Excellent quality food and loved the tapas style servings. Would’ve given the food, drinks and desserts 6 stars if it was an option. Service was good and very fast. However, it is a great shame to see the seating arrangement was very crowded and almost felt like sitting on the same table to the ones next to ours - therefore not quite relaxing as how it should’ve been. It is also impossible not to touch others when going past others tables when leaving.

Went there yesterday for a drink before dinner and we sat at the counter at the entrance. We couldn't resist nibble something so we had the juiciest olive I've ever taste. Cocktail and mocktail were both amazing and the bartenders were lovely, hard working, caring and knowledgeable. Not such a great vibe from the management, but food and service were great.

Food was average, seafood spaghetti was cold. Waiter was knowledgable on wine and helped pair with our dishes but wasn’t attentive enough to refill our glasses. Decor is elegant and romantic. Nice for a date or fancy family meal.

The food was delicious and dessert was extra yum! The staff were friendly but we had to wait quite a long time to be seen. As mentioned by other reviewers, I found that the seating arrangement was very crowded and you could hear the conversations of the nearby tables and be very careful not to knock their tables on the way in and out.

Went to San Carlo to celebrate a friends 50th. Nice restaurant and food is great. Lots of fish dishes. Meat dishes available too. Would reccomend the Cozze in spicy sauce, fish soup, as starters. Lobsters ravioli, fish Royal as mains. Can reccomend/must, chips with parmigiano and tartuffo and zucchine fritte side dishes. Only critic are the cocktails. However Italians don't drink cocktails with there meals. Staff where superb!!!

This is my favourite Italian restaurant in the whole of central London. The food tastes incredible and it is not ridiculously priced either. The drinks are great and the service is lovely also! The decor makes you feel like you are in a classic movie too - I love it!

First I must declare that I don’t usually like restaurants in West End as they serve tourists (not repeated customers) most of the time so their standards usually are under par, or you get some pretentious service or meaningless decor to compensate the food or over-priced menu and the new riches are foolish enough to pay. They usually lack class and sense. Harsh but true! Now that assumption I had is fully disclosed and how I am pleasantly surprised by my experience in San Carlo. First the service is excellent, very old fashioned and non pretentious service. Staff are well dressed and with substance unlike some hipsters you get these days. The captain knows how to serve and is keen to give his customers the enjoyable experience they deserve. He also made a couple of excellent suggestions based on our likes and dislikes. The food is good too. I would recommend the Spaghetti Lobster. Most places fail this dish because either the lobster is too creamy or the spaghetti is too soggy. Here, the spaghetti is real al dente. I don’t like desserts but had Mille-feuille (I know it is French….) and the pistachio cake. They are so nice and a real highlight to end the evening. The restaurant downstairs in the basement is quieter, would recommend that if you wish a more comfortable and relaxing experience. Alternative if you like people watching, then go for the ground floor and there is also a bar people pop in and out to try their cocktails. Food 9/10, service 9/10, ambience 8/10, value for money 9/10. Highly recommend and will definitely return! And a real gem in London West End!

Food was delicious. Have never been before and it was a lucky find. Went for an early pre theatre lunch and the food was 10 out of 10. Our table ordered bruscheta, beef carpaccio, and the lobster cocktail. Followed by steak and the lime seabass with new potatoes and green beans. Finished with a potion of the most delicious tirimisu. Went here without any knowledge or expectation but will definitely be returning

I just love this restaurant chain! We are regulars at the Covent Garden restaurant but they couldn’t fit us in there as we were a party of 10 for my birthday. I was passed to the regent st branch where I Corresponded with Irene who took my food booking and generally her customer service via email was on point. When we arrived we were seated downstairs, food was lovely. My only tiny complaint is they ran out of oysters, but I’ll get over that as the food, as always, made up for it! Thanks san carlo once again :)

Bellissima! Had an amazing dinner here with my best friend and everything was stunning from the super friendly and attentive service to the delicious food and fantastic décor. I'd definitely bring a date here because at night it has romantic vibes. If you like seafood then I can highly recommend their Lobster Thermidor - it was the best I've ever eaten! In Summary: San Carlo is a beautiful luxurious Italian with a very wide and varied menu, delicious food, fantastic service and great value for money. 10/10

Their service and food was great. I am not sure about some of the reviews that said otherwise. Bread was hot out of oven. Mozeralla with anchovy sauce had bit too much bread, but not bad. Pasta and the veal meat was good. I went there Sunday afternoon was not very busy.

Best Italian restaurant!!! Absolutely loved their sea food pasta! However, this place it’s not halal but there are other options. Furthermore, they have the best customer service. They were always making sure if we needed anything and if everything was good etc. Definitely worth checking!!

It’s a lovely night to celebrated my bestie’s birthday! Highly recommend the lobster pasta, their signature seafood pasta. The staff was really friendly and polite! I had a LOVELY birthday with my friends tonight. I can't remember all the names but that you to the waiting staff and one of the managers Veto for being so hospitable and kind to us.

Not the best pasta in London but very well executed dishes and impeccable level of service. The lobster ravioli starter was a little underwhelming in terms of presentation and flavour. For mains I had the turbot and ordered an accompaniment of vegetables which was beautifully prepared and served at the table. The drinks menu is substantial and you are also able to order champagne by the glass. The restaurant has just the right ambience for a romantic meal with the flexibility to also be suitable for a business meeting. 3 courses with drinks cost between £70-£100 per head. An overall good experience.

Delicious real Italian food. Pasta was probably the best pasta I’ve had outside of Italy. Staff were wonderful and helpful in making food suggestions. Puddings were incredibly tasty, although coffee could have been better (however this does not degrade the overall score).

Excellent restaurant just off the bustle of Regent Street proper. Fish menu is excellent in particular. Proper Italian experience - attentive service but not overpowering - good pace of serving - excellent food. Will be back.

Sadly on this occasion the service was really bad. I asked three times for more dressing for my seabass and tuna capachio and this was earlier evening. I never did get the dressing and just gave up and had to ask if they would top up are champagne as our glasses were empty. The staff are very very lovely but are service was really bad and feel rather annoyed having to pay 12.5% services. Literally gave them more money for bad service...

The atmosphere is nice, but the food is very mediocre at best. I booked this restaurant after receiving a recommendation from the Chef's other restaurant in Paris, which was amazing, so I expected something much more. The Carpaccio di Manzo was smothered in a mustard sauce, so much so that I could not see the beef. The black truffle on the pasta was grated, not shaved as you would expect. I had a much better Italian at Tozi, for less than half the price, Also, they charge you a £2 a person cover charge, for what reason I do not know. There are much better choices in London. The service was disorganized and slow, but our server did his best to accommodate every table.

Fantastic service, amazing food! Our waiter from Puglia (can't remember his name) was an absolute star! Will definitely be back many more times to come.

Service was good to start but became less good as the evening wore on and the restaurant filled up, although it was not full. We asked for more water twice and still did not get it. Bill was also incorrect.
