Came round for a late lunch on Saturday! Staff was super friendly and we had the most amazing mussels cooked in white sauce!! Tiramisu was ON POINT - must order. They even served bread with their own olive oil which is always a plus. Would definitely come back. Be prepared to cover your ears if you decided to sit outdoor as a lot of luxury cars would fly by!

Great place for lunch. The manager is super, very polite. There is outdoor seating in the summer which is perfect for lunch or dinner. I’d recommend the Burrata Caprise, very fresh and filling. At lunchtime we were able to walk in without booking, but I’d recommend to book on the weekends.

Mixed feelings about this place. Are we still doing cover charges in 2021? It’s always disappointing when a restaurant advertises a great looking set menu on their website but when you arrive it’s not available… Service was nice. At some points we felt a little rushed. The restaurant itself feels like a traditional Italian that you’d find on Capri. It was quaint but if full you’d practically be eating on top of other customers. The chef definitely likes salt - the bread we were served wasn’t good. Stodgy and very salty. The carpaccio was nice; a sold portion with ample parmesan but again a lot of salt. The mushroom risotto was delicious and cooked to perfection. Skipped out on dessert but they looked decent.

The food took ages to come. We had reservations and the food took more than an hour to be served. After all this time the food was just average, we were expecting more. The dessert was good, a passion fruit cheesecake. In this sense, for an average food it was a bit expensive.

An absolutely wonderful restaurant, the food is magnificent especially the Dover sole, cooked to perfection. The waiters are extremely attentive and detailed in their explanation of the dishes and how they are prepared. I can’t fault this place, the ambience and all round an enjoyable night out.

Amazing food, friendly employees, affordable! Ordered the black ink pasta, seafood risotto and muscles in white sauce. The muscles were delicious, gravy not too strong. Wife enjoyed the black ink pasta. The seafood risotto was incredible, very-very tasty with A LOT of seafood. The hot chocolate brownies with ice cream was great too, not too sweet.

Many a good meal here. Always fabulous service and a warm welcome. Sale e Pepe are traditional which I love; no music in the restaurant as not needed, the maître d' always wears a suit and tie. Bread, olives and a little amuse bouche are on the table in an instant. The food is always great. They even sang for my partners 30th. Brilliant. Will keep coming back.

Love the food and waitstaff. We go every time we're in London. Try the carbonara, it's excellent. Can get crowded later in evening so you may want to call ahead... happened to us once, but the owner or manager kindly squeezed us into a small extra table. He didn't want us going away disappointed. We've never had a bad experience there. Probably our favourite Italian restaurant.

Unfortunately this want for me, the atmosphere want there but the biggest issue we had was with the food (personal preference) I ordered the spaghetti Bolognese and I couldn't finish it, it was incredibly salty, my mum has the lasagne and also couldn't finish it for the same reason, she ordered chips on the side and they were soggy and soft and the calamari was not great either, tasted very cheap, we also had garlic bread and honestly it was basically chiabatta bread with garlic rolled over the top, just not great quality food, fyi the spaghetti they seem to use is the type that looks more like rice noodes (thin), its not the thick spaghetti you would normally expect with such meals, overall not impressed and will not be returning

It was our first time in Sole o Pepe and the experience was very pleasant! The waters were very nice and friendly and definitely made our stay memorable. Food was outstanding I have got seabass which was fabulous and the wine was very good as well! Definitely recommend this restaurant!

My “local”. It’s a friendly neighbourhood restaurant where the staff get to know the regulars and treat them like family. I love my Sunday lunches at the bar with a good book, great menu (which changes often enough to keep it interesting) and chatting to the staff. All my friends who’ve been there with me love the food and atmosphere. Can recommend.

The food is consistently good and the setting is completely unpretentious, given its setting in a quiet street just behind Knightsbridge, and the reason I keep going back. Lovely place, location and staff. However, asparagus still kept cooking on too hot a plate. Crunchy & woody. By the time it had cooled my friends had finished their starters. The veal in lemon was inedible. ‘Mushy’ is the only word I can use. Green beans - I like ‘dente’ but actually prefer beans to be cooked not just hot and raw.

I visited Sale E Pepe on a recent trip to London with my girlfriend. We were not sure where we wanted to eat and stumbled across the restaurant after visiting the nearby shops. Tony and his team ways so fun, attentive without being overbearing. The restaurant is cosy, light and airy, tucked away behind Sloane Street it an ideal location. Always full with great atmosphere. The food typically Italian and hearty. Oysters and clam vongoli my favourites. The calamari starter is enough for two and superb. The chicken liver parfait not my favourite, the toasted bread could be more rustic, rather than a sliced loaf and it needed a nice sweet jam chutney. Otherwise always a great afternoon out, and the wine's always go down far too well.

Highly recommend the melon e prosciutto as a starter and the cacio e Pepe for pasta. Maybe not always on the menu, but the chef can make zabaglione with berries and it is such a light and flavourful dessert. Otherwise the tiramisu is equally delicious.

Great place for a special occasion. Took my (now) girlfriend here for our first date, and have been returning there for every milestone since! The whole restaurant has a very authentic feel about it, with an all Italian staff, seats and tables all close together making it a very cosy but at the same time very fun experience Needless to say the food was fantastic, and well worth the price for the quality and experience.

Distinctly average Italian restaurant with a Knightsbridge price tag and no corresponding quality in the food to justify it. The crab avocado is completely overpowered by the large dollop of sauce unceremoniously dumped on top, vongole completely lacked sweet seaside clam flavour, arrabiata was just a bit clumsy with any bright and fresh tomato flavours punched down by a heavy clump of chillis and the tiramisu was too amaretto-heavy for my palate. Service leaves a lot to be desired. Our waiter forgot our drinks and then proceeded to ignore us after we finished our main courses. Surely a natural progression of events is to be offered dessert menus, either take dessert and/or coffee orders and/or expect a request for the bill? Or perhaps all customers expect to sit at their tables for the rest of the evening until closing...? London has a whole host of excellent Italian restaurants, and they're not in short supply at this price point so it baffles me how this place has survived for so long. Nostalgia and tourists perhaps?

We had a most enjoyable dinner last night at Sale e Pepe ,great atmosphere with a lively authentic Italian feel to the place . Stumbled upon this restaurant on vacation in London. I had the spaghetti with bolognese and it was probably the best spaghetti I’ve ever had. It was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection, I ate the entire plate. The staff was quick and very friendly. The only thing that kept from 5 stars was the crowdedness within the restaurant. They seemed to have placed as many tables as absolutely possibly within the space and had people sitting at every one of them allowing for little space for movement and people/wait staff walking by knocking into your chairs a bit. We did go at prime dinner hour, but would’ve liked a little less congestion. Overall would recommended
