive. Could not recommend this place enough.
M. S.
The pizza here is incredible, one of the best in London. Although the salads are a little underwhelming, so I would in future just stick to getting a pizza and you'll never be disappointed!
E. D.
My favourite food is Italian and I stumbled upon this amazing Italian restaurant with my fiancé while wandering around Covent Garden. Rossopomodoro makes me feel like I am in Italy. It is professional, and inviting. The staff are welcoming and polite, and it’s become a firm favourite for us when visiting London. The best bit apart from the delicious food, is that when sitting upstairs you can see into the huge kitchen and watch the pizzas being freshly made, then going into traditional stone cooker. If you are ever in Covent Garden and you are hungry, Rossopomodoro is highly recommended.
W. A.
Rossopomodoro serves lovely gluten free pizza and has an excellent staff! I always go here at least once when I'm in town.
H. C.
Amazing food, faultless service and able to deal with my awkward food allergies
C. C.
I simply love their pizza! In particular the Verace!!! Everyone is friendly. 4 stars because they made us waiting even with a booking and half floor empty. But once I had the pizza everything was forget!!!
B. V.
Best pizza we've ever had...dough and sauce were excellent. Service was fine. Environment was cool and in a walkable shopping district.
D. B.
Pizza for an Italian is serious business and when travelling abroad I try to stay away from the pizzerias in general. I dont even like restaurant chains where in general marketing takes over the kitchen and the quality of the ingredients. Rosso Pomodoro is an exception. What I like about Rosso Pomodoro is its consistency in delivering a very good pizza no matter where you are. I tried several Rossopomodoro's in Italy and I was a bit concerned about the quality you could get here in London. Well the pizza was really good exactly at the same level of the one you get around my country. If you like the real thing well Rosso Pomodoro will do the job. A bit pricey to my likes, but pizza here is above average. Recommended.

For a taste and sound of true Italian culture come to this ROSSOPOMODORO. Don't be fooled by the fact that is a chain, they are in Italy too so you cannot go wrong. You know a place is authentic if you do not hear English spoken inside b the staff, which is exactly what happens here. The staff is young, from all over Italy and very receptive to the customer's needs.

The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic! I just love to go there. Always busy but very well organised place. If they have better beer in offer you could call the place heaven!
A. K.
Very good pizzas and pastas. There are better pizza places around, but this place is good with a group of people who want different types of food. Really good service with friendly staff.
C. G.
Very friendly service, great food. Clearly very popular as there was always a queue but everyone was seated quickly. Particularly reccomended the pana cotta and the melon spritz.
A. A.
Place and service is okay, prices as usual for London but pizza could be better. Toppings are really poor - olives and basil on Cappriciosa means one olive and one basil leaf.

Cozy , modern , wonderful food and a very special staff of Italians briefly transports you from London to Napoli ! It's inner of my favourite spots in London.
C. G.
Nice food with gluten free options. Asked for a whisky and wasn't offered a choice so maybe there is no choice. Service good. Bit slow to get bill.
R.
Very nice pizza, they do gluten free pizza which it's the reason why we went there. Although I have to say very overpriced!
P. F.
Really good place to grab a pizza or having some pasta. I had pizza and it was really good. The service is fast and very friendly. And if you italian or speak italian most of waiterests speak too :))
H. P.
I have been here a few times now. The staff are always friendly and the food is so delicious. All the ingredients are fresh and the can accommodate for everyone.
S. S.
Delicious pizza! They have a whole section in their menu for people who need glutenfree food, which was great and made the visit much easier.
M. C.
Omg I would go back in a heartbeat!! Everyone is Italian and I think I spotted Mario behind the counter in the kitchen...
Incredible pizzas with a fantastic gluten free selection.
M. E.
It's loud, you are paying West End prices, and there isn't much elbow room.
But... the place could have been transplanted straight from Napoli. Wonderful mozzarella and delizia.
N. B.
Good but had a better meal at Bella Italia the night before
I.
True Italian cooking at it's finest. Very accommodating for allergies & the food was absolutely delicious. Also child friendly. Highly recommended ☆☆☆☆☆
M. R.
Really good place and really delicate food. Really well-finished in each detail. Feedback from Italian people. Compliments to Gioia for the kind attitude.
C.
