The service here was great. They were very quick and friendly. The food was good but nothing extraordinary. The baked subestime with tomato sauce was decent. We also ordered a pizza with minced beef and truffle. The pizza was good but nothing special.

Just found my go to place for authentic Italian pizza and as an Italian myself I can tell the difference between this and the others. I’ll go there to eat every time I’m in central London and I’m gonna make sure my friends also do. Base cooked to perfection and high quality Italian ingredients. Good prices and the staff is also on spot.

Went here for a quick pizza, to my surprise it was really nice! High-quality pizzas for a good price, nice staff and busy (but not to busy). Had a tiramisu as desert, which was also good. Could do with a little bit more depth in flavor. Would definitely go here again in the future.

I went here with a group of friends quite early in the evening on Monday the staff were all very friendly and the food came out at a reasonable time. Incredibly professional environment as well as a comforting and pleasant atmosphere , created through a combination of the unique and exquisite cuisine, however my experience was completely elevated through pleasant and friendly staff encounters, more specifically due to a kind and attentive waiter called Sam who provided beneficial and constructive suggestions surrounding the menu and directed me towards the Sant Vitorrio special, detailing me the positives surrounding this specific dish. I came here a few nights ago with a friend after work and we had the best evening. The pizzas were delicious, and I tried the vegan cheese which was great actually, really worked. But mostly the service was excellent, we were taken care of by a gracious young polish man, could have been the manager perhaps, and really went above and beyond for us. Really positive energy. Had a lovely night at Santa Maria. Mirco’s pizza is a delight (I had the San Gennaro) and the restaurant is very cosy and welcoming. Onion and olives focaccia as a starter was great and I topped the meal with a beautiful homemade tiramisu. Catherine who served us was graceful and polite, putting us immediately at ease. Had splendin day today at Santa Maria Fitzrovia, came there just for a drink - ended up ordering Margherita as well. Thought it will be just another basic neapoletana, but even for such basic pizza the ingredients, and dough made up for it, wouldn't call it best pizzeria in London, but definitely a great one - worth checking out! It was my friend’s turn to buy me dinner and after some back and forth we decided to have dinner in Santa Maria Pizzeria Napoletana. I had a Santa Catarina Pizza made up of tomato sauce, mozarella, salame, and parmesan for £9.95. My friend had a San Giusseppe Pizza made up of mozarella, sausage,parmesan, and friarielli for £10.95. Both pizzas were good and portions were enough but I’m not sure if it was worth the price, probably because I had equally good pizzas for half the value. Staff were nice and accommodating. Not sure if I’m coming back, maybe if someone paid for dinner again I will 😂. Three out of 5 stars.

When a restaurant has the tagline "The best pizza in London" you tend to think one of two things: either they're crazy and just hyping themselves up, or they really mean it. Luckily, in this instance, they really do mean it. The pizzas at Santa Maria are some of the best I've tasted in London at all - the pizzas are delectably juicy, with a nice firm and crispy base and an oozingly gooey heart. They do not skimp with their ingredients, and it shows, when you cut into a slice and watch the pizza bleed mozzarella and tomato sauce (in a good way). Every bite leaves you with a mouth watering satisfaction and I really am trying not to over exaggerate here. This place is definitely a must visit if you're a pizza fan, it tends to be quiet at around 2pm so if you're a late-luncher like me then you're in for a treat. The staff are super friendly and very attentive, and the selection of pizzas and starters are wide ranging in their flavours and even accessibility - with Santa Maria boasting their new Vegan pizzas (which I've yet to try but have heard good things about). Definitely and highly recommended.

Lovely/tasty pizzas 🍕 --FYI, they don't offer pasta! You can taste the quality of the produce used to prepare the pizzas, and the cost is about the same as other 'high-street' pizzerias. The staff is friendly and service is good. The atmosphere on a Tuesday evening was quite relaxed. We didn't book but a table was available for an 1h15; it was enough time for the three of us to enjoy our meal. However, if you want more time, then maybe it's safer to book. 😉

Really an interesting place, the staff are italian like the owner i do belive, and they make proper food. Nice selection of wine a bit less for the beer, the reason of the 3 stars are mainly 2, is kind small so when is busy will be an hell having a good date and second they have a beautiful wooden oven but they did burn my pizza and is really annoying, overall i think i will be back with friends and may change my reviews to a 4 star if the manage to not burn that lovely pizza that they make, love the idea of the saint all over the place.

This pizza is unbelievable. The toppings are so fresh, the dough a perfect mix of soft and crunchy, the sauce the right amount of seasoning. When they placed an entire ball of burrata smack dab in the middle of my pizza, I was sold. We also had the meatballs. Delicious. And some fresh bread to scoop up that sauce. All excellent. It's very busy. Would suggest reservations on busy evenings, such as Friday night.

Had this pizza delivered. I rarely leave reviews but the gluten free pizza was just too good. I never get pizza and have never liked it much, even before I went gluten free 6 years ago. Their gf option made me realize again the reason people enjoy pizza so much. :) It does not taste like normal gf, it is a lot less tough, for example a place like pizza express where the dough is terrible for gf. I liked the texture of the dough, I enjoyed the vegan cheese option, as it tasted quite buttery and different, not overly artificial. My throat normally closes up with cheap/unhealthy oils like sunflower oil, but it didn't with this pizza, so i know that good oil was used. :) My only critique would be a little more tomato and more toppings, but it was so moist and enjoyable that I did not mind. I can't wait to try some more flavors, and this will now be the only place I go to get pizza as a treat. :)))

I went for dinner yesterday to Santa Maria in Fitzrovia and my experience was extremely positive! The pizza was huge and delicious! I also ordered the burrata and parmigiana as starters and they were the best I've had so far in London. The food was served quickly and the bread was absolutely amazing! All the ingredients were fresh and tasty and the pizza was just as we do it in Naples :) I strongly recommend it if you fancy to have a traditional Italian pizza!

The pizza was very nice - in my experience the second best in London after Pizzaria Di Camden. However, our waiter stated that we had not paid the entire bill by not paying the full service charge (we paid about 8% extra, the service charge was 10%). I had to state that it is not a legal requirement to pay the service charge at a restaurant in the UK. To be frank this will lose them service because it has put me off going back.

A friend was not happy with her pizza but the waitress didn't seem to acknowledge her dissatisfaction and just cleaned up the half eaten pizza. As a huge advocate of the branch in Ealing Broadway, I was very happy to see the food is kept up to scratch in this branch. Highly recommend the, San Mattia and San Rocco. I would definitely say the staff and service are way more attentitive and friendly here opposed to branch in Ealing. However, the only thing holding me back from giving this place 5 stars is the atmosphere. In Ealing, the restaurant is small, quirky, buzzing with customers, dimly lit and feels authentic. In the Fitzrovia branch, the experience is the polar opposite, which is such a shame. Hopefully they work on this!