Best pizza I’ve had in London by far! Would definitely recommend to anyone as the atmosphere is pleasant and the prices are fair.
R. T.
Odd, slightly antiseptic, experience. Seems like a factory more than a restaurant. Can't blame them given the location, but there are better Italian restaurants in London.
A. G.
The food is good.. the waitresses attitude is awful 😖
F. B.
Worth every penny.
A wonderful experience with fantastic service and food. Highly recommend to anyone looking to experience authentic italian cuisine.
M. M.
Really lovely staff, great pizza and had great gluten free options for my partner. Gracias a todos ahi y Feliz Navidad!
D. G.
Food is good quality, but doesn't meet the standards of the branches in Italy. They still maintain the authentic taste of Italian food.
R. L.
Not pricey. Right level of Italian charm in the service. But more importantly, excellent Pizza and more.
B. E.
Lovely place. Really nice food in large portions.
M. K.
Surprising brick oven pizza with great cocktails and fun deserts. Good atmosphere, attentive staff, fresh pie.
C. A.
Great staff great food great gluten free pizza - overall great experience. The managers and staff are awesome
C. L.
This place is really great. Pizza is delicious. Staff are very friendly
S. D.
Third time I've visited. This time on my own. Still made to feel welcome and not rushed as in some places. No 4g and had trouble logging on to their network.
A. R.
In my opinion (from an Italian) this is the best pizza you can get in London.
The place is nice, staff is friendly and food delicious
A. T.
I would say that the Pizza is within an average scale. I would say it's on the high average. It can be a great place to hang out with friends.
G. C.
The regular pizza here is great. I had a gluten free pizza that was below my expectations. I had better GF pizza.
S. P.
Saw people leaving because their baby started crying, staff was telling them how to behave. Super loud music. Foodwise: good ingredients, bad assembly.
A. M.
Very good Napolitan restaurant! Highly recommended. The fried pizza (like a calzone) is great!
D. L.
Food is ok, staff is miserable. The Italian guy serving us was so bothered that made the entire meal boring as him.
D. F.
Best pizza you can get in Covent Garden. Authentic Neapolitan pizza made by people who know what they're doing.
K. G. O.
The best gluten free pizza that I had honestly so far in London. Staff is very friendly.
M. K.
Every time the food is tasty and the atmosphere easy going. The staff was a bit confused with wines otherwise great .
K. F.
Don't order carbonara.honestly it was a plate of 10 pieces of pasta only for £13.unbelievable..
Pizza very good and the stuff!
not impressed overall!!overpriced!
A. S.
Good pizza, but the atmosphere isn't that great, always overcrowded, you can't hear the person sitting next to you.
A. B.
Had lovely pizza here, were squeezed in late at night after theatre, despite being closing time for them. Food was excellent!
C. B.
Very tasty pizzas, fresh ingredients used and the dough is delicious. We loved it
L. L.
Great location and atmosphere. Staff very welcoming and attentive. Food is very good and very reasonably priced for central London. Would recommend.
Z.
They got nice pizza. And the manager here loves to practice his arabic, pretty nice guy.
T. D.
Such amazing pizza - among the best in London - plus friendly service. Great location near Covent Garden too.
L. P.
I ordered a Margherita pizza and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff was super friendly. Recommended.
U. G.
My husband is gluten intolerant and this was the best gluten free pizza he said he'd had. We'll definitely be going back.
A. A.
Food very good but very rushed service .2 of us hadn't finished eating and taking plates away . I know it's Saturday night but could have given us a little more time .

Great pizza. Fantastic service. 👌🏼
G. V.
Great food, great atmosphere, great staff
A. F.
Fabulous food and excellent service. Well worth popping in for a meal and it's just round the corner from St Martin's Theatre.
S. B.
Fast and extremely friendly ad pleasant service.... plus a delicious pizza... definitely come back and bring few friends!
J. P.
Food is always excellent, staff is very kind, and it's price is reasonable.
One of our favourite places to eat at
P. d. G.
Best pizza in London. No doubt. And fabulous Napoli style service. If you know what I mean :)
C. F.
Decent neapolitan style pizza. Noise level is loud but it is still possible to converse.
W. S.
Cosy italian well located in Covent Garden. The pizzas were outstanding, and so were the pastas we tried... Will definitely be back !
D. J.
Literally the best pizza I've ever had. Will always return here when visiting England!
J. B.
My favourite pizza place - slightly more pricey than some its competitors, but the pizza is so delicious it’s worth it!
K. F.
Friendly staff but food has gone downhill in the past few years. It's far too salty and oily not to mention pricey considering other better options are available closeby that are far cheaper.
N. C.
Great food even if prices might be sometimes too high. Pizza is delicious and highly recommended
S.
Really good pizza. I'm Italian and I miss home sometimes, this is my go to place. They also make a mean lemonade!
R. B.
Proper Italian pizza, hard to find a place like this in London! Great staff too
P. W.
Great pizzas but tables too close together, and my wife was always being bumped into by the rushed-off-their-feet waiters.
F. B.
Not a cheap pizza but is very good
They have a big variety of pizza and a lots of types of pizza dough to choose from
S. W.
Nice place, good food and decent service.
A. C. C.
Nice pizzas, I loved the gluten free base.
I thought the fried entries were a bit stuffing though...
Nice staff.
G. W.
I liked this place, but honestly didn't think it was anything that out of the ordinary. Supposed gelato tasted like own-brand ice cream from a tub. Very nice interior though.
A. K.
If you want cheap Italian pizza, this is the place to go. It is not the worst, but don’t expect too much.
A. A.
Easily the best pizza I've ever had, either in Italy or the UK. Awesome!
J. P.
Average Italian food served by friendly staff in a chain atmosphere. Nothing particularly great nor anything to complain about but plenty of tough competition in the area.
G. V.
Had a couple of very good pizzas on a hot summer evening. Good service in a nice air-conditioned place.
R. H.
Next level pizza. The flavours genuinely feel like they have just been imported from Italy. Food made with love.
A. B.
Food was delicious and fantastic! The team reminded me of Napoli... The lovely Italiano guest hosting warmth... Gratie!!!
G. J.
Excellent Napoli style pizzas and pasta. It's really good food
P. C.
Delicious pizza and the kids pasta was pretty good too. It would be 5 stars but pricey.
N. S.
Lovely venue, delicious food and great service!!
A. C.
Still the best pizza in town. Great stuff and kudos to the hard-working team in the open kitchen.
A. M.
Really lovely service and nice wood baked pizza. All in all a very pleasant stay.
E.
The pizza was just OK tbh(pizza fan here!)but the staff were amazing!
O. S.
Amazing pizza, good size and nice, doughy crusts. Generous toppings and just all around delicious!
I. K.
Busy, lively, reasonably priced eating house in the theatre district. Menu choices are rather limited and the service could be faster.
J.
Great pizza. Little bit undercooked at the centre but toppings were awesome
F. D.
Best pizza in town. Staff is Italian too, so feels like back home
P. D.
I had a cheeseless (vegan) pizza and it was delicious. Service was good and fast too.
L. R.
Authentic Italian restaurant, one of my favourites in London. Lovely atmosphere and great service
Well thought menu as well
C. Y.
Cosy place. Quite crowded. Needs reservation if you don't want to wait the queue. Margarita pizza highly recommended
I. W.
Poped in for lunch and had a salad. A boring choice I thought.... but it was the most amazing salad I have ever had. Highly recommend
A. Y.
We first happened upon Rossopomodoro by chance. The food is mouthwatering so it’s become a firm favourite on our trips to London
B. I.
Great as usual! Best pizza in London and vip treatment from Zaira and Luca our lovely waiters!!
A. C.
Very good pizza and real products from Italy. Need to try the rest!
L. A.
Very expensive. Pizzas are small and average. The music is so fast it makes you eat quickly and pushes you out.
G. M.
Lovely place, good location, great service and tasty food, the 3 variety pizza i had was amazing.
s. v.
Very nice Italian food and excellent service
s. s.
Delicious and amazing Italian food! The best Italian restaurant in London! Great staff and great service!
f. k.
Super awesome gluten free pizza and definitely one of the best you can get in this town!
G. F.
Very tasty but the restaurant is always busy and if you are sitting on the top floor you can't event talk as everyone talk very loudly
T. R.
The food was decent and interesting, a little ahead of zizzi and the like but the service in our case was very slow and inattentive. Seems to be tailored to families with kids.
J. W.
I had been to Italy and I can say that the pizza in that restaurant is better than the Italian one. Recommend the place.
